DJ Derik Eisenreich is an award-winning Wedding DJ who has been at it for 35 years. He has done it all including starring as a Club DJ at some of the local hot spots in Sacramento (Do you remember America Live, El Dorado Saloon, InCahoots, or Stoney Inn). Derik's key to success is his amazing talent as a DJ, but moreover his care for his couples. According to Eisenreich, he remains friends with 30 percent of his couples!

In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard talks shop with Derik"The thing I love about Derik is just how kind he is. He is humble and wants to help others. I can see why couples are happy and satisfied when they hire him as their DJ."  Our conversation hits THREE areas: 

•  Segment ONE 💥 gets into the DJ career of Derik. All started at 16 years of age. He talks about becoming a DJ, his first wedding, and what events make him most nervous.
• Segment TWO 💥 talks about working as a DJ at some big concerts in the area. He discusses playing country music. We get into his transition from Club DJ to Wedding DJ and starting Riptide Mobile Entertainment in 2010. Other topics in this segment include the formula of partnership success, playing other events, mixing songs, and the ability as a DJ to read a room.
• Segment THREE 💥 starts with a BIG announcement from Derik. We talk about his San Diego roots and have a rare hockey conversation (Derik loves and plays hockey). We finish the conversation with Rapid Fire 💥 and some great parting words.

Here are my favorite HIGHLIGHTS  ...
▪️1. Listening to Derik talk about places like America Live and El Dorado Saloon. I didn't frequent these establishments, but certainly remember them very well from my days growing up in Sacramento.
▪️2. Derik's experience with Jason Aldean. It's like having a Shohei Ohtani rookie card. Derik was the first to bring country superstar Aldean to Sacramento back in the early 2000's. That's pretty cool!
▪️3. Hands down ... Derik is just a GREAT guy! Someone you are happy to be friends with. You can tell he is in a good place in his life at 51, engaged to get married, and continuing to rock weddings in the greater Northern California region.

Our Connection |  Derik and I met each other at an event for Angels for Hearts a few years ago at Jesuit High School. We struck up a conversation and from there our friendship began. Derik is a friend and mentor of mine. Derik is part of my partnership with some amazing local wedding DJ's (including last week's guest Joe Kalamaras (#42) and Mike Regan).
