Texas area native and Nashville transplant, known for his success on NBC's The Voice, Joey Green has become a household name in Texas for his rock 'n' roll to soul country rollercoaster ride of a live show. He considers his genre post-Americana - a mix of Americana, rock and country. During an interview with Media Hub, he described it as “Americana with a pop sensibility, story songs with banger hooks.” Joey says he got his start singing “Duke of Earl” in a sixth-grade talent show. By the time he was a high school senior, he had his own band and they were playing gigs around their hometown. Green has eight albums to his credit, the latest being “Puttin’ It Out There,” a 6-song EP released in May 2022. “The War,” was an 11-song project released in 2015. He released his debut album, “Outside the Circle,” and for a while performed in a band called Defining Briscoe. Other releases include “Vinyl Destination” (2008), “Whatever Lady” (2009), “EP Tone Home” (2011), “Lo 5” (2013), “Live at the Whiskey Girl Saloon” (2013). Green has toured or performed with national acts, including the Eli Young Band, Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue, Kevin Fowler, Sean McConnell, Giovannie & the Hired Guns, and Sam Riggs. For the past several years, he’s been part of an international tour in London, Australia and Mexico called the Texas Music Takeover with other well-known Texas artists, Pat Green, Cody Canada, Wade Bowen, Vaden Todd Lewis (The Toadies), Sara Jaffe, Josh Abbott, Koe Wetzel, Parker McCollum, Mike Ryan, and Casey Donahew. Joey celebrates this year with a penned #1 on the Texas Regional Radio Charts, “Old Timers” with George Ducas. Texas Female Artist of the Decade, Bri Bagwell , is a force to be reckoned with on the Texas Country scene. Bri has seen her audience grow and diversify as she has progressed through the musical landscape. From her first full-length release, Banned from Santa Fe in 2011, to her 2022 release Corazón y Cabeza (Heart and Head) Bri has masterfully commanded the stage for over a decade with her rousingly fun live performances and trailblazing artistry while creating a loyal and passionate fan base. Bri grew up in Las Cruces, NM but now lives in New Braunfels, TX. From the time she was writing poems in her childhood bedroom, to teaching herself how to play a dusty old piano, to getting her first taste of honky-tonk life singing in her twin brothers’ band at age 14, to playing her first solo show in college, Bri has integrated music into each stage of her life. After high school, jumping at the chance to live in ‘The Live Music Capital of the World’, Bri attended the University of Texas in Austin. It was here that Bri picked up a guitar and quickly learned to play a few chords. She jokes, “because it was easier to carry than a piano.” Finding herself in the right city with a new passion for the 6-string life surrounded by fellow musicians, Bri was drawn to the stage. Following graduation Bri worked with a startup company in Austin where she utilized her marketing major. But she began playing shows so frequently, she found herself needing to choose between her day job and her dream. After just three months, Bri knew what she had to do and transitioned full time into her music career. With nine #1 songs in Texas and multiple Female Vocalist of the Year awards to her credit, it is clear she made the right choice. A talent as tremendous as Bri’s has begun to garner national attention. People Magazine recently premiered her new record saying, “Bri Bagwell finds the path to her own heart on new album Corazón y Cabeza...[Bagwell] is increasingly finding her name being mentioned amongst country music truth tellers such as Ashley McBryde and Morgan Wade .” Bri’s musical influences have all played a part in her musical evolution; from Johnny Cash to Dwight Yoakum, Miranda Lambert to George Strait, their spirits live within her songs. While on the road, she has shared the stage with some of the best: Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Gary Alan, Dwight Yoakum, Randy Rogers, Robert Earl Keen, Wade Bowen just to name a few. Playing over 150 shows in back-to-back years, Bagwell is no stranger when it comes to hard work. Fresh off the release of her new record, she is already writing new music alongside planning tour dates to some of her favorite venues. When asked about life on the road, Bri responds, “it’s in my blood.” Be on the lookout for new show announcements for 2023.

Meet Zack When Zack Walther went to college to major in music, he had to choose an “instrument of study.” And—no accident—he chose his own voice. As a child of the 1980s he sang in the school choir and learned to play songs by ear on his brother’s upright piano, “But it was mainly the white keys,” he recalls. Then, as an afterthought, he adds, “It still is.” That piano may have been the first musical instrument he ever touched, but it certainly wasn’t the last. By the time the ’90s rolled around, he was a teenager immersed in rock and roll and already a developing musician. That’s when he found his father’s old nylon-string classical guitar, long forgotten and stashed in the family attic. When he was 13, his folks, aware of his interest, bought him a basic electric guitar and a little Crate amp. Two years later, they surprised him on Christmas with his first quality acoustic guitar. “I played all through Christmas day,” he says. “Playing songs, learning songs, country songs, rock songs, just basic chords.” Still, he knew he was destined to be a vocalist—first and foremost. “Singing was a natural thing for me, and it always has been because I’ve gone through college and actually been classically trained to sing.” He picked up piano and guitar on his own, and though he’s had a few lessons, considers himself self-taught. “There was always interest early on, very early, playing music and singing. And because I was the vocalist of my friends, I’ve always been the lead singer,” he says. “ And his growth as an artist never stops, as the Zack Walther Band expands its audience. A recent original, “Mustang Wine,” is, as he puts it, “a perfect example of the direction this band is headed.” Wherever Walther and his band are going, they’re doing it at breakneck speed, and for fans of that special kind of music you can only find in Texas, they can’t wait until he gets there. – G. C. Larson Meet Matt If you’re lucky enough to catch the Zack Walther Band performing live, you notice one thing right away: In most bands, the drummer’s sitting on a small stool surrounded by a whole bunch of drums. But this guy’s standing up, and he’s got just that one snare drum. Plus, if you get closer, you pick up on something strange: his bass pedal is beating on the side of an old suitcase. Yep, you’re looking at Matt Briggs, and his evolution from a kid playing on a second-hand drum kit to his emergence today as a musical force to be reckoned with is sure to become part of Texas music lore. Zack’s dad bought him a guitar for Christmas, and Matt’s Dad came across a drum kit; it was a foregone conclusion that they would join forces. By then, the two friends were freshmen in high school and started practicing in a garage, doing “Green Day and Pearl Jam, stuff that was cool in the ‘90s,” he says. Today he shows up with that suitcase modified with a bass drum pedal, a single snare drum and cymbal on a stand, plus a little

Mason Marek is the embodiment of a true-blooded, blue-collared artist and musician. From New Ulm, Texas, Mason grew up playing with his grandpa, Gaylen, across the state. Early on, he began writing short stories while surrounded by true, genuine Texas Country Music. This storytelling passion would one day become the foundation for his songwriting. After the passing of his grandfather, Mason’s love for playing faded as he lost the one who introduced him to music. During this period, he would have to deal with the loss of several other close family members. After he graduated, he began to find music again and rediscovered his passion. However, death would come again as his best friend of 17 years suddenly passed away. This time, however, it would be different. The music stayed and helped Mason cope with the losses he’s experienced. He began to express his feelings in his lyrics and decided to record his songs as a symbol of starting a new chapter in life. In 2018, Drifter found its way to top 15 of the Texas Music Spotify Charts. Opportunity has allowed him to open for many well-established Texas artists such as Randy Rogers, Sunny Sweeney, Micky & The Motorcars and Austin Meade. Today, Mason is taking his band, The Drifters, and chasing that Texas Red Dirt Scene, following the footsteps of his grandfather. Learning the same lessons his grandpa once learned, making the same mistakes, and chasing the same dream. https://www.facebook.com/MasonMarekMusic91/ https://www.instagram.com/masonmarekandthedrifters/?hl=en https://open.spotify.com/artist/6JgLCTQ5qWyPLl480gCbjy https://twitter.com/masonmarek

"You see, what had happened was..." I'm from Ennis, Texas. The Neel and Getzendaner sides of my family helped settled Ellis County, and the Templetons and Atwoods were in Ennis before it was a town. Given the lofty expectations that came along with that, I gotta say I reckon I've been somewhat of a disappointment. Fast forward to the summer of 1980, when you could find me at a few different songwriter haunts in the Lower Greenville area of Dallas, watching, learning, listening, and playing my own compositions (which frankly weren't that great back then), and zeroing in on what I wanted my life's work to be, without a clue how to make that happen. I'm still kinda clueless about how to do that, honestly. At that time it was called folk music, because that was the catch-all genre before "Americana" was invented. I spent the next seven years doing this type of thing, as well as serving as a sideman, rhythm guitarist/ background vocalist in a number of country bands, and fronting one of my own. I learned lessons from every one of those experiences; some of them good, all of them necessary. In 1987 I was recruited to sing "hair metal," though that ain't what we called it then, by a band my brother was playing drums for. Over the next 10 years I fronted two successful, fun bands during the halcyon days of the Dallas Metal Scene, paled around with those Abbott boys, and Dave Williams, (RIP to all three), opened for many of the platinum selling artists of the genre across Texas, and was certain I was gonna be a rockstar. I was wrong, obviously, but I sure had a lot of fun. And I'm still around to talk about it, so there's that. In 1999 I took a job in the Texas Hill Country in a small town where I knew no one, to get my then 3-yr old out of the gang infested area of DFW we were living in, to give her a "hometown" to grow up in, and to heal from a busted marriage. Music got placed on the back burner for the next several years, though you could find me on a stage in Austin now and then singing a couple of tunes with a friend's band, or shamelessly showing off at local karaoke, or showing up somewhere in the Hill Country with a guitar hoping to sit in here and there. I was doing what I thought I was supposed to. Music was replaced by various hobbies and bad habits. In 2006 I started actively writing songs again, and in 2008 I walked into Timbre Lodge Studios and began work on my first, full-length record under my own name, titled How Country, which was released in late 2009. That album brought me lifelong music family relationships that hold up to this day, and garnered me the 2010 Texas Music Award for Rising Star of the Year (a title that my mom enjoyed ribbing me about at my advanced age, compared to the normally more youthful artists that award was given to). In 2011, my friend and co-writer Heath Childs and I released Atwood-Childs Trading Pains, also recorded at Timbre Lodge, a dark 14-song acoustic record of songs just

Upstart Hayden Hilliard is a Fort Worth native but resides in a small north texas town called Justin. His love for music started at a young age when he was introduced to the Texas Red Dirt Scene with artist like: Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Jinks, Brandon Rhyder, Daryl Dodd, Stoney Larue and many more. He has been playing guitar and singing for just under 2 years and is all self taught. Hayden has a full band and is currently searching for more full band gigs. He played his first open mic in early 2020 and he hasn’t looked back since, in this short amount of time Hayden has gained quiet a bit of success. He has been nominated for the Texas Country Music Association’s (18 & under New emerging artist of the year) and will be on the Red Carpet at Billy Bobs in November. He also just released his second single “Better Off Dead” a mysterious head banger sounding tune perfect for the spookiness of Halloween season, and just a great song in general. His First single titled “Indian Woman” is about Hayden’s brother whom he lost at birth. He wrote this song with the Indian woman representing his brother spirit and how he is always with him. Indian Woman has accumulated over 27,000 streams and made it on the Texas music Spotify chart at #38. We are approaching the one year anniversary of the song on October 22nd. At the tender age of eighteen, the Seattle-born crooner Gus Clark hit out to explore the United States with a backpack and a mandolin, cutting his teeth playing on the street and traveling by freight train or the kindness of those still bold enough to pick up a hitchhiker. Emerging over ten years later as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist (guitar, accordion, mandolin, and more), he now pays beautiful homage to an ultra-deep well of golden-era American music traditions, ranging from pre-WWII blues to 1960s Nashville honky tonk. In a voice that combines unique sincerity with pitch-perfect emotive richness, Clark delivers classic barn-burners, good-time dance tunes, bittersweet heartbreak ballads, and his own originals. His remarkable tenor and powerful musical presence are guaranteed to both wrench hearts and propel listeners onto the dance floor, whether Clark performs solo or backed by his rock-solid band. Over the years, Clark has proved himself as a staple of the Seattle music scene, frequenting the area's renowned country dance bars and Americana venues and lighting up its largest festivals with a range of projects. A regular guest vocalist at tribute nights and charity events, he's shared the stage with contemporary greats and up-and-comers such as Charlie Crockett, Pokey LaFarge, Eilen Jewell, Cactus Blossoms, Jeremy Pinnell, Whitney Rose, Easy Leaves, and Jaime Wyatt. He’s a regular touring member of the outlaw party-country band Country Lips, contributing on accordion, vocals, and mandolin. For a decade now, Clark has also made music - an unmatchable mix of early jazz, jug-band, country, blues, old-time, Cajun, klezmer and originals - with his "musical sibling,” the Virginia-raised fiddle virtuoso and singer/songwriter Annie Ford. The dynamic duo's sweet harmonies have won hearts in humble living rooms, on street corners, on the grand stages of old vaudeville theaters, and far beyond. https://www.gusclarkmusic.com/ https://www.facebook.com/gusclarkmusic/ https://www.instagram.com/gusclarkmusic/?hl=en https://open.spotify.com/artist/30Brw2NUOHg27lJfSsalHV https://music.apple.com/us/artist/gus-clark-the-least-of-his-problems/1435461314

Mike Graham's earliest songs were noticeably shaped by the energy buried in the flatlands and oilfields of West Texas. Born in Pecos, raised in and around Dumas, Big Spring, Midland and Odessa, Texas, it's not surprising that his debut album (1999) was titled "Just West of Nowhere". Although his musical influences include Rodney Crowell, James McMurtry, Springsteen, Steve Earle and Townes Van Zandt - Guy Clark, Delbert McClinton, Joe Ely, and Butch Hancock (all from West Texas) are on the list as well. Mike's second album titled "Find You a Highway" (2001) was produced by Larry Joe Taylor and includes several more West Texas influenced songs. His third release, "Bad Ideas" (2003), was produced by legendary guitarist, songwriter, and member of the Lost Gonzo Band John Inmon. The whiskey-soaked heartland rock record was well-received and got significant airplay on Texas radio as well as on Sirius/XM's Outlaw Country station. After touring just about every club, honky-tonk, and festival in Texas and beyond for almost a decade, Mike retired from the music business in 2006 to focus on his new family and generally becoming a grown-up. In 2020, with more time on his hands and a batch of unrecorded songs, Mike called on his former bandmates Bracken Hale, Corby Schaub, and Derek Groves, plus Heather Stalling, Geoff Queen, Courtney Patton, and Chris Schlotzhauer. The result is a seven song EP "Sunset/Sunrise". It was released in November of 2020. The self-explanatory first track is titled "Good to be Back". Whether alone or alongside some of the best songwriters working today, Mike is very glad to be back writing and performing his songs. https://open.spotify.com/artist/0Z4q1rOm7YTXnOd0XuHvQB?si=RoOavAp-R0-wnbQt0mGPSA https://music.apple.com/us/artist/mike-graham/962755309

PUG JOHNSON AND THE HOUNDS AMERICANA Pug Johnson and The Hounds hail from the Golden Triangle region of Southeast Texas, and their sound reflects the blend of musical influences that have converged there. Johnson met Southpaw Smitty in 2017 who took it upon himself to form a band for the young writer in early 2018. The original lineup featured Chris Webb on drums, Zach Edd on bass, and Southpaw on guitar, mandolin, and banjo. The band began learning the list of songs that Johnson had written since the dismantling of his first project Slow Rollin' Lows as well as the list of covers that he had reimagined into his own arrangements. That same year, the band went into Four Eyes Studios in Beaumont, TX and recorded their first single “Calling My Name” under the guidance of producer/engineer Ryan Johnson. The following year, The Hounds would revisit Four Eyes twice more to record “Johnny” and “Back to Austin.” 2019 also found the Hounds adding drummer Chris Cropper and trombonist Andrew Rhoads to the lineup. In the shit show that was 2020, the Hounds were unable to be as active as anticipated and yielded only one single in October of that year with “Coyote Ken Tucky and the Navajo Bucky and Their Perilous Journey Through Corsicana, TX in the Year of our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen.” This release gave listeners a glimpse into the humor that lives and breathes within the band as well as highlighted their varying musical influences. https://open.spotify.com/artist/7Jrh16v5jTLnomhJCDH1CU?si=gWtKacZvTiq91s-K03WknQ https://music.apple.com/us/artist/pug-johnson-and-the-hounds/1441089659 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6jL9NPzhCKCxYqxhfdsimg https://www.facebook.com/PugJohnsonandTheHounds https://www.pandora.com/artist/pug-johnson-and-the-hounds/ARJ29ZccwnXn6lJ

At age 22, Andi picked up an old acoustic guitar after she had her son so she could write her own songs and sing to her new born. Even though she had been singing her whole life, singing while playing the guitar quickly went from a hobby to a passion. Andi wrote and wrote and then wrote some more. As the music and lyrics poured out of her, she performed across Southern Texas in festivals and fairs. Spending some time as a musician in the few years following, it never became full time. Her life as a single mom, raising her son and working full time kept her very busy. It was the life she wanted and loved with no regrets. Andi was born and raised in the Houston area. Her Texas roots run deep. The love she has for the Texas Hill Country started at the age of 6 when she took her first trip to the Frio River. Although Andi has traveled and lived in other places throughout her adulthood, her goal was to get back to Texas and play her music! In 2015, Andi moved back to Texas! After a quick trip to New Braunfels from North Dakota, where she lived at the time, she decided that New Braunfels needed to be her new home. And after a visit to Gruene Hall where she watched local singer/songwriters perform, she knew without a doubt, she could come to Texas and perform her music again, only in big ways this time. Today, this Texas native is now performing originals and covers full time across the central Texas and surrounding areas. She is making up for lost time and making a name for herself in big ways as her journey continues! Throughout 2021 and 2022, Andi has performed at the San Antonio rodeo, performed a set at Gruene Hall and has opened for amazing Texas recording artists like Courtney Patton and Zac Wilkerson (and more booked in the near future). She is currently in the studio recording with seasoned producer Keith Davis and other talented Texas musicians. She, along with 3 talented girls (Alli Mattice, Kelany Brent and Kayla Jane) started a new female quartet known as The Billie Jeans. Andi performs full time as a Solo, duo, trio or full band, depending on venue needs. Hire her for a big stage, a small acoustic stage or a private party! This girl is going places and doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon! Left Arm Tan comes full circle in 2022. The band that took its name from the Wilco song Monday returns with a new album produced by Ken Coomer of Wilco. The album, Undefeated (May 20, 2022), is a work with purpose. Featuring genre bending songs that blend Alternative, Americana and influences from the 70’s and 80’s, it is a rock album that refuses to compromise. An album hell bent on delivering the goods. LAT is comprised of Brian Lee (vocals, guitar), Daniel Hines (guitar, vocals), Shawn Light (guitar, vocals), Joseph Lopez (bass), Tim Manders (drums, vocals) and Mark Belding (trumpet/steel guitar). LAT released their first CD, Jim, in 2010 and the opening track Wish quickly won Song of the Year from Saving Country Music. Their follow up EP Thurm established them as a band to watch. But it was 2013’s release, Alticana, described by Routes and Branches as “nothing less than one of the brightest, most tuneful albums of 2013,” that established Left Arm Tan as a true critics favorite in the US and Europe. The band has continued their “twangy, almost mystical romanticism” (No Depression) with the critically acclaimed albums Lorene (2016), El Camino (2018), and Left Arm Tan (2020). In a world beset by pandemics, free streaming, and apathy, it’s good to know one band remains Undefeated. Or as Ernest Hemingway said it, “Man (or a band) is not made for defeat…A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” Old Man and the Sea. 1952 LAT will be touring in the United States and United Kingdom during 2022. Alli Mattice and Eric Langenhahn are both seasoned musicians who met through the thriving music scene in New Braunfels, TX. Eric has been in many bands, is sales rep for Fender and previously Takamine, Ovation and Hamer Guitars, and has an unrelenting passion for music. Alli was raised in a home that not only hosted singer songwriters, but were additionally sure to take her to concerts and festivals, even if it required a chat with somebody to get this little girl in to hear the music. From childhood, she could not stop singing and making noise. Decades later Eric and Alli would run into each other whilst making noise and, Needless to say, it was “love at first listen.” Prior to Alli’s wedding week, her former guitar player needed to call it quits, and Alli had not only an isle to walk down, but 3 gigs in the following week that needed to be filled. Her steady band (Alli Mattice Band) needed a temporary guitar player, so Alli reached out to Eric whom she had seen play around town and admired his musicianship. Eric agreed to save the day, but just temporarily as he was obliged to other bands and projects. After our quick practices prior to some big performances, Eric did not want the music relationship to be temporary and they became a team. Alli is known for her soulful, strong, and groovy vocals, and Eric is known for his supportive and tactful rhythm guitar as well as his dancing lead guitar solos that will send your mind and body on a rocketship into the heart of the song. For 3 years, Alli, Eric, and Jake Koenig (groovy and absolute fun to watch drummer) have played together in the Alli Mattice Band and can promise you eclectic and soulful covers and originals. They are currently working on, writing and recording new original songs that they cannot wait to share with the world. Haddock’s diligent nature mixed with his traditional, authentic style of country music has quickly solidified his spot as a staple in the Red Dirt Country scene. Gearing up to release a string of new singles with hit producer/songwriter and Haddock's manager Trent Willmon (Cody Johnson, Eric Church, Randy Houser, Little Big Town) at the helm, the young talent is on an unprecedented path. Haddock recently released the first taste of new music in nearly 2 years with “Wind It Down” and “Better Than Your Memory”, and is slated to release a collaboration with Jon Wolfe in the coming months. The new project follows Haddock's early 2020 Red Dirt Texas album release which has produced 3 Top 15 Texas Country singles. The Texas A&M Senior clocks more than 150 tour dates a year and has recently opened for artists including Randall King, Steve Wariner, Kevin Fowler, Casey Donahew, Roger Creager and more. Currently boasting more than 3 million streams, Haddock has tracks featured on Spotify’s Texas Music Now , Apple Music’s Don’t Mess With Texas and Amazon Music’s Texas Forever playlists. Haddock further solidified his trajectory when he was awarded New Male Vocalist of the Year at the leading Texas award show, the 2020 T3R Awards. Haddock’s 10-track, sophomore album entitled Red Dirt Texas , features five songs co-written by Haddock and chart-topping songwriters including Willmon, Kevin Fowler, David Lee Murphy, Terry McBride, Tommy Karlas, John Pierce, Jim Collins and more. Upon its January 2020 release, Red Dirt Texas reached No. 39 on the iTunes Country albums chart. The “Red Dirt Texas” music video made its world premiere on Billboard and has racked up more than 450K views across all platforms. Staying true to his Texas roots, Haddock recently announced a partnership with award-winning Texas based distillery, Texas Ranger Whiskey. Some may be surprised to find out that Haddock is only 22-years-old as he has a musical instinct well beyond his years and sites influences from George Strait, Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi and Clay Walker. When Haddock is not juggling classes and tour dates, the avid outdoorsman spends time hunting, fishing and experimenting on his Traeger grill. Having been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age, Haddock works with several organizations to help spread awareness of the disease and is an advocate/speaker for JDRF. There’s a reason kids in small towns listen to songs about getting out. If you roll up 59 North outside of Houston, past all the suburbs and the strip malls, you’ll eventually hit Splendora, TX. It was in this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it-town where Jeff Canada first picked up the guitar, playing alongside his Grandpa and Uncle. After sidelining his dream for ten years to raise a family, Canada picked his guitar back up and ventured into the Houston cover scene, quickly carving out a niche with his unapologetic stage antics, biting comedy, and unmatched work ethic. An audience of rabid regulars followed, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he finally found the voice he’d been struggling to get out in all those years of covering other people. It was a hell of a year. His marriage ended, followed by the death of his mother, and something finally cracked in the 6’3” Splendora boys otherwise tough exterior. “I wan ted to write a real, honest record,” Canada says. “Every line on paper is a line on my face, things I’ve lived. I could not have written this album ten, or even five years ago.” Those songs would become Wishin’ Well, his first solo LP, and the foundation for an entirely new iteration of Jeff Canada as both a performer and a human being. This version isn’t running from anything. “I took a long hard look in the mirror and realized that it was mostly because of my own decisions,” he says. And that self-awareness explains why he can sin about the darkest moments in his life with a spark in his eye. It also explains why he’s since shared the stage with Stoney Larue, Chad Prather, Shane Smith and the Saints, Kevin Fowler, Cody Canada, Kody West, and sold out the legendary Texas listening room, Dosey Doe on his solo first appearance. In this episode of Gotta Love Texas Music, we sit down with Jeff Vaughn. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. What a great voice and ability to tell a story through his songs. Jeffrey Ryan Vaughn is as Texan as it gets, and he is as big as Texas too!. He is a proud, born and raised Texan, from the Dallas area…Plano, TX. He is a self-taught musician that started picking and writing in the early 2000’s. His influences are very vast, and you can catch him playing anything from originals…to Jason Isbell…to Chris Knight…to Miley Cyrus…to Snoop Dogg. “I like to play my own music, but I really like to give my spin on other people’s music too.” He really is a one-man show, as he is typically seen playing solo…or doing song swaps with his friends. His 2014 debut album is called Lone Star State of Mind, and he put out an 3-Song EP “Rise Up From The Ashes” in 2017, that can be listened to on any platform of your choice. His vocals are as gritty as the West Texas Desert and his writings are as smooth as Texas Whiskey. Jeffrey Ryan Vaughn can be seen playing around local bars, saloons and taverns in the New Braunfels, TX area. With backwoods bathed vocals and bona fide southern swagger, Payton Howie is leading the next generation of redneck women. Branded as the ultimate ‘All American Girl’ by Scenes Media, Howie unapologetically embodies the untamed tradition that country music was built on, and she’s hellbent on bringing her own grit to the honky tonk. Not many can say they’ve shared the stage with the likes of Carrie Underwood, and Howie is one of even fewer who can say they were handpicked to do so at the age of 5; while other kids were learning how to ride a bike, she was teaching people to expect the unexpected whenever they hear the name Payton Howie. Her singles “Freedom”, "Never Go Home", and "Country Before Me" are featured on several of Spotify’s sought after editorial playlists and her debut EP, "Youngblood", has attained over a million streams across platforms. The accompanying music video for "Never Go Home" shows off her non-stop party attitude while the "Freedom" music video bleeds red, white, and blue. Having just released her newest single, "Jail and Jesus", Payton Howie is prepared to scorch country music with a brand that’s hers alone.

In this episode we are once again hanging out at Kim and David's house in New Braunfels. We sat down with an amazing musician, Devin Baize. Not often am I surprised when I go see someone perform, but Devin made quite an impression. Devin Baize was born in the tall East Texas pines, where he found his country rooted sound. His soulful voice carries a low rich range, which pairs well with his tales of heartache, triumph, and travel. His ability to play harmonica and stomp box while singing and playing guitar, sure makes this troubadour an act you don't want to miss. In this episode we sit down and talk with Jackson Randolph in our kitchen. This episode may or may not contain adult content such as strong language, references to smoking, alcohol, sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. You'll just have to listen to find out. Jackson Randolph, both born and raised in Rockwall, Texas is an aspiring musician. His love of music has always been a light in his life. Jackson is a senior in high school, works part time, and still finds time to play gigs when he can. He has been playing guitar for 8 years and is pretty much self taught. Jackson joined the youth band at his local church when he was 13. "It pushed me to learn more," he said. Eventually he had the idea to try and write a song. His first song that he wrote was "Empty Promises" and it was recorded on his phone in his bedroom. The song was then released on music platforms. Since then he has been playing live and writing as much as he can. He aspires to not only be a big name one day, but do it completely on his own, self-made. His friends and family support him in his dreams. Not many kids do what he does. That's what makes it special. This journey of his is taken one day at a time. There is a long road of Happiness and Tough Times ahead. https://www.instagram.com/jacksonrandolph_/?hl=en https://www.tiktok.com/@jacksonfoxrandolph https://www.facebook.com/jackson.randolph.184 https://open.spotify.com/artist/4c6JvfWBuzrKduDcq51PTB https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=jackson+randolph

This episode we sit down with Chris Cunningham in his living room and get to know him and his music a little better. This episode may contain strong language, references to smoking, drugs, alcohol and sexual situations. You'll just have to listen to find out for sure. Chris was born and raised in Forney, TX.
