The Lesson of the Inexhaustible Jar. This podcast is adapted from the public domain sermon by Rev. Charles Haddon Spurgeon, The Inexhaustible Barrel, which he delivered on Sunday morning, December 18th, 1859, at Exeter Hall, Strand, England. It’s core thought is built on 1 Kings 17:16, which reads in the King James version, the Bible translation from which he preached: “And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Elijah.” Friend, you can count on this: come what may-God’s people are safe. In the midst of these historically turbulent times we will not allow agitation to distress us. As we stand upon his promises and rest in his faithfulness, we can stand against the blackest future, for there is nothing in it dreadful or terrible for us. This podcast tells you how all of these things are true and work toward us flourishing in 2023!
