Surely there was never such a marketplace as the Fair of the Golden Bear! Everything in the world was there to be bought and sold. At one booth a venerable man in a scholar’s gown and velvet cap sold words—rare words, rich words, strange words, beautiful words, and drove a brisk trade with a crowd of poets and lovers; at another, an old woman in green sold rosy glasses to those who were at outs with the world; and at still another a joyous fellow in blue offered sunbeams, which he had caught in a mirror and imprisoned in bits of magic glass. Next to his house was a piece of broken board which had: "TRESPASSERS W" on it. When Christopher Robin asked the Piglet what it meant, he said it was his grandfather's name and had been in the family for a long time, Christopher Robin said you_couldn't_ be called Trespassers W, and Piglet said yes, you could, because his grandfather was, and it was short for Trespassers Will, which was short for Trespassers William. And his grandfather had had two names in case he lost one--Trespassers after an uncle, and William after Trespassers. On tonight's episode, I read a funny good news story about a man who became homesick and decided to ship himself in a crate from Australia to Wales only to end up in Las Angeles California. Then we have tonight's story called Glinda of Oz Peace, prosperity, and happiness are the rule in the marvelous Land of Oz, but in a faraway corner of this magical domain dwell two tribes--the Flatheads and the Skeezers--who have declared war on each other. Determined to keep her subjects from fighting, the Ruler of Oz, Princess Ozma, along with her dearest friend, Princess Dorothy Gale (formerly of Kansas), embarks on a quest to restore peace. When the Supreme Dictator of the Flatheads refuses to cooperate with Ozma, she and Dorothy seek out Queen Coo-ee-oh of the Skeezers, hoping she will be more reasonable. But the queen imprisons Ozma and Dorothy in her grand city and then traps them by submerging the whole city underwater. Now it is up to Glinda the Good to save the day. Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard brings Holmes a mysterious problem about a man who shatters plaster busts of Napoleon. One was shattered in Morse Hudson's shop, and two others, sold by Hudson to a Dr. Barnicot, were smashed after the doctor's house and branch office had been burgled. Nothing else was taken. On tonight's episode, I read a good news story about an adorable horse that has been walking the streets by herself for 10 years. Then go into tonight's story. Tonight's story is called The Sword Of Welleran and this is one of the stories and writers that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien who you probably know from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.The Sword of Welleran", is perhaps one of my favorite fantasy short stories. It concerns the invasion of the people of idyllic Merimna, who have no desire or knowledge of battle, though the city was once home to the greatest heroes in the land, and how the people of this city are saved from invasion. Instantly this story drew me into another world through Dunsany's simply elegant storytelling. I could envision the city of Merimna and all of its monuments (being described somewhat like a fantastic Greek or Roman city) perfectly as Dunsany must have dreamed them and not a word is wasted. “Will you come with me, sweet Reader? The Soul Cages (Irish Folktale).
On tonight's episode, I read "The Soul Cages" (Irish Folktale) The tale is set in Dunbeg Bay County Clare. Jack Dogherty was a fisherman who also scavenged goods by occasional beachcombing. He long yearned to meet a merrow (mermaid), as his father and grandfather had done before. He finally got a glimpse of a male merrow, then discovered he could regularly observe the creature at Merrow's rock on windy days. One such day he was driven to seek refuge in a cave, and came face-to-face with the merrow, who called himself Coomara (meaning "sea-dog"). It had green hair and teeth, a red nose, scaly legs, a fish-tail, and stubby fin-like arms. They spoke at length about their abilities for drinking alcohol and their cellars, and how they both scavenged bottles from shipwrecks. "The Landscape Garden" - Edgar Allan Poe.

On tonight's episode, I read a good news story about a possible cure for Diabetes and then we get to tonight's story called The LandScape Garden by Edgar Allen Poe. This isn't like Poe's usual creepy horror stories what is important is the emphasis on the pursuit of happiness under certain unusual immaterial conditions (the landscape interventions), and the discussion of how a man can affect the landscape design throughout scales, even with a minimalist contribution. Kind of like a butterfly effect and he talks about his four conditions to make a person happy. The main character is Mr. Ellison and he's wealthy, good-looking, has a beautiful wife, and is hung like an elephant's trunk to the point that women feed it peanuts for foreplay. The Kith of The Elf Folk.
Hello everyone welcome to Nox Bedtime Stories I'm your friend Joey here with another story to help you relax, feel safe, and fall asleep. Tonight's story is called The Kith of the Elf Folk. The Kith of The Elf folk or Wild Things are somewhat human in appearance, only all brown of skin and barely two feet high. Their ears are pointed like the squirrel's, only far larger, and they leap to prodigious heights. They live all day under deep pools in the loneliest marshes, but at night they come up and dance. Each Wild Thing has over its head a marsh-light, which moves as the Wild Thing moves; they have no souls, and cannot die, and are of the kith of the Elf-folk.
