Are you feeling un-empowered because the dreams of your younger self have not been achieved? It’s not too late – YOU get to choose how you live the second half of your life. The world is still your oyster but this time around you have the wisdom that comes with age. When you pair your wisdom with your dreams – you will be unstoppable! Together, Keren and Jade dive into what a midlife shift means and looks like through the lens of awakening, excitement and eagerness for more - as they answer caller’s questions. You will not want to miss this one. IN THIS EPISODE: [02:32] Keren defines the midlife crisis as the loss of our identity, revealed often through a change in physical circumstances, and notes that at this halfway point in life, people tend to re-evaluate their lives. [05:25] Keren introduces a book by author James Hollis – The Midlife Passage from Misery to Meaning in Midlife. She quotes a powerful passage from the book: “if we realize that the assumptions by which the person has lived his or her life are collapsing, that the assembled strategies of the provisional personality are de-compensating, that a worldview is falling apart, then the thrashing about is understandable. [07:08] Keren introduces Jade Sheppard, who talks about her new business Scarlet Society, and their goal: to normalize women’s sexual health and wellness after 40. Jade created this company following her divorce when she felt unsupported and uninspired by what was out there in the market for women's sexuality in the second half of their lives [14:46] Jade discusses how she found her midlife crisis to be an awakening - more of a blessing than something negative, setting the tone for the discussion with callers. [16:53] We hear from the first caller, Cindy, who feels sad because none of her dreams have been fulfilled. [22:10] Keren and Jade answer Cindy’s question, and encourage Cindy to live her life for HER, giving suggestions on how to take one step at a time towards her goals which will yet be fulfilled. [25:43] Our second caller, Lila, explains that she has gone back to work and now that she is earning an income she has had a shift in her marriage dynamic. In the seventh episode of the Coached Podcast’s new season, Coach Keren is joined by guest host Greg Scheinman for the second time to answer YOUR questions on the midlife shift. Greg is a Performance Coach, Speaker, Author & Creator of The Midlife Male Podcast & Newsletter. Today, Greg and Keren thoughtfully advise two callers who are wondering if they are too old to find love, or too old to find their life’s purpose. They give insightful answers and suggestions on how to love ourselves, how to turn inward, and how to create a life of fulfillment and meaning. When you start doing things that light you up daily you will be living a life of purpose – cumulatively. IN THIS EPISODE: [03:36] Keren discusses how the midlife shift can be compared to adolescence – and how you can turn stagnation and purposelessness into healing. [04:03] Keren welcomes Greg Sheinman back to the show – they recap the last episode and discuss the vulnerable and relatable questions from the previous callers [07:15] The first caller, Breanna, opens up about how first of all she loves herself, but second of all, she is feeling self-doubt because her boyfriend broke up with her for a younger woman. She wants to know how to feel empowered in this situation. [11:51] Keren empowers Breanna and validates her feelings by telling her, “ love yourself enough to understand that he is not for you because he is not appreciating all the magnificence of you. There are no deal breakers in real love.” [18:34] The second caller Mattius talks about the anxiety of finding his purpose at 46. Greg explains that the secret is to live positively. Not everyone has a “calling”, but doing things that we enjoy or things that make us feel good daily will add up cumulatively to create a life of fulfillment. [23:58] Keren discusses the word: “purpose.” Purpose is doing anything that creates fulfillment and meaning. Flow is anything that you are doing that makes you lose all sense of time. [25:50] Keren gives tips on how to find out what lights you up, what you are obsessed with, and what will help you to live a happy life full of purpose. KEY TAKEAWAYS: The Midlife crisis can be compared to adolescence in that it can be a turbulent time with acting out, extreme behaviors, and rage against change – instead we should be turning inward, processing what is happening, and evolving. When you love yourself and live your life being honest and true to yourself – you will find a partner suited perfectly to you. There is no time f

Have you stopped trying to achieve your goals because you think you’ve missed the window? Spoiler alert - there is no window! It is never too late to be the best version of yourself! In the sixth episode of the Coached Podcast’s new season, Coach Keren is joined by guest host Greg Scheinman to answer YOUR questions on the midlife shift. Greg is a Performance Coach, Speaker, Author & Creator of The Midlife Male Podcast & Newsletter. Together, Greg and Keren use their life experiences to weigh in on the vulnerable questions asked by today’s callers. Today’s episode focuses on aging, but contrary to popular belief, aging doesn’t have to be something we dread – it can be something to look forward to if you embrace the changes with love and see each day as an opportunity. IN THIS EPISODE: [00:00:26] Keren introduces the topic of change, and how it can be extremely hard for people to accept [00:05:24] Keren discusses a psychoanalyst’s description of the midlife crisis. The midlife crisis is a spiritual crisis, a profound inflection point in our life that has 5 stages of development: Accommodation, separation, liminality, reintegration, and individuation [00:07:45] Keren welcomes Greg to the show. Greg introduces us to his book that came out Nov 1, 2022, called: “The Midlife Male: A No-Bullshit Guide to Living Better, Longer, Happier, Healthier, and Wealthier and Having More Fun in Your 40s and 50s (Which Includes More Sex ... and What Guy Doesn't Want That?) [00:15:17] Keren and Greg hear from the first caller, Tim. Tim confides in the pair that he feels self-conscious about his physical changes since turning 40. [00:24:19] Greg discusses being consistent with small positive changes, and that over time those cumulative changes will add up to success. [00:30:41] Keren and Greg hear from Caroline; she courageously confides about wondering if there is more to life and, she feels like she is too far behind to ever catch up. [00:41:58] Keren gives Caroline advice on her issue, she urges her to listen to the whisper. She tells Caroline to go on an inner journey, to find out who she is and why she’s done what she’s done, and also why she wants what she wants. KEY TAKEAWAYS: It is never too late to live the life of your dreams on your terms Middle age happens to everyone – it is involuntary but if you embrace the change it can be beautiful and empowering Make small changes every day (ex. walking every day for 30 minutes) all your small changes will add up like compound interest to make a big beneficial difference Even if it seems hard, you must keep moving forward because regret is poison, and it will not get you anywhere. Keep looking forward with enthusiasm! LINKS: Website: http://www.themidlifemale.com/ IG: <a href= "https:/

What if your life looks perfect on the outside, but on the inside you just want MORE? On the fifth episode of the Coached Podcast’s new season, Coach Keren is joined once again by guest host and superstar coach Christopher Chandler to answer YOUR questions on the midlife shift - and within this context, about the question of all questions: what is my life’s purpose? Together, Chris and Keren passionately advise a caller who is feeling resentful and suffocated with her life, even though her life looks perfect on the outside and relay the very steps each of them has taken to unleash their true passion and next passion in life - and what YOU can do, too, for the magic to unfold in your life. In the episode, above all the case is made that suppressing your desires will take a lot more energy than it would take to live honestly and authentically, honoring your desires and honoring your purpose. If this sounds like it might be just what you need today, we hope you’ll tune in. IN THIS EPISODE: [00:02:50] Keren and Christopher revisit episode 4, and discuss the key takeaways from that last episode, touching on happiness and satisfaction. [00:06:22] Personal agency: what is it - and how do we get it? [00:09:29] The hosts take the first call, from Danny, in California, who is struggling with a feeling of purposelessness. [00:10:21] Chris and Keren discuss: Why is being honest with ourselves so hard? And how does NOT being honest with ourselves result in a feeling of purposelessness? [00:16:44] Keren and Chris demonstrate how to dig deeper so you can find out what is keeping you out of alignment with your purpose. [00:20:04] In closing, Keren posits that you are right to be scared of asking for more, because your new life may cost you your old one. But, though it may be scary, leaning into a life of meaning and into your calling is always worth it. KEY TAKEAWAYS: To change our lives into the life we are dreaming of we must first be completely honest with ourselves. This is much easier said than done. It might be easier to leave well enough alone. But if you are not living your life honestly - living your life the way YOU want to live it - it will a lot more effort to hold up the farce than it will be to live honestly and authentically In “going for it,” you will find that your new life may cost you your old one. Still: be honest, be truthful, be real, and be genuine. And ask yourself, “What makes you

KEY TAKEAWAYS: Trauma doesn’t necessarily happen surrounding grief, it can be caused by everyday experiences if you don’t have the tools to cope with the situation. Comfort zones are meant to be blown up, don’t stay within the comfort zone if it is not serving you. In this episode of our Midlife Awakening season of the Coached Podcast, the courageous Jody Lavoie joins Coach Keren Eldad to share her story of grief and growth. After an employee killed Jody’s husband at their place of business, in addition to waking up to the horror of the tragedy, she was forced to contend with a future that looked nothing like she had planned. Faced with the unthinkable, she decided, in an instant, not to choose defeat, but to step up. In one fell swoop, Jody went from being a stay-at-home mom to running a multi-million dollar business, solo parenting three daughters, and juggling new legal, financial, and household-related issues - succeeding above and beyond even her own expectations. Grief, like the midlife crisis, can turn your weakest moments into your greatest success by sharing your experience with others in a similar situation. In this episode of Coached with Keren, Keren sits down with two leaders, Erica Franko (Senior Manager, Accenture) and Larry Perkins (CEO, SierraConstellation Partners), and talks about the ground-breaking concept of Servant Leadership. Servant leadership is a leadership philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve. This is different from traditional leadership where the leader's main focus is the thriving of their company or organizations. A servant leader shares power puts the needs of the employees first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. The creation of a cohesive, positive team comes from leadership that’s collaborative and trusting - and so, depends on understanding this philosophy. Keren discusses these aspects with experts Larry Perkins and Erica Franko, and how they cultivate these leadership qualities and positive relationships in their own aspects of work, to make this concept practical and actionable for YOU. In This Episode: [01:25] Introducing Servant Leadership and how it creates cohesive, positive teams. [29:04] The key to Servant Leadership: shifting your focus to others by asking how you may serve them and how you can make yourself useful will be a game-changer. [32:35] How you can lean into your strengths and harness those leadership superpowers today. Key Takeaways: Leadership is about clarity, connection and service beyond yourself. Servant leadership is about putting the company and organization above yourself for the greater good of the people and all involved. It’s not always about what you are producing or achieving in your business, but how you are also impacting the people around you. Being a servant leader helps you grow, evolve, and adapt into the leadership types that a business or people need. Having self-awareness will allow you to step into the role of a true servant leader as things change. Letting go of perfection is a big step in knowing that wherever you are and whatever state you’re in you can still lead and inspire people. Visit KerenEldad.com

Welcome back to another special episode – this time welcoming my extraordinary guest and friend, the best-selling author of “Ketotarian,” “The Inflammation Spectrum,” and “Intuitive Fasting,” and the host of the new podcast: The Art of Being Well, Dr. Will Cole. In today's episode, we're joining forces to share and discuss his thoughts about the backlash he suffered against his book, Intuitive Fasting, and how he dealt with the criticism and harsh words he faced on social media. Through the story of what happened, I talk to Dr. Cole about what he has learned from the experience, and how we can deal with criticism and taking accountability versus accepting shame, or shaming, as any form of legitimate means for creating change. Tune in as Dr. Cole speaks about the importance of compassion and acceptance and for his top tips to staying “in the arena” and delivering your best work and honest message - no matter what. In This Episode: [05:25] Dr. Cole talks about the backlash he received from his book, “Intuitive Fasting,” and how he achieved a place of real peace with and through the ordeal. [08:15] Learn about what Intuitive Fasting is, why it’s not restrictive, and how it can inspire you to listen to your body. [12:20] Listen to the story of how Dr. Cole came to thank the people that tried to silence him because it just made his presence more firm and his reach farther-reaching. [18:15] Dr. Cole and I help you deconstruct how you can choose which feedback to take and which feedback not to take. [24:15] Why you need to be flexing your mindfulness muscles every single day, and a few excellent ways to do so. Key Takeaways: Root yourself in your intention. To rise above criticism, stay mindful and be gentle with yourself by recognizing if your intention was not to harm and was truly earnest. Shame feels like rejection. Social media shame feels like the possibility of collective rejection. You have to learn to identify this feeling and stop it in its tracks. To do so, first: go inward and realize that nothing crazy is going on. That way, you can recognize that you will be okay and work through the details from a calm place. Rely on a squad of people who have been in your shoes and can lend you a much greater perspective. Find the perspective of gratitude to ground yourself. Appreciation is like empathy: it dissolves the stinging effect of shame.

Welcome to a special PANEL edition of the Coached podcast. Our conversation addresses a topic pertinent to your mindset and to a cultural moment: sadly, it addresses the pandemic's pushing women into making a massive sacrifice and leaving the workforce en masse, losing not only of their pay check but in many cases, sabotaging their own self-actualization. In light of the moment, tune in to enjoy an honest conversation by women hell-bent on rising to the top, and why you must consider rejoining the workforce and creating an empire. The question submitted for today's show is such a big matzo ball that I've invited prominent professionals to join me. Tune in as we chat about the importance of mindset during these challenging times with Lindsay Costigan, Head of Western Region Prime Finance Sales at BNP Paribas, and Agathe Benhamou, founder of The Woman Society in France. Start trusting your husband to do more things around the house; that way, you can take the pressure off of yourself. https://www.kereneldad.com/

In today’s episode we will chat about self-sabotage and the patterns that leave us living in a place of mediocrity. Self-sabotage prevents us from reaching our goals, be it relationship or career goals, a personal goal such as weight loss, or the most common of the self-sabotaging behaviors procrastination and numbing. This behavior can affect nearly every aspect of life. By understanding that these patterns develop from a place of fear, we are able to take steps to reclaim our sense of self and control and live from a place of greatness. In this episode, you will not only learn how to do that but you will hear from the most special and most requested guest of all time: my mother, who not only beat self-sabotage, but beat CANCER. In This Episode: [02:31] A caller seeks advice for identifying self-sabotage behaviors. [07:42] Real tips to help you identify and get around your patterns of self-sabotage. [11:09] Meeting uncertainty with curiosity; how you manage your emotions and overcome anything. [12:04] Hear Coach Keren's Mom's story of beating cancer: how she let go of the attitude of defeat, and approached difficulty with faith and gratitude. Key Takeaways: Stop thinking that you are in your own way and approach yourself with a little more curiosity, a little more compassion. Write down what you're missing out on, potentially what big success is alluding you by committing to your self-sabotaging tendencies. Identify your triggers to re-claim your control and get ahead of it. Focus on mindfulness, soothe yourself back to a state that is less likely to be reactive. Next time you think you messed up, know that you have the power to turn it around

You're in for a treat because we're about to talk about boundaries, not healthy boundaries, not clear boundaries, just boundaries. Now, why have I removed the adjectives? Because boundaries are just an essential thing that everybody needs, PERIOD. They are necessary for healthy relationships and critical for a healthy life. In fact, the most compassionate people in the world have compassion because they have and maintain clear boundaries. Tune in as I give loads of tips on creating boundaries. Plus, I answer this question from a caller: how can I avoid being a pushover while maintaining a respectful relationship? In This Episode: [01:00] Why we need boundaries for healthy relationships and healthy lives. [03:05] The two premises you need to understand before learning about boundaries. [07:40] Veronica from Texas: how can I avoid being a pushover while maintaining a respectful relationship? [14:30] Andy talks about what it's like to be going through a massive inner and external change. Key Takeaways: For most of us, boundary building is a relatively new concept that we didn’t learn in school. Sadly, we have been conditioned to lower our boundaries in all facets of our life. Having healthy boundaries means knowing and understanding what your limits are and giving accordingly. Personal agency is the idea that you and you alone are responsible for your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

We're going to talk about a topic that I take very seriously, and that's how to stop working all the time. I know that this is truly going to serve many of you out there. A massive mindset shift needs to happen in order to stop the glorification of busy. We need to go from "I have to do this" to "I get to do this." Once we create that transformation in our mindset, we can finally reply to our inner calling. I answer questions about becoming more efficient and easily being productive. Lastly, I reveal how you can finally find your true purpose and tap into your deepest passions. In This Episode: [02:30] How to create an outstanding quality of work. [04:15] Question: I wanted to know what tools you would recommend in becoming more efficient? [08:40] Question: How can I continue to get work done and feel productive easily rather than pushing so hard? [15:15] The word purpose sounds like a big deal, but it’s not. I reveal how you can find your purpose. Key Takeaways: The solution to untangling from overwhelmed to moving into better time management is understanding the difference between motivation and inspiration. To feel less overwhelmed, you need to get clear on your priorities. People who work two jobs do not make enough money to thrive in our country. Working harder doesn’t make you more successful – remember that. It is time to tap into a passion rather than grit or perseverance. Then, tap into the greatness of what you are becoming rather than to the object of your pursuit.

On today’s episode we are going to talk about impatience, and we are also going to talk about the antidotes – perseverance, passion and faith. Who couldn’t use a dose of those, right? In today’s world, we all want it all and we want it now. But trust me on this one – you are not ready for it all and you would not get all the benefits out of what you want if you received the end results half-baked. Listen in to realize, through our caller's questions, that impatience itself disconnects you from the joy of the journey and all its amazing moments and lessons - and how you can stop succumbing to it and re-connect to your greatness. In This Episode: [01:08] The perseverance behind the making of “The Queen’s Gambit” [02:25] Founders of Pfizer and Moderna – their setbacks and their success [07:48] How impatience disconnects from the joy of the journey [09:54] Psychological tips that will help overcome frustration [15:43] Two secrets to having grit and faith [18:41] Story of growth through failure Key Takeaways: Nothing great ever came to being without struggle Be patient in the journey – no one wants a half-baked cake Don’t beat on something that already hurts; latch onto appreciation, find a way to ease and soothe yourself. Our goal is not to achieve stuff; our goal is to be the best version of ourselves. Resources: “The Queen’s Gambit” on IMBD https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10048342/

In this episode, I talk about what Imposter Syndrome is, what it isn't, and how you can get out of it if you find yourself identifying with it. We'll help you get clear about what exactly is blocking you so that you can start making a lack of confidence, insecurity, or self-doubt, a thing of the past, and believe in yourself. In this episode, I want to talk to you about how to find your authentic power. In my line of work I hear people tell me time and time again about their powerlessness – their lack of control, “he made me so angry” or “the kid is driving me crazy,” Or: “they did that to me,” or even “I never get ahead” –followed by a barrage of circumstances you somehow see as insurmountable. This is nonsense and I will show you that self awareness and spiritual practice alone can get you out of this stance – the stance that life is happening to you and therefore you have to assert yourself and use action and force to create your power. The truth is – assertion - or force - will only bring you more assertion – people will meet you with force. Plus, you will create immense need to keep up force and keep up action. This is exhausting and it is also totally mediocre. The power you can create by going inward and becoming aware, by finding clarity and acting from there – it is infinitely greater than that paltry flexing you’re doing. The episode features a very special How I Live With Enthusiasm segment submitted by Panache Desai, thought leader, spiritual teacher, and international best selling author of You Are Enough. Panache shares his ideas on living authentically in your power from the knowledge that you are enough. That is the ultimate truth. Panache Desai's Website Instagram @PanacheDesai You are Enough Book

“You are not trying to convince them of anything. You’re trying to show them how you’re going to make their lives easier. There are no favors involved. It’s a win-win for everybody.” – Mark Cuban Welcome to today’s episode of COACHED. Today, we will be talking about destigmatizing sales so you can sell with enthusiasm and stop feeling so icky about it. What do you think about when you hear the word SALESPERSON? Did you think up, or even write down, some words? Were any of these negative, maybe along the lines of “aggressive”, “pushy”, “cheesy”, “dishonest”…even “sleazy”? No matter what comes to your mind, let me tell you – you better shift your perspective. Because that sales person – even if you have a title that has nothing to with sales – is YOU. If you are running your own business, if you are in any prime position in your company, or you are on the way up anywhere - and you are – you are a salesperson. So start by shifting your focus.

On today's NEW episode of the COACHED podcast, we're going to answer one major and repeating question: If you don't yet have everything you want - what's the story you're telling yourself about the holdup? Think about it. Do you ever think or say the following: It's easier for others to get ahead They had a head start They inherited money. They married rich It's hard to find a job after kids It's impossible to find well-paying paying clients I'm too busy to follow my dreams I already have too much on my plate as it is I'm not like those who are successful If that's the pattern of thinking that's governing your life, those thoughts are going to cross over and cross your wires. In turn, those crossed wires are going to keep you stuck. In this new episode, I offer you three steps that will start to get you out of this. You can switch, pivot or quit - and you can change your story anytime and under any circumstances. Change your story. Change your life. It's that simple. I hope you will join me on the episode. Motherhood is the biggest gamble in the world. ~Gilda Radner As a new mom, you have a lot of parenting decisions to make. Are you going to breastfeed or not? Are you gonna go sleep or not? Are you going back to work or are you staying home with your children? Often the advice or the suggestions that come from other people are about these very things and they're completely unsolicited. In fact, they usually make you feel guilty or uncertain. Today's moms shaming culture can be off the charts. And the reason is it's because not only is it coming from our family and close people, it's literally coming from strangers on social media. A new poll just found that a majority of American mothers are being judged. Some online and some in person. In fact, C.S. Mots, a children's hospital at the University of Michigan, conducted a national poll surveying about 500 moms of kids 5 years and younger, and they were all asked if they'd had their parenting questioned. 61% responded they've been criticized for their child rearing decisions. Listen and hear top three tips to end your dealing with the mom shaming right now. Listen and hear top three tips to stay mindful and control the urge to criticize or disapprove of others

In this episode, we're going to talk about taking a leap, or more specifically when and how to know that you can transition from a career to the next or from a situation to the next and so on and so forth. Are you ready? Be brave Be resourceful You're going to have to jump. And I call that the principle of knowing that you don't know what you don't know. At the end of that leap there always lies possibility. When you see water around your feet on the Titanic you might still feel like your vision ahead is unclear. Once you get clear on the fact that this here is a dead end for you and you get over the illusion that it's comfortable so yay, you're gonna be able to see the possibilities ahead and there are many. Focus on the possibilities and the excitement of going towards positivity rather than narrowly accepting what is confining yourself and feeling stuck You deserve to live with passion. You deserve to rock the career of your dreams and to have a nice friendly environment around you. There will always be options and possibilities no matter what age or career field you are in. In order to survive you will need to develop something that helps you stomach plot twists and take leaps because the leaps are no longer an option anymore. There's a great book that I want to recommend for everybody out there. It's called When To Jump by Mike Lewis.

Life doesn't get better you get better. ~Joan Rivers The key to managing other people is to add more value with them in mind. Influence works through adding value in a way that is directed towards and influenced by the other. Suggestions about navigating hierarchies and organizations and how to get your ideas heard by the right people Ask yourself...if you had a magic wand what would you like to see happen in your organization in six months. If you're the person asking these questions then you're the person that people want at the meetings. You're the one who makes people think about what they need and you're gonna help people think through these things. Continue to be a value by doing what you're already doing. You're already generating ideas. You're already being proactive. You're already working on improving yourself and sharpen your skills Everybody can be happy in life and at work. And I believe that everyone should.

Nothing comes out of the blue. It comes out of the oblivion- Esther Hicks If you haven't been as successful or as successful as you dream of becoming, it might be because of a few things. First you may just be starting out. So, if you're taking score too soon chill out and stick with this. If it's been a while though... there might also be a question of timing at play. You're going to see in life we meet the right circumstances when we're ready for them. We aim to get you ready. So just keep at it. One of the most common limiting beliefs is, "I don't think I can make money doing this thing that I love" or "I don't think I can make that much money doing this thing that I love". Your dreams are not ridiculous and they are as profitable as you want them to be. You are as good as you think and your desires are pointing you in the right direction even the most insane direction.

IN TODAYS EPISODE: This episode is going to inspire you shake you up and give you some reasonable tips that you can immediately take action with. Let's address reality. We are the principal ones who are making ourselves overwhelmed. We're spending two hours a day on social media. We check our phones. One hundred and fifty times a day. And you corporates and all the rest of us spend about 25 percent of our day answering emails. Start here by not beating yourself up for where you are. And by acknowledging what you really want instead. What you really want is to learn what you can do about the situation. AND I'M ABOUT TO GIVE YOU THE FUNDAMENTAL keys to help you stop feeling that annoying anxiety of so much to do so little time and more. Isn't it true that we all work from home and so we all have a work life balance problem? Define your working hours. I personally work no more than five hours a day. You might work out how many hours are right for you to work and carve those out and then just make those your hours no more. You have to know when to start your personal life. Otherwise you are never going to stop working with the devices today. Manage your work and your time and to get stuff done. Make a to do list and don't just make a list like everybody does that just spews out everything that needs to get done.
