At his peak, Sam was among a handful of Australian Skateboarders who achieved the dream of making a living from Skateboarding for a period of time. Like many of the best to do it, these were never his reasons for skating, however, he has won numerous high-profile competitions and gained consistent exposure in some of the most respected skateboarding (and mainstream) media outlets in Australia and America. For me, Sam is one of those rare individuals who possesses a focus and determination that’s on another level. The fact that he had a proper MMA fight "just because" is testament to this. Combined with natural athleticism, watching Sam on a skateboard is an awe inspiring experience that leaves you shaking your head in disbelief. He is art in motion.
