Kelsey John is a Father, Council member for Chawathil First Nation, Homeless Outreach Worker, and community leader.

Kelsey John has grown up on Chawathil First Nation in Hope, BC. Kelsey John became a Councillor for Chawathil First Nation in their last election. He is the primary portfolio holder for Community Family Services, Health and Education. As a Homeless Outreach Worker, Kelsey connects clients with community resources and housing resources. As a community leader he encourages community development dialogue and growth.

Living on-reserve was a vastly different experience which Kelsey discusses. In this conversation we talk about Indian Residential School, trauma, Colonialism, 60s scoop, Chawathil First Nation, indigenous politics, and resilience.
