I know that a lot of other comedians wouldn't understand why I would make the decisions I've made but I think it's important for people to know that I manifested all of this. It's exactly what I wanted and it's exactly what I hoped it would be. I needed to be away from everyone and I needed to just work on me. I'm not getting any younger and I want to become the person I want to be and eventually become the person that I want to marry so I can attract the person I want to marry. Not everyone has to understand it but it's not by accident. Also gonna address that slander that was being posted about me and my dogs.

People stay mad about the same things forever, never really looking for how they can improve or what their contribution might have been. Instead most things for most people are about shifting blame. It's OK to Say No to Toxic People in 2022
I just want to make sure everybody know it's OK to say no to toxic people in 2022. Toxic people will try to make you feel like you're doing something wrong by putting a boundary down. They'll also try to make you feel like you're victimizing them by not forgiving them. But it is 100% OK to just cut them out completely and don't let anybody tell you different. Early on Resolutions
Today on Instagram I talked a bit about what I want to do with my body but this isn't 100% about that. The truth is I know that all the way around I need to do more and be more productive. I'm going to work on all of it and I will make it happen. See, most people want to wait until January 1st to get started on resolutions but I intend to start mine early and today was day 2. Tomorrow I will be releasing an episode of Unbothered and we will keep it rolling from there. On this episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera I talk about the conversation I had on the phone with comedian Alex Elkin about last week's episode. I don't think Alex is a bad guy but I definitely think he has bit of a blind spot. I also talk about the responsibility that I think some of us have as comedians to not only speak but also to listen. Diaz Mackie "The Accused" ~ Unbothered by Thai Rivera
This episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera may BOTHER some people but I have known Diaz Mackie for many years. I can't say I remember exactly what year he was accused in but the accusations never fully added up for me. Since then he has been in jail, served 2.5 years probation, been removed from shows and festivals and had his life turned upside down. If I thought he deserved it, if I thought he was guilty I would not have had him on my podcast. But I definitely did have questions for him and I'm honest with him on this episode about what didn't add up for me. We recorded this episode about 2 weeks ago on the day that Derek Chauvin was found guilty. I mention this because I think it says something about people that they will march in the streets because they admit that the criminal justice system isn't always fair with Black men specifically/especially but then when they see a Black man going through the system before their own eyes there's no compassion, sympathy, empathy or even benefit of the doubt. Anyway, like I've already said, I had questions that I wanted answers so, in a sense, I used Diaz to help me get unbothered and I think he got unbothered too. So I guess you could say we used each other and my podcast to get unbothered. The LATEST EPISODE of Unbothered by Thai Rivera was recorded yesterday (December 1, 2020) which was the 50th anniversary of Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat. I'm not 100% happy with the way it came out because I think I got away from talking about the White queens that want LGBTQ people of color to stay in the back of the bus where we can't be heard. I also went into Trans activism and the people that think they're the deciders of what is and isn't acceptable, who also usually end up being White. Overall, I think I made my point and am posting it because I think I bring up a lot of stuff we as a community, if that's really what we are, need to address eventually. My guest this episode is Matt Claybrooks. He's written for The Oscars, The BET Awards, Chris Rock and a BUNCH of other stuff. He's a comic I've known since I first started. He's funny has HIS OWN point of view and we talk about BLM, "rape" and a bunch of other stuff. PS I caught myself in a bit of a mistruth after ep 5.
