#007. Losing your dad when you are in your early 20's is hard, losing him very suddenly throws in even more things to come to terms with.
This is The Silent Why, a podcast on a mission to open up conversations around loss and grief and to see if hope can be found in 101 different types of loss.
Loss #7 of 101: Loss of a dad
Meet our good friend, Hannah. When we started this podcast journey and were starting to search for potential guests, sadly we didn’t have to look far for this loss, and Hannah kindly agreed to share her story with us.
Hannah is married and lives in Liverpool with her husband Jon and two cats. In 2016 her dad died very suddenly when a cerebral haemorrhage took his life as he was driving home from work. Processing this grief over the last five years has led Hannah to a new appreciation for therapy, family, her dad’s parenting, the time they had together and the blessing of even opening your eyes in the morning.
