ERIC + EMILY HAYS are the owners of Chateau Davell Winery in El Dorado County. So how does this couple set themselves apart from the over 1700 wineries that exist in the state of California? Small batch sustainable wines made with LOVE. Couldn't have said it any better. The Hays are considered the "GREENEST WINERY AROUND." The winery is 100 percent sustainable. And that's just the start of what makes Chateau Davell Winery a gem in the winery business.

In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard enjoys some time with Eric and Emily as they discuss the world of wine. "I certainly like to drink wine. But this conversation was a true education on the subject surrounding their journey into owning their own winery." Our conversation hits THREE areas:

SEGMENT 1 🍷 takes a look at the story of Eric + Emily Hays. They share their journey of what they were doing before Chateau Davell Winery and what got them to making their 12.5-acre estate their livelihood. We get a glimpse into the LOVE STORY and what makes Chateau Davell Winery a family-friendly destination for wine lovers.
SEGMENT 2 🍷 explores sustainability and what goes behind the process of making wine in its purest form. It's pretty exciting to listen to and quite possibly could be the blue print for future wineries trying to follow in their footsteps.
SEGMENT 3 🍷 has me asking those curious wine questions. What is the wine-making process? What if I wanted to start a winery (as Eric + Emily laugh)? Amongst other questions.

Our Connection | I had the honor of being the DJ for a wedding that was being held at Chateau Davell Winery. As I was setting up, I slowly was able to meet the entire family from Eric + Emily, their kids, and Eric's parents that included his mom Davell (whom the winery is named after). On my way to the bathroom, I saw some articles on Eric and the winery and it said he was from Sacramento. Boom 💥 ... I knew he and Emily had to be my next guest! So glad it worked out.
