Based on Hebrews 11:13-16, “The Trophy I Seek” challenges listeners of Pneuma Podcast to consider what trophy they are truly seeking , earthly rewards or an eternal crown. The key text shows how faith heroes pursued a heavenly vision, not earthly gain. Paul, in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, fixed his eyes on the "crown of righteousness," urging believers in Jesus Christ to fight to finish, so that in the end we would hear Christ say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21). This is a clarion call: reject fleeting trophies, run the race with endurance, and live for the only reward that lasts, God’s eternal approval . Run for the crown! It is my prayer that this message blesses you. Shalom! Based on Matthew 10:11-14, 'Change of Scenery: A Path to Positive Growth' is a reflection on how challenging life can be especially when you are in a hostile environment. "Searching and Finding the Lost Part of Yourself Along Life’s Pathway," draws from Luke 15:1-10, where Jesus speaks of a shepherd who loses a sheep and a woman who loses a coin. These parables mirror the personal losses we experience in life. Whether it's our faith, hope, or sense of self, we all lose parts of ourselves along the way. But, like the shepherd and the woman, we are called to search for and reclaim those lost parts, with the hope of finding wholeness and redemption in Christ. Based on Exodus 2:11-15, ‘Redeem, Repurpose, and Renew’ call on listeners of Pneuma Podcast to reflect and learn from the story of Moses. The story resonates deeply with many of us today. We too have made choices in the heat of the moment, choices that have had overpowering consequences. We have found ourselves in situations where we wished we could turn back time, undo our mistakes, and start afresh. Yet, just as in Moses' story, these moments of adversity can be the test in which character is fashioned. Moses' story is a powerful reminder that our past does not define our future. God's grace is sufficient to redeem, repurpose, and renew us. No matter where we find ourselves today, whether in a place of regret, isolation, or uncertainty, we can take heart knowing that God has not abandoned us. He is with us, ready to guide us toward a future filled with hope and purpose. Based on John 20:24-29 "Faith Beyond Doubt," explores the enduring struggle with doubt, drawing from the account of Thomas in John 20:24-29. Thomas's demand for tangible proof mirrors our own yearning for certainty amidst uncertainty. However, Jesus meets doubt with grace, offering evidence to Thomas while blessing those who believe without seeing. Faith, we learn, transcends empirical evidence, requiring trust in the unseen. Despite doubts, we're encouraged to bring them to God, seek community, and fix our gaze on Christ. Through this journey, we cultivate a faith that moves beyond doubt, embracing the hope of the resurrection. It is my prayer today that this message blesses you. Based on Romans 7:19-25 "Overcoming Yourself: A Journey of Surrender to God." Calls believers in Jesus Christ to introspect. In our key text today , Paul eloquently portrays the inner conflict between our desires for goodness and our selfish inclinations. Like Paul, we grapple with this struggle daily. Despite our best intentions, self-reliance creeps in, hindering our spiritual journey. Reflecting on my own faith, I've realised that self often stands as my greatest obstacle. But through self-discovery and surrender, we find liberation. Just as Peter struggled with self-trust, we too face similar battles. Yet, there is hope in surrendering to God's will. This is the message today and it is my prayer that this message blesses you wherever you are on your journey of faith. Shalom! Based on 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 the Way of the Cross invites listeners to reflect on the timeless truths found in that passage. As we approach the Easter season, we're drawn to the central event of our faith: the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this passage, the apostle Paul challenges us to reconsider the significance of the cross because to the unbelieving the message of the Cross is Foolish and Scandalous, however, to believers in Jesus Christ the message of the cross is Powerful. So much so that in its apparent weakness, we find God's ultimate strength and love. As you listen to this message I encourage you to embrace "The Way of the Cross" this Easter season, living lives marked by humility, sacrificial love, and the proclamation of salvation. Based on 2 Kings 7:3-10, It's Not Right to Keep it to Yourself! reminds believers in Christ Jesus of the urgency to share the Gospel. As children of God, there's much we do or don't do that isn't right, prompting a critical question: What is our core purpose as Christians? While events might have diverted our attention, our primary call is to spread the Good News. A compelling story from 2 Kings 7:3-10 highlights the plight of outcast lepers, shunned by society. Their narrative parallels the struggles of anyone who's felt rejected or ostracised by those they love. The lepers, facing death, made a bold choice, saying, "What do we have to lose?" Their courageous move led to an incredible discovery. Ultimately, they declared, "It is not right to Keep it to ourselves!" This statement resonates strongly: it's not right to withhold the blessings of God or keep the Gospel to yourself. Your life has a divine purpose, and it's time to share the good news with the world. I pray that this message richly blesses you. Shalom! Credit: Portraits of Hope: Carry Me (Instrumental) Unknown: Go and tell everyone. Based on Luke 18:9-14,“A Call to Humility” highlights the contrast between self-righteousness and humility. It accentuates that true justification before God arises from acknowledging our own sinfulness and reliance on His mercy, not from self-righteous deeds. The parable exemplifies how self-righteousness leads to judgment and pride, while humility, like that of the tax collector, brings acceptance by God. Christians are encouraged to break free from self-righteousness, understanding that we all need God's grace. This message, therefore, emphasises the importance of emulating Christ's love and compassion and being a beacon of grace. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Based on Luke 7:36-39 , the "Audacity of the Broken Woman", tells a story of a remarkable encounter between Jesus, a Pharisee named Simon, and an uninvited, nameless prostitute. Based on Titus 2:11-14 "My Gate, My Watch," highlights the need for believers in Christ to be gatekeepers of their hearts and minds. In the contemporary world, where adverse influences infiltrate our homes, schools, workplaces, and thoughts through various channels, it becomes essential to embrace the "My Gate, My Watch" principle. This principle signifies that every believer is individually responsible as a gatekeeper from the moment they profess faith in Christ. Based on Genesis 1:26-31, "So, God Created Man in His own Image" encourages listeners to reconsider whether they unintentionally prioritize material possessions over their Creator and the primary purpose of their existence. This podcast examines how people have reversed this sequence, drawing parallels with the story in Exodus 32:1, where impatience led to the crafting of a golden calf. In contemporary times, some individuals venerate material wealth, leaders, or distorted religious teachings, such as the prosperity gospel, which diverts believers from the correct path of life. Lastly, it is crucial to remember that God fashioned humanity in His image, not the other way around. Therefore, we should refrain from creating deities in our likeness and instead give precedence to devotion to the one true Creator, God. It is my prayer that this message blesses you. Shalom! Based on 1 Samuel 17: 38-52 “Face to Face with Goliath” brings to listeners timeless lesson from David's Encounter with Goliath." Whether you're a devout Christian or simply familiar with biblical tales, the story of David and Goliath resonates with many. In fact, "Goliath" has become synonymous with the concept of a formidable opponent. This narrative not only captivates but also imparts profound insights as one of the Bible's most remarkable victories. Despite his youth, David's trust in God eclipses any reliance on unfamiliar armour. Departing from Saul's camp, he approaches Goliath armed with five smooth stones. As Goliath mocks him, David proclaims his trust in the God of Israel and defeats the giant with a single stone. This narrative holds invaluable lessons for confronting our personal "giants." Though we may not encounter physical Goliaths, we face our own formidable challenges. The "David principle" guides us: recognising God's nature, embracing our identity as His children, and wholly relying on His strength. It is my prayer that this message would bless you. Shalom! Based on Acts 20:25-38, "The Reflection of Mortality: Embracing Legacy, Encouragement, and Hope," serves as an introspective exploration of mortality, intended to prompt contemplation about life's purpose as children of God. As we progress towards eternity with Christ, our awareness of the significance of each passing moment is heightened. This engagement with mortality urges us to reconsider our priorities, channelling our investments towards enduring treasures. The resolute commitment of Paul to God's intentions and the steadfast faith of Joel serves as vivid examples to us. In our contemplation of mortality, we pay attention to Paul's call to remain vigilant, nurturing the faith of others. In a manner akin to followers of Christ. Our legacy transcends mere worldly accomplishments, encompassing the nurturing of souls. As we navigate this journey, let the heritage of our predecessors chart our path. The imprints left by Paul's footsteps and Joel's unyielding faith inspire purpose-driven existence. It is my prayer that our lives, resonating with God's love, evoke a similar response in others. While their true identity may remain concealed, the future promises to reveal the glory they share with Christ. Through this union, believers discover unity and experience transformation as they strive to become more like Him. Based on Luke 19:1-10 “Leave your ugly past to Jesus Christ” invites listeners to explore the transformative power of surrendering our past to Jesus Christ. Our burdens of mistakes, regrets, and wrongdoings can weigh heavily on us, causing guilt and shame. However, Jesus offers us a way out of this burden. Through the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10, we witness a remarkable turnaround in his life. Zacchaeus, despised as a tax collector, was desperate for change. Zacchaeus demonstrated his longing for transformation. Jesus recognised his potential and called him by name. By understanding the principle of faith and embracing our new identity in Christ, we can leave our past behind no matter how ugly. Though it may always be there, it doesn't define us. Trusting in God's power to transform, we can embark on a new future filled with His grace and redemption. I pray that this Podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on John 10:10-15 “Living Without the Box" invites listeners to break free from limitations and embrace a life of true freedom. We often find ourselves surrounded by symbolic boxes that represent the restrictions in our lives. However, through Jesus Christ, we can overcome these limitations and experience a life that is full and abundant. Jesus wants us to release the grip of fear, doubt, and self-imposed boundaries. To live without the box, we need to renew our minds and align our thoughts with God's truth. This transformation goes beyond surface-level changes and requires us to align our lives with God's purposes, trust His wisdom, and remain open to new experiences. As we embark on this faith journey, living without the box, may we encounter the abundant life that Jesus promised. May this message bring you blessings and comfort as you embrace true freedom. Based on Mark 4:36-41 "Far into the Journey" calls on believers to contemplate the difficulties and obstacles that arise in the lives of followers of Jesus Christ. The story of Jesus calming the storm serves as an illustration, emphasising that even in the midst of our storms, Jesus is present, even if His silence or seeming unawareness may lead us to think otherwise. These challenges should not be viewed as a reflection of God's lack of love for us; rather, they provide opportunities for our faith in Jesus Christ to grow. It is important to remember that Jesus is always with us. My prayer is that this podcast brings you some encouragement and hope, keep on trusting Him regardless of the circumstances you encounter. Based on Proverbs 16:14-18 "What Are You Proud Of?" explores the nature and consequences of pride. It warns believers on the danger of the inflated sense of self-worth that pride creates and how it blinds people to their own weaknesses. The podcast calls on listeners to consider the importance of humility and recognising that our accomplishments are gifts from God. It cautions against becoming consumed with personal achievements and neglecting divine guidance. To avoid the pitfall of pride believers must cultivate a proper perspective that values righteousness, wisdom, and compassion over self-promotion. It is my prayer that in listening to this podcast believers will actively reflect on what they are truly proud of and to embrace humility as a guiding principle. Based on 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 the "Blessings Beyond Boundaries" reflects on the story of Jabez. Despite his difficult upbringing and circumstances, Jabez chose not to let his circumstances define who he was. Instead, he, recognised God, called upon God, seeking His blessings, presence, and protection. Jabez's prayer demonstrated his faith and boldness, acknowledging God as the source of all blessings. He entrusted God to decide the nature of his blessings, showing a humble and selfless attitude. In the end, God honoured Jabez's prayer, and attended to his request. This story inspires us to approach God with confidence and trust, knowing that He delights in answering the prayers of His children. We are encouraged to seek God's presence and protection in our own lives, following Jabez's example of living with honour and faith. It is therefore my prayer that this message blesses listeners. Based on Acts 2:1-22 “The Rushing Mighty Wind of Change” is a reflection on Pentecost, highlighting its importance and the meaning. Pentecost is not meant as a mere celebration or speaking in tongues randomly. The purpose of Pentecost was to enable the primary disciples and by extension believers today to become expert witnesses for Jesus Christ and God's mission on this side of eternity. Thus, the purpose of the Rushing Mighty Wind was to equip them in that Upper room with the power to testify effectively. Peter's personal encounter with the Rushing Mighty Wind transformed his life, leading him to become a fisher of men, no longer content with fishing for fish. Peter did not just spoke in an unknown tongue on the day of Pentecost or after Pentecost but went on to testify to others about Jesus Christ. A personal encounter with God is an awe-inspiring experience” it gives you boldness and clarity about your faith in Christ. It is my prayer that this Podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on Hebrews 11:13-16 ‘Staying Focus on life’s highway’ uses the metaphor of driving on a highway to emphasise the importance of believers in Christ Jesus maintaining focus in their journey towards eternity. The podcast references the lane-departure warning system found in modern cars as a helpful tool in staying on the right track. The main encouragement is for believers to stay committed to God's guidance, avoiding distractions, and engaging in self-reflection to ensure they remain on the correct path. The podcast highlights the example of faith heroes mentioned in the key text, who were motivated by the promise of a better country, a heavenly home. Drawing from Luke 10:38-42, the message of "Worried About Many Things" urges those who follow Jesus Christ to entrust their anxieties to God, who can grant them serenity even in trying times. Although worry is a natural aspect of existence, particularly in circumstances such as sickness, bereavement, unemployment, or incarceration, it is crucial for us to cultivate a daily reliance on our Creator. While Martha's concerns were genuine, Jesus emphasized that only one thing was necessary: the presence of God. Based on Mark 1:1-8 ‘The News is still Good’ invites listeners to reflect on the essence of the Gospel and why it is still important to be preached in all its pure form. This is what Paul meant in his letter to the Church in Rome when he said, (Romans 1:16-17) “it’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! God’s way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: “The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives.” As you listen, I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit would rekindle the fire in you. Based on Ephesians 1:5-12, ‘The Essence of the Grace of God’ is a call to reflect on what the Grace of God truly means and how we can rely on its benefit to overcome sin in the world of sin. Grace, from the Christian perspective and theology is defined as the unmerited favour of God that brings about the salvation of sinners, grace influences and activates the regeneration and the sanctification of the sinner so as to keep the sinner conscious of what is sin because of the presence of the grace God.True Christianity is the product of God’s Grace, however, that is not a licence or an insurance to sin. Grace itself means nothing without the presence of sin, and if there is grace and it cannot eradicate sin it is also useless. Based on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ‘Hope in the Darkness of Loss’ is a reflection on remembering our lost loved ones. Some people may still wonder and ask, why should we remember those who have passed? It is important to remember and honour the memories of our loved ones who have gone home. This is because death and dying no matter how we want to avoid the subject is one of the mysteries of this life that every mortal must submit to at some point so long as we are still on this side of eternity. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Paul was eager to demonstrate to the Thessalonian Church what the premises of the we have in Jesus Christ should be, so that if we have this hope it would make a whole lot of difference in how we feel about those who have gone before us. Based on the Gospel of Luke 15:11-32, the ‘Parable of a Father and Two sons’, I am inspired to share with you a succinct insight and the distinctive characters of the three main actors in the metaphor of what is called the prodigal son. This is a story that have been told and retold countless of times, each time the story is told it is told with enthusiasm from different angles and depending on the narrator. It is also a story with a melodramatic composition that though began on a sad note ended in a happy place. The key character as we would see was a person of great flaw of character but was wise enough to retrace his steps back to his father, back to reality. Sad because he jumped the gun and demanded for his share of his father’s estate before it was due him and happy because he realised in time to receive forgiveness and restoration from his father. Based on James 1:1-4 The Value of Tough Times is a theological reflection on the value of tough times. James demanded of his suffering brethren positive mental attitude during difficulties times by being happy. We all know that it is not easy to be happy especially when things go wrong around us and yet this was the attitude James was encouraging. The same apply to us in the twenty-first century, we need also to be in that happiness pedestal and as the Book of (Nehemiah 8: 10b) said “for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” This strength must come from the Lord you serve. Based on 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Living with the Thorn in the Flesh is a reflection on how a truly righteous person can be made deliberately to live with a thorn in the flesh that refuse all solutions. The Apostle Paul who was undoubtedly an upright man, despite all of his moral laurels he was not spared of troubles which he called thorn in the flesh. He was not spared of life’s troubles as would be expected but his assurance was that God’s grace was satisfactory for him. Living with the thorn in the flesh is not the sign of weak faith in God instead it is a sign that you are valued, trusted, and loved by God and He wants to keep you closer to His side both now and eternally. Based on 1 Chronicles 28:1-8, The End of an Era is a theological reflection on the passings of Her Royal Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. It saddened us today as we reflect on the exit of a great woman of virtue, a matriarch and above all Her Royal Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and of the Commonwealth of Nations. I am not oblivious of other people’s opinion of her person or polity but today I crave your indulgence to reflect along with me on the national emotion of the British people and all that held her dear. Based on Numbers 13:25-33 “The Danger of Incorrect Conclusion” is an invitation to reflect on how we see things that happens around us. In this life’s journey, we are bound to come across challenging circumstance, many times with our co-travellers and yet we all see things differently, all the twelve spies in our key text saw the same thing and yet gave consequential conflicting reports. The difference between the Caleb, Joshua and the ten spies was how they processed what they saw which eventually led them to incorrect conclusion. We are to put things in the perspective of God, that is to say, see things as God would have you see by recognising divine intervention within the spectrum to avoid blowing up situations out of proportion. Based John 10:22 “His Voice Makes the Difference “is a reminder of the fact that the success of the Christian walk with God is dependent on the ability to hear and single out the voice of God among the cacophonies of voices. Today many Christians suffer from SPIRITUAL ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER so much so that they are unable to distinguish between the voce of God and other voices. Hearing the voice of God makes all the difference because it brings to the child of God conform, direction and tranquillity of the soul. Based on Genesis 8:1-5 “BUT GOD” calls believers to consider this important phrase in the light of their relationships with God. Today many of God’s people including spiritual leaders are in their own pool of dependencies, ranging from emptiness of the soul, financial problems, health challenges, marriage failures, stress, personal and social security problems to hopelessness resulting from lack of prospects of good things in their lives. However, through this medium, I want to remind listeners that there is this special moment, the moment of BUT GOD, that moment when you know that you are nothing without God, that moment when all that is there is your trust in God, the one who made you. Based on Matthew 27:15-26 “Between Jesus Christ and Jesus Barabbas” calls listeners of this Podcast to reflect on what influences the decisions they make. Are your judgments based on truth or the reality before you. Reality is temporal but truth is eternal, you cannot do anything against the truth but for the truth. Truth is constant in all situations even when it does not seem so. However, for truth to be considered true, it must be measured against falsehood. Was it a coincidence then that Jesus Christ and Jesus Barabbas were paired in crime and in conviction? my resounding response is in the negative. Our God is never taken by surprise because He is the Creator and Master of the Universe, He knows all things. I pray that the Lord God of heaven will bless you as you reflect on this message. Shalom. Based on John 21:1–9 ‘Present in our Distress’ encourages believers to keep trusting in God against all odds. Jesus’ disciples also experience disappointment but rescinded when they discovered that even when in distress the Master of the Universe was with them. You may be staggering from one failure to the other right now or from mistakes you made in the past and wondering if you are good enough for God to care about, listen, (Romans 5:8) said “but God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Circumstances of this world cannot change or limit God’s love for you. He stands by the door of you heart, waiting and watching for you to acknowledge him and renew your relationship with Him. God wants to fill up that emptiness in your life, but you must first take the step to be emptied and recognise the limits of your own self-sufficiency. Miracle begins when the jar is empty. Therefore, contrary to the popularly held misconception Pentecostal is not a denomination or a sect, it is not just speaking in an unknown tongue, it is an experience of the in-filling and the presence of the power of the Holy Ghost, and it is the righteousness of God in the life of the believer in Jesus Christ. Based on Daniel 3:16-28 Glowing in the enemy’s Furnace seek to inspire believers in Christ Jesus to serve God regardless of circumstances. To do that the Child of God must know God, love God, serve God and seek eternal destiny with God. Daniel 3:16-28 presents us an excellent example of people who served God regardless of the benefits they would get from God who made them. The trio, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were of Hebrew origin and held in Babylonian captivity were confronted with a life and death situation and they knew their chances of survival were slim but they had their minds made up to face the consequences of their rebellious action against the authority, they knew they would be thrown into the enemy’s fiery furnace and yet they stood their grounds because they knew their God, they love their God and they served him too and so willing to be with him. Habakkuk 2:1-4 the ‘Divine Calendar: God’s Waiting Room’ is a reminder to God’s children everywhere of the need to recognise God’s Calendar above the material and man - made calendar. God’s calendar and his time is another form of exposing God’s character to those yet to believe in his faithfulness, we must be patient with ourselves, with others and with God. Based on Revelation 2:1-7, ‘The Church Christ Built’ is a reminder of what followers of Jesus Christ are called to be. It is important for believers to know that the church is Christ’s idea, but Christianity isn’t, when the disciples accepted those labels, they had issues with being church first. This is because, once an entity is named it has to have a natural structure that reflects society. The Ephesian church was close to what we can call perfection and yet there is no such thing as perfect church, our perfection is in the Lord because of his unmerited favour towards us. It is my desire and prayer that as you listen to this podcast it would remind you of the Church that Christ built. Shalom! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Based on (1 John 1:1-5) Understanding the Nature and Character of God 2: reminds believers of the importance of not only knowing the nature and the character of God but making the revelation an integral part of the life of the believer in Christ Jesus. The disciples of Jesus Christ did not follow undefined trajectories of truth but a wholesome and undeniable truth that has the propensity to save. Mike further encouraged believers to approach God’s Word with reverence and as a single thread of the salvation narrative. To study God’s nature and character, Jesus Christ must be the principal subject matter because, “…in Christ there is all of God in a human body”. Based on Exodus 15:22-27, Journey Through the Barren Land invites God’s people to embrace God in their difficulty and see the hands of God in it. Each day that we live in this life is like a Journey through the barren land, not in terms of material things as some have it more than others but I am talking about the intangible aspects of life, that which is spiritually inclined, that intrinsic reverential response to something significantly sacred. (Hebrews 11:16) describes the lives of those who walked with God through inestimable difficulties and other life situations. Based on Matthew 27:55-6 ‘Hope in Grief’ invites believers to take a closer look at the circumstances surrounding the sad event of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection so as to understand that no matter how unpalatable a situation might appear, for the child of God there would always be a reason to be hopeful. The women in our key passage today were resilient even in their grieve for Christ, they refused to be intimidated by the soldiers and the authorities, they had hope in their grieve, that was the reason they continued to follow Jesus Christ even in death, they wanted a chance to love him even under difficult situations unlike some of the disciples who went hiding and later fishing for fishes. It is my prayers that your grieves never take you far away from Jesus Christ. Shalom! Based on Luke 23:20-33 What’s on your Calvary Memoir? Is a reflection on Jesus’ personal calvary journal and how believers should mirror their lives on his as well. The journey of our faith surely began at Calvary, if this is the case then from time to time, we must endeavour to continue to pay frequent visit to our Calvary Memoir because that is where we can reflect on and refresh our walk with God in this present time. Based on 2 Samuel 12:1-13 “The importance of Brokenness before the Lord” calls listeners of this podcast to reflect on their own vulnerability as children of the most High God and not to see themselves as those who have reached the zenith of their walk with God. King David learnt the lesson of brokenness through his habitual sin even though he was a man after God’s heart. The Bible is full of stories of individuals who were broken, the difference is the fact that they recognise the importance of brokenness before the Lord. It is my prayer that you too would recognise and understand the importance of brokenness before the Lord in your life. Many the Lord Bless you. Based on 1 John 1:1-5 ‘Understanding the Nature and the Character of God’, invites listeners of Pneuma podcast to reflect on God’s revelation of Himself to those who believes in Him. The preaching and teaching of God’s Word must begin at the beginning. When a good groundwork is laid it gives the builder the confident that the structural integrity of the edifice is assured. All God’s Chasers recorded in the Bible followed this trajectory so must you who is listening to this podcast. The Holy Spirit in the heart of the believer is the custodian trustee of the secret truth of God’s nature and character because it reveals and leads the one who believes in Jesus the Christ into the accurate study and interpretation of the Bible in such a way that it helps the believer in the journey towards God. Based on 2 Kings 6:1-7 ‘The Miracle of Recovery’ is a reflection on the intriguing story of the ‘lost axe’ recovered by miracle. Life can be tough, we lose things that we love such as family members, friends, and jobs; sometimes, we recover them and at other times we don’t. This podcast focuses our thoughts on the miracle of the recovery of things that are important to us even when it seems trivial to others. Tragically, some of us refuse to accept that our axe heads are lost and continue to work and work with the axe handle because we have been taught that that is faith, however, you have got to remember that faith is not a denial of reality, instead it is a positive acceptance that is anchored on God to do what He says He will do. CHRIST the GAME CHANGER, sequel to the podcast ‘A New Adam Emerges’ (30th January 2022) reflects on the theological problem of evil resulting from Adam’s failure. In this Podcast Pastor Mike interrogates Adam’s eventual fall against God’s integrity to sustain His creation. The failure of the first Adam did not happen extemporary, God was aware in His omniscience; the fall conversely orchestrated the entrance of the second Adam who is Jesus Christ the game changer. It is our prayer that as you listen this podcast the Lord God would bless you and lead your path to Jesus Christ going forward. Shalom! Based on Exodus 3:1-6 When the Bush fails to Burn is a reflection on Moses’ encounter with the phenomenal manifestation of God’s presence in the Burning Bush that failed to be consumed. The underlying question in this podcast is this, what if Moses did not step aside to look? Maybe the very act of stepping aside to see the wonder unfolding before him is the real miracle and not the burning bush itself. We have been engineered by contemporary society to know first, that is to understand the science of something ab initio but no! We are not called to know; we are called to trust and to obey. There is a bush burning in each of our lives and throughout our lives as we walk along this well-worn path, there might well be a message for us in it only if we world be attentive enough. Based on the creation narrative (Genesis 1) ‘A New Adam Emerges’ brought to you by Pastor Ufah Mike Aba from Benue State Nigeria, reflects on the purpose of God in creating human beings in his own image. God in his fore knowledge created man in his own very image to be the specimen for engineering the prototype man. The creation narrative is a complex tapestry to the critical mind but not to God because He (himself) is the Designer of all things. Each time a person confesses Christ a new Adam emerge because the making of man or woman in Christ is the true story of God’s creation. This is the whole point of the whole creation story. Based on Deuteronomy 34:1-12, ‘Seeing beyond the borders of your material Destination’ is a reflection on the calling of Moses to his eternal destination. Growing up, most of us I believe were fascinated by the intriguing story of a profound man of God named Moses, we are captivated by the story of his birth, how he was placed in a basket and left to float until providence led the Egyptian princess to find and adopt him. Moses, grew up to discover his identity, killed a man and subsequently fled Egypt for fear of prosecution. In fact his was an extremely colourful story, one that never seized to amaze. However, the focus of this podcast is on his specific calling to the brink of the promised land and his constraint to see beyond the borders of his material destination. Based on (Isaiah 43:16-21) Striking a New Rhythm of life encourages listeners of Pneuma Podcast to take advantage of the promises of God available to them in this new season. You may be familiar with the axiom, “opportunity comes but once” However, I would like to say to you today that each new season is another opportunity to strike a new rhythm of life especially if you are a child of the Most High God. The word of God said, Lamentations 3:22-23 “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. God’s consistency is trustworthy and his mercies upon those who put their trust in him are everlasting and above everything else they are renewed each morning and so is each new season such as this. Based on Luke 13:6-9, “Rejigging your life anew in this season” considers the fact that the past couple of years has been challenging for all of us, especially for believers in Jesus Christ whose habit of fellowship with one another was impacted, however, the story Jesus told of the Garden and Gardener in our key text is comforting. Like the vineyard or garden we have someone who cares so much to advocate on our behalf, and it is also marvelous to know that we have a merciful God, willing to extend the life of the tree. That is exciting! We have another chance to rejig and strategise our lives anew in this season. this podcast, therefore, invites listeners to take advantage of the opportunity and of the knowledge to be hopeful and do something new today. Based on Matthew 5:14-16 ‘Being the Light in the Dark’ is a reflection on being the light in the world around this New Year. The last few years have been dark for the world as we see the entire world encapsulated with fear and anxiety, the very essence of our existence was fiercely challenged by the vicious c-19, we were truly in darkness! Now that we have come full circle to begin another countdown. I invite you to reflect on what it means to be the light in a dark place which is what we are called to be. Based on Isaiah 53:1-6 ‘Christ the Wounded Healer’ is a reflection on the potency of the finished work of Calvary where Jesus Christ was wounded and suffered and died so that we can be healed. The complexity of the world makes it hard for us to make sense of it. Each passing day brings us face to face with trials and tribulations that causes us great doubt about our own mortal existence and our environments. However, the Word of God connects us directly to God the creator in such a powerful way that our relationship with God is strengthened as a result. This podcast looks at the subject of suffering from wounds that won’t heal and needing interventions of the wounded healer. It is my prayer that you are blessed as you listen to this episode. Shalom. Based on (1 Kings 5:1-7) ‘A Temple in Honour of God’ is a reflection on the importance of who we are in God and His expectation of us. In building the famous Solomon’s Temple, King Solomon understood the importance of choice materials and how to negotiate for them, he wanted the best of materials and knew exactly where and how to get them. That was because he understood that, although God does not reside materially in a temple and that he cannot in the real sense build a house for God he is well able to build a temple in honour of HIS Name. In the same way while we are not good enough for God’s standard, we can do our best to honour HIS Name by living right. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on Genesis 45:3-11, 15 and Luke 6:27-38, Grace to Forgive is a reflection on our attitude towards those who wrongs us. When we hear or read about serious crimes, the natural and immediate human reaction is to seek for appropriate justice to be served yet the scripture encourages us to love, to do good, to bless and to pray for our enemies even those who harms or have the potential to cause us harm. The story of Joseph also offers us an insight into modern day practice of Restorative Justice, a system of criminal justice that “brings those harmed by crime or conflict and those responsible for the harm into communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward.” This was aptly demonstrated by Judah, the chief conspirator of Joseph’s betrayal, when he offered himself to become a slave in place of Benjamin. Based on Hebrews 12:1-4 ‘Centring On Jesus Christ For Eternal Trophy’ looks at the first -four verses of the book of Hebrews chapter 12, they are verses 1 to 4. The Book of Hebrews as most of you know is one of those books that is so apt and indispensable instrument to the passionate follower of Jesus Christ, simply because its ascribed writer was an individual totally sold out to the cause of Christ. The key text today appears to spell out in the clearest terms what is it that the Christian must do so as not to be left out of the Kingdom race and that is focusing and refocusing on Jesus Christ every day of the life of the Christian. Based on Luke 15:17–24 ‘Never far away from the Father’s Heart’ is a reflection on one of the most beautiful father-child relationship narratives in the Bible, it tells of the deep intrinsic human relationship that is beyond compression, it is an emotional story of what it means to love someone regardless of their shortcomings and misgivings, above all it is a reflection on what constitutes the agape love. Although story is commonly called the prodigal son, but today, I would like to spin it a little, away from that narrative because the focus and I believe the importance and the lesson of the story rest not on the extravagance of the character but in his action and that of the father. Based on Philippians 3:1-11, the purpose of this Podcast, “Knowing the fellowship of Christ’s’ Suffering”, is not to castigate or interrogate your relationship with the Most High God but to engage and to encourage you to examine the level of the intensity of your fellowship with God. The passage helps us to understand the fundamentals of the processes that would lead us to the kind of fellowship that the Apostle Paul desired which should also be the desire of any God-chaser serious about eternity, the passage also brings to the fore the worthlessness of our material and intellectual achievements when it comes to the things of God and until we arrive at that place where we see those things as inconsequential to eternity, we are yet to be ready for a serious relationship with God. Based on Jonah 1:4-16 ‘The need for Spiritual Jettison’ is an encouragement from one believer to another about the need to cast off the unnecessary cargo that has the potential to sink your spiritual ship. Jettison is an intentional act of throwing overboard of cargo, or of part of the vessel's superstructure, to lighten a vessel so as to stabilise it during turbulence. Whenever, there is a turbulence in your life, rather than worry about why the storm is there, you should instead find the reason for why God permits the storm, maybe there is something in your life that you need to deal with, maybe there is something you need to jettison as we will find out in this podcast. I assume you must know by now that the journey of life is supernatural and as well as natural which all mortals are compelled to embark on, and as a result, each new day is a step closer to your destiny, nevertheless, the steps we take matters as they will have eternal consequence on our souls when we are done from this side of eternity. Based on 1 Kings 19:9-14 Unpredictable reliable God is a reflection on our expectations of God’s action over our lives. This podcast calls listeners to consider surrendering their expectations of God’s action to God as any attempt to predict divine action amounts to a direct incarceration of God in our mental and emotional fabricated cubicle that is clearly incapable of encapsulating all that is God, including His character, and His nature. Based on John 15: 1-11, Cultivating a Personal Relationship with God is a reflection on the disciple’s deeper walk with God. A personal relationship, therefore, must come from a personal encounter and a personal encounter with God would always be awe inspiring that is difficult to discount. The reason some of us are lukewarm is because we mistake Christianity for a religion instead of a lifestyle. Without, personal relationship with the Creator it is possible to be religious for as long as possible without God’s interference in your life and yet still think that you are following God. Based on Exodus 34:4-7 ‘Transferred Spiritual Bondage’ invites us to reflect on the negative spiritual activities that takes place in our lives even as believers in Jesus Christ. Transferred Spiritual Bondage, which is sometimes called generational curse is a continual negative pattern of habit that may exist in our lives as a result of our genetical connection with our lineages. While this doctrine may not exactly be supported by the New Testament, it is a worthy subject to consider as our key text today seems to give credence to it. The Good news is this, once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, the transfer corridor is blocked, and new generational curses can no longer have access or take a hold of your life if you do not live in the flesh but in the spirit. It is therefore my prayers today that you be free, for if the Jesus Christ sets you free you are indeed free. May this Podcast bless you. Shalom! Based on Jeremiah 29:10-14 ‘God is working for our Good’ is a reminder of God’s act of loving kindness to his people regardless any situation they might find themselves. One of the most distinguishing features of the Holy Bible from other religious texts, ancient or modern is the promises contained in them, in fact, the Bible can be rightly retitled as the Book of Promise as there are around 8,810 promises according to some biblical scholars out of which are 7,487 direct promises made by God to humankind. The truth is that the child of God can confidently key into each of these promises because we are all spiritual progenies of them by faith in Christ Jesus. It is therefore my belief that the fact that these promises exist should be of great comfort to us on this side of eternity and you my Brothers and my Sisters listening to this podcast can be rest assured of the grace and mercies of this God in your life too. Based on Job 40:15-24, Who can tame the Behemoth? Invites listeners of Pneuma Podcast to consider the question of divine sovereignty over all that is created by the Creator God. The title, therefore, is not a rhetorical question but a query that is intended to make a plausible psychological case designed to propel human consciousness towards the greatness of God the Creator of all things, great and small, including the setbacks and triumphs He allows. In using motif of Behemoth God reminded Job of the reality of his life. God responded to his query by helping him to see and engage with his diminished reality and he was reawakened to God’s absolute reality that is clear and authentic. Based on John 14:1-6 ‘A Place for You on the Other side’ is a reflection of our own mortality and the reality of eternity with or without Christ, the one singular and ‘must happen’ appointment with the Creator and Master of the universe. Death is going to happen; it is only a matter of when? And in my view the question of ‘when’ is unnecessary if we live each day as if Christ died yesterday, resurrected today, and is coming back tomorrow. Based on Luke 19:1-10 ‘Salvation has Come’ invites listeners of this Podcast to consider the nature of sin and the salvation that is available through Jesus Christ. The podcast focuses on the interesting story of a dishonourable individual yet honourable in the sight of God because of his singular action to connect with the person of Jesus Christ in his town. With the social baggage, inside of Zacchaeus was a hunger, hunger for righteousness, hunger to do the right thing and hunger to be accepted. Jesus took notice of this circumstantially challenged man because of what was inside of him, a remorseful heart. (Psalm 51:17) “it is a broken spirit you want remorse and penitence. Based on Psalms 139:7-12 “The Inescapable Presence of God” brings to the attention of the listeners of this podcast an important lesson we all need to learn about God’s presence through the eyes of the Psalmist. These Psalms are among some of the loveliest metaphoric expressions in the Scriptures, they are both scary and comforting concurrently because the presence of God is inescapable both for the bad person and the good person. God’s presence is inescapable no matter where we go, how far we go, how deep we go and how high we go we cannot run or hide away from the presence of God. God loves us so much that he is looking out for us therefore, when we read or meditate on these psalms let us do so from a place of trust and not fear. I pray that this podcast blesses you. Based on the 1 Corinthians 9:16-22 “Calls on believers to reflect on their commitments to the preaching, teaching, and sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with its originality. Right now many Christians and churches are so busy with never-ending social events that can compete favourably with Hollywood commercial shows and thinking it is the Gospel. Yes! It may look and sound like the Gospel, but that doesn’t mean it is the Gospel and if it is not the Gospel then it cannot be the Gospel. Based on Romans 8:1-4 “Debt Cancelled” invites listeners of this podcast to consider afresh the importance of Paul’s message to the Church at Rome and to the Church today as that form the very core of our walk with God. The Apostle Paul invited us to walk in the Spirit, to be directed by the Spirit, a character that would help us grow in the grace and in the providence of the Almighty God. Not that we will never sin or ever make mistakes and bad choices again, it simply means that we would be motivated more to focus on that which is positive as we will be guided and guarded by the influence of the Holy Spirit in our walk with your God. Based on Isaiah 55:6-12 ‘God has the last word on all things’ is a reflection on the reason why we, God chasers must let God have the last word over our affairs. This is because God is the originator of all things, visible and invisible, He is the Alpha and the Omega. The brokenness in our society is mind blowing, if you listen carefully to the resounding cry all around you, you will hear the deafening sound of the soul that has been crushed and looking for a Higher power without realising the simple fact of letting go and letting God have the last word. Bona fide children of God should know the truth of God’s faithfulness and let Him have the last word over their lives. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Based on Habakkuk 3:17-19 ‘Rejoice in the Lord Unconditionally’ is a call for believers in Jesus Christ to rejoice in the God of their salvation unreservedly. It is true, the world is saturated with trouble and uncertainty and with many unanswered questions but not rejoicing in the Lord is not an option for us instead, it is the driving force on our respective journeys of faith on this side of eternity. The old devil seek to attack this aspect of our lives each blessed day but we must as the scripture says, resist his antics with equal measure so that we can come out on the other side victoriously. It is therefore my sincere prayer today that this podcast blesses you and also that the God of our salvation will also lead us to the place of Habakkuk where we will learn to trust and rejoice in him unconditionally. Based on Luke 24:1-8 ‘Rising from the Ashes’ is a reflection on the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the first Easter morning. Easter in the Christian calendar marks the climax of the events of the death, burial and the ultimate resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each calendar year we are reminded yet again of this singular and most important event in the Christian history therefore, as you listen to this particular podcast may it also bring you into that space that allows you to re-evaluate your relationship to the rising Christ because without the resurrection your faith is in vain. Based on Luke 5:1-11 ‘Giving up for the Day’ is a reflection on what God can do with our frustration, when we are ready to give up. Simon Peter and his friends headed out to the sea, hoping for a big catch but to their disappointment nothing, not even a little crawfish. They toiled and toiled until they decided to call it off. But then, Jesus Christ showed up and borrowed their boats. Even though they were giving up for the day on fishing, little did they know that they were going to be a part of something much bigger than them because on the day of Pentecost, the unlearned Galilean fisherman took to the podium to proclaim the risen Jesus Christ so eloquently so much so that about 3,000 people were added to the new Church, Peter became a fisher of men instead of fishes. Based Mark 15:33-39 The Incredible Testimony to the Christ at the Cross’ podcast reflects on the actions of some of the primary witnesses present at the crucifixion who may or may not have been connected with Jesus Christ but found themselves as enthusiastic audience, captive audience and the participatory compliance audience. However, my focus in this podcast is on the testimony of the most improbable individual witness whose only business on that day was to see the crucifixion of Jesus Christ to the maximum conclusion. My prayer is that the Lord Jesus Christ would reveal Himself to us all in a much deeper way as He did the individual in question. Shalom! Based on 1 Corinthians 1:18-24 The Twisted Cross of the Christ is a reflection on the Cross of the Christ as we approach the cyclical commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is therefore imperative to bring this subject to mind because the essence of the Cross of the Christ can so easily be lost on us and I reckoned that there is no better time than now to pierce our conscience about the subject. Although the cross has become the most notable insignia of the Christian faith world over it was not the case prior to the graphic death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many people who are not necessarily Christians wear crosses for different reasons but for you who have believed in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, does the Cross remind you of the finished work of Calvary or just another eccentric ornament? For the child of God, the cross (not the material representation) is something enigmatic in that it projects a very powerful insight into why Jesus Christ had to die such a horrible death in the first place, and such unfathomable knowledge should make a lasting impression on a serious child of God. My prayer is that God would bless all those who listen to this podcast. Shalom! Based on Psalm 42: 1-8 ‘ is a reminder of need to find God in our desperate struggles in these difficult times. We live in interesting times, a time of desperation like never before in recent history, people are sick, jobs are lost, members of the human family are dying in droves, global economy is crashing under its own weight, majority of the nations of the world are in dire situations, the science community is scrambling to respond appropriately and our lives have been distorted. But the child of God must never give up in the midst of all these and that is if his/her desperation is towards God the Creator of all things. The Psalmist and as well as the Apostle Paul understood that peace is not the absence of trouble but a state of mind in times of trouble. We too can draw from those intrinsic measures of strength to help us convert failures into triumphs and maintain them through Jesus Christ our Lord and the one who had saved us. It is my prayer today that this Podcast becomes a source of blessings to you. Shalom! Based on Matthew 25:1-13 Making ourselves Ready is a reflection on the fascinating story of what has become the wise and foolish virgins found in Matthew 25:1-13. The New Interpreter’s Bible Commentary stated the story of the wise and foolish virgins inspired the early Church greatly because the bridegroom was delayed and accorded the unprepared disciples ample time to prepare and as well present a sense of comfort to those persecuted for the sake of the name of Jesus Christ. However, for the twenty-first century church like you and me it should instead serve as a caveat and an insight to what could go wrong should we fail to prepare for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is, therefore, my hope and prayer that in listening to this Podcast you be blessed, reinvigorated and made ready for when the trumpet sounds. Shalom! Based on Habakkuk 2:1-4 “ The Allocated Time frame” is a reflection on the importance of the time frame God allocated to us all and how we must acknowledge it as it supersedes the manmade time. This is simply because God the Creator does not work according the dictate and machination of human beings and therefore not bound by natural remit. Throughout history man has been known to measure time by creating and recreating methods to define a given period, such as year, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds all in the bid to ensure that he carries out his work within the framework of time. The problem with that principle is that, once the expected outcome is not achieved within that estimated period it becomes a problem. The book of Habakkuk offers us today the trajectory of righteous living even when in our feeble minds we think God is slow in answering to our situations because we approach God’s time from our parochial perspectives.”. Based on Philippians 3:3-8 Desiring more: Beyond the Peripheral is a re-vibration of the importance life away from regular Christianity to life that is heavenly focused. We have so much going on in our world today that has the propensity to stop us from completing our heavenly race as it gets tougher. The only way we can be successful in the race is to learn to be conscious of where we are at every given moment, we need to become intentionally and intensely self-aware. To do that we must also learn the act of recalibration, that is to rectify, to correct, to change and to adjust accurately for a specific function against the spiritual dimension outlined in the Holy Bible. Based on Hebrews 11:13-16 Pressing Forward; Discounting the Opportunity to look back invites listeners of this Podcast to reflect on the timeline they are working on and the importance of recognising that God’s own time is always the best. Understanding the demarcation of time and space in the way that the Master of the universe understands it will bring us to freedom from total dependency on simulated calendar that is driven by man’s enthusiasm to be in charge. If anything, the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that we are not entirely in charge as we think. With this in mind, what we must do as people of God to be successful in living for God’s predestined purposes is to keep on pressing forward and discount the ever present opportunities to look back. Based on Isaiah 43:10-19 ‘A way in the Wilderness’ is an encouragement to believers in Jesus Christ in these trying times, to know that God is still in the business of making a way in the wilderness. We are practically in an uncharted territory, a strangely strange land which is the case today. The world as we know it has been on downward roller-coaster since the COVID-19 Pandemic hits us, it has damaged society all round and greatly altered our way of living. Based on Genesis 1:1-5, Ordering the Disorderliness is a part of a reflection on the Genesis Creation Story. Regardless of controversies surrounding the story this podcast seek to bring to the fore the fact that God is able to bring order into disorderliness in our contemporary lives as He did in the Genesis’ account of creation. Based on John 1:12-14 Christmas and the Elaborate Fable is a reflection on how we celebrate Christmas. It is December again, that time of the year when people prepare to celebrate Christmas. Each year serious believers in Jesus Christ ask the question, what are we celebrating? This is an important question because it is so easy to fall into the trap of tradition without knowing, especially Christless tradition. For the unbeliever there is no need to ask any question about the festival, they just celebrate and if you ask they tell you that Christmas is about kids receiving lots of gifts, Christmas dinner with family and friends, and about shopping. They say it is a family tradition and it is also about stressful time. While all of these are necessary aspects of the celebration, they should not be reason because celebrating Christmas without Jesus Christ at the centre is like celebrating a person’s birthday party in his absence. It is my hope and prayer that in listening to this podcast you will find Christ in the Mass, by taking out the Elaborate Fable that becloud its glory. Shalom! Based on Isaiah 9:6-7 and Mark 13:26-31 Advent Beyond the Manger is a reflect on the advent season. In times like this many people go out of their way to put a smile on somebody’s face by giving out gifts. Despite COVID-19 the tradition is in full swing for many, whether they believe in the reason for advent or not. This podcast call believers to look away from the capitalistic and ritualized commercialization of the seasons around the world to the real reason why the first advent happened and in fact to the second advent when Jesus Christ would appear. The Church of God must remember that we are in this world but not of this world and we cannot therefore live by the dictates of the system of this world. We must continually look ahead of what has been promised and what is coming instead of focusing on the past, or on the manger because the more we focus our attention on the past or the present the more we want to remain there. The present is only as good as the decisions that we make for tomorrow, this expectation is what advent is about. Shalom! Based on (Esther 1:10-19), ‘God is in the Detail’ draws the attention of listeners of this podcast to the fact that God is interested in us enough to be in the details of lives. The podcast draws from the famous “Footprint in the Sand” poem attributed to Margaret Powers (née Fishback), The beautiful poem describes the experience of a person taking a walk on a beach with God. The walker noticed the disappearance of one sets of footprint in the sand and wondered why. The lesson in the poem is the fact that God was in the unseen detail. In the same way the Book of Esther has no mention of God in it and yet He was in the detail. The technicalities of the absence of ‘the mention of God’ in Esther works in our favour as it teaches and help us to look beyond what we can see so as to see what we cannot see with our naked eyes and this is because God is in every detail of it. It is my pray that the Lord use this message to bless you. Shalom. Based on (John 14:1-6), Where would you spend your eternity? Is a clarion call to Christians and everyone else who cares about eternity to consider what they are doing about eternity. Eternity is a serious future to consider because of the ephemerality of this world. (2 Peter 3:10) informs us that “the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly like a thief in the night; and on that day, the sky will vanish with a roar, the elements will melt with intense heat, and the earth and all the works done on it will be seen as they truly are.” If you consider seriously eternity you will not be taken by surprise. The reason why Jesus Christ came to us is because of eternity, however, eternity cannot be discussed in isolation of Heaven and Hell because in the end these two destinations are what is on offer so, while we preach, teach and talk about salvation, faithfulness, and grace, we do need to understand that the reason for salvation is because of eternity, the reason why we seek to live lives of faithfulness to God is because of eternity and the reason we ask for the grace of God is because of eternity no more no less, therefore, subtracting eternity from our gospel is tantamount to no gospel at all. Through this podcast I want you to know that there is still time if have not taken the matter of eternity to heart yet. One day, you will be standing right before your maker and there would be no time to make amend so I ask you today away from everything else that you will give this message a prayerful thought. Based Exodus 13:15-18, ‘Long walk to freedom’ invites listeners to consider the story of the Israelites journey in the light of (South African anti-apartheid champion, Mr Nelson Mandela) as they circled the wilderness on the way to the promised land. The children of Israel were in slavery for around 430 years in Egypt until God came to their rescue. However, God wanted to guide and teach them, not through the easy and short way but through long and tough way so that they would learn to fight their battles in future but they failed for lack of faith in Him. As the Bible say in (Numbers 32:11-13) “even though that particular land had been promised to the Israelites beginning with Abraham, then to Isaac and to Jacob after him, the whole generation that left Egypt when they were 20 years or older would have to die, wandering aimlessly in the desert, before God would allow the community to enter that great land. Only Caleb the Kenizzite (Jephunneh’s son) and Joshua (Nun’s son) out of that generation would be allowed to enjoy settlement there because they followed Him completely.” God is not pleased when we disbelieve Him and the consequences are severe however, His mercies also abound forever and when we surrender our all to Him He is ever ready to forgive us. I pray that your walk to freedom will not be long in the Name of Jesus Christ. Shalom! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Based on Philippians 3:13-16 ‘Prisoners of the Past’ invites believers in Jesus Christ to move away from being held prisoners of their past while recognising that the past establishes the future. This podcast draws on important lessons from the life and character of the Apostle Pauls as he encouraged the Philippian Church on the need to gather all their energies so as to focus on what was ahead of them. While we cannot change the past, it is possible to influence the future by what we do today. No matter how painful the past memories are, if we acknowledge and let Jesus Christ take absolute control he will free us from our miserable past memories and help us focus on the exciting future as we cannot afford to live in the shadow of the past and still be fully alive in Christ Jesus. I believe that that was what the Apostle Paul was doing with this particular letter. It is my prayer that this Podcast blesses you. Based on (Ecclesiastes 3:1-14) ‘Difficult Seasons of life’ calls listeners of this podcast to reflect on the presence of God in difficult seasons. Life is dynamic and therefore, unpredictable. The year 2020 is a year to remember; as we approach winter season and the end of this calendar year 2020, I am inspired to reflect on the remarkable events of the year, and I can safely conclude that indeed 2020 has been an interesting year. It has been a year that prolonged darkness covered the face of the whole earth in recent history, not in terms somatic but the darkness that is catastrophic in nature and has orchestrated and accelerated the substantial decrease of the human population by over a million and counting. The key text for this podcast presents a platform for us to consider the cyclical nature of life and find God’s place in it so that we can trust Him to see us through. The reason we must put our trust in God in difficult season is because He brings light into our darkness and order into our chaos. It is therefore, my prayer that this podcast blesses somebody. Based on 1 Timothy 1:12-17 ‘The Irrationality of Blame Game’ draws the attention of listeners of this podcast to the fact that everyone of us is responsible for the wrongs and the rights of this world as our actions or inactions have great impact on the world. We are so good at trading blames with each other instead of simply looking inside of ourselves to see if we are a contributing factor. Blame gain however, is not new, its origin is firmly rooted in the creation narrative, Genesis 3:12-13) where Adam blamed Eve and Eve blame the Serpent. The key text for this podcast offers us a platform to reflect on the life of the Apostle Paul who upon his encounter with Jesus Christ learnt the act of taking responsibilities for his past and present actions which I believe is the first step that we too must take if we are to make the world a better place as blaming one another has never been to anyone’s advantage. Based on (Ephesians 4:4-13) 'What is your Skywriting?' Is an invitation to consider once more the nature of our calling in this life. Many people today are confused about their individual calling or vocation either by misunderstanding their real passion or were coaxed into whatever they are doing now. The story of the Graham brothers about the skywriting which they saw standing on the grounds of their family dairy farm provides us with a prop which I used in this podcast as what is your skywriting. (Ephesian 4:11-13) presents us something to think about, something which we sometime overlook as we seek to serve God, we all agree that we have the amazing grace that saved us from our lives of sin and sorrow but we must remember also the fact that we do not all possess equal amounts of grace as it is distributed to each one differently, again for some it is go preach and for others it is go plough. Whatever it is that your grace is it is the grace to serve your God and his people in the best possible way. My prayer is that listeners of this podcast will find fulfilment in their vocation. Based on Matthew 28:16-20 ‘The Paradox of the Great Omission’ calls for an examination of what has come to be known as the ‘great commission’ which is in my view the very reason why Jesus Christ came to earth to die for the sins of mankind but it seem that by all indications the church has drifted afar from the great commission by omitting the critical attributes of the commission. This podcast, therefore, challenges listeners who have accepted the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary to rethink their approach to the great commission by re-examining its constitution and make a U-turn to the point where they went off. The Apostle Paul understood the seriousness of this matter when he warned his audience in Galatia and said (Galatians 1:8-9 ) “Anyone who comes to you with a different message than the grace gospel that you have received will have the curse of God come upon them!” My pray is that we will take this advice and run with in the Name of Jesus Christ Amen. Based on (Titus 2:11-15) ‘The Enigmatic Nature of Grace’ is a reminder of the wonderful grace that God showed and continue to show his people but sometimes understanding this favour can be a daunting task however, this podcast ask us not to worry whether we understand how grace works or not as all that is needed to fall in line with God is to believe in him as Creator and Saviour of our souls. Grace is the apparatus that brought us here and it is by it that we will continue to be saved until the final roll call made. We should, therefore, understand that any attempt to go to heaven without grace itself is an attempt to get to God without God. Live grace show grace and I hope this podcast blesses someone. Shalom! This podcast draws from the beautiful plea of King David for God to create in him a new, clean heart and to have it filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Since the heart in terms of the Bible refer to the control nerve centre of the whole person where all desires comes from, it is of utmost importance to keep it healthy and renewed each day of our lives by acknowledging God and depending on the Holy Spirit for the process to happen so that it can continue to be the temple of God instead of the habitation of Satan. Based on Daniel 1:8-16 '' reminds listeners of this podcast the importance of living in a parallel world, a world of spiritual and material, sacred and secular. I reckon that this is sometime problematic and we are tempted to deny the fact, conversely, however much we deny this fact, it is the human reality. It is therefore this reality that I am referring to as balancing act. The question is not that this reality exist but how we as followers of Jesus Christ approach it. Misunderstanding parallelism has led many to extremism or compromise but clear understanding of the Bible is sure to help all of us in getting our balancing act right, the story of Daniel is a fine example of balancing act and this is what this podcast is about. Based on Hebrews 11:1-16, ‘Pathway to Somewhere’ is a reminder to Christians of the singular reason why we are called Christians in the first instance. The primary disciples of Jesus Christ heard the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and accepted the offer of salvation and joined the pathway to heaven with Jesus Christ leading. Since then the reason for Christianity has not change but times has changed and we seem to be losing out on the primary reason why we became Christians because of the social dynamic of society which is why through this podcast I am reminding you and as well as myself to think about the fact that you and I are on the pathway to somewhere because every pathway lead to somewhere. Based on (2 Samuel 2:1-7) “Re-centring your GPS Navigation Arrow” uses the analogy of Global Positioning System to remind fellow Christian travellers on this side of eternity to consider realigning their lives with what God is leading them to do. Like GPS operation, life is dynamic, and each morning is a start of another journey and there is an unwritten sign on an invisible surface reminding us of the need to re-centre our spiritual GPS Navigation Arrow so as to be able to have the right perspective of life and the direction of travel. To have the right perspective, you need to keep your eyes on the activity on your life chart. You must keep in mind however, that whether you recentre your GPS Navigation Arrow or not, the system will still work but you would not have a clear perspective of the direction of your travel correspondingly, this is why it is important to recentre the GPS Navigation Arrow of your life at the start of each day. Based on Job 2:1-10 “The Nature of the Secret Council of God” invites believers in Christ Jesus to consider their experiences of sufferings in the light of Job’s own experience and not to allow the ignorance of not knowing what transpired on their account in God’s Secret Council to derail them from believing in God. As people, whether of faith or none we are constantly pressured to wonder about the problem of evil in this world and we ask the age-old question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” The book of Job helps us understand the backstage activities and demonstrates that nothing happens in a vacuum and without causative factors. In the case of Job, his suffering was a direct result of his righteousness which was a matter of interest to both God the creator and Satan the antagonist. Based on Habakkuk 2:1-4 “What’s on Your Vision Board?” calls listeners of this podcast to re-examine the importance of a vision board or dream board as it is the central axle for which the entire universe rotates, even when considered from the perspective of the creation narrative in the Book of Genesis how God clearly outlined His purpose for creating the universes and us. Vision board, therefore, is extremely important as it helps us establish a clear direction for our life project, and also help us align what we think we should be with what God who created want us to be. This is because no one created by the Almighty God is created in a vacuum or in an abstract situation. Based on (Nehemiah 6:1-17) ‘Dealing with the Ministry of Distraction’ invites listeners of this podcast to consider the scheming of the enemy as they seek to undermine our God given visions for our lives as exemplified in the story of Nehemiah and how he overcame the agents of the ministry of distraction in the characters of Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem. However, it is worth remembering that Nehemiah overcame because Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem were on direct collision course with the plan of God. To enjoy the same measure of victory over our adversaries we too must recognise as did Nehemiah the importance of our vision and project so much so that we are prepared not to give it up easily when confronted by the ministry of distraction. It is my pray that this podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on ( Mark 5:25-34) “Faith and Courage in Difficult Times” calls the attention of listeners of this podcast to the importance of faith and courage combined in their relationships with God as they seek to work with Him especially in difficult situations such as we are experiencing today. The Lord Jesus Christ often told his followers, not to be afraid and be of good courage. There is a reason for that, human beings are predisposed to the act of fear especially the fear of the unknown and as a result could be easily be propelled by it. This is also the reason why those who have no courage lose their ability to act by faith in God. As followers of Jesus Christ in the year 2020 and beyond we need to appropriately understand the relationship between faith and courage. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you as you listen. Based on 2 Samuel 9:1-11 “Showing Mercy to the Undeserving” a call for justice to all of God’s creation especially those He created in His own very image. No one created by God is undeserving because every single creation of God is deserving otherwise God the creator would not expend His time creating a worthless and an “undeserving individual”. God is all knowing and in His omniscience formed you who is making out time to listen to this podcast today. God’s servant David never seems to forget where God took him from and raised him to be King over His people and in recognition of God’s mercies and kindness over his life he had the opportunity to demonstrate God’s generosity to Mephibosheth, an undeserving member of the household of his predecessor King Saul and for the sake of Jonathan. This divine act of mercy and kindness should drive all us every day to seek out others who may be in want of food, friendship and fellowships. Based on Hebrews 11:13-19 “F” is a call to Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ to take steps of faith, and move away from what they may be afraid of in times of uncertainty. This is because the child of God is privilege to have a special relationship with Jesus Christ who the scripture says is , “the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8). Listeners of this podcast may not know what is ahead of them or what tomorrow holds but the fact that they serve a living God who transcends material and immaterial time span is sufficient enough and they can rest in the knowledge and be energised to face whatever that is facing them. My prayer, therefore, is that in facing what is facing you, you must determine not to face the future on your own but with your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ. Based on 2 Samuel 12:1-13, The Blessing of Humiliation invites listeners to consider the benefit in humiliation. Granted, no one enjoys period of humiliation or wants to be humiliated but the fact is, humiliation occurs all the time so if it happens what should our responses be? In this podcast we look at the life of King David as our example, how he responded to the allegorical exposé of his treacherous dealings. The curriculum of David presents us with numerous life lessons even though he lived in a different dispensation and context from us. As you listen please remember that humiliation in itself is not a bad thing if it leads to humility before God, this is because God who created us desires that we walk with him in total humility. Based on Genesis 4:1-10 ‘All lives Matters to God’ is a clarion call to all Christians to reconsider the values we place on all lives no matter the colour of skin, age, social disposition and even the unborn because the concept of the creation of the human person begins and ends with God. Every human being is created in the "image of God", a proper understanding of this concept will help us to place high premium on the sanctity of all lives. (Mark 12:31) “Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” If we learn to love one another there would be no need for the ‘Black lives matters’ protest because all lives matters after all. Based on (Genesis 13:5-12) “The Consequence of going with the Plain” identifies the cause of the trouble that Lot encountered as a result of his decision to go with the plain land of Sodom. From the very beginning, of their journey something went wrong with the choice that Lot made. Like many of us he probably but selfishly wanted the best expanse of the land for himself and his family, little did he know that such decision was going to be to be detrimental to his future. The text today remind listeners of this podcast that the story we read in the Bible are not there to entertain us but they are there for our learning as they can provide us with valuable life lessons. I therefore pray that this podcast blesses you in your journey of faith. Shalom! Based on 1 Kings 17:1-16 “” invites listeners of Pneuma Podcast to reflect on the effect of the economic drought necessitated by the 2020 Global health emergency (COVID-19) that has thrown the whole world into a season of drought and as a result most of us are experiencing a personal season of droughts that we must overcome. A lot of questions are being asked, why are we having to face a pandemic like no other, what is the role of God or the Creator in all these? This podcast remind us that Christ is always in our crisis and that every crises brings to the fore the reality of the human existence and the need for all to consider the spiritual perspective our existence as it impacts on the physical existence and how each depends on the other. The man Christ Jesus encountered many personal seasons of droughts when he walked the earth yet, He was always able to defeat each of them because he depended only on what proceeds from the mouth of God. Based on Isaiah 40:27-31 “Waiting for the time of Renewal” invites listeners of this podcast to consider some of the lessons to be learned in difficult times, and if there is any lesson to be learnt from COVID-19, it is the lesson of waiting, the act of waiting has increasingly become an herculean task in postmodern society. Most of us lack that grace of waiting, but we can draw from our key text today and learn how God spoke to His people (pre-exile in Babylon) so as to not only comfort them through their trials but to give them hope for the future. They were encouraged to wait upon the Lord; and those that wait on the Lord will soar on wings like eagles Music: William Augusto – Soaking in His Presence (Instrumental) TheNCrew: They That Wait Upon the Lord Disclaimer: All music used belong to the copyright owner credited. Based on (Ephesians 6:10-18) The Reality of Spiritual Warfare invites you to consider seriously the reality and the nature of the spiritual warfare raging against us today. In writing to the Ephesian Church Brother Paul calls on the Church to stay focus on the sovereignty of Lord because it is only in Lord that they be bold enough to withstand the arsenal of the enemy. It is not enough to be strong; they must also understand that there are sets of equipment they need to make victory happen in their lives, those equipment are called armour, not just some or a part of the armour but the whole armour. It is the whole armour of the Lord that would guarantee victory. I believe Paul is speaking to you and to me today and it is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on Exodus 5:1-10 “Let my people go” calls us to reflect on the events of the last few days and raises concerns among the people of God and the role they are playing in the struggle for racial justice in our racially charged society. Racial injustice is an uncomfortable issue but the Church can no longer keep the silence they have kept for so long, granted, we help to abolish slavery we must now help to stop racism in our immediate communities. This is because Christians are particularly called to be peace makers, yes! that is our calling, the calling of those who are heavenly conscious and heavenly bound, and it doesn’t matter your shade or status. Based on (Acts 1:1-11) “The Holy Spirit makes all the Difference” calls believers in Jesus Christ to acknowledge the Holy Spirit of God in their lives so as to be effective followers and a people worthy of emulation. The Holy Spirit of God is the oxygen of the Christian man or woman; without Him we will suffer from spiritual respiratory problems and would certainly require pneumatic ventilators, failure to comply would lead to spiritual death. The Church cannot survive without the Holy Spirit, take out the Holy Spirit and you are left with religiously charged lives, having the forms of godliness without the power. More than anything else the work of the Holy Spirit is to comfort us in times of trouble, when we are fearful, and when we are down and out, we can turn to the Holy Spirt to be comforted. Based on Daniel 6:15-23, “The day the lions went hungry” is a reflection on the story of Daniel’s life of faithfulness to his God and the power of God to save those who put their trust in Him. Out of jealousy Daniel was condemned to death and was placed on the menu for the lions but the lions went hungry because what was on the menu that day was unusual, so the lions won’t eat. God knew that Daniel was on the menu for the lions and He made the lions go hungry for his sake. Daniel had an option to opt out of the lion’s menu by not praying to his God or pray to his God and face the consequence, he chose the latter and God proved Himself to be trustworthy. You may feel that you are on the lion’s menu today but like Daniel God who is always with you will save you, only be faithful to Him. I pray that this podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on 1 Samuel 17:32-40 “Retrospect of Positive Past” is a reflection of how David’s past victories emboldened him to take on the Giant Goliath of Gath. Undoubtedly these are difficult times in human history but for the Child of God what is important is our ability to reflect in retrospect on the positive past victories we have had because it is not the failures of the past, It is not the trouble we went through in the past; it is not the trouble we are going through that counts but the victory gained and the victory we hope for that should matter. It is, therefore, the Retrospect of Positive Past that would see us through future difficulties, whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual. I pray that this podcast blesses you. Shalom! Based on Jeremiah 29:1-7 “You are called to Bless your City” invites listeners of this podcast to consider the central message of Jeremiah’s letter to the exiles in Babylon. Strangely enough Jeremiah’s prophetic letter gave detail of how they must conduct themselves in the strange land where they found themselves. Sometimes the simplest option would be to live on the edge of this life because of the fear of the known and the unknown but this letter commanded the exiles to be productive, participate in the life of the city they live in and pray for its welfare. Based on John 11:17- 44, “Freedom from Grave Clothes” calls believers to consider the story surrounding Lazarus’ death burial and resurrection. Implicitly, believers can fall into the trap of focusing on the seeming impossibility of a situation that they fail to see possibilities even when is obvious as it was in the case of Martha. Martha believed in the metaphorical futuristic resurrection of Jesus Christ, but Jesus was right there and was talking about what was possible in the immediate. Even when resurrection happens, the possibility of remaining bound by graveclothes can be a factor in the life of the believer. My prayer is that someone finds comfort through this podcast. Shalom! Based on Luke 2: 17 – 20, “Great joy for all people” call on Christians to reflect on the actions of the Shepherds after the angelic visitation and their subsequent Resolve, Response, and Reverence of the Christ-Child. Christmas did not just end on ‘Christmas day’ because the message of Christmas lives on after Christmas. In the same way let us resolve to live for Christ this 2020, not only by keeping faith but by telling others about faith in Jesus Christ because all that’s left after Christmas is to tell others of the “Great joy for all people”, which is the coming of Jesus Christ into our space here on this side of eternity; our works are incomplete until the message of salvation has been shared. However, we are confronted with the problem of chronology and periodization because the date, and time of Maranatha are “a classified information” known only to God. (Luke 19:10) Since we are oblivious of this information, we must do all we can to stay prepared so as not to be caught unaware when Jesus Christ returns. I pray that this Podcast bless you. Based on Luke 23:33- 43 “Father, forgive them” invites listeners of this Podcast to consider the manner that Jesus Christ accomplished his ministry on earth by taking his rightful place as the King of kings whose chief weapon is forgiveness. Jesus Christ approached his humiliation and suffering from a place of understanding that those persecuting him were ignorant. Jesus Christ looked beyond the physical appearance of his persecutors; to be able to forgive we must also look beyond the person. We must therefore endeavour to cultivate the habit of forgiveness because Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour forgave all those who accused him, those who erroneously charged and condemned him, those who ignorantly mocked him, those who nailed him to the cross and those standing by. Based on the Gospel of Luke 21:5–19 Standing Strong in Perilous times is a clarion call to all believers in Christ Jesus to take seriously the signs of the end time not by predicting the date of the second coming but by being fully prepared for the event. This preparation include persecution that Christians may suffer as a result of following Christ. The signs are there for all to see, false prophets everywhere, natural catastrophes events are on the increase, nations are rising against nations and the world is seriously being engineered against GOD but there is hope if we stand strong. Jesus said, “these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Music Credit: William Augusto - Instrumental Worship, soaking in his presence a new season Michael Reid - I’m pressings on Hosted on Acast. This is because Christians are responsible for the spiritual condition of the Church and moral decay of our society as a consequence of being indifference. Like the Church at Ephesus Christians can do well to take the advice of Jesus Christ by returning to their first love. Based on Luke 19:1-10 “A personal encounter with Jesus Christ” calls the attention of believers and non to the story of Zacchaeus a chief tax collector who desired to meet Jesus Christ and as a result was honoured to host him. It is also about the readiness of this perceived sinner-man to make his wrongs right. (a virtue that is infrequent today) This story is a real example of what true repentance should be. Based on (2 Kings 5:1-3,7-15c and Luke 17:11-19) “The Authentic act of Thanksgiving to God” invites believers in Christ to consider the importance of thanksgiving that is from the heart. Naaman the Army Commander and the foreign ex-leper recognised the importance of thanksgiving and returned back to show their gratitude to God for healing them and for restoring their dignity free of charge. The Lord Jesus Christ commended this very act of thanksgiving and blessed the ex-leper more. There are lessons to learn from these grateful people. Let us also remember that the fact that Jesus Christ died for us is enough reason to give thanks to God. I pray that this Podcast will Bless you as you consider what God has done, what He is doing and what He is going to do free of charge in your life in the Name of Jesus Christ. Based on (John 1:40-51) “Called to be a Regular Witness for Jesus Christ” invites all followers of Jesus Christ to take their rightful place within the mission of God as witnesses that does not require expert witness training. The business of winning souls for Jesus Christ is every Christian’s business and not just the ministers. Philip learnt this lesson early in his ministry with Jesus Christ that all that is needed is to attest to the truth in the most simplistic manner as it is the work of the Holy Spirit to do the convicting. “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And "Come and see." A simple testimony is what is require. I pray that this Podcast blesses you. Music Credit: William Augusto - Instrumental Worship, soaking in his presence a new season John L. Based on Luke 15:1-10 “A lost Sheep and a missing Coin” reminds Christians of the mission of Jesus Christ on this side of eternity. Throughout his earthly ministry he was found to be crossing the imaginary lines drawn by the religious leaders of his day, this welcoming approach is replicated many times in the New Testament but for the Pharisees it was a step too far for a Rabbi. Jesus responded in two parables, the two parables reveal God’s character, His grace and his love toward sinners and the purpose of searching is to find them so that on return there will be great joy in the presence of God. While Christians are encouraged not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, they are to show compassion for lost souls for which Jesus Christ came to die for. I pray that this Podcast blesses you. Sometimes our God does not work through or need the permission of the movers and shakers of this world. He chooses to use nameless individuals to make things happen. Based on (Matthew 4:18-22) “Come follow me” invites us to reconsider answering the call of Jesus Christ. The call to follow is a theme that runs throughout the scriptures right from the beginning, God has been in the business of calling people to covenant relationship with him in one way or the other. Adam and Eve were called to steward Eden and replenish the Earth, God stepped into their world in a very special way as he fellowshipped with them in the cool of the day. (Genesis 1:28,3:8) The call to follow is a strong indication that God is serious about calling people into his very special purpose, God wants to call us too even when we don’t feel ready or worthy of his calling, yet he calls us. The call to “follow me” is clarion and unconditional, it doesn’t show the responder any material direction this is because Jesus Christ the caller is himself is the direction, he is the navigator, navigation and the destination hear this, Jesus said in (John 14:6) “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The fact that they are unaware that they are being held captive in one way, or the other does not mean they are not prisoners or slaves. Light is so important to all of God’s creation, this is why one of the first and most important word God spoke at creation was “let there be light”, let there be light so that creation, (the universe in its entirety) will come alive because God is light, there is no darkness in him. Based on 1 Samuel 1:1-20 ‘The efficacy of Prayer’ invites listeners to reflect on the story of Hannah. The book of Samuel begins at a critical time in Israel’s history, a time of transition between the judges and the kings. It was a period of disorderliness however, 1 Samuel is an amazing book, it is full of some eccentric characters, battles and heroes, romance and treachery, deception and conspiracy. By today’s standard it is an action-pack narrative on par with Hollywood box office success stories. The part of the story we are looking at today begins with Hannah, (literally means Grace) a woman in pain, someone who recognised God and brought her pain to Him in prayer. Hannah’s story teaches us that God accomplishes his purposes through prayer. This wholehearted prayer brought about the much-needed change in Israel. The Future lies ahead not in the past is based on Exodus 6:1-7. Sometimes we act as if our future lies in the past and we reminisce nostalgically. For 400 years the Israelites were in slavery in Egypt and all they knew was oppression by Egypt’s rulers, they worked and worked, there was no rest. They prayed and prayed, until the only words they could manage was “Lord please deliver us!” Finally, God answered their prayer of deliverance, but within a short time of this new found freedom, the liberated Israelites began to long for the past instead of looking to future. Triumphant Entry based on Luke 19:28- 40 invites you to consider the events that led to the crucifixion and subsequent resurrection of Jesus the Christ. Although not noted in Luke’s Gospel we are told by commentators that it is quite likely that there was another boisterous entry on the day that Jesus Christ entered into Jerusalem, even though it was political. Entering first was the Roman Governor from the West with full military tattoo of might, amour, swords, chariots with all other possible paraphernalia including elaborate chariot carrying Pilate himself. But can you imagine the stark contrast on Jesus’ side as he enters Jerusalem on the back of a colt, (a small donkey) and yet unlike Pilate is still valid today. Pilate represents the kingdom of man while Jesus Christ represents the Kingdom of God. It is my prayer that this podcast blesses you. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Based on Matthew 6:9-13 the LORD’S PRAYER is arguably one of the most notable teachings of Jesus Christ in the Bible. Christians around the world read it, memorise it, pray it and sing it. In some churches services are never concluded until the Lord’s Prayer is said. However, I invite us to take a critical look at it again, this is because the Lord’s prayer has become a monotonous religious ritual so that some people say it without any iota of thought. In which case it seems to me that it is no longer a prayer as such but something we know we have to say each time we are prompted. I honestly find it difficult to think that Jesus wanted it to be repetitive prayer, this is because when this prayer is used as a temple it is so rich in content and in theology otherwise there is a real chance of missing the whole point of the demonstration. The Lord’s prayer is great and effective when prayed with sincerity and can also be a powerful tool. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

“The last jar on your shelf”, based on the John 12:1-8 invites listeners to reflect on this captivating power packed, act of Mary the sister of Lazarus who was brought back to life by their friend Jesus the Christ. The story is about true love and faith, friendship and extravagant giving without inhibition and is also about what Mary did, how she did it and why she did it. The action of Mary in this passage points all believers to the act of extravagant love for Jesus Christ by giving the best of what they have to God. Jesus Christ himself gives up his life. The title of this Podcast is ‘Metanoia’ (repentance), based on Luke 13: 1-9 (a necessary change for Salvation) but what in the world is Metanoia? Metanoia is a transliteration of Ancient Greek word which means a “change in one's way of life resulting from penitence or spiritual conversion”. Some of you here today may have experienced Metanoia at one point or the other. I use this word instead of simple repentance for two reasons, 1. To engrave the word in your hearts because the act of repentance is key to the sustenance of our Christian faith, the word Metanoia is much more than just sorrow or grief or simply a change of mind it is the outcome of sincere regret of what had taken place occasioning from our experience of awe-inspiring spiritual conversion. 2. Because the word “repentance” is grossly misrepresented. Each time the word is used most people understand it as condemnation or simply a religious mind control tools to keep people of faith in check. Metanoia comes with responsibility which is the action on our part to remain steadfast in our confession of faith in Jesus Christ. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This Podcast based on the Gospel of Luke 13:31-35 invites you to consider Jesus’ disposition in the face of intense hostility and confrontation from the powers that be, between the Secular and the Sacred. How did he stayed cool and collected? It was his confidence in his own undisputed identity. If only his twenty-first century followers will model their lives on such outstanding examples, then act of Christian living will be simpler. Hosted on Acast. Deuteronomy 26:1-11 deals with the act of remembrance and thanksgiving of what God has done in the life of the children of Israel. Giving thanks therefore is one of the most important cardinal points that defines God’s people, it distinguishes them from others who do not see the need to be thankful. The message of this chapter shapes our affection for God and draws us closer to God as we remember the work of God even in our lives. This understanding will help us resist the Devil. Quest, not the Conquest (Deuteronomy 34:1-12) Most of us have discovered by now that life does not synchronise like Hollywood movies that can be reordered by the director, and even if it is a supernatural movie and you are member of the cast and crew then God is the Scriptwriter, Executive Producer and the Director, all these three ensures that there is a vision, and that the vision is cast properly and the distribution of the finished product is achieved. Moses’ mission was the expedition, not the destination. For him the meaning of his life was in the journey, not in achieving the destination, a strange trajectory is in choreographed society. Exodus 34:29-35 and Luke 9:28-43 A supernatural encounter with God is awe inspiring and has the potential to reform and transform our character, the two narratives we are going to read clearly desaturates that those who had these supernatural encounters with God were never the same again. In the same way if you have really really had an encounter with God you also will never remain the same again, this is the whole point of this podcast today. I pray that you will be blessed. Unreserved Grace to forgive (Genesis 45:3-11) calls us to the task of loving our enemies, yet such goodness is not easy to covet. The story of Joseph is a prime example then and now, his story begins in Genesis chapter thirty-seven when his own brothers, those he loved and should love him back sold him into slavery in Egypt for profit and it ended in chapter fifty, when he died. In Egypt Joseph was wrongfully accused and imprisoned, he was recognised in prison, forgotten in prison and subsequently release and elevated to a very prominent position in the country. Providence brought him face to face with his conspirators, in fact his brotherly enemies, those who wished him dead, those who sold him off and performed his funeral. What will you do and what will be your reaction if you were to be confronted with the reality such as this? Jesus Christ in (Luke 6:27-38) invites us into an entirely different appraisal of ourselves and to imagine a new possibility of Christian living by loving our enemies. To demonstrate God-like Unreserved Grace to forgive. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The title of this message is “Trusting and Obeying Jesus Christ’s command” (base on Isaiah 6:1-13 and Luke 5:1-11). I find this Old and New Testament text very interesting, the two aptly demonstrates the defects and shortcomings of our common humanity, Isaiah was confronted with the glory of God and was astonished by it, the disciples saw the miraculous and they were confounded by it. The God in Isaiah and the Jesus of Luke are still the same, what may not be the same however, is our response to the wonders of God that surrounds us. Hosted on Acast. My chosen text today is one of the most difficult-to-preach in a world that has suffered so greatly from godly spiritual erosion, but the Bible categorically states, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) I believe that there are great life lessons we all can learn from these apparently difficult readings that seems to dwell very much on curse. Part of the questions we should be asking ourselves today is whether our own contexts in 2019 are any better than those from our readings. God’s word expressly said in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is the most deceitful thing there is and desperately wicked. No one can really know how bad it is”, so you see we are not spared at all simply because we are human beings. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Church’s Spiritual Map Podcast Where is the Church today on the Map? Christianity has been sacrificed on the altar of liberalism in the Global North and syncretism in the Global South. The true Church is gasping for oxygen and therefore need to retrace its steps to the beginning of beginning only then can these social onslaughts be contained. It seems that the Book of Revelation 2: 1-5 and 3: 14-19 in this message has some important points to make. Happy Listening. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-6. 8-10 and Luke 4:14-21 The chief purpose of the word of God is to inspire, the scriptures says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” When we read the word of God we read it to be inspired when we listen the word of God we listen to be inspired, when we preach the word of God we preach to inspire, and I dare to say that if the words spoken does not inspire it is not the word of God. There is power in the word of God. The word of God is not magical incantation, it is simply the demonstration of true power. When God’s word is transported through human conduit with the power of the Holy Spirit miracles happen. Through the word our universe came to be, raging storms are stilled, the blind sees, the deaf hear and peace is restored to the troubled heart. Some do not know if they want to experience this power as it may upsets their already choreographed life, on the other hand some want this divine disturbance in their lives. Hosted on Acast.
