Recently I interviewed Kirsten Goodwin who helps ambitious professional women achieve their career goals. It was an insightful interview to Kirsten. Kirsten had just reached her first-year anniversary for her coaching business. Prior to setting up her business Kirsten had spent 10 years in the Civil Service, which included 5 years in law enforcement in high-powered roles. I recently had a very interesting chat with Trisha Barker, whose business revolves around the Imposter Syndrome and accompanying career coaching. We started with what psychometric testing Trisha uses and we got in to a discussion which we thought was best. We had a really interesting conversation around the Imposter syndrome and how it manifests itself. Interestingly a lot of people don’t even realise they are going through this. Trisha mentioned the sensation of not fitting in and feeling very lonely. We also discussed whether one gender suffers with Imposter syndrome more than another.
