When you think about coaching, what comes to mind? Most people focus on the transformation - the big changes, the bold actions, the new outcomes. And while those are undoubtedly powerful, today, I’m pulling back the curtain on something even more impactful. In this episode of Our Stories Within , I share what I believe is the true magic of coaching - and it’s not what most people expect. It’s about creating a space so safe, so free of judgment, that you can finally let your guard down and just be. Because when you allow yourself to show up fully, raw and unfiltered, everything begins to shift. I’ll share stories from recent coaching sessions that highlight how this kind of safety isn’t just healing - it’s transformative. We’ll explore: Why it’s not always about solving problems or setting goals The real reason vulnerability unlocks clarity and courage How the right support system can help you face the unspoken truths you’ve been avoiding Why creating a non-judgmental space is the foundation for meaningful change If you’ve ever wondered what truly makes coaching life-changing - or if you’re curious about how to move beyond surface-level progress - this episode will open your eyes to what’s possible when you feel deeply seen and supported. If you’re ready to experience this kind of support for yourself, I’d love to invite you to book a connection call. It’s a chance to explore whether coaching is the next step in your journey - and to start building the space for your transformation. Welcome back to Our Stories Within! In today’s quick yet powerful episode, I’m sharing a message inspired by recent coaching sessions and my own life’s whirlwind. As I stand on the brink of a major move, I’ve been reflecting on how easy it is to let busyness and the endless hustle take over our lives. This episode is an invitation to pause and ask yourself the big questions: What do you actually want? How do you want to spend your time? And how can you protect that time against the pressures of ‘busy’? In this episode, I dive into: Why busyness and hard work are often worn as badges of honor, but might actually be holding you back The difference between being ‘successful’ and being fulfilled How to make space for what matters most without letting guilt or resistance get in the way Practical steps to reclaim your schedule and align your time with your values The challenge of moving from over-scheduling to intentional, joyful living This episode is your reminder that it’s not just about what you’re doing; it’s about how you’re living. Let’s make sure you’re not missing out on the life you truly desire by letting busyness crowd out what’s essential. Looking for more support? Are you feeling overwhelmed by a packed schedule or a relentless pace of life? In this episode, I’m sharing the powerful question that has completely changed how I approach even my busiest days. This one small shift has helped me stay present, find joy, and move through life with more ease - even when juggling an international move, family commitments, and a demanding workload. I’ll walk you through how this question has supported me and why it could be the game-changer you need for your own life. In this episode, I explore: How a simple mindset shift can make even the busiest days more fulfilling The importance of small, intentional actions that elevate daily life How to prioritize moments for yourself amidst the chaos My favourite ways to incorporate self-care into busy days - subtle but impactful Why finding joy in the little things can change how you end your day, no matter what challenges arise If you’re feeling weighed down by a never-ending to-do list, this episode will remind you that a small shift can make a world of difference. Ever feel like life has you constantly in motion, with no time to pause, reflect, or just be with yourself? In this episode of Our Stories Within , I dive into the surprising power of intentional alone time. While a recent episode was about seeking support, today’s episode explores the flipside: the essential moments when going solo can offer profound clarity, creativity, and connection. Whether you’re navigating high-stakes professional decisions or simply trying to reconnect with your personal path, spending intentional time alone can be transformational. I share insights from my coaching sessions this week, showing how this practice can be just as crucial for executive leaders as it is for individuals looking to ground themselves in their personal lives. We explore: Why intentional alone time can unlock solutions that busyness keeps hidden The difference between distraction and true solitude How to “zoom out” from the noise and check in with yourself on a deeper level Simple steps to create more meaningful solo time that nourishes rather than drains Practical prompts to help you tap into your inner voice, even when life feels chaotic If you’re feeling pulled in too many directions or constantly plugged into other people’s needs, this episode is a reminder that reconnecting with yourself is not a luxury but a necessity. Joanne shares her powerful story of moving from harsh self-criticism to loving self-talk, and how making this shift changed her life and opened up possibilities she never thought were possible. How do you respond to change in your life? More specifically, how do you handle changes within yourself that you may not even notice? In today’s episode of Our Stories Within, I’m guiding you through a reflection on the personal shifts we often overlook—the ones where our behavior has changed, but our self-image hasn’t quite caught up yet. This lag in recognizing who we’ve become can hold us back from fully embracing the growth we’ve already created. I’m diving into: The phenomenon of change lag and how it can keep us stuck in old stories Why reflecting on and celebrating growth is crucial in solidifying change A beautiful client transformation, illustrating the power of letting go of past limitations and fully stepping into the new self How to navigate the space between who you were and who you are becoming with intentionality and grace The journey of personal growth doesn’t just happen overnight—it’s a process of unhooking from old patterns and welcoming in the new you. And trust me, the rewards are beautiful, surprising, and liberating. If you’re finding yourself stuck between the old version of you and the new one you’re becoming, let this episode be your reminder that change is possible, and it’s already happening. Celebrate it, reflect on it, and let go of any lingering self-perceptions that no longer serve you. Looking for more support? He’s been instrumental in my own personal development, and we’re delving into how you can use breath techniques to heal and build deeper connections with self and others. Do you often judge others? Is that ok? What might it mean about you? And why does it feel so icky when you realise that’s what you’ve been doing? These are the questions we’re exploring today! Two clients brought their experiences of judging others to our coaching sessions this week, so I’m bringing those conversations to you. Whilst on one level, judgement of others is very predictable. It’s how and why it presents itself, what that tells us about ourselves, and what we can do to reduce the ickiness - that’s the really interesting bit! So in today’s episode of Our Stories Within, we’re exploring all things judgement, including: A personal example of judgement and what it told me Our primal need for judgement What judging others tells us about our relationship with ourselves The difference between judgement and opinion A helpful tool to use to challenge your judgements and a real-life example of how I used it with one of my clients For help reigning in judgement, check out episode 52 of Our Stories Within for the Triple A check method or ping me an email for help finding clarity on your judgements: georgie@chasinglobsters.com Or to have more players in your team, join us at The CL Collective to make changes, be supported by myself and fellow CL coaches, and feel all the ups and downs of life with other extraordinary women treading the same path! It’s story time and I’m celebrating the delivery on a promise I made to myself 10 years ago! I’m sharing a little bit about my journey through coaching, from a place of feeling a bit lost and unsure of who I was becoming to finding direction and delivering on my dreams. But from a place that felt so lonely at the time, the most magical things have happened! In today’s episode of Our Stories Within, I’m sharing: How I went from feeling lost to finding my spark again The moments (and people) along the way that held space for me The doubling down on a dream The promise I made myself 10 years ago and how that could help you today! Have you ever slowed down enough to realise that everything you’re working towards, everything you’ve wanted to be, do, or see is already here? We’re so often running towards a future goal but have you ever stopped to ask yourself exactly where you’re running to? Or what it will look like and feel like when you get there? Being specific with how it would look and feel can open us up to the fact that we may already be enjoying some of the success we’re striving for. Right here, right now. And we’re robbing ourselves of enjoying that success! I get it - it can be hard to give yourself permission to take joy and light in life when there’s so much pain and suffering around us. I’m here today to encourage you to hold both - both buoyancy, lightness, and joy, as well as pain. Today’s episode of Our Stories Within is your guide on how to do just that. We’re exploring: The importance of examining what you’re running to (or from!) in the invisible race against yourself Examples of how to release and regulate when the world is dragging you down A timely quote from Tony Robbins How to be in a loving relationship with yourself Getting crystal clear on your finish line to bring everyday wins to the here and now and stay aligned in the face of adversity For support on building a compassionate relationship with yourself, or getting clear on what your finish line looks like, the Chasing Lobsters coaches and I are here to guide you every step of the way through our wonderful group coaching: The CL Collective I’d love to hear if this (slightly gloomier than usual!) episode resonated with you and feedback is always welcomed and taken with love at: georgie@chasinglobsters.com You can also connect with me here: On Instagram: https://instagram.com/chasinglobsters On Facebook: https://facebook.com/chasinglobsters On the web: www.chasinglobsters.com Apply to be coached on the po

Managing energy is a constant battle! We often feel we need to keep going, keep doing, keep ticking things off the list. But if we don’t manage our energy it can lead to stress, overwhelm, burnout, injury, and illness. No thank you! My energy level is screaming at me to keep things simple today. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do! I’m inviting you to do the same and gift yourself the kindness of listening to your energy and what you need (and don’t need!). Today’s episode of Our Stories Within will be exploring: A simple exercise to highlight your taps and your drains Examples of all the good things that charge me up - one recently highlighted during a day with the WI! How you can manage your schedule to make the most of your changing energy levels The one question to ask yourself to help keep your energy charged and protected To read more about managing your energy through foods or your menstrual cycle, grab yourself a copy of these two must-reads: Fast Like a Girl by Dr Mindy Pelz and In the Flo by Alisa Vitti . Resistance. It gets in the way, blocking us from being who we want to be or doing what we want to do. And it’s a sneaky little thing! Unfortunately, coming up against resistance is a natural part of the process of self-development and it presents itself in all kinds of yucky ways. You go about your life making the same pattern of choices time and time again even when you don’t want to, unaware of whatever’s creating resistance and preventing you from making choices more aligned to who you want to be. Frustrating isn’t it?! Today’s episode of Our Stories Within is a simple hack (or rather a broader understanding!) of resistance so you can manage it - and stop it in its tracks - until you’ve done the deeper, inner work to keep it in check completely! We’re discussing: How to recognise patterns of resistance How resistance can present itself in your brain, body, and behaviour An example of how resistance shows up in my life every single Wednesday 🤦♀️ (I’m working on it!) Your two-step hack to take the power away from resistance and move beyond it The yummy benefits from addressing the resistance in your life! What have you been putting off or taking for granted? Shame be gone - we all do it! Health, fitness, a relationship, a job, leadership skills… we can take them all for granted. But if we neglect certain arenas too much, it may come back to bite us in the bottom. And it can hurt! I’m airing my embarrassment today and sharing the thing I’ve been neglecting recently (and for longer than I care to admit!) and how it came back to bite me! The potential future consequences of taking these things for granted are often far greater than tackling the hurdle here and now. And sometimes those hurdles are actually little molehills, my friends! Today's episode of Our Stories Within is your prompt to re-engage with whatever you’ve been taking for granted. We’re exploring: How to identify arenas in your life that you’re taking for granted or neglecting The stories you’re telling yourself that are giving you the permission to take that thing for granted Questions to ask yourself to identify where else it might be happening and what you can do about it How to prioritise all the balls you’re juggling so you don’t drop the glass balls! How we can use this information to tell us where to deposit our attention, time, energy, and commitment And a little bit of accountability (see below!) If today’s episode has resonated, don’t feel you have to solo it! Use me as your very own accountability coach over on Instagram https://instagram.com/chasinglobsters and tell me: The thing today’s episode highlighted you’re taking for granted The commitment/action you’re taking to change the needle The date by which you’re going to do it! Too much time is occupied by our inner critics and not enough time given to our inner advocates. Too often do I hear ‘I need to get better at X’ or ‘I’m not very good at Y’ without dedicating equal airtime to celebrate (and appreciate!) our strengths… something that has as much - if not more - importance in our journey of growth! So, today, my friends, I ask you: What are you already doing really well? Let’s acknowledge those innate gifts that live deep inside you and come so naturally to you. And let’s polish them up so they shine even brighter! As a counter to last week’s episode of Our Stories Within exploring bouncing back from ‘failure’, today's episode is recognising and celebrating our greatest qualities to help us grow. We’re diving into: Healthy Vs Toxic Drive The discomfort of receiving and accepting compliments! Exercises I use within my 360° Performance Reviews and how you can apply them to finding your own strength blind spots A simple exercise you can use to discover, celebrate, and leverage your strengths so you can go out into the world and shine! When something doesn’t go our way it’s easy to beat ourselves up, feel like a failure, and create ‘truths’ based on what’s happened. And sometimes those ‘truths’ can be downright mean! The reality is, when you’ve had the wind knocked out of your sails, you have two options: you can let that ‘failure’ define you, OR you can learn from it, bounce back, and bounce forward! So, how do you guide yourself away from self-criticism and limiting thoughts and towards a place of learning, self-development and growth? In today’s episode of Our Stories Within, I’m here to share with you the 4 step process I use with myself, my clients, and even my kids, when things don’t quite go to plan! Along the way we’ll be discussing: Fixed Vs growth mindsets How to discover where your fracture lines are The difference between guilt and shame The importance of bringing heaps of compassion to the process And much more! Does the thought of investing in yourself give you the ick? The reality is a lot of women don’t feel comfortable investing time, space, energy, resources, and (of course!) money in themselves. You know the biggest challenge when I start working with women wanting to make changes in their lives?… Finding the time for that first call! The initial commitment to start the wheels turning. Ever feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Well, you’re not alone! I’ve had a week of it this week: constant resistance, road block after road block, red light after red light. I’ve felt tempted to give up (this is the 4th attempt at this week’s podcast episode!), but then I remembered something empowering… I get to choose how I respond. So, this episode is a short and sweet reminder to cut yourself some slack when life throws everything at you. Even when you get derailed, YOU get to choose your new path forward. And I’m here to share with you how I’m choosing to respond… The episode I had planned for this week will be ready for your ears soon. Do you ever feel like a spinning top? You’ve overcommitted, you’re overstretched, you have to keep moving and keep busy to stop your world from crashing down. Busyness isn’t necessarily a bad thing - it creates big ‘yes’ energy! It gets stuff done. After all, you’re a resilient, high-achieving woman whose capacity to execute is through the roof! But what happens when we unknowingly overstretch ourselves? That busyness soon becomes a burden. If this is ringing true for you, it’s time to rebalance the spinning top, my friend! It’s time to reduce the top-heavy demands resting precariously on your shoulders or to build a broader, more stable foundation to support them. On today’s episode of Our Stories Within, we’re exploring: Where your desire for busyness comes - which root cause do you resonate with? What the act of busyness is taking away from you What the end goal of your busyness is and if it’s aligned with your needs How we can rebalance the spinning top and be busy, productive, and high-achieving in a loving, nourishing, and sustainable way. What nourishes your soul? Walking? Getting out in nature? Cooking? Coffee with friends? Sex? We all try to set up and keep habits that feed us, make us feel alive, or heal us. But often, these habits slowly become a tick in the box, we start to multi-task, or they drop by the wayside completely. How many times have you gone for a dog walk to get away from it all and soak in nature, only to make a phone call, check emails, or listen to a podcast? Our time is a precious commodity, something we don’t get back. If you decide to invest your time in something that brings you joy, I’m imploring you to squeeze every little last drop of juice out of that joy! I want you to feel every single benefit. So, what’s the key to maximising that joy? Presence! In today’s episode of Our Stories Within, we’re diving into: What brushing my teeth in the shower made me realise about my cold-shower habit! Questions to ask yourself on where you’re investing your time, on what, and (most importantly!) why? Strap yourselves in because I’m here today with an emotional pep talk just for you to tell you not to give up! Do NOT give up on your dreams. Don’t let your unmet desires live dormant. Live a life that lights you up! I know, I know - life happens and things get in the way. Our dreams can be shelved by changes in responsibilities, changes in circumstance… or a pandemic! But the dream is NOT over until all options are explored. It’s easy to think it’s option A or option B, and choosing one means sacrificing the other. But what if there’s an unseen option C? The world is a beautiful place and it’s at your feet - so give your life your best shot! After all, as my darling Dad always said, the world is your Lobster! Today, I’m reminding you of: The dangers of boxing yourself in When to chase your dreams and when to let them go The difference between giving up and letting go The place from which decisions are made - empowerment, choice, and love or fear and self-abandonment The importance of grieving a dream not met What happens when we deny ourselves our truest desires and self-expression (spoiler alert - it’s not great!) Are you flaky? Or is it that you’re flexible? And what determines if that’s a good thing or not? There’s a richness to life when you allow your growth and natural shape-shifting to redirect you on your path. The question is, how do you do that without mindlessly bailing on your commitments or abandoning the hopes you hold for your future? At the time of year when most New Year goals come to crunch point, and the ammunition for criticism and shame is plenty, I prompt you to consider what it’s all about anyway. How can you find freedom from the rigid patterns that tell you ‘stick to the plan’, to take iterative steps toward the life you want to be living? That’s exactly what we’re digging into today. We are 40 episodes in! Can you even believe it? 40 episodes of encouraging one another, challenging ourselves to more intention, and questioning what it is we really want for the one life we get to live. 40 episodes of learning more about ourselves and the journey we’re on together, as strong, powerful, professional women. And today’s episode is no different. I’m about to be taking a break from work and many of us are going on holiday this season, so this is the perfect time to take a pause and set an intention for our time away from our routines. Before you start packing or before you get to where you’re going, take a moment with me. I’m sharing three key questions to ask yourself before you set sail so you can return feeling ready, rested, and fulfilled. Let’s go! I’m exploring: What my intention is for my family trip coming up and how I plan to achieve this How one client set out to have more fun on holiday and what that looked like for her Why setting a priority for your break can actually allow you to let go of the rest How these questions work for non-break times as well (yoga sessions, meetings, lunch time, weekends, you name it - it works!) Is it okay to be emotional? Is it okay to let it out? Should we really be regulating our emotions constantly and what emotions, if any, deserve to be expressed? This week on Our Stories Within, I’m navigating my own feelings, my own emotional story within and inviting you to tag along. My family is approaching a period of change as we prepare for a big move, and I’m not going to lie: there’s been a wave of different emotions. This experience, combined with a recent client session, has me thinking: how many of us have been taught to suppress our emotions, to minimize them, or to regulate them to the point of not feeling anything? Whether you’re an emotional person letting it out every day or bottling it up tight as can be, or whether you consider yourself level-headed and unemotional, come explore with me! Life is meant to be lived and I think we’ll find out that includes feeling our feelings. I’m exploring: Our lifelong training of “safe” emotions and those we’re taught to keep inside Why it’s good to meet your emotions with understanding and compassion How suppressing the anger means suppressing the joy Why minimizing emotions can lead to feelings of “blah” about everything How emotion suppressing is tied to our ability to receive compliments And much more emotional goodness! Finding middle ground with others can be hard. Admitting you don’t know it all can feel impossible. And letting others share when you’re used to having all the answers sounds simply awful, doesn’t it? But these actions are powerful and the thought behind them can change your life. In today’s episode I’ll be diving deep into the two principles that have transformed my personal and professional life. Now, I’ve learned quite a lot from being a coach and I love sharing those lessons and insights with you here. But, what I learn time and time again, day after day, is I don’t have all the answers. I don’t have all the solutions. But, my clients do. So, come join me and let’s discover what you still have left to learn from your life and those in it! I’m exploring: The two principles that have transformed my life Why clarifying what others mean helps everyone understand more, not just you Questions to ask yourself before speaking and before offering answers What facilitates deeper understanding How to find more comfort in silence and not knowing And much more! Where are you limiting yourself with thoughts and beliefs about who you are and what you're capable of? What do you tell yourself is just a character trait that you are defined by? Recently, a client session reminded me of why I named this podcast Our Stories Within. This dear client came to me with her own stories that were limiting her: she didn’t believe she was capable of doing what she wanted and leading in the way she desired, but boy was she wrong! It didn’t take long for me to see that she was beautifully capable in the areas she thought she lacked. So what specifically was holding her back? What was the story that she needed to rewrite? And what limiting beliefs are keeping you stuck from living the life you want to live? Let’s take a look! I’m exploring: How to recognize that the narrative you’re holding onto about yourself is skewed and inaccurate The powerful tool of mindset work and what comes after it Steps to breaking down your own limiting beliefs - does it matter where they came from? Why a compassionate space of self inquiry is profoundly important and generative for change How to reframe your thoughts into ones that support you and lift you up And much more! Are you overcomplicating things? Are you looking for reasons why this or that can’t happen yet? Could it simply be fear and trepidation of what is to come? Today’s episode is inspired by one of my recent client sessions. What became so clear after chatting with her was how often we can complicate that which is rather simple in our lives. We find ways to procrastinate to avoid the future, even if it’s a future we deeply desire! We find reasons why it can’t be or why we have to wait, but none of it’s true! So, join me today for a quick and effective reminder that if you want it, you can have it and if you have a desire, you are capable of seeing it through. Don’t believe me? Then listen in! I’m exploring: Why it’s so common to overcomplicate our simple desires How we arm ourselves with judgment, perfectionism, and overworking all to avoid vulnerability Alternative options that will support you through fear and nervousness The beautifully collaborative process of coaching Questions to ask yourself to check-in with what stalling tactics you’re utilizing And much more! So many of us feel that we are time-poor. It’s an easy thing to feel when we have so many demands. Yet, time really is our most valuable asset. In order to utilize time wisely or “gain” back time, some choose to multitask. For others, like me, it works better to focus on one thing at a time and not allow any distraction. This week on Our Stories Within, I’m inviting you into an experiment I’ve been conducting lately with my time and attention. I’ve taken a good look at what distractions I’ve been allowing, if any, and how this ultimate focus is actually costing me something quite precious. Who knew a light conversation with a friend would have such an impact on my life and how I look at my time. I hope you’ll join me this week and listen in on what has inspired a meaningful change in my life. Is your focus costing you anything? Let’s take a look! I’m exploring: Why we should be working to eliminate the word “just” from our vocabularies Questions to ask yourself to examine what productivity is costing you An update on life lately, where my brain is at, and my plea to you Where I decided that task completion is a priority for me, and where it isn’t Why I’m not “just” anything in life and neither are you Weighing productivity against how you truly want to live your life And much more! Do you struggle with your inner critic? Do you find your critical voice speaking louder and louder, harsher and harsher these days? Is it getting harder to live outside of this voice and this presence? This is something we can all relate to, because after all, we each have our own inner critic within us, don’t we? This is the topic I’m exploring today on Our Stories Within, and I’m joined by the brave and delightful Helen. Helen is a former teacher and current masters student studying to be a counselor. She’s in the midst of a big life change and is struggling with the confidence she knows she’ll need (and desperately wants!) as she ventures out on her own to start a new career and open her own private practice. So, join us as we discover what it is that’s holding her back from embracing the powerful, confident woman she knows she can be. This is a pivotal moment for Helen and if you’ve also struggled with an all-too-critical inner voice, it could be just as life changing for you! We’re exploring: What happens when Helen is finally able to name and describe her inner critic: Who does it end up sounding and looking like? And why is that a powerful discovery? The common disconnect between our inner critic’s intention and its impact If holding onto our inner critic excuses our inaction and if quieting it means we’ll have to be brave Why our inner critic is often connected to our need for survival What it looks like to upgrade your relationship with your inner critic to a more supportive, relevant, and appropriate role in your life And much more powerful moments with Helen! Do you know someone that could benefit from a one-on-one coaching session with me? Are you needing more support in an area in your life? What does it mean to be brave? What does it mean to push yourself outside of your comfort zone? Is this something you can do easily or is it met with great hesitation and trembling? In today’s episode of Our Stories Within, I’m taking a look at this thing we call bravery. What does it mean and what does it feel like? Is it the same for everyone? And what’s on the other side of being brave? We’ll all face big, scary decisions at some point. We’ll all face an overwhelming life event or unanticipated change. So, what can we do when we’re facing an obstacle? How can we show up with authenticity and respect for ourselves and our individual boundaries? Chances are you have some thoughts about motherhood. Whether you’re already a mum, whether you want to be one day or you’re trying to be right now, if you’re a woman, the thought has likely crossed your mind or you’ve already developed ideas about how you want it to go. This is our shared experience as women and it deserves to be discussed, because the road to motherhood is not easy, no matter what it looks like for you. This week on Our Stories Within, I’m joined by two incredibly strong women, Becci Wright and Emily Hodge, both powerful coaches and amazing mothers. We’re exploring: How the journey to motherhood starts long before pregnancy The role expectations play in our own paths to becoming a mother and how to check-in with yours The support offered in finding communities of people with similar tracks and ones that have absolutely nothing to do with motherhood How to offer and receive self-compassion and meet yourself right where you’re at, today Writing prompts to support you in your emotional release and how it can help Ways you can support others in their fertility experiences The often overlooked mental, physical, and emotional load of becoming a mother And much more Connect with Emily: https://www.linkedin.com/in/hodgeemily/ Connect with Becky: https://www.instagram.com/youvegotthiscoaching/ Connect with me: On Instagram: https://instagram.com/chasinglobsters On Facebook: https://facebook.com/chasinglobsters On the web: www.chasinglobsters.com Apply to be coached on the podcast: https://www.chasinglobsters.com/podca

Does time always seem to run short? You start the day with so many hours available to get this done, finish that project, make those meals, etc., but you never quite finish. She’s approaching some big changes in her life and is looking for guidance and insight as she arrives at what feels like a crossroads. Sam opens up beautifully, but will she be able to uncover any profound truths? Can you? Listen in to find out! We’re exploring: Wanting more control over our time: How do we get it? If going back to work is the right move for Sam - Will she find the balance she’s seeking there? Is that really the crossroads she’s at? Using busyness as a tool for distraction An exercise for sitting with your feelings, honoring all of them, and letting them out The stories of achievement and success we’re told as children that we continue to carry And more with Sam! Have you ever dropped the ball? Maybe you missed an appointment or were totally late for a meeting? It happens to all of us; we’re human - we make mistakes. But can we learn from them? Grow from them? In today’s episode I take you on a journey through my latest whoopsie as a mother. It would’ve been easy to feel guilt or shame that day (and I’m not saying I didn’t!), but that’s not ALL I felt! You might be surprised what other feelings overwhelmed me in those moments. Join me for a short and sweet conversation about giving and receiving support. I know you’re quick to give help, but what about accepting it? It just might be the time to start my friend, so let’s get into it! I’m exploring: How guilt can be useful for us (if used appropriately!) Why giving yourself permission to receive doesn't mean cutting yourself off from needed feedback Where the willingness to receive comes from and what can block it The sneaky, dark side of judging yourself that you may not realize And much more! Do you ever feel that you have to stay strong because if you don’t, you fear everything around you will crumble? You don’t pause to care for yourself, you just keep going and going as if on a treadmill that doesn’t feel right but you don’t know how to get off? If this is a pattern that feels familiar to you, then I really invite you to join me today in this conversation with Erica. On today’s episode you’ll hear an actual coaching session with Erica, a busy working mum struggling with this exhausting feeling of running on a constant treadmill with a strong need to make sure her children are always happy. Join us as we explore the messages underneath her mum guilt and the urge to always be the strong one who has everything together. Where can she start showing up for herself in ways that are really going to support her in breaking this pattern, and be the friend, parent, and coach to herself that she really needs? And how can you use these same tools to get off of YOUR busyness treadmill? Let’s dive in. We’re exploring: How to explore the stories that are keeping you stuck The importance of topping your own cup, and some fabulous examples from Erica on how these don’t have to be complicated or time consuming Why we often put on a strong front instead of feeling and expressing other emotions like sadness, grief, or anger The ways we often keep ourselves in a constant loop of busyness, avoidance, distraction, and suppression THESE conversations that are really needed to make actual long-lasting change in this area One simple and quick way to keep our emotions from getting stuck Plus so much more Connect with me: On Instagram: https://instagram.com/chasinglobsters On Facebook: https://facebook.com/chasinglobsters <span style="fo
