Ep. 171 - The Domsten Blobs
The Domsten Blobs, AKA the Jelly Bags, has become one of the most celebrated UFO alien sighting & attempted abduction both in and outside of Sweden. On December 20, 1958, 2 friends, 30-year old Stig Rydeberg, & 24-year old Hans Gustafsson were driving on an empty road after partying in town with their girlfriends when they came upon some heavy fog. They slowed to a crawl, but around 3 AM they decided to pull over in order to relieve their bladders & stretch their legs. They noticed an odd glow that was coming from the trees about 150 feet away and decided to investigate the glow. They discovered a wide, radiant discoid object that was supported on what looked like a tripod. Suddenly, they were surrounded by weird creatures that were moving in & out of their shape, like a wave. They were small, gray & around 4 feet tall & 1 ½ feet wide. They lacked extremities & were shaped like "loaves" but moved quickly. They also were levitating above the ground & both boys could smell ether & burnt sausages, which they found very unpleasant. These creatures surged onto & into them & their arms & legs became engulfed in the creature’s bodies. With a “suction-like force” these blobs began to pull them toward the saucer & both of them lashed out at the entities trying to free themselves. Stig eventually managed to free himself & ran for their car where he began to slam his fist into the car horn in hopes someone would hear it. Immediately the creatures stopped their attack & ran for their saucer where both boys watched the UFO fly away quickly. They didn’t say anything for three days out of fear but eventually couldn’t keep it to themselves any longer. After an 11 hour long interview, the police concluded that it wasn’t a hoax. Ep. 170 - Old Washoe Club
Virginia City, NV rose as the center for silver mining with the discovery of the Comstock Lode in 1859 & became the nation’s 1st industrial city. It was a bustling city that had cultural institutions like the opera & famous residents like Mark Twain. The Washoe Club opened its doors on B Street in the Reynolds Building on June 1, 1875. It was a luxurious space filled with giant plate glass windows & bronze statuettes & was nicknamed “The Millionaire’s Club” because it was where the rich & newly rich would drink, play games, & visit with prostitutes. Less than 5 months after opening, a fire burned through downtown, destroying a good amount of Virginia City, including the Washoe Club. It didn’t take long though for the club to find a new space – the trustee board for the club settled on a 3-story building on C street that even had a saloon on the bottom floor. The local mines began to diminish, Virginia City’s population dwindled & the Washoe Club eventually closed in 1897. Because of the cities history with cave-ins, gunfights & greedy claim jumpers, it is no surprise that the Old Washoe Club is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in the West. Bar stools move on their own, the saloon doors will mysteriously swing open for ladies that are entering, & numerous shadow figures have been spotted on the upper floors. There are several spirits that are seen & felt in the Old Washoe Club & there is one spirit who has an affinity for alcohol. If you let a full shot of Bourbon linger too long at the bar, it will mysteriously be drained, & the staff will leave a full shot before leaving at night & it will be empty in the morning. Ep. 169 - The Khamar Daban Incident
On August 2, 1993, Lyudmila Korvina, who was an experienced hiking instructor, led 6 of her students on a hiking trip to the Khamar Daban mountain range in southern Siberia . The first 2 days of the hike, the group did really well, beating the time anticipated to get up the Retranslyator peak. However, when they were beginning their descent on August 4th, they were hit with a rainstorm which slowed them down. The following morning, the group set off down the mountain but after only a few minutes the first disaster struck. Sacha, who was at the back of the group, began to scream. When the group turned around, they saw that he was bleeding from his eyes & his ears as well as frothing at the mouth. It didn’t take long before every single member but one succumbed to the same symptoms. Valentina Utochenko, the only surviving member, ran for her life not fully understanding what was happening. For 4 days, she followed power lines down the mountain, until she found a river & began to follow that. In August 10th, she was found by a group of kayakers. An autopsy report concluded that they had all died of hypothermia except for Lyudmila who had suffered a heart attack. They all had signs of bruised lungs, & protein deficiency due to malnutrition was listed as a contributing factor to their deaths. The deaths were ultimately ruled to be accidental. Ep. 167 - The Real Conjuring House
The Conjuring House located at 1677 Round Top Rd, Burrillville, RI is one of the most active paranormal locations in the world, and since opening to the public in 2019, have had thousands of visitors who have witnessed the supernatural activity here. It was originally called the Old Arnold Estate and is now known as the Conjuring House because of the 2013 film, The Conjuring, which depicted the hauntings that the Perron family experienced while living there in the 1970s. Carolyn and Roger Perron, and their five daughters moved in to the home in December 1970 and the paranormal activity started immediately. It started small. A broom would be misplaced or a scraping sound would come from the kitchen when no one was in there. The girls soon began to see spirits around the house, and they claimed that for the most part, they were harmless. The family experienced rampant poltergeist activity, would smell rotting flesh & even would experience their beds rising off of the floor. They would regularly have physical injuries & it was common to hear voices around the house. The Perron family continued to live in the house for 10 years and experience continual paranormal encounters because of their financial instability but eventually decided to sell the house in 1980. The Conjuring House opened to the public in 2019 where visitors can tour the house, go on overnight investigations and can even experience camping or Ghamping, on the property. Ep. 166 - The Old Spaghetti Factory in Vancouver
The Old Spaghetti Factory in Vancouver, British Columbia is rumored to be the most haunted restaurant in the city. It opened its doors in March of 1970 in a building that has been around since the early 1900s, and is the 2nd oldest building in Vancouver. The Old Spaghetti Factory is known to have vintage décor, as well as an old trolley car, Number 53, that was placed inside around the time of its opening. There are four resident ghosts that are seen in the Old Spaghetti Factory, including the Tram Conductor, who is seen in full uniform inside the tram after hours seated at the same table, and a little boy ghost named Edward has been seen running around the restaurant. A visiting psychic confirmed that there were spirits here, and that the activity stems from the presence of historical artifacts that they are attached to in the building. Several psychics have also suggested that there is a vortex or portal that is found at the back of the restaurant that may attract these ghosts to stick around. Ep. 165 - UFO and Alien Briefing in Congress
Three former military officials have testified before a House Oversight subcommittee on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 that they believe the government knows much more about UFOs than it is telling the public, but they also focused more on improving processes for reporting UAPs and transparency on the events for the American people. Former Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves recounted an incident that happened off the coast of Virginia Beach in 2014 while flying an F-18 where they came upon & almost collided with an aircraft that was a "dark gray or black cube inside of a clear sphere". He also founded a group that supports aviators who have reported similar phenomenon & the objects that are reportedly being seen by military & commercial pilots that are performing maneuvers which are unexplainable due to our current understanding of our technology. Retired Cmdr. David Fravor talked about his encounter which was in 2004, where he & 3 others saw a white “Tac Tac”-shaped flying object emerge over the San Diego coast in California. He said, "There were no rotors, no rotor wash, or any visible flight control surfaces like wings." As they tried to get closer to the object, "it rapidly accelerated & disappeared right in front of our aircraft," leaving no detectable turbulence. Retired Major David Grusch spoke about a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval & reverse engineering program that he was exposed to during his time on a UAP task force. Grusch says that he has not personally spotted a UAP or any alien bodies, but his opinions are based on the accounts of over 40 witnesses that he interviewed while he was on the UAP task force. He also said he has interviewed individuals who have recovered "nonhuman biologics" from crashed UAPs. In a statement, Defense Department spokeswoman Sue Gough said investigators have not discovered “any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.” But Ryan Graves urged Congress and government officials to put aside stigma and address the security and safety issue that this topic represents. Ep. 164 - Did Alien Technology Crash into the Pacific Ocean?
Abraham “Avi” Loeb, dubbed the alien hunter of Harvard, is an honored Israeli-American theoretical physicist who works on astrophysics and cosmology and is a professor at Harvard. In 2018, he suggested that alien space craft may be in the Solar System and used the interstellar object Oumuamua as an example, and in July 2021, Avi founded The Galileo Project for the Systematic Scientific Search for Evidence of Extraterrestrial Technological Artifacts. In January 2014, a 500-kilogram fireball was observed by the DOD where it was recorded as traveling faster than most meteors and ended up breaking up over the South Pacific Ocean near Papua New Guinea. Avi's team set out on a research boat called the Silver Star in late June 2023 looking for possible debris , & used a magnetic sled to excavate this debris from the ocean floor where the meteor hit. They found 50 tiny metallic balls called spherules that were made mostly of iron, and each is a fraction of a millimeter in size. He concluded that these metal pieces did not originate from Earth, and did not match any samples of the element found on Earth, leading him to speculate that this piece might be from outer space. Ep. 163 - Las Vegas Alien Encounter
Just before midnight on April 30, 2023, people across several states, some even as far as California, saw a bright fireball streak through the sky. Body-cam footage from a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer caught a glimpse of this, but a Las Vegas family witnessed something much more terrifying. A father and his 2 sons were working on a vehicle in their yard when they saw the sparkly object. As it came crashing down, they were hit by what they described as a shock wave. That is when they saw a tall creature in their backyard, which appeared to be 8-10 feet tall, had large eyes, was skinny with long legs & was greyish-green in color. They were terrified by what they saw and called 911. Approximately 39 minutes after the 1st call, another resident called 911 saying that there were 2 unknown entities in his backyard after he saw an object fall from the sky. The caller described what he was seeing, detailing that they had big, shiny neon eyes & mouths & were naked. They were “100% not human.” After investigating the homes, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department decided to close the case due to no physical evidence and called it unfounded. Ep. 162 - The Tsuchinoko
The Tsuchinoko is a snake-like cryptid that is seen in the mountainous regions of Western Japan, & appears to look like your common snake, although with a central girth that is wider than its head & tail & appears to look like a hammer or mallet without a handle. It has large, plate-like scales that run down its earth-tone speckled body, & because of their color & shape, they are often said to resemble beer bottles. Despite having an awkward shape, the Tsuchinoko is very nimble. It is said that it can jump up to a meter in distance followed immediately by a 2nd jump while it is still in the air & by some estimates, can jump up to 5 meters. It is also reported to sometimes swallow its tail & roll like a wheel, which is similar to the hoop snake. According to legend, some Tsuchinoko are able to speak & are notorious liars, & are said to have a taste for alcohol or sake. Ep. 161 - The Stanley Hotel and The Shining
The Stanley Hotel, located at 333 Wonderview Avenue Estes Park, CO served as the inspiration for Stephen King’s 1977 novel The Shining and is considered to be one of the most haunted hotels in the U.S. It is a 140-room Colonial Revival hotel located about 5 miles from the Rocky Mountain National Park, and was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley, the inventor of the steam-powered car. It opened July 4, 1909 as a resort for upper class Easteners and a health resort for Tuberculosis sufferers. The Stanley Hotel has had a rather peaceful history, but in the years following the publication of The Shining, it has gained a reputation as a setting for paranormal activity. Freelance Stanley is said to wander the halls of the hotel and his wife, Flora has been seen and heard in the ballroom at the piano playing away. The fourth floor is said to be one of the most haunted areas in the hotel as well as room 217 where guests find that the room has been straightened up, their clothing folded or put away, or their suitcases organized. It is about a family that heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where a sinister presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from both past and future. Ep. 160 - Norwegian Trolls
Not sure of the exact beginnings, but stories of Norwegian Trolls can be found in the first written sources, the sagas, from the Middle Ages, but they were in oral traditions and people’s imaginations long before that time. The term “troll” actually comes from the Proto-Germanic word “Trullan” which translates to mean fiend, demon, or giant. So some were described as giants, terrorizing entire villages, and others were considered to be small, evil tricksters. In general, most trolls were considered to be cruel, violent, unattractive creatures, with huge noses, big teeth, and grotesque features and were thought to be quite stupid and easily tricked. While, there is no single agreement as to what trolls may have looked like, most Norwegians agree that there are basically 2 types of trolls, the Trogre and the Troblins. The trolls of the mountains or forest, the Tragre, are generally depicted as large, dumb, and brute-ish and are said to use connections with nature to uproot trees to use as weapons, or to cause ecological disasters such as hurricanes and avalanches. The trolls of the caves, the Troblins, live completely underground & are generally depicted as smaller, with a large round stomach and short, stubby arms and legs. They tend to use their connections with nature to baffle or deceive humans. On the second half, we reviewed the 2022 film Troll, directed by Roar Uthaug. It is about a troll that is released after being trapped for a 1000 years and destroys everything in its path while it approaches the capital of Norway. Ep. 159 - Norwegian Werewolves
In Norwegian folklore, the werewolf or “varulv” is a type of shapeshifter or “hamløper”. Another type of shapeshifter is the “mannbjørn”, or man bear. It was once believed that certain people could transform into a wolf or a bear, but it was usually because this ability was due to a curse given to them by Trollmen. Norwegian werewolves don't have the same characteristics as werewolves of literature or movies, in that they don't need the moon to change, in order to change they put a wolfskin on, and silver isn’t a deterrent. The Norse sagas though have had a big influence on werewolf folklore in Norway, especially with stories of people who can turn into something else. Of course, this is more of a magical power versus a curse placed on them. Vikings were very obsessed with wolves, as well as, people who could become them and even had them as symbols representing their society. Some Viking warriors would growl and howl in battle and even attack each other in their frenzy and would wear furs of wolves or bears. On the second half, we reviewed the 2022 film Viking Wolf, directed by Stig Svendson. It is about a teenager who witnesses a grotesque murder at a party in her new town, and after hiding a small wound she received during the attack, begins having strange visions and bizarre desires. Ep. 158 - The Scoutmaster VS UFOs
On a hot, humid night in August 1952, scoutmaster D.S. “Sonny” DesVergers witnessed some lights from his vehicle, and decided to investigate, leaving the three Boy Scouts he was transporting in the car. After hacking away at the brush for about 4 minutes, Sonny arrived at a clearing in a grove and immediately was overcome with an awful, nauseating smell, the feeling as though someone or something was watching him, and an intense heat coming from above him. That was when he realized that he was standing underneath a hovering object. He was terrified, and slowly started backing up when he heard a noise like a metal door opening. A bright red light came from the side of the object and slowly moved towards him completely surrounding him, before he passed out. When he woke up, he couldn’t see because his eyes were burned, and when he eventually emerged from the brush he was incoherent, claiming that he had come into contact with a UFO that had attacked him. This incident is one of Project Blue Book’s most interesting cases and is still unsolved, where some believe it may be the best hoax in UFO history. On the second half, we reviewed the 2014 movie Extraterrestrial, written, produced and edited by the Vicious Brothers. It is about a group of friends on a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods that find themselves terrorized by alien visitors. Ep. 157 - The Minerva Monster
Back in 1978, there were multiple reports of a tall, hairy, 300-pound creature that was seen in a heavily wooded area about 2 miles from Minerva, OH over a period of a few weeks. One hot summer night in August of 1978, the Cayton family was sitting at the kitchen table when they heard a noise in the back yard & their dog started barking. They glanced out the window & that was when they saw something near the woods - a 6-foot-tall hairy creature! A few nights later they saw it again, but this time it was seen peering into their kitchen from the window! What they saw was a 300 hairy creature with black & brown matted hair on its head & body. It was seen several times by them as well as by other members of the community in the area, either near a strip mine, crossing a road, or even sitting on a chicken coop. It was even seen protecting two smaller creatures in one run in. Once the news began reporting the encounters, the Dayton family’s home became an ground zero for Bigfoot enthusiasts & hunters. It got so bad, the family had to put up a fence to keep onlookers out. The family received a lot of backlash, & taunting from the rest of the town, & it was believed that they were just pulling a hoax for publicity. Ep. 156 - The Cursed Town of Dudleytown, CT
Dudleytown, an abandoned settlement located in the Dark Entry Forest near Cornwall, CT, is a small village that most people avoid because it is thought to be a cursed location due to its dark history. Even with the name, it was never really an actual town. The name was given to this area of Cornwall because several members of the Dudley family lived there in the 1740s. Settlers began to trickle into the area & the community grew even larger after iron ore was discovered nearby, but it was repeatedly plagued by murder, suicide, madness/insanity, disappearances & failed business. Dudleytown has been abandoned since the early 1900s & cannot be visited because it is part of a land trust. Even though it is forbidden to enter, people have still made their way in to explore and experience the paranormal here. People have felt an overwhelming feeling of dread, terror or fear here or been overwhelmed with sadness. Mysterious lights & orbs have been seen & some have been touched, pushed & scratched by unseen hands. There have also been sightings of strange creatures that would come out of the woods at night. Ep. 155 - The Pocomoke Forest
The Pocomoke Forest, located in the Chesapeake Bay region, is an 18,000-acre woodland that has many hiking trails, a camping area, hunting accessibility, and is considered to be Maryland's most haunted forest. There are stories of haunted churches, spirits with tragic origins, and various unexplained phenomena. There are many stories and Urban Legends told about this forest including a six-fingered ghost who leaves his handprint on car windows, a spirit and his cat seen in Furnace Town, and a goat man who haunts the area. Ep. 154 - Shaman's Portal
Beaver Dunes Park in Oklahoma’s panhandle is 300+ acres of dunes & sand where visitors can enjoy dune buggy riding, hiking trails, & several campgrounds. It is also known as Oklahoma's Bermuda Triangle as well as the Shaman's Portal due to its mysterious & tragic history. T he mysterious & paranormal history of this area can be dated back to the 1500's when the Spanish conquistador Francisco Vazquez de Coronado was in the area searching for the elusive Lost City of Gold. Native Americans tried to warn Coronado of the danger of the dunes, which they called the “Shaman’s Portal” but he, of course, ignored their warnings. While exploring the area, three of his men disappeared instantly into flashes of blinding green light, & ever since then, there have been accounts of other people who have simply disappeared. What could be causing these disappearances or flashes of light? It has been speculated that perhaps it is because it may be the location of a UFO crash from an unknown time & the dunes hide the wreckage. There are reports from visitors camping in the park where they have seen mysterious military-looking people digging at the dunes in the middle of the night. Strange anomalies in geographical samples in the area have included ionized soil and electromagnetic phenomenon that was scientifically unexplainable. Some of the theories out there conjecture that there is a possible cave system beneath the dunes that leads to a portal or doorway to another/alternate dimension. Ep. 153 - The Yahoo, West Virginia's Bigfoot
In this episode, we dive into the legend of the Yahoo Bigfoot, a creature said to inhabit the forests of West Virginia and Kentucky. This black-haired Bigfoot is said to be 8 feet tall, with some reports claiming that it can even reach 10 feet in height. It is believed to be highly intelligent and will often work jointly in small groups, but can also be very hostile, with some hunters reporting that small trees have been thrown at them. One of the most famous encounters with the Yahoo Bigfoot was that of the frontiersman Daniel Boone, where he killed a Yahoo while protecting his son. Ep. 149 - The Bonnacon
The Bonnacon, also known as the bonasus or bonacho, is a legendary bull creature from medieval times & even earlier with a unique & smelly defense mechanism, that has earned it as being the laughing stock of medieval bestiary. It has inward-curving horns, a mane that looks similar to a horse's, and reddish-brown or black fur. Because its horns are inward facing & basically useless for self-defense from hunters, the Bonnacon would expel large amounts of burning or corrosive poop from its anus at its pursuers, burning them & thereby ensuring its escape. The first description of the Bonnacon comes from Pliny the Elder's Natural History published in AD 77, & because of Natural History’s popularity, the Bonnacon was included in a multitude of medieval bestiaries. There is no hard evidence of the existence of the Bonnacon, but it may actually be a creature based on a real animal. The name bonnacon is derived from the Greek word “bonasos” which means bison, & it is suggested that maybe it was a species of bison. The Deer Man is a half-human/half-deer creature that has been reported all over the country & even in Canada. It has been described differently sometimes depending on the location, but generally it has the antlered head of a deer, a human’s torso, its legs are either those of a man or a deer, and is said to be well muscled and surprisingly fast for its size. Some accounts say it reeks like a rotting corpse, it makes an ear-piercing scream, and that it has the power to transform itself from just a regular deer into a half-deer/half-human creature Is it an undiscovered species or a misidentified deer? Ep. 146 - Peggy the Doll
Peggy the Doll is a 3-foot-tall doll that has a blonde hair bob with glassy blue eyes and is considered to be the most haunted and dangerous doll in the world. After being purchased at a car boot sale, the owner began having nightmares and felt as though she was being haunted by the doll. She contacted Jayne Harris, a paranormal and haunted doll investigator, and eventually sent the doll to her. Jayne and her team of psychics began working with the doll, running experiments or having paranormal sessions with it and began posting photos and videos of the doll online. That is when she began receiving comments from people who had seen the video and immediately after viewing it began to have chest pain, nausea and/or crippling headaches. Jayne has come to the conclusion that the doll is possessed by the spirit of a woman who was born in 1946, died of a chest-related condition like asthma, and may have ties to the Holocaust. Peggy the Doll is now in Zak Bagans' possession where he has her in his Haunted Museum in her own room, in a dollhouse with a glass enclosure and cameras on her 24/7. There is also a spirit box sitting near her where she sometimes communicates with those who dare to come see her. Ep. 145 - The Houston Batman
The Houston Batman, also known as the Houston Horror, was a very tall man-like creature with bat wings that was seen for the first time in the yard of Hilda Walker in Houston, TX. On a very hot, peaceful night, Hilda Walker, Judy Meyer, & Howard Phillips, all neighbors, were sitting on Hilda's front porch around 2:30 am on June 18, 1953, when Hilda noticed a large shadow move across her lawn. The shadow then jumped up into a pecan tree & all three could see that the shadow appeared to be a very tall man-like figure standing around 6 ½ feet tall with bat-like wings on its back, wearing a black, tight-fitting outfit, & surrounded by a glowing yellow haze. The figure lingered for about 30 seconds before the light began to fade out & the figure vanished. Even though this encounter only lasted a few seconds, there have been other reports of a flying batman or birdman in the area throughout the decades. Ep. 144 - The Devil's Rocking Chair
The Devil’s Rocking Chair appears to be a seemingly normal looking rocking chair that belonged to the Glatzel family, but it has been known to cause many paranormal and unexplained things to happen to those unfortunate to sit in it or even be in its vicinity. In the summer of 1980, eleven-year-old David Glatzel began to have nightmares of a ghostly figure that looked like a man with black eyes, pointed ears, horns and hooves, and he had a thin gaunt face with spiky teeth. The nightmares progressed to waking up with bruises and scratches and eventually speaking in an unknown language. The family had no choice but to bring in priests and Ed and Lorraine Warren to perform several exorcisms on the boy, many while he was sitting in the rocking chair, to free him from the Devil's grasp. The family held onto the chair for many years after these strange events even though anyone who sat in the chair would suffer such excruciating back or sciatica problems that it would send them to hospital, some requiring surgery. In April 2019, Zak Bagans purchased the chair from David's brother and placed it in his Haunted Museum. People soon began breaking into uncontrollable sobbing in view of the chair and one person collapsed near the chair on the stairs. It is believed that the chair is also responsible for doors closing on their own and light turning on and off. Ep. 143 - The Mill Race Monster
The Mill Race Monster is a bipedal, 6-7 foot tall creature seen in the 83-acre Mill Race Park in Columbus, Indiana in 1974 which launched the largest monster hunt in US history. On November 1, 1974, four young women spotted the monster in the park and fled without any interaction with it, but several hours later, two girls were attacked while in their car. The one witness, Tyra Cataline, described it as having a greenish tinge to it with moss and slime on its face, and with large fangs. It attacked their car, biting and beating on the windshield trying to get into it before they were able to speed off. The police laughed off the incident until they inspected their car and found it with having damage as well as the horrific stench coming from it. In the next few days, a few more encounters with the Mill Race Monster occurred, with one of the witnesses suggesting that because there had been UFOs and strange lights seen over the area, that the Mill Race Monster might have been of alien origin. Ep. 142 - Lake Ontario
Lake Ontario is one of the 5 Great Lakes of North America and is the 13th largest lake in the world. Lake Ontario is known for many things, including the Niagara Falls, but it is also known to have paranormal mysteries, its own Vortex/Triangle, as well as a supposed underwater alien base! A small stretch of water off of Prince Edward County on the Eastern part of Lake Ontario is called the Marysburgh Vortex or the Graveyard of Lake Ontario. There have been a multitude of shipwrecks, airplane mishaps, strange sightings, and mysterious disappearances which leads this area to be called a vortex. The Marysburgh Vortex is the most dangerous part of the lake where compasses have been known to malfunction and rapid weather changes can occur here. Although, the consensus is that there is a large iron deposit in the middle of the lakebed which causes the malfunctions, there are some that believe that the magnetic anomaly can be attributed to a major crossing of ley lines. There is also a ton of UFO sightings over the lake with people seeing unidentifiable objects or lights diving into & out of the lake. The Tuttle Bottoms Monster inhabits a swampy area north of Harrisburg, Illinois in the Saline River watershed and has been haunting this area for generations. It is a gigantic ape-like, hairy creature with glowing eyes and a long snout similar to an anteater. The first report of the Tuttle Bottoms Monster occurred on August 6, 1963 when the Saline County Sheriff encountered multiple youths with guns who were searching for it in the Bottoms. Ep. 140 - The Aswang
The name Aswang is applied to various shape-shifting evil creatures in the Filipino mythologies and culture. It is one of the most feared creatures in the Philippines, and depending on what region you are in, it could be a vampire, or a ghoul, or a witch, or a werebeast. Because the definitions and stories of the Aswang vary so much, there is no specific set of characteristics. But, there is one common concern for the Aswang: they are shape-shifters. They are the most powerful during the night, and although they are usually described to be secluded, they have been known to adapt in communities through marriage. They are known to turn into a human with long dark hair during the day, and can be fast and silent, unless they want to trick you into thinking they are farther away and will then be loud. You can use holy objects, salt, vinegar, or coat yourself in urine in order to protect yourself against the Aswang. You can also use a bolo knife on the witch Aswang by stabbing it in the back. Ep. 139 - Point Lookout Lighthouse
The Point Lookout Lighthouse, located in Scotland, MD, sits at the entrance of the Potomac River at the southernmost tip of the Chesapeake Bay and is said to be the most haunted lighthouse in the United States. On May 3, 1825, it was decided that a light was needed at the entrance to the Potomac River in order to warn ships about the shoals and to prevent shipwrecks from continuing to happen at the entrance to the river. After five years of delays, it was first lit on September 20, 1830, and ran without too many issues through the years. Things changed for a time when the Civil War began. A hospital was built in the area to care for wounded Union soldiers, and when Camp Hoffman was built, it held as many as 20,000 prisoners at a time, which was double its occupancy limit, and at least 3,000 to 8000 died there due to limited rations and poor conditions. Because of the death permeating the ground in the area due to the Civil War and the several shipwrecks that occurred near the lighthouse, the lighthouse is incredibly haunted. People have heard footsteps in the hall and stairway, heard doors slamming shut, and heard voices and even snoring coming from nowhere. Several paranormal investigations have occurred here, where they were able to catch numerous EVPs, felt cold spots, and witnessed full-body apparitions. Ep. 138 - Spring-heeled Jack
Spring-Heeled Jack is a boogeyman entity in English folklore during the Victorian Era, where his name caused fear among those who lived in London during that time. Reports of this entity began in 1837 and most of his attacks were against women, where he would ring the doorbell and then cause severe damage to their clothing with sharp claws, or just simply ambush people while they are out walking. The descriptions of him were so varied of what he looked like that sometimes he was described as having the appearance of a ghost, the Devil or even a bear, but many of the descriptions of him claimed he had clawed hands, fiery red eyes, wore a helmet, cape, and a tight-fitting white outfit. Those in authority believed that this entity was just a man or group of wealthy men that were dressing up and scaring people on a bet, and several men were brought in for questioning for the different attacks. But there were many that believed that because of his terrifying and frightful appearance, that he was more paranormal, and could be the Devil or a demon, a shape-shifting figure, a spectral phantom, or even an alien. Ep. 137 - The Beast of Gévaudan
The Beast of Gévaudan is the name associated with a man-eating animal or animals that terrorized the former province of Gévaudan in south-central France between 1764 and 1767. The Beast ravaged the rural region, where as many as 300 men, women, & children were attacked. While many believed it to be a wolf, there are some that suggest that the Beast may have been something else. There were a few occasions where the people of Gévaudan were able to shoot the Beast, with the belief that they had killed it, but it never stayed down for long. Historians, scientists, and conspiracy theorists have all proposed different theories about what the Beast was, including an extinct prehistoric creature like the Dire Wolf, a striped hyena, and an armored war dog. The most popular theory, and what the people of Gévaudan believed, was that the Beast was a werewolf or pack of werewolves. Some claimed that the Beast could walk on its hind feet, had amazing leaping ability and its hide could repel bullets. We had a blast doing a live show at Fan Expo Philadelphia! We talked about Nic Cage and that time he bought a serial killer’s home. He purchased the LaLaurie mansion located at 1138 Royal St in New Orleans in 2007 for $3.4 million with the plans to use the house as the perfect inspiration to write the “great American horror novel”. Ep. 135 - The Oklahoma Octopus
The Oklahoma Octopus is a cryptid that inhabits a few of the freshwater man-made lakes in Oklahoma, including Lake Thunderbird & Lake Tenkiller, where it attacks and kills unsuspecting swimmers. It is a cephalopod, about the size of a horse, with long tentacles and leathery, reddish-brown skin. There have been numerous reported sightings, which typically involve fairly-large tentacles just at the surface of the lake, but there is no physical evidence that the Oklahoma Octopus exists. Many point to the high mortality rate and dramatic rise in unexplained drownings that occur in these lakes as the evidence of the octopus's existence. Even though the drownings are most likely the result of people getting drunk and not paying attention while swimming, there are some that believe that the Oklahoma Octopus may have extraterrestrial origins. There are scientists that theorize that because the genome of an octopus has a staggering level of complexity, compared to a human being, that they most likely originated somewhere other than Earth. Ep. 134 - Banshee Labyrinth
The Banshee Labyrinth, located at 29-35 Niddry Street in Edinburgh, Scotland, is considered to be Scotland's most haunted pub. The pub is made up of seven rooms and about half of the pub is built into Edinburgh’s underground vaults. When operational, the vaults were known for homeless, thieves, and the unsavory and it was here, that many people met a very gruesome end. When the pub was renovating one of the vaults, a worker saw a woman with long red hair, covering her face as she sobbed. She then shrieked a horrible howl which caused the worker to pass out in terror. When he came to, she was gone, and when he went home that night, he received a phone call that a family member had died. He felt that he had encountered a banshee, who in Irish mythology says her scream heralds the death of a loved one. Many have placed their drink down and watched it slide straight off the table or smash against a wall as if thrown by an unseen force. Creepy, disembodied sounds can be heard in the corridors in the middle of the night, and some have heard singing down in the tunnels. There are several entities that are seen and felt in different parts of the pub, and at least one that is seen in other pubs nearby. Ep. 133 - Corny the Irish Poltergeist
Corney was a poltergeist that haunted the A- family in Dublin, Ireland during the mid-19thcentury. The address of the house, as well as, the families name is a mystery even though we have the story of Corney’s antics. He let his presence be known to the family and their staff, but only showed his spectral body to two people. The first who died from fright, and the 2nd, a 7-year old boy where he described him as a naked man, with a curl on his forehead, and pale skin. His misbehavior with the servants of the house were especially awful and Mrs. A- had a hard time keeping the servants in the house. Who was Corney? It is believed that he is the spirit of Cornelius, known as Corney, who was a faithful elderly servant living in that house. His death in the house apparently tied him to the building. A year after his death, the family moved away and the A- family moved in and that is when the poltergeist behavior of Corney began. Was Corney upset that a new family moved in? Ep. 131 - Falcon Lake Incident
The Falcon Lake Incident occurred on May 20, 1967 and is considered one of Canada's best documented UFO cases. Stefan Michalak, an amateur geologist, was prospecting near Falcon Lake when he was startled by some nearby geese that suddenly flew up. It was at that point he saw two cigar-shaped objects in the sky. One of them landed on a flat rock, while the other stayed in the air for a few minutes before flying off. He approached it, could feel warm air, smell Sulphur, as well as hear muffled voices inside. When he called out to see whoever was inside needed help, the voices immediately stopped. The ship began to turn counter-clockwise, and he was struck in the chest by a blast of air or gas that pushed him back and set his shirt and hat on fire. He ripped off his burning clothes while the ship lifted up and flew away. Disoriented and nauseous, he stumbled through the forest until he eventually made it back to his motel. He was treated at a hospital for burns to his chest and stomach that later turned into raised sores in a grid-like pattern. And for weeks afterwards, he suffered from diarrhea, headaches, blackouts and weight loss. Ep. 130 - The Horizon City Monster
Just outside El Paso, Texas, a Bigfoot-like creature with red eyes has been prowling the area since the 1970’s. He was first seen in 1975 by three teenagers near the Horizon City golf course, and when the Sheriff's Department investigated, only a footprint was found. They believed that the print had been manually dug, so felt that the whole encounter was a hoax or they had misidentified a long-haired hermit living in the mountains nearby. In 2001 and 2002, he was seen again by the same witness where she described it as 7 - 8 feet tall, with broad shoulders, an elongated head and a mouth that resembled a bull dog. It also had short faded brownish-maroon hair with glowing red eyes and small, pointy ears. Most recently, in July 2021, a screaming howl was heard in McKelligon Canyon for several minutes by multiple people. It was something very different, very loud, almost like a thundering roar. It was quiet before the howls came back: one long one, followed by a few short ones. Then it was quiet again. Many believe that the Horizon City Monster had once again made his presence known. Ep. 129 - The RMS Queen Mary
The RMS Queen Mary was a large luxury British ocean liner that operated from 1936 to 1967, when she was retired and is now docked at Long Beach, California. Because of her size and speed, she served as a troop transport ship during World War II where she could transport an entire army division in one voyage. In 1942, she tragically sliced through an escort warship during an Atlantic crossing killing over 330 men, and was also responsible for prisoner of war transports. With the amount of trans-Atlantic crossings as this ship has done, and apparently the 49 recorded deaths here, including a crewman who was crushed by a watertight door, there may be as many as 150 spirits still lingering here. This ship can be a drain on cell phone or camera batteries and people often feel dizzy, nauseous or have hot/cold flashes on board. There are drastic temp changes, slamming of doors and people have heard screaming or crying in many of the rooms. Ep. 128 - Island of the Dolls
Just south of Mexico City you will find a small island, Isla de las Muñecas (also known as the Island of Dolls), where a young girl met her fate in mysterious circumstances and it is now the home to hundreds of terrifying dolls hanging from trees, many decomposing and missing limbs or even heads. Don Julián Santana Barrera found a young girl who drowned on the shores of this island and hung up her doll as a sign of respect and to show her spirit support in the afterlife. He soon found that he was being haunted by her spirit so to protect himself he began to collect dolls that he could hang up all over the island. Fifty year later, and many dolls later, Don Julián was found dead by drowning in the same spot as that little girl so long ago. Today, the island is a tourist spot with heaps of spiders, feral cats, and thousands of dolls. Some swear that the dolls blink, move and turn their heads to watch visitors as they walk around the island, and some claim that they come alive at night and whisper to each other. The current caretaker of the island, Don Julián's nephew, says that at night you can hear girl spirits crying as well as hear his uncles’ cane thumping on the ground. Ep. 127 - Red Onion Saloon
The town of Skagway, Alaska served as the “Gateway to the Klondike” and located within this town was the Red Onion Saloon, an exclusive brothel established in 1898 that served the 30,000 prospectors that came through the area seeking their fortune during the Klondike Gold Rush. Uniquely, dolls representing each of the workers would be placed at the bar, and customers would then choose by selecting a doll. It was only a brothel for two years before the gold rush waned there and a new rush popped up in Nome, Alaska. Throughout the years, the saloon housed various businesses including a dance hall, a pharmacy, a telegraph station, and army barracks during World War II. In 1980, the building was reopened as a saloon and restaurant, and the owner decorated with pictures of the girls who used to work there when it was a brothel as well as a brothel museum that operates upstairs. One of the most recognizable and famous spirits at the Red Onion Saloon is that of Lydia, one of the former prostitutes of the brothel. People will encounter a strong smell of perfume that lingers in the air as well as extreme cold spots where the smell of perfume had originated, and many believe that it is her. She has been seen many times in full apparition wearing a long dark dress gliding down the staircase after dark. Another active ghost is thought to be the spirit of Diamond Lil, where she will make herself known to male guests by gently running her hands along their legs and whispering in their ears. There is also a malevolent male spirit here who doesn't seem to be friendly towards anyone and some have seen the face of a male spirit in a mirror that is hanging in the Madam’s bedroom. Ep. 126 - Lincoln Park Zoo
The Lincoln Park Zoo is a 35-acre zoo located in Chicago, IL that was founded in 1868 on the same spot as where a cemetery had been located. This cemetery once held the remains of 35,000 people and when the cemetery closed, they moved most of the bodies to another location, but experts believe that there could be around 12,000 bodies that remain there. Throughout the years, several bodies have been exhumed during different construction projects, with some getting put back in the ground where they were found. Because bodies have been left here and buildings built over top of them, the zoo has become a haunted hot spot. People have witnessed flickering lights and had doors slam on them. Various EVP's have been captured here, including the voice of the zoo director even though he is still very much alive. There is a floating pocket of negative energy that makes people physically sick that moves throughout the park, and several full body apparitions have been seen in Victorian period clothing. There are some that believe that the paranormal activity in the park isn’t just related to dead bodies still in the ground under the zoo. There used to be a bridge going across the lagoon right next to the zoo that was dubbed the "suicide bridge" due to hundreds of people killing themselves there. Ep. 125 - The Black Knight Satellite
Followers of the Black Knight Theory believe that there is a spacecraft or satellite of extraterrestrial origin that has been in orbit near Earth for 13,000 years and that NASA and several governments are covering it up. The theory itself has been taken from several different unrelated events and compiled into one idea. In 1899, Nikola Tesla received electrical signals which he interpreted as a series of numeric codes that were sent from Mars, and in 1927, Norwegian engineer Jorgen Hals also encountered a weird sound anomaly which led many theorists to believe that aliens were trying to get our attention. Coupled with the sound oddities, there was the belief that the government was trying to conceal the truth about aliens and their existence. Then in 1973, science fiction writer Duncan Lunan came up with a theory that took all these events and merged them into what is the current Black Knight Satellite Theory. He claimed that there is a 13,000 year old UFO orbiting the Earth and that he has decoded the signals from it in which it is from an alien race on a double star named Epsilon Bootis. The theory has found new life with the discovery of a photo taken during a mission to the International Space Station in 1998 of a black object floating in space. Ep. 124 - The House of Death
The House of Death has a very beautiful and charming exterior, but on the inside of this brownstone home in Greenwich Village, it is riddled with spirits that apparently will not leave. Since its construction in the 1850s, twenty-two people have reportedly died in this home. There have been several notable residents that have lived here, including Mark Twain who evidently is one of the spirits seen here in a white suit near the staircase. When Jan Bryant Bartell lived here in 1957, she witnessed and felt some of the psychic phenomenon, and invited a medium and paranormal investigator into the home to find out what was still residing there. The medium felt that there was something or many things dead under the floorboards and became possessed by the spirit of one of the entities that told them they were never going to leave. The paranormal experiences of the House of Death have apparently spread to neighboring houses on the street. Many have seen flickering lights and witnessed a woman in a long gown roaming down hallways as well as a disappearing gray cat. Ep. 123 - The Devil's Tramping Grounds
The Devil’s Tramping Grounds, one of the most haunted spots in North Carolina, is a spot of barren land in a forty foot perfect circle located in a forest near Harper’s Crossroads. Local legend alleges that the Devil "tramps" and haunts this circle of ground in which nothing is supposed to grow. If someone places sticks or other obstacles in the path at dusk, it will be found outside the circle in the morning, regardless of the weight of the object. Animals won't cross this area, and people have witnessed red glowing eyes in the circle as well as the area outside it. The Devil's pacing in the circle is the most notable explanation, but others have suggested that a UFO landed there, that it is an ancient meeting place for Native Americans, as well as a possible link to Croatoan and the Lost Colonists. Soil studies have been done to see if there is a more scientific reason for nothing growing there, but the results showed that plants could actually survive there. Ep. 122 - Lake Shawnee Amusement Park
Lake Shawnee Amusement Park, located near Princeton, West Virginia, is an old run-down amusement park that was plagued with violent deaths, freak accidents and happened to be built on an ancient Native American burial ground. In the late 1700s, the Clay family settled the area but had a turf war with a local tribe which resulted in the deaths of three of his children and many tribesmen. Over 100 years later the land was purchased and turned into an amusement park by Conley Snidow where he hoped the families of nearby coal miners could enjoy the outdoors. He built a Ferris wheel, a swing ride, a pond and swimming hole, but after six deaths he had to close the park. In the 1980s, Gaylord White tried to bring the park back to its former glory, but after his construction crews began digging, they found a mass grave and Native American artifacts. Any hopes of rebuilding it was shut down. Many feel a strange energy there and report a feeling of being watched or followed. Some have heard children laughing as well as seen full-body apparitions of children running through the park. Mysterious chanting and drum beats have been heard, and many have seen the apparitions of Native Americans in the darkness. Ep. 121 - The Haunted Hinsdale House
In the early 1970's, the Dandy family moved into a home in Hinsdale, New York, which eventually would become known as the most haunted house in New York State. The family claimed that they were visited by many spirits while living there, and many of their experiences in the beginning seemed mild. They would see objects move on their own, smell perfume from someone they couldn't see, or hear sounds from something unseen. They even heard chanting coming from the nearby woods. Eventually, though, things escalated and turned more sinister with knives being thrown across the room by unseen forces, and the children waking up with bruises and scratches all over their bodies. They turned to the church to have the house cleansed of the evil energy, but it failed and Father Trabold told the family to leave as soon as possible. The house shifted hands over the years, with no one staying for very long, until 2016, when Daniel Klaes purchased it. He uses the home now for paranormal research and claims that the spirits are still there. He believes that the paranormal activity stems from a Native American massacre that occurred there in 1799 and that when ponds were dug and installed on the property in the late 1960's, something was unearthed. Ep. 120 - Melonheads of Ohio, Michigan, and Connecticut
Melon Heads is the name given to legendary beings that live in the forests of Ohio, Michigan, and Connecticut. There are differing variations of how they came to be depending on which area you live in, but for the most part they appear human but with bulbous, melon-like heads, and they prey upon humans who wonder into their territory. Those that claim to see a melon head, say they are completely bald with a bulbous head, abnormal arms & legs, teeth that look like daggers, and glowing red eyes. Almost every origin story of the Melon Heads involves an evil doctor or scientist performing cruel and terrible experiments on children with hydrocephalus which can cause an enlargement of the head. Many of these kids then become crazy or feral, but most historians agree that these hospitals, mental institutions and doctors never existed. Ep. 119 - Brushy Mountain State Penn
"Welcome to the end of the line!" Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, TN is Tennessee’s first maximum-security prison holding the state’s most violent murderers, robbers and rapists. Some of the sentences were for 200 years or more, so most of the men who were here, never made it out. And although the death penalty was never carried out here, many met their end by natural or even devious circumstances. The prison was in use for over 110 years making it the oldest operating prison in Tennessee when it closed in June of 2009. The building reopened to the public in 2018 offering tours of the site, private events, concerts, and a distillery and restaurant operate there now. With so many deaths, murders, and suicides having occurred here, it isn’t surprising that there are reports of the paranormal occurring here. Visitors have been touched, shoved, scratched and even growled at, and some have heard laughter and been told to "get out". Shadows and apparitions have been seen here, and foul odors have been smelled, but not always in the same spot. Ep. 118 - Pascagoula Abduction
On the evening of October 11, 1973, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker decided to go fishing off the west bank of the Pascagoula River after work. There they heard a whirring noise and saw two flashing blue lights reflecting off the water. When they looked up, they saw a bright, football-shaped object in the sky where three strange creatures emerged and floated down to them. Once these creatures touched their arms, they became immobile yet a feeling of calm came over them. They were both guided and floated up to the flying ship where they were put under examination by these creatures and a machine that looked like a giant eye. Eventually they found themselves back on the shore and watched as the ship shot up into the sky and disappeared. After some debate, both Charles and Calvin went to the police to report their experience. At first, the police thought that they were just making up a story to get attention, but once they left them alone in the interview room with a hidden recorder that caught their conversation with each other, they changed their mind. Both talked about the fear and anxiety they were experiencing and how they needed to go the doctor to get examined and make sure nothing was done to them. Charles was even given a polygraph test within a few weeks of the encounter and the agent administering the test believed that Charles saw a space ship, was taken into the space ship & that he believes that he saw three space creatures. Many of us grew up with an imaginary friend by our side, but these companions typically don't usually last beyond childhood. There is an ancient idea gaining more popularity in our modern times where with enough thought and focus we can create real sentient beings called tulpas. Some believe that tulpas think on their own, have emotions as well as their own memories. Tulpas also create personalities and desires all their own separate from those that brought them to life, achieving full consciousness. The tulpa can become relatively independent of its creator, tending to become negatively corrupted if it doesn’t receive the attention it wants and eventually become an evil entity. Ep. 116 - The Mysterious Coral Castle
In 1923, Ed Leedskalnin, a little, chronically ill guy, took 2.2 million pounds of Florida limestone, some chunks as big as 10 tons, and over the span of twenty-eight years built a castle in Homestead, Florida. To this day, no one really knows how he was able to single-handedly make this castle since he used simple hand tools and would do most of the work at night. When asked about it, Ed would only say that he knew the secrets of the people that built the pyramids. His reasoning behind building the castle was because the love of his life, Agnes, had broken his heart the day before their wedding day, and he was trying to build a place that she would be enticed to travel to and take him back. Not only were the stones of the castle and walls put together so precisely that no light would pass through the joints, but he also created a sundial that was accurate, a Polar telescope that perfectly aligned to the North Star, and a revolving gate that only needed a simple push of the finger to make it move. The area also seems to have a mysterious and paranormal aura around the castle. People have witnessed multiple UFO's in the sky, have seen the Skunk Ape nearby, and have had camera malfunctions, heard screams nearby as well as witnessed apparitions. Ep. 115 - Haunted and Cursed Movie Sets
There have been numerous movie sets and productions that have been cursed throughout the years, with actors dying either before the film concludes or shortly after, or with strange coincidences occurring during filming. During the filming of the 1976 film The Omen, there were three different incidents with lightning striking planes that cast members were on, as well as a producer that was nearly struck by lightning while on location in Rome. There have also been reports of strange and unexplainable paranormal instances happening on set or following a cast member home. During the filming of The Innkeepers almost everyone on the crew would have vivid dreams or wake up in the middle of the night feeling like they were not alone, and the director said that the phone in his room would ring but no one was on the other end when he would answer. Why does it seem that horror movies end up having the most unexplained instances to happen on them? Some believe that they may be inviting evil into their filming which is why the films seem to be cursed. Before filming any of the Conjuring movies, the director and producers have the set blessed by a local priest in the area. They didn't think to have the first film blessed, but after many paranormal and weird things occurred on set and to cast members, they decided to make a tradition. Ep. 114 - The Watseka Wonder
The Watseka Wonder is the name given to the first documented American possession of 14-year-old Lurancy Vennum of Watseka, Illinois in 1878. It all started with Lurancy suddenly feeling ill with severe stomach pains, seizures, and loss of consciousness which they referred to as "trances". She also wasn't able to sleep well because she was being awakened at night by someone calling her name that wasn't there. As time went on, her symptoms got even stranger when she would speak in different voices or speak of places that she had never been to. After one of her last "trances", Lurancy stated that she was now Mary Roff, a young woman who had died 13 years prior. She told them that she would retain control until Lurancy's soul was healed. She knew the Roff family, all of their nicknames, and even how to play the piano, even though Lurancy had no knowledge. She lived as Mary, with the Roff family, for a few months before announcing that Lurancy's soul was healed and would be returning soon. As promised, Lurancy did return and lived a happy, normal life from then on. Did Lurancy suffer from a temporary psychological condition, or did she actually get possessed by the spirit of Mary Roff? Ep. 113 - Mantis Man
In Hackettstown, NJ near the Musconetcong River, there have been several encounters with a large bug-like creature resembling a praying mantis. This Mantis Man is about 7 feet tall with a dark green or brown exoskeleton, a triangular head, and large, slanted black eyes. Two of the encounters were with fishermen who were in the water and they both felt that the creature was surprised that they could see it, before it disappeared into thin air. Every encounter with this creature has been in or near the water, which is odd since praying mantis insects stick to dry ground. In Iran, a unique rock carving was found of a creature with six limbs that has been described as part man, part mantis. The archeologists estimated that the carving could be anywhere between 4,000 and 40,000 years old, which suggests that ancient humans have possibly linked mantids to the supernatural since ancient times. Were these encounters a drug-induced hallucination? Or possibly, Mantis Man is an alien, with the ability to cloak itself and disappear into thin air, that even ancient humans have encountered. Ep. 112 - Bigfoot Encounter in Honobia, Oklahoma
Over a period of two years, the Humphreys family dealt with a group of Bigfoot creatures that almost nightly would try to get into their cabin in Honobia, Oklahoma. At first it was just noises in the vicinity of their cabin that they would hear. One day they found that one of their freshly killed deer had been stolen from their outside freezer, so they cleaned out what meat was left in it and assumed that the problem had been solved. That is when they began to see the Bigfoot creatures on their porch, jiggling the doorknob and tapping on the windows, trying to get in. As the nights and days went on, they became more ferocious trying to get into the cabin. In January 2000, Tim Humphreys was on his porch with a few friends and when one of the creatures got close enough to the cabin, he shot at it. The Bigfoot creature ran into the woods howling, and continued to scream the rest of the night. The next day they followed a trail of blood into the woods, but were never able to find the creature that was hit. Ep. 111 - Alien Robot Attack at Cisco Grove
On September 4, 1964, Donald Shrum went on a bow hunting trip in California with friends that turned into an adventure that he will never forget! At some point in the day, he got separated from the group because he was tracking a deer, and since it was almost dark, he decided to hunker down up in a tree and wait for first light. Right before he fell asleep, he saw a light zig-zagging in the distance and because he thought it might be a search party looking for him, he lit a flare to let them know where he was. Suddenly, the light rapidly moved towards him and he realized at this point that it was a large cigar-shaped object. Two beings and a robot appeared below him and began trying to shake him out of the tree, and even released a white gas that knocked him out. When he woke up, he was still in the tree but the beings and robot were still there trying to shake him out of the tree. This continued all night, with shaking of the tree and the white gas being emitted several times and him passing out. At dawn, after an emittance of the gas, he woke up but this time he was hanging from the tree by his belt and the entities were gone. When he finally returned to camp, he discovered that one of his friends had also seen the light the night before, but they hadn't witnessed anything else strange. The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel, known as the Castle of the Rockies, is a 130+ year old resort and spa in a large castle located in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Because of a vision to bring the beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains to the rest of the world, William Cornelius Van Horne began construction in 1887 and officially opened on June 1, 1888. This location wasn’t just chosen for its scenic beauty, it was also by a railway and served as one of Canada’s grand railway hotels. William knew that he couldn't export the scenery, so why not import the tourists. The hotel has a few residents who've checked in throughout the years, but a few who’ve never checked out! One of the most famous entities at the hotel is the ghost bride who fell down the grand marble staircase after her wedding and broke her neck. Since then, many have seen the figure of a woman in a wedding dress walking up and down the stairs. There is also Sam the bellman that is still performing his job by helping hotel guests when they are in need. One of the more terrifying paranormal experiences occur in room 873. Legend says that a mother and child were murdered in room 873 by the father and husband, and since then people have been woken in the middle of the night in the room by screaming. Once the lights come on, there are bloody handprints on the mirror that can't be wiped off by the cleaning staff until they just disappear. Ep. 109 - Gef the Talking Mongoose
In September of 1931, the Irving family, James, Margaret and their 13-year-old daughter Voirrey, began hearing a persistent scratching, rustling, and animal-like noises behind the walls of their farmhouse located on the Isle of Man. It didn't take long for a creature to introduce himself as Gef, and inform them that he was an "extra extra clever" mongoose from India that was born in 1852. He soon became part of the family and would tell them if they had a guest arriving soon, would turn the fire out in the stove at night if they forgot, or even wake those that had overslept in the morning. The Irvings would put bananas, chocolates and biscuits in a saucer that was suspended from the ceiling that Gef would take when no one was looking. The story of Gef became very popular in the press, where many journalists tried to catch a glimpse of him, and in 1935, several psychic investigators and paranormal researchers investigated the case of Gef. In the end, not a single one saw or even heard Gef, which led them to believe that he was the result of a hoax perpetuated by the daughter, with the family assisting in it. As NASA's website says, ʻOumuamua is the first known interstellar object to visit our Solar System. It was discovered on October 19, 2017 when it was close to the sun, and is described as cigar-like shaped with a reddish hue. It is also tumbling end over end every seven hours or so. It has been classified as a comet, but it doesn't have the signature tail that comets always have, which brings many, including scientists and astrophysicists to believe there is the possibility of it being something else, even extraterrestrial in nature. 'Oumuaua is now too far away for our telescopes to see anymore but the intrigue and wonder as to what it could be, is just as strong. Is it just an asteroid or comet? Bobby Mackey's Music World is a former slaughterhouse and meat-packing facility that served northwest Kentucky as well as parts of Ohio back in the 1850's. It eventually was demolished and the new building became a casino, nightclub, speakeasy, and now a music club. The story of Scratching Fanny of Cock Lane had something for everyone: forbidden love, money, death and the supernatural were all elements in this sad ghost tale. After the death of Fanny Lynes from smallpox, her lover William Kent fell under public suspicion of murder after séances were held to determine who or what was behind the scratching noises coming from the home on Cock Lane. The one person that these noises seemed to be attached to was the young daughter, Elizabeth Parsons, of the landlord who owned the Cock Lane home, and it was determined from these sessions that Fanny had not died from smallpox, but rather arsenic poisoning that Kent had administered to her! After reading the accusations in the press, William Kent vowed to clear his name. He enlisted two of the physicians that had attended Fanny in her last days, as well as a reverend to help hold their own séances, but it wasn't until a maid revealed that she had seen the young daughter sneak out of the séance to get a small stick that the whole thing was exposed as a fraud. Elizabeth Parsons confessed that her father had made her make the scratching noises for him in retaliation of a loan disagreement between the two men. Ep. 102 - Ahool the Giant Bat-Like Creature

Ep. 101 - West Virginia State Penitentiary
In 1876, the West Virginia State Penitentiary, also known as the Moundsville Penitentiary, opened in Moundsville, WV. This gothic-style prison was in part built by the prisoners that would be incarcerated in it, and also contained prisoner-ran shops that helped it become a self-sufficient facility. As time went on, the prison went through many changes and problems, especially with security, plumbing and overcrowding, that allowed for disease and chaos to run rampant. Over the years there were murders, riots, prisoner escapes and almost 100 executions. The prison shut down operations in 1995 and moved its remaining prisoners to other facilities. Many believe that the building was built on Native American burial grounds, which allowed for hundreds of spirits to still roam. Visitors have heard voices and whispering, heard the cell doors clanging shut, have felt cold spots and been touched by unseen hands, smelled unpleasant odors, and seen apparitions. Ep. 99 - Satan's Hollow
Can you get to hell from a storm drain in southern Ohio? Legend claims that a haunted portal called Satan's Hollow that leads straight to hell is located in Blue Ash, Ohio. Satan's Hollow is a series of drainage tunnels, where a group of Satanists used to meet in an altar room, and conduct their rituals. Inside the tunnel/storm drain, there is graffiti on the wall including symbols of the sign of the Devil, 666 and the words “GO BACK” and “HELL LIES AHEAD.” While these tunnels certainly are creepy, they aren’t very big. Aside from the area when you enter the tunnel system, you pretty much have to stay bent over to get through, & they get smaller as you go on. People have heard screams coming from inside the tunnel at night, have seen floating faces, skulls, and apparitions, and some have seen a strange glow flickering from within. There is also supposedly a demon called “The Shadow Man” that waits inside guarding the tunnels from trespassers. In the Altar Room, it is claimed that you can hear strange noises that sound like footsteps rapidly making their way through the shallow film of water that flows everywhere, and the energy in the vicinity changes. Ep. 98 - The Rougarou
The Rougarou is a werewolf or dog-like creature that exists along the swamps and bayous of Southeast Louisiana. Most reports of the Rougarou claim it is a half-man, half-dog or that it is a man with the head of a dog. It stands upright on two feet, is covered in hair, with long fangs and red glowing eyes. Unlike most werewolves, it can turn into this form at any time of the month, and doesn't seem to be as violent, prefering to wreak havoc by destroying property or passing his curse onto others. The curse of the Rougarou varies with some saying you become one by not observing Lent for seven years, by staring into his glowing eyes, or by being cursed by someone or a witch. Some say that if you become one, then you must keep the secret for 101 days in order for the curse to be broken, but if you do not, you will be bound to the curse forever. You can protect yourself from a Rougarou entering your home by placing thirteen pennies, rocks, or other objects on your doorstep, because it doesn't know the number 13. Ep. 97 - The Hat Man
Dark apparitions that reveal themselves while you're sleeping are scary enough, but of all the Shadow People that visit you at night, the Hat Man may be the creepiest. Because he appears in so many different situations, and occasionally to several people in the same family, there isn't really a clear explanation if he's truly evil and why he appears to so many people. Ep. 96 - The Welsh Roswell
The Berwyn Mountains UFO Incident, also known as the Welsh Roswell, was a mysterious event involving strange lights and noises that occurred the evening of January 23, 1974. At approximately 8:30 PM, people in the area were surprised to hear an enormous boom and feel the earth shake, and when looking outside saw a brilliant light in the sky traveling over the mountain peaks. There were soon reports of a large fire burning on the side of the mountain, and the Royal Air Force was scrambled on a rescue mission to the area, but in the end, they claimed to have found no evidence of plane wreckage or any evidence that anything had crashed. The official explanation was that the residents in that area had experienced an earthquake at the same time that a meteor was burning up in the atmosphere. The odds of that seems infinitesimal, which is why many people believe that a UFO crashed landed in the mountainous and remote area and then was covered up by the British government, earning it the nickname of Roswell. Ep. 95 - Waverly Hills Sanatorium
Waverly Hills Sanatorium, in Louisville, Kentucky, is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in the United States. It opened as a tuberculosis hospital on July 26, 1910 when the tuberculosis epidemic was beginning to gain steam in the country. Sadly, the main use for the hospital was to isolate those who had contracted the disease, and during the time that it ran as a hospital it was estimated that approximately 6000 people perished here, but there are some that believe that number could be as high as 64,000. Paranormal investigators have heard strange sounds and eerie footsteps in empty rooms, have heard slamming doors and seen lights in the windows as if the power is on, and witnessed apparitions in the hallways and rooms. Tour guides have reported seeing doppelgängers of themselves and many have encountered a dark, terrifying entity called the Creeper who crawls on the floors, walls and ceilings instilling dread in those who see him. Ep. 94 - The Abair Road Incident
Stories of giant stones being tossed at hikers, loud screams that pierce the air and even sightings of something unknown have filled Whitehall, NY locals' lives for generations. In August of 1976 there were sightings of a creature that took place over a two day period which is now called the Abair Road Incident. This creature was described as being between 7 and 8 feet tall, having red glowing eyes, walking like a man, but looking more like a gorilla, and it was reported by multiple witnesses that it made a sound like a pig squealing or a woman screaming. Over a two day period in August 1976, several civilians and multiple police officers witnessed a creature that can only be described as Bigfoot. But some sightings since then have seen a creature with a long and lanky torso and thin gangly arms, which leads many to believe that the Abair Road creature was another paranormal entity, or that there may be more than one type around in the area. Ep. 93 - The Kinross Incident
During the early evening of November 23, 1953, 1st Lieutenant Felix Moncla and 2nd Lieutenant Robert Wilson left the Kinross Air Force Base in a F-89C Scorpion fighter jet to investigate a strange radar return that had been picked up. In the control room at the base, radar operators watched the screen as the blip representing the jet got closer to the unidentified blip, and then became one with it. Radar operatives lost contact with the jet and eventually the blip disappeared from the screen. After several days of searching, no trace of the jet, the two men or the unknown object were ever found. It wasn’t long before the Air Force began to backtrack and give different stories about the circumstances of that evening, but there is speculation from many that Felix Moncla and Robert Wilson had come in contact with a UFO. Because there is no plane debris or evidence of the encounter, it has been theorized that their plane was either engulfed by the UFO or they may have gone through an open portal or gateway following the strange craft to an unknown location. Ep. 92 - Haunted White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue might be the most famous address in America, but it is also perhaps the country’s most famous haunted house. Presidents, first ladies, staff members and guests have reported feeling ghostly presences, hearing unexplained noises and even running into apparitions throughout the years. The ghost of Abigail Adams has been seen carrying her laundry, President Andrew Jackson has been heard stomping and swearing through the halls, and an unknown soldier has been seen roaming the grounds holding a torch. But by far the most frequently reported sightings have been of President Abraham Lincoln. Grace Coolidge, President Coolidge's wife, was the first person to witness Lincoln's ghost. He was looking out a window in the oval office and turned to look at her before disappearing. Winston Churchhill even told a story of seeing the apparition of Abraham Lincoln after he emerged from his bath with the same results. Ep. 91 - Solomon Islands Giants
The Solomon Islands is east of Papua New Guinea, and consists of nearly one thousand islands. One of the largest of the islands, Guadalcanal, contains eerie forests that have rarely been explored by scientists and many area tribes believe it to be the home to the giants. These giants are over ten feet tall, with evidence that they grow much taller, have very long black, brown or reddish hair, and have bulging red eyeballs. Although they are omnivorous, most reports find them to be very dangerous to humans. Islanders believe that the giants travel in a vast cave system that spans the entire length of the island, and have a huge city beneath the mountain with advanced technology. Ep. 90 - The Hollow Moon Theory
The Hollow Moon Theory, also known as the Spaceship Moon Hypothesis, suggests that Earth's Moon is completely hollow and is the base of operations for an alien civilization. The favored official scientific explanation is that the Moon is not hollow and broke off from the Earth's crust after it was struck by a massive object the size of Mars, but many conspiracy theorists believe it to be artificially created due to its density and size in relation to Earth, as well as the fact that it rang like a bell for hours when a lunar module from Apollo 12 crash landed there. In 1970, two Soviet astronomers were studying the Moon and theorized that it was likely a hollow moon put in place by a highly-advanced extraterrestrial race. They believed that the large lunar craters were too shallow and too flat, and hypothesized that meteors that impacted the Moon were hitting an armored hull under the rocky surface. They also speculated that it had been a type of ark with alien species that was parked millions of years ago in our atmosphere. Ep. 89 - Dogmen
Dogmen are bipedal wolf-like creatures that are over seven feet tall when standing erect, but in a small percentage of reported dogmen encounters, the witness describes the creature looking like a large, muscular human with a dog head. They are covered in hair, have glowing gold-red eyes, a pointed muzzle, and unusually long arms. In every encounter, there is an extreme feeling of dread that will overwhelm you, and many believe that the dogman uses infrasound or some form of ESP to deter and scare you. Ep. 87 - The Enfield Poltergeist
During the span of three years in the late 1970's, there were reports of poltergeist activity that took place at 284 Green Street Brimsdown, Enfield, England that terrified the Hodgson family. It is one of the most recognized cases of paranormal activity in the world, and for several years, the haunting held the nation spellbound, even spawning multiple TV shows, books, and films, including The Conjuring 2. The haunting was investigated by Maurice Grosse and Guy Playfair, both members of the Society for Psychical Research, who were convinced by the evidence which they encountered during their thirteen month long investigation. More than 30 people witnessed the strange incidents occurring inside the Hodgson home, including furniture moving on its own, matches lighting themselves, knocking on the walls, legos and marbles dropping from the ceiling, apparitions, and even excrement appearing in inappropriate places. Janet Hodgson, the young 11-year old daughter, appeared to be possessed, often going into violent trances, levitating across the room, and even speaking in a deep male voice for hours at a time, that revealed itself to be Bill Watkins who had passed away in the home. Ep. 86 - Ghost Hound of Goshen
There is a ghostly hound that prowls a rural road outside of Newberry, South Carolina that strikes terror into all who see it. It is a massive spectral white hound, with glowing red eyes, is very aggressive & threatening, chasing and even leaping at witnesses before vanishing into thin air. According to the legend, the hound is said to be the faithful pet of a peddler who was passing through the area sometime in the early 1850s. The man was wrongfully accused of murder and hung for it, but his dog refused to leave his master's body, was stoned to death, and many believe that its spirit has lingered there acting as a guardian to protect its territory even in death. The first known sighting was in 1855 by a young slave on his way to fetch a doctor. He heard a snarling, howling noise come from behind him, and when he turned around he saw a hulking white hound that then began to chase after him. No matter how fast he went, the hound caught up to him easily, passing him where it evaporated into thin air. Sightings of the ghost hound have occurred through out the years, but most agree that although terrifying, this ghost hound is harmless and only protecting the area. Ep. 85 - Kay's Cross
In the middle of a forest near Kaysville, Utah, lies the remains of a large cement cross that had at one time stood 20 feet tall. There are many legends associated with this cross, but the most notable of them involve a polygamist who owned the land and killed seven of his wives and buried them around the cross. There are also many rumors that Satanists have used the cross for rituals and sacrifices, and there are reports of dead dogs that had been left there from the sacrifices. On February 15, 1992, the cross was blown up, and to this day the destruction has never been solved. The cross has been known to glow if it's a full moon, and if you touch it, it will burn you. A strange spectral woman haunts the area and chases visitors away, and people have witnessed the face of a woman appearing on the cross. There have also been sightings of witches as well as tall figures in black with glowing eyes that seem to hover and teleport in the area. A lot of people have even seen werewolves or dog men that seem to guard the cross. Many people believe that Kay's Cross and the area surrounding it is haunted. Ep. 84 - The Allagash Abductions
In August of 1976, four men went on a camping trip for two weeks in the Allagash wilderness of Northern Maine. On the 2nd night there, one of the men witnessed a strange bright object in the sky that appeared for 30 seconds before it caved in on itself and disappeared. A few days later, the men were out night fishing when they witnessed the strange light in the sky again, and after pointing their flashlight at it, the object shone a light on them engulfing the men and their canoe. The next thing they remembered was being on the shore. Twelve years later, the men began having nightmares of creatures performing experiments on them, and after they each underwent regressive hypnosis, they realized that they all had been abducted by aliens that night so long ago. They remembered that the aliens had taken samples of their skin and body fluids and that they had terrifying faces, with large, metallic glowing eyes and insect-like hands with four fingers. Ep. 82 - The Yeti
The Yeti, also known as the abominable snowman, is an Asian Bigfoot that is found in the Himalayas. It stands between 8 to 10 feet tall, weighs between 200 and 400 pounds, resembles a huge, upright walking ape, and has a furry coat of brown, reddish, or black hair, not white as most imagine it as having. Many tribes in the area consider the Yeti to be a guardian of the Himalayas and a divine, spiritual being, and in Buddhist mythology it is considered to be a peaceful creature. Yetis have been seen in the Himalayas since 6th BCE and is considered to be the oldest hairy hominid on record. Alexander the Great demanded the locals show him one when he conquered the Indus Valley in 326 B.C., and Sir Edmund Hillary became a supporter of the existence of the Yeti after finding hair samples and footprints on his many expeditions in the mountains of Nepal during the 1950's. Ep. 81 - The Vile Vortices
In 1972, Ivan T. Sanderson, a Scottish biologist, began to take notice that there were specific regions on Earth, twelve to be exact, where planes, ships and people seemed to disappear without a trace, as well as other unexplained anomalies like spinning compasses, failing electrical equipment and UFO sightings occurred. He found these areas to be equidistant from each other, each one 72 degrees from the other, and named them the vile vortices. Sanderson believed that the activity surrounding these areas may be due to electromagnetic disturbances cause by hot and cold air, but there were some who felt that there may be connections to ley lines, or to extraterrestrial activity. Ep. 80 - Cape Girardeau UFO Crash
In the spring of 1941, Reverend William Huffman was asked to deliver last rites at a plane crash nearby. Once he arrived, he realized that this wasn't a plane crash, but rather a silver saucer that had crashed. Part of the UFO was ripped open and inside he saw bizarre knobs and dials, components of some sort of alien design, and strange hieroglyphics. There were three alien bodies lying near the crashed object. They were short with large heads, no hair, and covered head to toe in what looked like aluminum foil. The military showed up, cordoned off the area, confiscated all photographs, and swore everyone there to secrecy. Although the government tried to keep this UFO crash secret, Charlotte Mann, Huffman's granddaughter, began to talk about what had happened after her dying grandmother told her everything. The brother of the sheriff of Cape Girardeau also remembered hearing of a crash with little people associated with it, and multiple people began to make deathbed confessions of what they saw that night. Ep. 79 - Sorrel-Weed House, Savannah
The Sorrel-Weed House, located in Savannah, Georgia, is the most actively haunted building in Savannah, and considered one of the top ten haunted locations in the United States. People have seen shadows and orbs, have been touched by unseen hands, and have gotten EVP's of voices and screams. Several have experienced a sharp pain in the kidneys, and many others have been overcome with intense nausea that disappears once they are no longer in the building. Many believe that the spirits of the owner's wife and mistress are the ones haunting the home, but because the house was built where the bloodiest battle of the Revolutionary War happened, it is more likely that soldiers haunt the building. Ep. 77 - American Dyatlov Pass
In February of 1978, an unsolved incident occurred to five young men from Yuba County that is still being investigated by the area police today. The five men are known collectively as the Yuba County Five, and the incident itself is referred to as the American Dyatlov Pass. On February 24, 1978, Gary Mathias, Jack Huett, William Sterling, Ted Weiher and Jack Madruga left a college basketball game at 10 PM with the intention of driving home to get ready for their own league basketball game the next day. Unfortunately, none of the men arrived at their destination. The car they were driving was found two days after a search was launched, but because of a winter storm hitting the area shortly after, the authorities had to postpone the search. On June 4, 1978, a group of motorcyclists happened upon a ranger cabin that was about twenty miles from the abandoned car, where they discovered the emaciated body of Ted Weiher. The remains of 3 of the other men were discovered shortly after in the surrounding area, but the body of Gary Mathias was never found. There are a lot of questions and very few answers surrounding the strange and mysterious disappearance and deaths of these young men. What made them drive on a road far off from the route they should've taken? Why would they exit a perfectly working car and walk through the snow and woods to nowhere? Ep. 76 - The Bear Lake Monster
Bear Lake is a natural freshwater lake situated on the Idaho-Utah border, and has been called the "Caribbean of the Rockies" due to its unique turquoise-blue color. But lurking beneath the blue water, is a creature that is known to wait for its victims on the shores or unwary swimmers in the lake. Descriptions of the Bear Lake Monster vary, but it is reported to be 40 feet long, resembles a serpent or crocodile, with gray-greenish skin, short, but powerful, legs, and a head that looks similar to cow. Although, the legend of the Bear Lake Monster was passed down for generations by the Native Americans, it wasn't reported in the news until 1868. Within several years, reports of people witnessing the creature, and sometimes several creatures, was running rampant, and although sightings have calmed down since then, he has been spotted from time to time in the last few decades. Many people speculate that there may be an underground channel that connects to other water ways which is why we only see him every now and then. Ep. 75 - The Bloody Benders
In 1870, five families of spiritualists settled near Cherryvale, KS, and one of these families were the Benders, a family of four that is at the center of the greatest unsolved mystery of the Old West. Ma and Pa Bender, and their children John Jr and Kate, built a small one-room cabin that they turned into a store and inn for travelers on the Great Osage Trail. Many travelers would stop for a meal and supplies, but several of these men, who carried large sums of cash, began to go missing. After these disappearances began to get attention, the Benders abandoned their property, and it wasn't until they were gone, that their carnage was finally discovered. A sheet was hung to separate their living quarters with the store and inn, and while Kate would distract their guests, the two Bender men, hiding behind the sheet, would strike the unsuspecting traveler in the head. They would then cut the travelers throat, steal their valuables, and bury them in the yard. The Benders murdered over twenty people, but only gained about $4600 from these victims, which leads many to believe that they simply killed for the bloody thrill of it. People have heard moaning and wailing on the property, and have seen glowing apparitions roaming on the homestead, allowing many to believe the souls of those murdered are haunting the area. Ep. 74 - Samhain and Halloween
Samhain, celebrated October 31 to November 1st, is an ancient Celtic festival to welcome in the harvest, and to usher in the dark half of the year. It is seen as a time to wrap up the old and prepare for the new in our lives. It is also seen as a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is at its thinnest, allowing you to communicate and honor loved ones that have passed. October 31st became known as Halloween, but many of the traditions of trick or treating, dressing up in costumes, and pranks all have origins in Samhain. Ep. 73 - The Ouija Board
The Ouija Board, also known as a spirit or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the words "yes", "no, and "goodbye", and is used to communicate with the spirits of those that have died. With the aid of a small heart-shaped device called a planchette, you can ask the spirits a question, and they supposedly answer by centering the planchette on the various letters, numbers, or words on the board. The spiritualist movement, which began in the 1850's, believed that the spirits of the dead exist and have both the ability and the inclination to communicate with the living, which led to the popularity of these spirit boards to contact the unknown. Many have believed that they have interacted with the spirits of the departed, some for many years, while others have felt that the entity that they were communicating with, wasn't a spirit, but something much more evil. Ep. 71 - The Green Children of Woolpit
The Green Children of Woolpit are two children, a brother and sister, who showed up in the town of Woolpit in the 12th century. They had a green hue to their skin, were wearing clothing made from a strange material, and spoke a language no one could understand. Despite starving, the children wouldn't eat any of the food given to them by the townspeople until someone brought them raw broad beans several days later. They survived for months on only the beans until eventually they began to eat other foods. The boy became sick and died, while the girl thrived and her skin returned to a normal color. Eventually, the girl learned English and told the townspeople that she came from the land of Saint Martin, where there was no sun, but a perpetual twilight and everyone was green like they had been. They had gotten disoriented and lost in a cave, and when they finally emerged, it was in Woolpit. Since then, there have been a few scientific, as well as supernatural, explanations applied to this strange tale. Some believe it was simply chlorosis affecting the children, while others believe that the townsfolk of Woolpit were visited by aliens. What do you think? Ep. 70 - Stories of Bigfoot on Mount St. Helens
In July of 1924, a group of gold prospectors reportedly encountered multiple Bigfoot on the east flank of Mt. St. Helens, where they hastily fired their guns on them. The violence proved to be a mistake. That night, their cabin was assailed by a barrage of rocks, and they heard, and felt, giant bodies slamming against the walls and doors. The battle carried on the entire night, and when the sun came up, the hairy beasts broke off their attack and slipped away. The men packed up their gear and left to find safety down the mountain. There have been other reports of Bigfoot on Mt. St. Helens throughout the years. When the volcano erupted in May of 1980, there were several reports of government cleanup crews retrieving the burned bodies of many Bigfoot and taking them to some undisclosed location. Native Americans in the area, have spoken of "mountain devils" and passed down legends about these creatures. There have even been recent reports of Bigfoot chasing a woman out of her camp site. Ep. 69 - Indrid Cold, The Grinning Man
In November 1966, near Point Pleasant, WV, Woodrow 'Woody' Derenberger witnessed a UFO land in front of his vehicle while driving home from work one night. A door opened from the craft, and a man stepped out. The man was wearing a glistening green uniform, and he had a huge grin on his face. While using telepathy, this man introduced himself as Indrid Cold, that Woody had nothing to fear and then proceeded to ask Woody several questions. After their encounter, he told Woody that he would return, and then left in his ship. One month earlier, two boys were walking home in Elizabeth, NJ, when they noticed a tall man standing behind a fence near them. He had no hair, ears or nose, was wearing shiny green coveralls, and when he turned around, they saw that he had a huge grin on his face. The boys ran away before they could interact with the strange man. On the same night, many people witnessed a blazing white light, as big as a car, move on a slow arc across the sky. Ep. 68 - Summerwind Mansion
Summerwind Mansion, considered Wisconsin's most haunted house, is located on the shores of West Bay Lake. When it was purchased by the Lamont's in 1916, the maids informed them that it was haunted, and even though they experienced weird and unexplained things throughout the years, it wasn't until the mid-1930's that the family's feelings changed. That day, they were at the dinner table when the basement door flew open and the apparition of a man appeared. Lamont fired his pistol twice at the spirit, but the bullets traveled through the specter and lodged into the wall. The family promptly fled the home. Throughout the years, multiple families owned the home, and they each experienced paranormal activity. Strange sounds and voices could be heard, tools would go missing, windows would open and close on their own, and on several occasions apparitions would be witnessed. On June 19, 1988, the mansion was struck by lightning and burned to the ground. All that remains, is the stone chimney and the foundation, but people still believe that something still haunts the area. Who or what haunts this home? Ep. 67 - Villisca Axe Murder House
On June 10th, 1912, two adults and six children were found brutally bludgeoned to death by an ax in Villisca, Iowa. Because all of the victims were found in their bed, it is thought that the murderer waited in the attic for everyone to fall asleep before going room by room, killing them all. From the start, the crime scene was compromised when over 100 friends and neighbors came to gawk at the dead bodies, and the few suspects that they had, all had alibis to corroborate their whereabouts. This crime remains unsolved. People feel a real heaviness while in the house, and have seen apparitions and shadows, heard disembodied footsteps, and experienced things moving and falling on their own. At 2 AM, a train passes through the town of Villisca and the sound of its whistle is thought to trigger the residual events of the murder. Many people have noticed a light fog fill up the bedrooms just after the whistle and once it dissipates the sound of dripping blood can be heard. Numerous psychics have determined that the house if being haunted by the spirits of the murder victims, while others have felt that there is an evil presence in this house. Ep. 66 - The Montauk Project
On the eastern tip of Long Island, NY, lies rumors of a hidden underground government base that is home to horrifying genetic meddling, time travel, and mind control experiments, all of which have become known as the Montauk Project. This base, established as Camp Hero, was used as coastal defense, but was shut down in 1984, where it was sold to the state of New York and eventually became part of a state park. But the belief is that the Montauk Project never completely ended and continues on to this day. Most of the experiments that took place at Camp Hero were on young boys who were kidnapped off the streets, and made to manipulate reality, create objects out of thin air, or construct portals. The strongest psychic kid they had access to was Duncan Cameron, who was able to use a special chair created with alien technology to open other dimensions and manipulate time. According to some, he fell asleep during one of these experiments, and his nightmare manifested a large, Bigfoot-like creature that ended up destroying everything. Ep. 65 - Wendigo
The Wendigo is a cannibalistic spirit that closely resembles a zombie. The best known way to become a Wendigo is by eating another human being, even when done out of necessity for survival. It appears to be gaunt, with its skin stretched tight across its bones, has massive, sunken eyes, and very sharp claws. There are some reports that say it is missing its lips and toes, while others report that it has the head of a deer. The Wendigo is a cold weather creature and a near-perfect hunter and has been reported to have the ability to mimic human voices which it uses to lure people into its territory. The Wendigo can be traced to Algonquian Native American folklore where the first Wendigo is said to be a warrior who made a deal with the Devil. In order to save his tribe, he gave up his soul and was transformed into the creature. Once the tribe found peace, he was banished from his tribe and forced to live as an outcast. In the last century there have been reports of many people who have become a Wendigo and even one of a Wendigo hunter. What roams up in the cold north? Ep. 64 - Robert the Doll
Robert the Doll is a life-size, century old doll that is stuffed with wood wool, wearing a sailor outfit, and carrying his own toy dog. He has buttons for eyes, wears a malevolent smirk and is covered in nicks, similar to scars. He was given to a young Robert Eugene 'Gene" Otto by his grandfather when he was a small boy, but some believe that he was a gift from a nanny who was mistreated by the family. She practiced voodoo & imbued the doll with her magic. Robert the Doll has been known to move positions in a room, change his facial expressions, & make giggling sounds. Now a resident of the East Martello Museum in Key West, FL, cameras will malfunction & other electronic equipment will go haywire when in his presence. Visitors of the museum believe that he is responsible for any misfortune that befalls them because they were disrespectful to him. What or whom is haunting this creepy doll? Ep. 63 - Dulce Base
Dulce Base is a secret jointly-operated human and alien underground facility located beneath the Archuleta Mesa on the Colorado and New Mexico border. It is a seven story compound that houses animal, human and alien hybrids, extremely advanced technologies, and experiments such as mind control and cross breeding are performed there. The first three levels are mainly inhabited by humans, while the rest of the complex is alien controlled. The area has been plagued with cattle mutilations since the 70's, and in 1975, a hybrid fetus was found in the body of a dead cow that appeared to be a cross between a human, monkey and frog. A group of Dulce personnel uncovered the truth of the experimentation in the facility which resulted in a confrontation between humans and aliens at the base that left multiple causalities on both sides. Ep. 62 - Sheepsquatch
The sheepsquatch, also known as the "White Thing", is a quadruped creature about the size of a bear with white wool-like fur that roams the Appalachian mountains, primarily the southwestern region of West Virginia. It has a long pointed head, similar to a dog, long, saber-like teeth, and ram-like horns. Unlike many other cryptids, its tail is long and hairless like that of an opossum. When it is near, it emits an odor similar to sulfur. The first official sighting of the sheepsquatch was in 1994 when a man witnessed it come out of the brush and drink for several minutes from a nearby creek before moving off into the surrounding woods. A year later, a couple were driving when they noticed it on the side of the road. After stopping to get a better look, it charged their car, and began to slash and bang the door, leaving large scratches in its wake. What is the sheepsquatch? Ep. 61 - Flatwoods Monster
On September 12, 1952 at 7:15 P.M., in the small town of Flatwoods, WV, three young boys saw a bright object cross the sky and land in a nearby farmer's property. They immediately went to investigate, along with several other children, a dog, and an adult. After climbing a hill, they came across a large pulsating ball of fire, detected a pungent mist that burned their eyes and nose, and heard a steady metallic whining noise. It was at that point that they took notice of a large creature. It stood approximately 10-12 feet, had a dark black or green body, and it's face was red and shaped like an ace of spades. The creature emitted a shrill hissing noise before gliding towards them, abruptly changing direction, and then heading off towards the red light. The group fled in a panic to one of their homes and contacted the local sheriff. Authorities were unable to uncover any physical evidence of this incident, but over the next several days, the witnesses were overcome with sickness, having symptoms similar to exposure to mustard gas. The official explanation involved meteors, a barn owl, and hysteria. What was the Flatwoods Monster? Was it an alien? What made everyone get so ill? Schwarzwald, known as the Black Forest, is a large forested mountain range in southwest Germany. It is roughly oblong in shape and is 160 km (99 mi) long and 66 km (41 mi) wide. It is a very dense, dark and atmospheric place, which is why many legends about witches, dwarfs and werewolves have been born there and passed along through the generations. Many famous German tales are believed to be set there, including the famous stories of Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. There are tales about werewolves, apparitions, water nymphs and a very tall man with several arms, called Der Grossman, who compels children to enter the forest, confess their sins, and never leave. Ep. 59 - Tombstone, AZ
Tombstone, Arizona was established in 1879 by prospector Edward Schieffelin after he discovered silver ore in the surrounding area. Within a few years, the town grew immensely, but so did the tension between the the ranchers, cowboys and lawmen. Because of this, there were many shootouts that resulted in death, possibly causing the town itself to be haunted. Not only do people witness apparitions in the many hotels and saloons of Tombstone, but they have also smelled cigar smoke and whiskey, heard voices, laughter and music, and had lights and faucets turn on and off with no apparent reason. Ep. 58 - MoMo, The Missouri Monster
Momo, the Missouri Monster, is a large, 7 ft tall hairy bipedal creature similar to Bigfoot. He has a large, pumpkin-shaped head, with black hair covering most of his body, which resembles a shag carpet. He is said to have 3 fingers and toes, emits a terrible body odor, and has been known to be aggressive towards other animals. Although sightings of the Missouri Monster have occurred since the mid-1900's, it wasn't until July 1972, that he got a lot of attention. On July 11, 1972, 8 year-old Terry Harrison and his 5 year-old brother, Walley, witnessed a creature walk out of the woods of their property carrying a bloody dog it the crook of its arm. Ep. 57 - Kentucky Goblins and Aliens
On August 21, 1955, a family was besieged for several hours by goblin-like creatures at a remote Hopkinsville, Kentucky farmhouse. The creatures had large, bat-like ears, were bald and 3-4 feet tall, had large, glowing yellow eyes, and had long arms with large claws at the end. The family defended the property by shooting at them for hours, only to have no effect, reportedly hearing metallic clinging noises when the bullets hit their target. Later, police were unable to find any evidence of the creatures, and it was suggested that what the family saw were Great Horned Owls. Almost 60 years later, and on the other side of the state, a man claimed to have experiences with similar creatures on his remote Kentucky property. The creatures had large oily eyes, lipless mouths and were the same height as the Hopkinsville creatures, but they seemed to communicate with each other via a chirping noise. He believed they came from an abandoned mine on his property, where he found many of his missing belongings that had disappeared. What is terrorizing these towns in Kentucky? Ep. 56 - The Mogollon Monster
The Mogollon Monster is a bipedal humanoid creature that is seen along the Mogollon Ridge in central and eastern Arizona. It is known to be over 7 feet tall, have large red eyes, covered in black or reddish hair, and like most Bigfoot-like creatures, has an incredibly strong and pungent odor. It is nocturnal, and can mimic other wildlife, even emitting a whistling sound. They can be very territorial, and have been known to throw rocks at hikers. Sightings of these creatures are reported as going back to the early 1800’s when settlers of the area started having run ins with the monster in the canyons and forests of the region. Local Native Americans within the region have also long told stories about big hairy men who lived within the forests and canyons. They even have a few legends where a rival stole a chief's wife, so he had the medicine man transform the thief into this creature, where still roams the area. Ep. 55 - The Bunny Man
The Bunny Man is an urban legend originating in the Fairfax County, Virginia area, mostly around Colchester Overpass, a.k.a. the Bunny Man Bridge, where a man dressed in a rabbit costume attacks people with a hatchet or axe. It is said that if you say "the bunny man" three times at midnight on Halloween while under the bridge, he will appear. The story emanates from an escaped mental asylum patient in 1904 who was on the run in the area. He murdered rabbits, leaving their partially eaten bodies hanging from trees in the area, and eventually murdered a fellow patient. When the authorities discovered him, he ran in front of a train and was killed. After the train passed, the police officers could hear laughter coming from nowhere. Is the Bunny Man the ghost of a dead asylum patient, forever haunting the Colchester Overpass where he died? Ep. 54 - Matthias Schaumboch, America's Unofficial First Serial Killer
Hawk Mountain is located in central-eastern Pennsylvania near Allentown and is known for a wild bird sanctuary. What it is less known for is the story of Matthias Schaumboch, America's unofficial first serial killer. On his deathbed, he confessed to the murder of 11 people, all weary travelers that would stop at this tavern for the night, but would never check out. He would peddle their belongings after he murdered them, and even reportedly ground them up for sausages for the next guests that arrived. In his deathbed confession, he claimed that an evil spirit on the mountain whispered to him day and night, encouraging him to act on murderous impulses. Many believe that Matthias' ghost still haunts the area, and people have heard voices and seen phantom lights in the hills. Full body apparitions have even been spotted. The Min Min lights are an unusual light phenomenon, named after a settlement of the same name in the Australian outback where they were observed in 1918. They are described as glowing football-shaped orbs that can grow in size, get brighter or dimmer, change colors, can multiply, and they appear to follow or approach travelers. Legend says that anyone who chases the lights and catches them, will never return. Stories about the lights can be found in Aboriginal myths, where they believed they were the spirits of their ancestors who are unable to rest because they felt the injustice of their murders. The Aborigines feared the lights, and believed they could take someone's life. Ep. 51 - Werewolves in England
On episode 51, we discuss some recent sightings of werewolves in England. Witness descriptions tell of a 7 foot tall wolf-like beast, covered in hair, that sometimes has a human face with a wolf body or has human legs with a wolf head. Truly a creepy beast to behold! Near the town of Hull, a werewolf with the nickname of Old Stinker is known to prowl the area. Old Stinker is said to be formidably tall with a long, powerful tail, blood-red eyes, and is known for his atrocious breath, which he gets from eating corpses. An area that has numerous sightings is Cannock Chase, and according to local legend, it all began in 1975 with a teenager trading his soul to the Devil for the power to turn into a werewolf. Ep. 50 - The Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident
In late December 1980, a series of reported UFO sightings and unexplained lights occurred in the Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England. Because of the amount of credible witnesses, and the wide variety of supporting evidence, including a real-time tape recording on one of the nights, the Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident is considered to be Britain's Roswell. On December 26th, three men left the Woodbridge USAF base that skirted the Rendlesham Forest to investigate a possible downed plane, but found a much more curious sight before them. Staff Sergeant Jim Penniston found a black triangle-shaped large object that had landed in the forest and was able to take photos and notes on it, before actually touching it! On the second night, the lights returned, and the Base Deputy Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt, went out with some men with the express aim of debunking the whole thing. He captured an audio tape of what him and his men witnessed that night. The government chalked these two nights up to seeing lights from a nearby lighthouse, but between the object caught on radar, the 10x higher than normal radiation readings at the landing sight, the Halt recording and the numerous military witnesses, this couldn't possibly be. Ep. 49 - Loftus Hall, Ireland
Loftus Hall is a large country manor on the Hook peninsula, of County Wexford, Ireland. It is said by many to be haunted by the devil and the ghost of a young woman. This stems from the legend of Anne Tottenham in 1666 who fell in love with a stranger who came to their home one stormy night. He ended up staying for a few weeks and one night during a card game, Anne bent over to pick up a misplaced card and witnessed the stranger had cloven feet! She screamed loudly, causing the stranger to expose himself as the devil. He transformed into a ball of fire and shot up through the roof, leaving Anne in a state of trauma from which she never recovered. Visitors to Loftus Hall have experienced significant temperature drops, heard voices from unseen sources, felt tugging or pushing, and even seen full body apparitions. Many have felt that the manor is full of dark energy where sometimes you feel intense sadness. The full body apparitions are of a young woman in stiff brocaded silk whom many believe is the ghost of Lady Anne Tottenham, forever doomed to roam the halls. Does the devil haunt this home? Ep. 48 - The Haunting of Rona Lee
On this episode we talked to Rona who has experienced many paranormal things in her haunted home. When she first purchased this house, most of the things that happened at that time were to her son, but it wasn't until he left for boot camp in 2005 that things really picked up. Doors would open and close on their own, tv's would randomly get turned on, a rocking chair would get moved around, and the chimes on her clock would go off even though it hadn't been wound up. One particular instance that unnerved her, was when she found her dog growling in the basement staring up at a corner of the ceiling. Because of what she has experienced, she believes that, just like the living, ghosts have different personalities. Some are helpful, benevolent spirits, and some can be really annoying. She has even been able to provide her paranormal insight for others. We also play a few of her EVP's that she has been able to capture in her home. They are really interesting, and you will even pick up a few children's voices! Ep. 47 - Bigfoot's Little Bro and a Demon Named Blue
On this episode we discuss the elusive Albatwitch, Pennsylvania's little Bigfoot! The Albatwitch is a small, slender 4'-5' tall cryptid that is a native to the Chickies Rock area of central Pennsylvania. It is an ape-like creature with reddish-brown hair that is thought to live in the trees, only coming down for food. What food, you might ask? The Albatwitch is known for stealing apples from unsuspecting picnickers, and when finished, throwing the cores back at them! We also talk about our time at Albatwitch Day, a festival in Columbia, PA devoted to the creature, and tell some listener submitted stories all about ghosts and demons! Ep. 46 - Paranormal Investigation of the Jennie Wade Death House in Gettysburg, PA
Jennie Wade was the only direct civilian casualty of the Battle of Gettysburg, when she was hit by a stray bullet on the morning of July 3, 1863. She, her mother & two younger brothers made their way to her sister Georgia's home at 528 Baltimore Street to assist her with her newborn baby. Unfortunately, the house stood between both armies, and during the first day of fighting, it was hit by over 150 bullets. Jennie & her mother began the task of providing bread, water & medical care to the Union soldiers located not far from the house. On July 3, 1863, at 8:00 A.M., Jennie was in the kitchen kneading some bread for the soldiers when a Minie' ball traveled through 2 doors, & hit her. She was killed instantly. Ep. 45 - The Bridgewater Triangle
On this episode, we delve into the Bridgewater Triangle, a 200 square mile area in southeastern Massachusetts, that is known to have a huge range of paranormal phenomenon. From UFO's, ghosts, orbs, and other spectral phenomenon, to bigfoot, giant snakes, thunderbirds, & the "little wild man of the woods", the Pukwudgie, this area is filled to the brim with the weird and unexplainable. This area's paranormal anomalies seem to stem from the tragic Native Americans history in the area. From 1675 to 1676, King Philip's War took a bloody & deadly toll on the land, and only ended when Chief Metacom - a.k.a. King Philip - surrendered & was beheaded at Anawan Rock. Many believe that the rock is haunted by the angry spirits of Anawan's warriors, some seeing & smelling smoke in the area as well as hearing shouting in a Native American language. Ep. 44 - The Day I Met Bigfoot
On this episode, we talk to Craig Durham, the author of "The Day I Met Bigfoot", which is his true account of the day he and a friend set out on a seemingly normal mountain-bike ride into the deep forest of the Pacific-Northwest, and unexpectedly came into contact with Bigfoot! This encounter is unlike no other and for more then a few hours the two friends followed and interacted with Bigfoot, until they all heard a loud crashing noise coming from the forest. Both the men, and Bigfoot, frantically ran in different directions from the noise, which led the friends to get lost in an unknown environment. After several days of wandering, the friends eventually were able to find their way out to safety, but both would never forget the experience they had. Ep. 43 - Lemp Mansion
The Lemp Mansion, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is a paranormal hot spot where several members of the Lemp family have committed suicide, and are said to haunt the grounds. The family's brewing company dominated the St. Louis beer market before Prohibition with its Falstaff beer brand. Johann "Adam" Lemp arrived in the United States in 1836 from Germany & originally had a grocery store where he sold his own beer & vinegar, and by 1840, he focused solely on the manufacture & sale of his beer, forming Western Brewery. The business prospered, and when a large storage space became necessary, a cave in south St. Louis was used for this purpose as it provided natural refrigeration. The cave was below the current locations of the Lemp Mansion and the Lemp Brewery. Today, the Lemp Mansion is a restaurant & Inn, where the staff & visitors have reported several strange experiences. Apparitions have been seen, unseen voices & sounds will be heard, and glasses will lift off the bar & fly through the air. The sound of footsteps and pounding on one of the bedroom doors have been experienced. People have seen the face of a boy peeking out from the upstairs window, & many believe that to be the illegitimate son of one of the Kemp sons. Is this location haunted by the Lemp family?
