Hi, I spent more than 100 hours on this 3 minute song and video. First, I wrote the song. Then I practiced the song. Then I recorded my guitar and vocals. I next sent those files to my amazing friend Ryan Dicker , a musical genius and sound engineer, who added bass and drums, before mixing it down. He’s amazing. Then, I drew. Fifty times. Then I edited. And re-drew. And edited. Then I stopped. Warts and all… Please give it a listen, and please send it to a friend if you think they’d like the song and its message. I sincerely hope you enjoy this. I had so much fun. So much. And life is supposed to be fun, right? Lyrics: The Biggest Giant Ever (in the World) The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever, in the world Once upon a time when dinosaurs ruled this land There weren't any humans but the giants had clans and in this special group there was an extra-large man He was the biggest giant, but no one understands The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever, in the world Swimming and sunshine and darkness and cold In Flagstaff ya know, in Flagstaff I'm told Swimming and sunshine and darkness and cold In Flagstaff ya know, in Flagstaff I'm old Fear is just a word that people give to things But there's no such thing, yeah there's no such thing Fear is just a word that people give to things But there's no such thing, yeah there's no such thing. The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever The biggest giant ever, in the world Swimming and sunshine and darkness and cold He was the biggest giant at least that's what I'm told but even if he's tired or he's just feeling old he was the biggest giant in the whole wide world And once upon a time when dinosaurs ruled this land There weren't any humans but the giants had clans and in this special group there was an extra-large man He was the biggest giant but you will never understand This is a public episode. Dayle Adams began formulating an idea to enable people to leave behind information, memories, and messages after the suicide of a great friend. This week’s Coffin Talk features one of the five most influential people I’ve ever had the privilege of learning from. Her name is Tiffany Chan, and she’s a Master Akashic Healer, and her life story is fascinating: After working with the World Economic Forum, she was crossing a busy street in South Africa and was nearly killed by a car. This wake-up call led her to becoming a Spiritual Advisor, and she now helps leaders embody higher consciousness, teaching clients how to access the Quantum field. Book an appointment and/or find her on LinkedIn . She'd love to help you. It's her calling. I had a session with her, and it was life-changing. You will not regret it. And if you want a FREE primer, no problem! Just listen to her episode, right here! If you want to know who the other four influences are, I’ve interviewed three (so far): The fourth is my former boss, Eugene Gray , who for some reason keeps delaying his recording, but that’s probably because capturing his essence is harder than getting lightning in a bottle, so I’ll continue to hope and pray that he commits to coming on… This is a public episode. Alex was always an exploratory person, open to exploring the hidden depths of life. This became especially true in his 20s, when his own Jewish heritage became a centerpiece of deeper thought as on campus Jewish outreach sparked a deep interest in his Jewish identity. This led him on a path of 6 years of study in Israel in a "Yeshiva" where he learned how to blend the physical and spiritual world in a beautiful balancing act that to this day, is expressed in his work as a musician, sales personality, and devoted Jew. When Christian was a young child, he remembered his existence before coming to Earth. While that memory left him completely for his early adult life, it spontaneously returned 11 years ago as he took up a meditation practice and went through a personal awakening journey. He also began to have Out of Body Experiences (OBEs). He now often speaks publicly as he seeks to remind others in at least a small part of who we really are beneath the human “play.” Professionally, Christian has worked for 16 years as a project manager for complex nuclear pump and valve manufacturing projects. He is the author of the book “ A Walk in the Physical, ” which attempts to succinctly describe the larger spiritual context in which we exist and the importance of love in our human journey. Nate was raised on a farm in rural Pennsylvania. He left home for the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 2002. Since then, he has developed a decent career as a software engineer, and is the father of one silly boy. He's also vegan, but not one to talk about it unless asked. So I asked him about it. Francois was born into a life filled with a range of abuses starting at the age of 2. The feeling of being broken and the desire to end his own life were at the center of his mind for many years. This also took him deep into the underbelly of drug addiction and street life. Having come close to death from overdoses, alcohol poisoning, and suicide attempts gave him a special relationship with death, but It was a traumatic near-death experience (NDE) in 1995 that would finally shape his relationship with life and death. Born from a deep desire to transcend suffering, he has purged his old life and discovered true love from above, and has embraced the path of a guide, helping others turn lead into gold. Meet Len Oppenheim, my Dad! In his own words: "In terms of my mundane life, I have put bread on the table by being a professional gambler, a lawyer, a stock broker/ institutional salesman for an investment bank, and for the last 19 years a private investor. I have been fortunate to meet many fine, successful, intelligent, and interesting people along the way. If you ask me from which group I found the people to be of consistently high moral character and paragons of integrity I would, in a heartbeat, select bookmakers. In my inner life I have evolved from a physical materialist to a spiritual seeker. In chronological order, those that influenced me the most have been Paramahansa Yogananda Autobiography of a Yogi), Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and Ramesh Balsekar. I have been blessed by the opportunity to spend quality time in person with the latter two." Come hear a father and son talk about death, and life. Find us, follow us, like us, and subscribe! Erin Graves is a native to the California Bay Area, currently living in Oakland, her favorite city in the world. She absolutely loves it and all it's craziness—even the traffic (It's opportunity for long phone calls). She trains dogs in San Francisco, which is also a good city and she has a lot of opinions about many subjects, some of which she is knowledgeable about. She is usually nicer to people behind their backs than she is to their face and now you can hear why she thinks morality “is learned.” Find us, follow us, like us, and subscribe! Matinay Justice is a 34-year-old Cambodian American living in Seattle with their husband and 6-year-old daughter.
