What was Rome really like at the time of Christ? It was a culture of death—where women were silenced, babies were discarded, and power ruled without mercy. Then came Christianity, flipping the empire upside down. Through brutal martyrdom, early Christians introduced a moral revolution that shattered pagan values and sparked the very idea of human dignity. They didn’t just preach love—they freed slaves and redefined civilization. The wild part? The Roman world looks a lot like ours today. This episode will fire you up with the bold, countercultural spirit of early Christianity—and show you how to fight back against the modern cult of dehumanization.Check out Part 1 of Series: https://youtu.be/HRhusNq7LtkNEW: Join our exclusive Rose Report community! https://lilaroseshow.supercast.com - We'll have BTS footage, ad-free episodes, monthly AMA, and early access to our upcoming guests.A big thanks to our partner, EWTN, the world’s leading Catholic network! My guest today is Keith Nester, a former pastor who spent over 20 years in ministry—until one verse changed everything. When he heard Jesus say in Matthew 26:26, “This is my body,” he knew it wasn’t symbolic. Embracing that truth meant losing his ministry, his income, and nearly his marriage. He resisted at first, but as liberalism overtook his denomination, he realized only Church tradition could stand firm. Today, Keith helps others find their way home. His mission: unite Christians in truth and reignite a deep love for scripture and Christ’s teachings. He’s living proof that following truth is worth everything. Does the soul survive death—or is consciousness just brain chemistry? In this mind-bending episode, Father Spitzer takes us into the eerie world where science meets the supernatural. He shares real cases that defy everything we thought we knew: patients speaking with no brain activity, a man living a normal life with almost no brain, and a 4-year-old recounting his sister’s miscarriage—before he was even born. Even unborn babies might experience consciousness. If the brain isn’t the source of consciousness, science may be closer to proving the soul than ever before. Emily Wilson isn’t afraid to call out the real enemy. After years in women’s ministry and her own battles with shame, insecurity, and toxic relationship patterns, she’s seen the devil’s playbook up close. Inspired by C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters, Emily flips the script with a bold new book written from the perspective of a senior demon training a junior one—exposing how the enemy targets women with lies about their worth, their bodies, their relationships, and their calling. In this interview, Emily shares how to stop playing defense and start fighting back—offering powerful, practical ways to trade stress for surrender and silence the voice that says, you’re not enough. What’s it like to be an Orthodox Christian in Syria? Father Josiah Trenham shares powerful stories of faith under fire. Over 12 years ago, Sunni jihadists kidnapped the Archbishop. Today’s Archbishop faces no less danger. When the leader of ISIS passed through Aleppo, he sent a chilling message: "I'll have your head." The Archbishop’s bold reply? "Come and take it—I’m not leaving my people." The courage of Syrian Christians under persecution is both inspiring and convicting—a sharp contrast to the religious freedom we often take for granted. The toxic version of femininity is self-absorbed and detached from reason, flaunting her sexuality online and encouraging her children toward gender confusion. In response to these extremes, society has overcorrected—suppressing true masculinity and femininity instead of restoring their rightful place. Today, my guest and I delve into the beauty of men and women as they were originally designed, celebrating their distinct gifts and the way they harmonize within the family through a healthy model of headship. Erika Bachiochi, a pro-life legal scholar, expert in Christian social teaching and sexual ethics, and author of the groundbreaking Wall Street Journal article "John Paul II, the Feminist Pope," joins me to discuss these crucial issues. She also shares her incredible personal journey—from a broken, liberal alcoholic to a joyful, traditional mother of seven. The trad-wife trend tells us that a happy, well-run family relies on dad working outside the home while mom stays home with the kids and does all the housework. But is that actually how things have always been? Spoiler alert: Not really! Proverbs 31 shows that economic contribution has always been a part of a wife’s role—she wasn’t just sweeping the floor and baking bread. Fast forward to today, and many families can’t survive on just one income. So, what’s a modern mom to do? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! I’ll share tips on how moms can be fully present for their kiddos while also contributing financially. Believe it or not, there are careers out there that actually work for moms with toddlers hanging off their legs. The debate over whether it’s better to work or stay home has never been shaken up quite like this! Join us for a lively, honest discussion. With President Trump’s latest executive order cracking down on illegal immigration, many Christians are asking: What would Jesus do? Where do we draw the line between compassion and protecting our nation and families? Today, I sit down with Fr. Ambrose Criste, a Norbertine priest and theologian, to break down the Catholic perspective on this heated issue. We explore the U.S. Bishops’ response, Pope Francis’ stance, and J.D. Vance’s strong critique of the Bishops. This is a conversation you don’t want to miss—because the answer isn’t as black and white as some would have you believe. Let’s talk about it. Are we on the brink of a dystopian future? Dr. Aaron Kheriaty—author, bioethicist, and former professor—was fired for refusing the COVID vaccine. Now, he's exposing the dark side of modern science. In this eye-opening episode of The Lila Rose Show (E192), Dr. Kheriaty pulls back the curtain on the hidden dangers of today's scientific advancements, including the shocking connection between the vaccine and long COVID. He also warns of the disturbing rise of genetic engineering, with scientists creating human embryos with multiple parents and hybrid pig-human life forms. In this episode, Lila sits down with Fr. Luke Mata to explore the spiritual principles of Opus Dei, which translates to "The Work of God." Unlike many religious groups which encourage people to leave society in order to become sanctified, Opus Dei Founder St. Josemaria Escriva taught that one can become holy through the business of everyday life, not in spite of it. Fr. Luke also shares how his deep faith—and his mother’s example of holiness in the midst of suffering—shaped his spiritual journey, guiding him to a vocation in the priesthood where he would ultimately serve as Vicar of Opus Dei for the West. Fr. Luke has a PhD in Moral Philosophy and served in two papal synods. He also is a former Vicar of Opus Dei for the West. Join me for an inspiring conversation with author and theologian Dr. Scott Hahn as he shares his remarkable journey from a rebellious teenager to a devoted follower of Jesus. Dr. Hahn recounts his transformative discovery of the Catholic Church through scripture and the writings of the Church Fathers—an experience that challenged his biases, strained friendships, and even tested his marriage. At the heart of this discussion is a profound exploration of the Eucharist, the central focus of the Mass, and its rich foreshadowing in biblical references to the sacrifice of the lamb. What advice does Thomas Aquinas have for the modern person, especially the modern parent? You might be surprised by the answer! In today’s episode, Fr. Gregory Pine introduces us to an ancient practice that has shaped society for centuries: virtue ethics. First explored by classical philosophers like Aristotle and later popularized in the Middle Ages by St. Thomas Aquinas, virtue ethics remains central to the Church’s teachings on character formation. Father Pine, drawing from his deep knowledge of St. Thomas Aquinas, offers practical guidance for parents seeking to cultivate virtues like justice, prudence, temperance, and fortitude in their children. Raising children to be happy and holy adults can feel daunting, but this episode is essential for empowering parents to nurture future saints. Additionally, Father Pine shares his personal journey—how he discovered his vocation and developed a passion for St. Thomas Aquinas’ teachings. I hope this conversation inspires and equips you to approach parenting with a renewed perspective and practical tools.

Exorcism interviews have recently exploded in popularity, racking up millions of views on YouTube and social media. But is this focus on demons and their influence on humans a healthy exploration—or could it be playing into Satan's plans, granting him undue attention and power while paralyzing us with fear and superstition? Today, I'm joined by Dr. Sean Tobin, a psychologist trusted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to evaluate whether individuals should be referred to an exorcist. With years of experience working with those facing demonic oppression and possession, Dr. Tobin shares fresh perspectives on what God might be accomplishing in these situations and offers little-known approaches for dealing with stubborn cases. He also addresses a troubling trend: fear and powerlessness among Christians—something completely contrary to God’s design. Dr. Tobin reminds us of the need to reject both fear and demonic forces, reclaiming the Spirit of power, love, and self-control that God has given us (2 Timothy 1:7). His insights are sure to inspire and empower you in the spiritual battles we face. In today’s Christmas episode, I sit down with the brilliant Fr. Robert Spitzer—renowned theologian and philosopher—to reflect on the mystery of Christmas and the profound lessons we can draw from suffering and humility. Fr. Spitzer also shares how his blindness has deepened his faith, transforming a challenge into a blessing. The story of salvation begins with a baby—helpless, vulnerable, and entirely dependent. Jesus entered our messy, broken world not in grandeur but in a humble manger. His Incarnation calls us to embrace childlike trust and humility, showing us that strength is perfected in weakness.Join us as we explore why Christ might have chosen such a humble beginning, how suffering can deepen our spiritual lives, and how the Incarnation changes everything.Check out Fr Spitzer's work: https://www.magiscenter.com/A big thank to our partner, EWTN, the world’s leading Catholic network! How did Gen Z women vote in the recent election? Are we witnessing a shift toward conservative values among young people? On today’s podcast, I’m joined by Isabel Brown ( @theisabelbrown ) —author, cultural commentator, and advocate for free-thinking youth. Together, we explore why the liberal narrative framing abortion as empowering failed to resonate as expected this election cycle. We also discuss the millions spent on woke celebrity endorsements that missed the mark, signaling that young people are beginning to reject the mainstream culture’s hollow propaganda. Join Isabel and me as we examine the cultural shift and reflect on the setbacks faced by leftism's poisonous ideologies. While there's still much work to do, this election dealt a blow to "woke" culture—something worth celebrating. Looking ahead, we dive into the next phase of the movement: reshaping the conversation and building a culture where abortion becomes unthinkable. Don’t miss this vital discussion! Are women oppressed in the West, particularly the United States? Is the new presidency going to take away basic human rights from women? Is the new 4B movement based on correct principles? Today I talk about the real plague that is causing so many women to suffer - the lost feminine identity and poor relationships with others. While I support one tenant of the 4B movement (no sex to men you’re not married to!), the overall sentiment is cynical and flawed. I am responding to Kamala Harris' pro-abortion lies from her speech in Atlanta minutes ago where she exploits the tragic death of Amber Thurman to push a pro-abortion agenda. I’ll reveal the facts behind Amber’s situation, the real cause of her tragic death, the death of her twins, and how their deaths are being manipulated to misinform the public and win votes.
