HERE ARE SOME THINGS I LEARNED:

  1. I learned to take as much time as I need when making a decision, (like choosing my word for the year), that greatly impacts my self-esteem, my serenity and my self-compassion.
  2. I learned to pay attention throughout my day, to WHAT messages my body is whispering, (and sometimes screaming), to me; AND pay attention to how my disposition is showing up - and HONOR & ACKNOWLEDGE those messages & feelings. Don’t push those feelings aside - instead use them as clues for how to proceed,
  3. I learned that I feel WAY better when I strive to keep my mindset as positive as possible, eliminating negative self-talk and incorporating more compassionate and supportive encouragement to the words I choose to speak -  especially the words that the voice in my head uses.
  4. I learned that the words we choose and use really do matter. From where I’m sitting, there’s an enormous difference between DISCIPLINE and INTENTIONALITY.
  5. And lastly, I also learned that the temperature of the Atlantic Ocean in January is WAY, way colder than the temperature of the cold water streaming from the shower head in our homes!
