Judge Jules is a DJ superhero. Playing to huge crowds, running his own events (some legal and some not so much), hosting radio shows, signing and releasing anthems - all whilst managing to hold down a successful career in law. Many might know him from his days on Radio 1 where he hosted a must-listen to show for well over a decade, or you might have even seen him play at an event like his own Judgement Sundays in Ibiza and some of us have been lucky enough to catch him during those peak late 90s years at his iconic residency at Sheffield's Gatecrasher superclub. We discuss all of this in the interview, where we also get the lowdown on how he actually manages his day job and how this informs his own nocturnal activities. Darren Jay is a legend from the rave scene and a pioneer of the Jungle sound that took the UK (and the world) by storm in the 90s - something that has not let up to this day. Danny Rampling is a superstar DJ who is one of the originators of the house music scene. After witnessing DJ Alfredo play in Amnesia on a fateful trip to Ibiza in 1987, Danny’s mind was opened up to how music can create a collective consciousness on the dancefloor and he decided to import this vibe back to Britain by setting up his legendary club night Shoom that then kickstarted the Summer Of Love in 1988. During this period Danny was also a host on the then pirate station of Kiss FM before moving to BBC Radio 1 where he hosted his iconic Friday night show the Love Groove Dance Party. Still very much a headliner on the scene, Danny is also an active campaigner for movements that seek to save our clubs, venues, artists and dancefloors – listen for the stories and be inspired by Mr Rampling’s call to arms to help support the night time industry. Greg Wilson is an absolute legend on the DJ scene. The first person to mix two records together live on television, as well as the person that introduced Electro to the UK, he has been a DJ and record collector since his school days. Building his reputation as a seamless mixer at clubs in the North of the UK in the late 70's and early 80's, Greg even landed himself a residency at a pre-Acid House era Hacienda. Hanging up his headphones at the height of his fame aged 23, Greg made the most triumphant of DJ comebacks in 2003 and has been touring the world playing his eclectic blend of funky beats to club and festival crowds ever since. Just like one of his sets, this is an epic one, but totally worth the journey.
