After a week off, we are back to review the latest round of Six Nations action. England snuck past Scotland with a little bit of luck to win the Calcutta Cup. France hammer Italy, while a much improved Wales gave Ireland a bit of a scare. We chat through all the games and Jim gives his views on the Twickenham experience. Meanwhile, Glos-Hartpury secured top spot with a commanding win over Quins - we look forward to the Semi this weekend at Queensholm. Gloucester Rugby announced of some new signings, with Ross Byrne taking everyone by surprise. How will that impact the other signings yet to be announced? Finally, Ed explains how exactly he and Loz nearly got recruited into a Football 'Firm'. Ed Price Jim Harley Cherry Jam is proud to be sponsored by PGT LLP

Gloucester played Hartpury in their final Premiership Cup home game and it was a bit of a stinker. A 7-7 draw with very little quality or entertainment, Jim and Ed give their very short reviews of the game and where we can find any positives. In the Six Nations, England snatched an improbable victory over a misfiring French side; Scotland once again crumbled in the face of a dominant Ireland and Wales' misery continues to a 14th straight defeat as Italy win back to back games in Rome. Gloucester regained the Slater Cup after a thrilling comeback win over Leicester at Kingsholm. It leaves the Cherry and Whites in 3rd place as the Premiership breaks for the Six Nations. We chat through the game, the key moments and the performances by so many players across the squad. Once again Santi was awarded Player of the Match by TNT and his future continues to be in doubt as there are strong rumours he may depart for Bath at the end of the season. The lads weigh up that and all the other transfer news and rumours including the confirmed re-signings before checking in on Glos-Hartpury's weekend - which couldn't have gone much better (Despite not playing). Gloucester have qualified and will face the very tricky task of a trip to Montpellier in the last 16. After Jim and Ed guide you through the 'Wish you were here' segment of this weeks' pod, they then discuss the game, the performances that stood out and why it may end up being the right decision to rest so many ahead of this weekends key clash with Leicester. Another bumper episode this week as Ed speaks with Deputy Sports Editor for City AM (and fellow Gloucester supporter) Matt Hardy about rugby, business and how clubs interact with journalists and the press. As usual, the lads also chat through the weekends results and another good result at home for Gloucester - this time over Scarlets in the Challenge Cup. We discuss the performance, where it leads the Cherry and Whites in terms of qualification for the knockouts and the improving defence. We also discuss Glos-Hartpury returning to the top of the PWR with a hard fought win over Loughborough Lightning as friend of the pod, Zoe Aldcroft, is appointed as Red Roses captain. As we return for our final pod of 2024, we unfortunately saw Gloucester fail to back up the previously good wins over Northampton and Quins, this time losing to previously winless Exeter away at Sandy Park. More of a concern is the growing injury list with confirmation that Zach Mercer, Ollie Thorley and potentially Afo Fasogbon are all out for the rest of the season. We chat through the game, the positives including another superb individual performance by Lewis Ludlow and discuss whether the injuries are going to once again limit what we can expect from the rest of the season. Gloucester won their opening pool game of this seasons Challenge Cup against Edinburgh. It was an ugly win in difficult conditions (not the most entertaining match but a good result in the end). We chat through the game as well as all the weekends action and why its becoming more of a stretch for the average supporter to catch all the games they might want to. We also discuss Glos-Hartpury's return to winning ways before we answer some of your 'Listener questions': What is our go-to pint on match day? What have been Gloucester's most challenging weather experiences? Finally, we wanted to pay tribute to a former guest of this podcast and a devout Gloucester Rugby supporter - Tom Morris. Tom was one of the driving forces of Progressive Rugby, helping bring much needed attention to the issue of concussion in the game and its impact on players health. Tom sadly passed away at the end of November after a short battle with cancer. All our thoughts go out to Tom's family and friends. RIP Tom. You will be missed. Gloucester suffered a thumping home defeat to Exeter in the Premiership Cup, with a first half performance that ranks as one of the worst in recent memory. Gloucester's young players made it two bonus point wins from two in the Premiership Cup with a win over a competitive and exciting Cornish Pirates side. Firstly an apology as we have decided to leave a lot more of the swearing in this weeks pod, but we are sure you understand why. When we started this pod back in 2020, the main aim was to chat nonsense about our favourite Rugby Club. As the years have gone on, we have managed to speak to Gloucester and England legends about their playing days; fans about their memories and plenty of frivolous and unimportant aspects of the game we all love. This special pod is different. Ed speaks to former Wales, Newport, Leeds, Llanelli and Brive player, Alix Popham who in late 2020 announced he was suffering from early onset dementia. A disease caused by the game he played professionally for 14 years. As more and more players have discovered they are in the same boat including several World Cup winners and former superstars, Ed and Alix are joined by Tom Morris, a core member of Progressive Rugby who are a non-profit lobby group aiming to secure a safer future for rugby players and ensure a healthier and sustainable game in general. Commitment to the Cherry Jam cause this week as both Jim and Loz call in from their European holidays following Gloucester's win over Leicester. We also review the Sarries debacle and have a discussion about the worst/most disappointing games we can think of. From mounting Sharks, Miracle Matches and Play off heartbreak, think of it as a free therapy session. (If you are wondering where Snowy is this week - he fell asleep!) We knew it wouldn't last. Gloucester lose to Bristol in the first game back at an empty Kingsholm, but we all find positives in the defeat. We give our opinions on the new Gloucester shirt, the redundancy of JP Doyle as well as a chat and predictions for the week ahead - Saracens (Away) and Leicester (Home). A big welcome to any new listeners. Please do subscribe keep sending in your observations and comments via twitter - @jam_rugby. After a very long time, Premiership Rugby Union has returned and Gloucester won. All is right again in the Universe (well, obviously not - but it's a good start). We discuss the victory over 14 man Worcester, while also reviewing the other weekend results and some of the other stories that emerged from rugby's return. Ahead of our first game of the restart, I speak to a Gloucester supporter who has spent 20 years watching from afar. Westy is well known to those on Shedweb and to those who have been on many of the European away days. Ed Price Peter Western (Westy)

A jam packed episode this week as we discuss the confirmed fixtures, dates and times - including some creative ways to avoid work for the early kick offs; Gloucester Rugby confirmed the three options for season ticket holders should they wish to claim a refund (or not as the case maybe). Plus the return of Charlie Beckett, Neil Fissler investigates alleged Salary cap misdemeanours and we do our best not to get sued. Plus a discussion about our favourite Gloucester Rugby try. Due to a distinct lack of actual news from Gloucester Rugby this week (save from the surprise announcement mid recording of Franco Marais accepting a short term contract to remain with the club until the end of the season), we discuss the decision by Exeter Chiefs to retain the name and branding but to wave goodbye to Big Chief (their mascot). We also chat about the revised plans for ringfencing the Premiership and Championship plus a generic waffle about how easy it should be to watch the remainder of the season on the TV. We are back once again with another pod. This week we discuss the completion of the all new Gloucester coaching set-up following the announcement that Dom Waldouck has joined as defence coach, plus the sad news that Josh Hohneck is leaving. In addition we discuss the pros and cons of the return of the Six Nations (this bit is a little sweary and ranty, so be warned!) before finally chatting about how renaming Kingsholm would be a decent way of getting some cash in the door. Remember to click subscribe on your favoured podcast channel and don't forget to send any feedback or suggestions to @jam_rugby on twitter. Ed Price Lawrence Landray (Loz) Jim Harley Russ Brookes

We're back once again with another episode of Cherry Jam. This week we discuss the new signings of Matt Garvey, Lugovi'i Mulipola and Matias Alemanno, plus the announcement of new deals for Trevor Woodman and Tim Taylor. Probably the best news, Alex King has joined as backs coach too. We also have a brief discussion around the Lions and who we think are nailed on for the squad and our hopes for the future of the touring side, before a chat (as suggested by listener Sarah Hayes via our twitter) about our favourite moments in rugby. Another week, another couple of high profile departures from Gloucester Rugby. We discuss Gerbrandt Grobler leaving for Stade Francais and Rory Teague leaving too. But of course the most important news (according to The Rugby Paper) was Mike Teague his memorabilia back from the club. We also have a chat about the revised fixture list and the prospect of four games of rugby in 15 days. We would love to hear some ideas about what we should discuss at the end of next weeks pod too. Please send your suggestions to our twitter handle - @jam_rugby. Ed Price James Eastwood (Snowy) Russ Brookes Jim Harley

In this weeks episode we discuss the announcement of George Skivington as Gloucester Rugby's new Head coach and the London Irish response. We also try to figure out what is going wrong at Leicester and if they are the number one candidates for relegation next season. Finally we pick our favourite non-Gloucester rugby players of all time. Welcome to another Cherry Jam podcast. This week we will discuss the recent player announcements from the club; who is leaving and who is re-signing long term deals? We also discuss the salary cap and the changes that are being made. Finally we have a brief chat about our cult heroes at Gloucester. Only four of us this week as Jim was otherwise engaged. The pod was recorded before the official announcement of George Skivington as Head Coach. Ed Price Lawrence Landray (Loz) Russ Brookes James Eastwood (Snowy)

Pilot: A group of Gloucester Rugby supporters chat about the latest developments at the club, plus wider issues in the game. This week, the departure of Johan Ackermann, David Humphries and potential a few others. Who should replace them as 'Head Coach'? Will we see changes to the structure of the season and how the Professional game in played? Plus our favourite away games (and the worst) watching Gloucester.
