Jasmine Woolley is employed as a Business Analyst at IBM. She is currently completing a Master of National Security Policy studies at the Australian National University. She has interned with the Counterterrorism Group as a Counterrorism Analyst and OSINT Liaison Officer for the SOUTHCOM region. She has spoken on the Threat Intelligence Podcast regarding security concerns in Latin America. She also interned with the Asia Pacific Research Centre for the Responsibility to Protect where she created policy recommendations for Security Sector Reform. In this season finale LP and LV chat to Jasmine, who has already achieved so much at 20 years old and is clearly on track to make a big impact on the cybersecurity industry. Jasmine shares her journey in cybersecurity so far, what it has been like to start out in the industry, the importance of building a network and her experiences as a First Nations Woman. She also shares insights on the impact of public speaking coaching program for women in cyber - Project Friedman, her experiences presenting for the first time on cybersecurity at AusCERT (a major cybersecurity conference in Australia), including how she prepared for her incredibly well received talk on 'Applying First Nations philosophy to cybersecurity strategies'. Angela Kamaru is a Cyber Security Specialist responsible for the delivery of security operations services across the organisation. This role has developed her ability to enhance cybersecurity capabilities and control the organisational environment. She is skilled in Monitoring & Detection of threats in the environment ,this is underpinned by the strong ability to work in Incident Management and support the uplift of tools and capabilities across cybersecurity. Angela has over 10 years’ experience in Information Technology, 3 years in Australia and 9 in the Kenyan banking sector. She is passionate about cybersecurity, enjoys learning new and emerging technologies on how best to protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats in real time. She contributes to the cultivation of a strong commitment to encourage young adults to pursue careers in Cyber Security and trains teenagers in her community on cyber bullying and on how to stay safe online. Angela holds a Masters of Cyber Security degree from ECU, MBA – Information Systems from University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. In addition, Angela has achieved CompTIA Security + and Microsoft Security Operation Analyst Associate certifications. Angela is outgoing and values her quality time with her family and friends. She enjoys playing basketball, dancing and engaging in outdoor activities. Tanvi Bali has been in the information security field for over a decade. She is a Senior Cyber and DevSecOps Lead who has experience working across industries including aerospace and defence, telecommunications and finance sectors. Tanvi possesses a passionate curiosity for learning new and emerging technologies and their related threats. As a security practitioner she leverages her decade of experience in IT infrastructure, software development and application security to help the business implement security measures and help them to better understand the risks and how to mitigate them, not just to demonstrate vulnerabilities. Lidia has been in the Information Security field for over 20+ years. Currently she is a Security Advisor / Architect in the financial sector and has experience in telecommunication and retail in a variety of defensive roles. She enjoys working on business initiatives, getting into the weeds and finding ways to solve complex security problems. She has an interest in Cloud Security, Security Design, Defensive Security, Vulnerability Management and Malware Defense.
