It's all about perspective. You may be on the mountain top or in the valley but you can have the best view in town from right where you are. It is not about what you see, it's about how you see and whom you see in the midst of your circumstance. Nathan and his friends share stories, thoughts, laughs, and tears that will help you have a more hope-filled perspective as you discover just how much God is for you and not against you. Come enjoy the view! #TheBestViewInTown

It's a tradition that the last episode of every season is me and my wife Tamsey reflecting together and sharing stories that will help you have a more hope-filled perspective. In this episode Tamsey shares a bit of her journey over the past year as her business as grown, and we together tell the story of how we were homeless a couple of times with our first child and were simply trying to follow the leading of God's voice! Have you ever felt like you were being punished for doing the very thing you believed God was telling you to do? Have you ever wondered if there was a happy ending to the story after all? Lisa Whittle is a best-selling author, speaker, teacher and podcaster but my favorite attributes about her are that she is a Pastor's kid who loves Jesus, is real, and is kind. With all she has going on Lisa has always found a way to pause and encourage me throughout the years and it has been a tremendous blessing to me. I'm so grateful she made time to jump on the podcast and talk about her new book " God Knows " and the companion study " Your God Knows " while also sharing some life wisdom on ministry and motivations. Have you ever felt you had no idea what you had to offer that God could use? Have you feared you were missing the mark and letting God down? In all of it, Ben's faith in Jesus has lead him to steward what God has placed in his hands both inside and outside of the church. Becoming comfortable in your own skin is more than a self-esteem issue, it's a relationship with God issue. We are all created in God's Image and are beautifully and wonderfully made. While we may not all be living in that reality and reflecting His glory, the truth remains. When we do accept and delight in the fact that God made us with great intention, we not only find security in Him but have a firm footing from which to help others see their value! Nathan's friend, Worship Leader, Musical Artist and Songwriter, Temitope, jumps on the podcast this week and they talk about the power of community, finding peace in God's design, and now we can be an encouragement to others as we rest in who God made us to be. Maybe you are familiar with the movie War Room that came out in 2015? It was a film on prayer by the Kendrick Brothers (Fireproof, Courageous, Facing the Giants) that reached #1 in its second week. My friends Roland and Angela Mitchell had no idea how much the film would impact their lives until the Kendrick Brothers came to their house and asked if they could use it as the location of their movie! What could seem to be a superficial, exciting opportunity actually held very deep, personal meaning to the Mitchell family. In this episode, Roland and Angela share about the devastating loss of their teenage son, Coleman, and how the movie and its message played a role in bringing redemption to both Coleman's story and their own. They share how God has helped them go from loss to legacy as they allowed Him to continue to write His story. You will be impacted by their journey from pain to promise and from loss to legacy. Not only did God use the movie War Room but He partnered them with a ministry in Uganda that their son Coleman had intended to work with in the years to come. They now serve in leadership with that ministry as they steward Coleman's legacy and their own passion for the children of Uganda through a home they have built there to serve those in need. Chad Lail is WWE Superstar Jaxson Ryker but he wasn't always a professional wrestler on TV. At one point he was a boy with a dream living in Hickory, North Carolina. While serving in the military he began wrestling in front of small crowds. After years of work, lots of disappointment, and several challenges Chad made it to the WWE and realized a childhood dream earlier this year of being in WrestleMania. After having an encounter with Jesus, Chad has realized God has given him the platform he now has to encourage others to put their hope in Jesus, to pursue their dreams, and to let God lead. In this episode Nathan and Chad talk about what's new in his career, how he came to faith, and offers encouragement to people who are in varying stages of pursuing their dreams. You can connect with Chad on Instagram on FaceBook and Twitter . Chad posts video devotionals often on his YouTube channel . It's not what you see, it's how you see and who you see in the midst of your circumstances. You can have the best view in town from right where you are whether you are on the mountain top or in the valley. It's all about perspective. I'm thrilled to announces this new podcast launching August 4th 2021. Over this inaugural 12-week season you'll meet a new friend of mine every Wednesday and hear parts of their story that will encourage you and challenge you to have a more hope-filled perspective in your life, faith, family and business. We laugh a lot, cry a bit, and try to extract life-lessons that encourage us in our journey along the way. My buddy Justin Porter co-hosts the show with me and offers some thoughts each week. It sure is a lot of fun. Thanks for being excited with me! Share this with a friend so they can join us and we can enjoy the view together! #TheBestViewInTown Connect with us: Twitter Instagram FaceBook Support the show We are on PATREON!
