With a new Exorcist movie getting a theatrical release this week, we thought there was no better way to kick off our Spooky Linings month than with a retrospective look at the only good sequel to the original. It's of course 1990's The Exorcist III. A slow burn, pseudo neo-noir film with a truly dreadful tone that is only hindered by its insistence at telling instead of showing. That being said, this one is definitely worth your time. Put on your straight jacket, climb around on the ceiling, and shut your goddamn mouth! (respectfully) as we crack open this wild ride of a movie, along with all those insane cameos in the Heaven scene, why William Friedkin (R.I.P.) was one of the greatest haters of all time, using Imagine Dragons songs as mnemonic devices for movie titles, and a hell of a lot more.
