We talk stories and behind the scenes of individual songs like Frontin from On or Off Tap, Toowong from The Authentic LP, Freedom Fighters off the Rock Da City compilation, Lyrical Luncheon and Cut Throats from 2004’s Obesecity. Between it all we talk friends, family, the importance of Rics Cafe, Len’s time spent working for Rockinghorse Records, as well as the egos and dynamic of being in a crew like the 750 Rebels. There is too much in this episode, we even get the origins of Len’s synonymous line, “done like a dinner right..” and it’s near catchphrase status today. Welcome back to Beers, Beats & The Biz for 2019 and we hope you enjoy, A Table for Two featuring Len One. https://www.patreon.com/BeersBeatsTheBiz Brought To You By The Beers Beats & The Biz Team Jake Biz Travis Broi Insideus

We are more than honoured to be joined by the good brothers, K-Double for the twelfth episode of Beers, Beats & The Biz. This episode is a classic, packed with more stories, substance and insight than possibly any interview prior. Culprit the Captain and Dontez the Chief kick things off by breaking down their grind, coming up in the Brisbane scene and defining the sound they have become nationally known for. We get into everything from skateboarding, rhyme patterns and early studio sessions beyond the 4-3 Double and we continue through the rise of one of Australia’s finest duos. We talk all things Unkut, from working on Trem’s For The Term Of His Natural Life, filming Animal Kingdom and The Value of Adaptation, designing and defining logos and sound, all the way up to Corrupted Citizens and beyond. In between it all we talk Prowls, 750 Rebels, Lyrical Commission, Class A Records, Red Tape Renegades, Tornts, tour stories, studio stories, Westline slang and hanging out together on too many occasions. This is an episode for the history books, there isn’t much we don’t speak on, from Trails to the Underlair through The Campaign and up to Corrupted Citizens, we even get a sneaky heads-up on Culprit’s solo project. It doesn’t get much better than this, Kings Konekted are one of the greatest groups in the country and their humility, approach and insight has never been captured quite like this. We can’t thank the boys enough, tell a friend to tell another friend about Kings Konekted and Beers, Beats & The Biz. Brought To You By The Beers Beats & The Biz Team Jake Biz Travis Broi Insideus

Episode 11. His Way featuring Fraksha It was an honour to be joined on the eleventh episode of Beers, Beats & The Biz by one of the UK’s finest exports, Fraksha. Fraksha breaks down his involvement in music and pirate radio in London, making the move to Oz with Scotty Hinds and pioneering the grime scene in Melbourne, alongside Scotty, Diem and Murky, as the Smash Brothers. Beyond that we talk Nine High, Broken Tooth Entertainment, navigating visa issues, Ralph Lauren, grime MC’s we should listen to and we also talk about the work Fraks and Scotty have been doing providing for the homeless around Melbourne. We were honoured to have Melbourne City’s own, Bias B join us for the eighth epic episode of Beers, Beats & The Biz. Bias joined us via Skype from his home in Melbourne and proceeded to breakdown and give insight into a career that has spanned decades and created history. From his early days as a writer with WCA and the influence of crews like All City and Da Mad Artists on to cohosting The Formula and the impact and legacy of the show, which produced a cassette of classic freestyles. We were stoked to be joined by our man Gaz Hazard for the seventh episode of Beers, Beats & The Biz. Gaz has been involved in hip hop in this country for over a decade, rough around the edges but with a heart of gold, Gaz takes us on a trek through some crazy times and even better rhymes. Gaz maintains old school sensibilities and an assertive approach to not just rap music, but also life. He talks about the criminal he once was vs the man he is today, and how family and being a dad solidified that. From 90’s Sunnybank to a drug house in Logan and on to jail, Gaz has lead a life not many are still around to talk about. But beyond that talk, we talk music. His days with CRS, who’s albums have gained a cult like status in the years since their release, on to his association with HG and all the way through to his current record released on Brisbane’s Karsniogenics, Welcome to Gullywood. Gaz gives his all and even rattles off a few names he thinks are out here poppin, press play and get a dose of reality from a dude who lived it. Rocking Wrecked Reebok’s and Really Rare Ralph with Lil J’s Vintage The way we dress is an extension of our individual creativity and in this weeks episode we are excited to sit down and talk that talk with Jacquie Cowan of Lil J’s Vintage. The impact Ken Oath had on Hip Hop nationally can never be overstated or underestimated, the man should be given icon status. A larger than life MC that did it all, drank it all and then kept it moving, becoming a sought after and highly regarded tattooist over the last decade. We talk all that shit, from being a member of Writers Anon and recording with Lazy Grey to his scene stealing appearances on The Authentic, Culture of Kings, Banned In Queensland, On or Off Tap and Reography. Beyond all that we talk tattooing, 750’s origins and Oath’s role within the crew, we get Oath’s thoughts on Have a Beer (which he co-wrote and coproduced) and even share a hilarious story about keeping DJ Debris from the Hilltop Hoods awake way back in the day. Ken Kong did it harder and better than most and lived to share his story with us, this is a great episode: Call him Mister Ken Oath! We don’t get the perspective of writers too often, particularly writers that have been active in that life for close to three decades, so we sat down with Reals, Big Odz and Dizne to get some insight and perspective from a few Crush City’s own. Beyond Crush City, these individuals have transcended graffiti by impacting hip hop culture as a whole. Reals is a member of the Ironlak writer team and also one quarter of former hip hop crew, Writers Anon. Big Odz (Odie) is co-owner of Crush City and possibly the most referenced graffiti artist in Australian hip hop history. While B-Line killer Dizne has elevated letter styles and creativity into a focus on design and more commercial art.. All while still buying rap records and painting track-sides. Beyond that we talk classic whole cars, classic music and classic delinquency. We talk Reals painting for Golden Era and gracing magazine covers, we talk Odie’s short lived rap career - that saw him record demos with some of Australia’s finest. We talk with Diz about reaching the top of a train and get some insight from all the three on what it is to sell spray paint in an era of safe and sanitised “street art”. There’s a lot in this episode so we hope you enjoy it. Press play and soak up some knowledge from a few of the country’s finest. Helen Earth is a young mum on the rise in hip hop in Australia. A Perth native who now calls Brisbane home, Helen seethes lyrics with conviction and an intent like we’ve never heard. She stopped by to chat about her come-up over the past couple years, releasing music in the digital age and her contempt towards the concept of “chick rap”. Amongst all that we talk beats, travel, Roxanne Shante and dick pics.. Press play and get to know Helen Earth, an articulate and intelligent MC you need to hear. If you have never heard Bigfoot you need to do something about that immediately. The man has been active since the 90’s, systematically decimating mic’s and stages across the land. We sat down with the “sick ranga” and got deep into the music, discussing everything from his Formula Tape appearance and love of Michael Jackson to his set stealing guest spots on classic tracks like Move on the Pavement. Biggie has a massive history in the game and his production skills are widely overlooked, he talks all that and then some. Press Play.
