FACT - Emotional pain is, in my experience, one of the worst forms of pain there is. It’s not like in the gym where you feel amazing a few seconds after the burn from a solid set goes away. Emotional pain lingers, and if we’re not careful, it can turn into emotional injuries and emotional scars that last for years or even a lifetime.
As with physical pain, if we ignore it long enough it soon turns into an injury. Emotional pain is no different. When we ignore it or refuse to treat it, it soon turns into suffering, which is a lot harder to recover from.
