**Sermon: "Fulfilling Your Mission with God’s Grace, Courage, and Perseverance"**   **Text: Nehemiah 2:4**   *"The king said to me, 'What is it you want?' Then I prayed to the God of heaven."*   --- ### **Introduction:**   Nehemiah’s story is one of purpose, faith, and resilience. He rebuilt what others said was impossible, faced opposition, and relied on God’s guidance at every step. His success reminds us that great leaders don’t succeed alone—they succeed with courage, perseverance, and the power of God’s favor. Today, we’ll compare Nehemiah’s mission to the efforts of modern leaders like **President Donald Trump** and **Elon Musk**, who, despite obstacles and criticism, pressed forward and experienced God’s unseen hand guiding them.   --- ### **1. Nehemiah’s Burden Turned Into His Mission**   When Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem’s walls were in ruins, his heart broke (Nehemiah 1:4). His burden became his mission, but instead of rushing into action, he turned to God in prayer. Nehemiah knew that success wouldn’t come from human effort alone—it would require divine intervention. He confessed the sins of his people, asked for God’s favor, and submitted his plans to the Lord.   - **President Donald Trump’s Burden:** Like Nehemiah, President Trump carried a burden to rebuild and restore. His mission was to restore America’s economic prosperity, create jobs, and prioritize national security. When he took office, the country was divided, and many doubted his ability to lead. But Trump, like Nehemiah, turned this burden into action and stayed committed, even amid criticism and opposition. - **Elon Musk’s Burden:** Elon Musk’s burden was innovation—transforming space exploration, electric vehicles, and renewable energy. His vision wasn’t just about technology; it was about reshaping the future of humanity. But like Nehemiah, he faced moments of crisis, including near bankruptcy, yet he stayed focused on his mission.   - **Lesson:** Just like Nehemiah, President Trump and Elon Musk didn’t ignore the burdens they carried. Instead, they committed to their missions and moved forward with faith that their work had a purpose beyond themselves. --- ### **2. Nehemiah’s Boldness and God’s Favor (Nehemiah 2:4-8)**   When Nehemiah stood before King Artaxerxes and the king asked him, *“What do you want?”* Nehemiah didn’t respond with human logic—he first prayed to God. Afterward, he boldly asked the king for permission to rebuild the walls, letters of authority, and supplies. God answered his prayer by softening the king’s heart, granting him royal resources and protection. - **President Trump’s Bold Policies:** Like Nehemiah, Trump faced opposition but remained bold in his decisions. One key example was his decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in 2018, a move that many leaders warned would cause unrest. But Trump’s conviction led him to p

Closing 2024 with God's Holiness, Embracing 2025 with Purpose

Sermon Title: "Closing 2024 with God’s Holiness, Embracing 2025 with Purpose" Introduction: As we close the year 2024, let us reflect on the journey we've walked and prepare our hearts for the year ahead. How many regrets did you have in 2024? What accomplishments brought you closer to God? Life is a journey—a gift from God that calls us to align our steps with His divine purpose. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us: "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." As this year ends, let us examine our hearts and lives through God’s Word and prepare for a new season. 1. Let Go of Regrets (Philippians 3:13-14) "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Reflect on the regrets of 2024, not to dwell on them but to learn and grow. Were there unfulfilled prayers or missed opportunities? Remember, God's grace is sufficient, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Let go of the weight of past mistakes and focus on what God has planned for you in 2025. 2. Remove What Distracts You from God (Hebrews 12:1-2) "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." In life, we accumulate physical and spiritual clutter—things, relationships, and habits that pull us away from God. This December, evaluate what has distanced you from Him. Is it a love of worldly possessions, busyness, or misplaced priorities? Clear space in your life for God's blessings. 3. Re-center Your Heart on God (Matthew 6:21) "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Reflect on where your heart has been this year. Was it with God, or were you chasing fleeting things? When God is not at the center of our lives, we feel empty and lost. Prioritize your relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and obedience to His Word. 4. Rejoice in God's Blessings (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." Even in pain and challenges, God's blessings abound. I learned this through my own struggles with health this year. Remember, ordinary moments like eating, sleeping, and breathing are divine blessings. Rejoice in God’s presence and the love He has placed around you. 5. Pursue Holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16) "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" Today, we gather to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. Christmas is a season of joy, love, and hope, reminding us of God’s unending grace and mercy. As we look back to that holy night in Bethlehem, let us remember the profound truth of God becoming flesh to dwell among us. Scripture reminds us in John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Today’s message focuses on the ultimate gift of Christmas: hope, embodied in Jesus Christ. Page 2: The Prophecy of Hope Centuries before Christ’s birth, the prophets foretold the coming of the Messiah. Isaiah 9:6 declares: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” This promise sustained the people of Israel during times of despair, reminding them that God’s plan was unfolding. Likewise, in our lives, we may encounter darkness, uncertainty, or fear, but the prophecy of Christ reminds us that God’s promises are true and unchanging. The hope of the Messiah brought light to a weary world and continues to shine in our hearts today. Page 3: The Fulfillment of Hope On that first Christmas night, God’s promise was fulfilled. Luke 2:10-11 tells us: “But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’” This good news transcends time, culture, and circumstance. It is the assurance that God’s love for us is so immense that He sent His only Son to save us. The birth of Jesus is the foundation of our faith, and it serves as a beacon of hope in a world often filled with chaos and despair. In Christ, we find forgiveness, restoration, and the promise of eternal life. Page 4: Living in the Light of Hope As recipients of this incredible gift, how should we respond? First, we must share this hope with others. Matthew 5:16 encourages us: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Christmas is not merely a season but a lifestyle. It calls us to embody Christ’s love and extend grace to those around us. In a world longing for peace and joy, we are called to be messengers of the Gospel, proclaiming that Jesus is the reason for hope. Second, let us cultivate gratitude. Servant Leadership**   The foundation of Christian leadership is servant leadership. Jesus showed us that true leadership is about serving others, not seeking power or status. - **Bible Verse:** *“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”* (Mark 10:45, ESV) Christ demonstrated servant leadership by washing the feet of His disciples and ultimately laying down His life for all humanity. **2. Today, we will explore two powerful topics that shape both our personal lives and professional journeys: discovering our unique calling and crafting a mission and vision that aligns with God's Kingdom. These are not just business principles; they are Kingdom principles that guide us in becoming faithful stewards of the gifts and talents God has entrusted to us. We live in a world driven by success, but as believers, we are called to live for something more— God’s purpose . As it says in Jeremiah 29:11 , “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Today, I want to show you how to align your life and career with God’s plan . Part 1: Understanding Mission and Vision  Let’s first define what we mean by mission and vision . A Mission Statement answers the question, “Why do I exist?” It defines our purpose, the core reason for our being. A Vision Statement answers the question, “Where am I going?” It describes our future aspirations, giving us a long-term view of where we are headed. The Bible reminds us that everything we do must align with God’s plan. In Proverbs 19:21 , it says, “Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Our mission and vision should not just be about personal ambitions but about how we can serve the Kingdom of God through our talents, careers, and lives. Part 2: Crafting a Kingdom-Driven Mission Statement Crafting a mission statement rooted in Kingdom values starts with identifying your God-given talents and aligning them with a larger purpose. In Ephesians 2:10 , it says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” To craft a mission statement , consider the following: Who are you? What has God called you to be? What do you do? What are your gifts, skills, and passions? Who do you serve? Your mission should not be self-serving but about helping others and advancing the Gospel. Example : “To use my leadership and creativity to inspire others to discover their God-given potential and live purposeful lives.” Part 3: Crafting a Kingdom-Driven Vision Statement Now, let’s talk about vision. A Vision Statement looks forward, showing where you are going. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Our vision must align with God’s Kingdom purpose, not just our personal am

Labor Day is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September in the United States and Canada. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the well-being of the country. The day is often viewed as a celebration of the end of summer and is associated with barbecues, picnics, and various types of outdoor activities. Origins: The origins of Labor Day can be traced back to the labor union movements in the 19th century, which advocated for better wages, reasonable working hours, and safer working conditions. The idea for a "labor day" began as a type of demonstration or protest. Several cities claim to have hosted the first Labor Day celebration, but the most well-documented early Labor Day event was organized by Peter J. McGuire, a carpenter and labor union leader who co-founded the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. McGuire was inspired after seeing a labor festival in Canada and suggested a day to honor those "who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold." First Celebrations: The first Labor Day parade was held in New York City on September 5, 1882. It was organized by the Central Labor Union, and thousands of workers marched from City Hall to Union Square. Initially, the idea of a "workingmen's holiday," celebrated with a parade, speeches, and festivities, was not immediately accepted and was even met with skepticism or outright resistance in some quarters. Whether in politics, business, or our personal lives, leadership grounded in vision and innovation is vital. The Bible offers us profound insights into how we can lead effectively and faithfully, making a positive impact in our world. Slide 2: The Importance of Vision in Leadership The Bible teaches us the power of vision. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Vision is not just a strategy; it is the divine purpose that guides us. Leaders like Moses, who led Israel out of Egypt, were driven by a vision from God. Without a clear vision, we risk losing direction and purpose, both in our personal lives and in leadership roles. Slide 3: The Role of Godly Leadership in Society Political and business leaders hold great responsibility. King David’s leadership united Israel and established a kingdom based on God's law. Similarly, leaders today must seek God’s guidance to create policies and decisions that reflect justice, mercy, and humility. Our leadership should be a reflection of God’s love and righteousness. Slide 4: The Power of Innovation in Leadership Innovation is a crucial aspect of leadership. In Exodus 31:3-5, God filled Bezalel with His Spirit, giving him wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of skills to innovate in crafting the Tabernacle. Likewise, in our leadership, whether in business or governance, we are called to seek creative solutions to the challenges we face. Innovation guided by the Holy Spirit can transform societies and industries. Slide 5: Ethical Leadership According to Scripture Integrity is non-negotiable in leadership. Samuel, in 1 Samuel 12:3, stood before Israel and declared that he had not defrauded or oppressed anyone. His leadership was marked by honesty and righteousness. Today, leaders must uphold these values, ensuring that their actions and decisions are just and transparent. Slide 6: The Example of Joseph’s Policy Leadership Joseph’s story in Genesis 41 exemplifies the importance of strategic leadership. His wise planning during the seven years of plenty saved Egypt and many other nations during the seven years of famine. Date : 8/06/23  Abraham's Legacy: Visionary Leadership for Long-Term Success Bible: Genesis 22:1-2 (NIV) sets the stage for this critical event: "Sometime later, God tested Abraham. He said to him, 'Abraham!' 'Here I am,' he replied. Then God said, 'Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.'" The story of Abraham is found in the book of Genesis in the Bible. Abraham, originally known as Abram, was a man of great faith who lived around 2000 BCE. His story is a profound example of visionary leadership and long-term success, as he played a crucial role in God's plan to bless all nations through his descendants. The Call of Vision: Abraham's journey began when God called him to leave his homeland of Ur and go to a land that He would show him. God promised to make Abraham a great nation and bless him abundantly. In response to this divine call, Abraham demonstrated remarkable faith and obedience, leaving everything behind and embarking on a journey to an unknown destination. Nurturing Patience and Resilience: As Abraham journeyed through unfamiliar territories, he faced numerous challenges and trials. He encountered famine, conflicts, and uncertainties along the way. Despite these hardships, Abraham remained patient and resilient, trusting in God's promises and provision. He learned to wait upon the Lord, knowing that God's timing is perfect. Building the Foundation for Legacy: Throughout his life, Abraham built strong relationships and forged alliances with various people and leaders. He established a covenant with God, a binding agreement that solidified his legacy. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, and his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Embracing Ethical Leadership: Abraham's leadership was marked by ethical decision-making and moral integrity. When faced with conflicts, he chose to pursue peace and understanding. For instance, when there was strife between his herdsmen and those of his nephew Lot, Abraham chose to part ways amicably to maintain peace. Balancing Vision and Flexibility: As Abraham's journey progressed, he encountered unexpected challenges and detours. For instance, when he and his wife Sarah were unable to conceive a child, they took matters into their own hands, leading to complications. However, God remained faithful to His promise, and in their old age, Sarah miraculously gave birth to their son Isaac. Abraham's Legacy: Abraham's unwavering faith and visionary leadership were recognized and celebrated throughout the Bible. He became known as the "Father of Faith," a model of trust and belief in God's promises. Through Isaac and his descendants, including the nation of Israel, Abraham's legacy lived

 Title: The Pen and the Sword: Leadership, Strategy, and Mindset in the Kingdom of God Scripture Reading: Proverbs 16:9, Proverbs 4:23, Romans 12:2, Hebrews 11 Opening Prayer: "Gracious God, open our hearts and minds to Your truth. As we consider Your Word today, may we glean insights about leadership, strategy, and mindset. Guide our thinking and our actions, so we may lead as you lead, plan as you plan, and think as you think. In Jesus' name, Amen." Sermon: When we look through the annals of history, we see great leaders who were also remarkable writers. William Shakespeare shaped the English language, and Winston Churchill, with his eloquent speeches, steered a nation through war. There's a common thread between them: strategic thinking, leadership, and a unique mindset. God's Word provides us with the tools for effective leadership and strategic planning. Consider Proverbs 16:9, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." God recognizes our need to strategize, but He reminds us that ultimate success comes from aligning our plans with His will. William Wilberforce, a devout Christian, used his writing and leadership skills to campaign against the slave trade in Britain, driven by his faith and God-ordained strategy. Despite facing significant opposition, he didn't give up. He continued to strategize, plan, and act according to his Godly mindset and, eventually, saw the fruits of his labors. Our mindset, a crucial aspect of leadership, is addressed in Proverbs 4:23, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." The mindset we cultivate influences our leadership style and strategic thinking. Abraham Lincoln, known for his wisdom, had a mindset grounded in humility and resilience. He led America through its Civil War, using his writings to articulate the importance of unity and freedom. In Romans 12:2, we read, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Lincoln's leadership echoed this verse. He didn't conform to societal pressures but let his mind be transformed by the ideals of freedom and equality, aligning with God's will. The Bible provides us with an excellent example of leadership, strategy, and mindset in the person of Nehemiah. He led the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls with strategic planning, prayer, and a mindset focused on God's power and promise. Nehemiah was a strategic thinker, a visionary leader, and a devout follower of God. He's an exemplar of how God can use leaders when they align their strategy and mindset with His will. Reflecting on Hebrews 11, known as the 'Hall of Faith,' we find examples of ordinary men and women who became extraordinary leaders due to their God-inspired mindset. Here are a few key aspects of Moses' leadership, along with corresponding Bible verses: Humility and Servant Leadership: Moses was known for his humility and his willingness to serve others, putting their needs before his own. "And Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth." (Numbers 12:3) Courage and Boldness: Moses demonstrated courage and boldness in leading the Israelites out of Egypt and confronting Pharaoh. "The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." (Deuteronomy 31:8) Faith and Trust in God: Moses relied on his faith in God, trusting in His guidance and provision throughout their journey. "Moses said to the people, 'Do not fear! As Christians, we are called to embody the teachings of the Bible in every aspect of our lives, including our roles as political leaders. Today, we shall explore the guiding principles found within the Scriptures that can help shape our political actions and decisions. Let us begin this sermon by delving into the wisdom of God's Word. I. Servant Leadership: Matthew 20:26-28 "He said to them, 'You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'" Today, as we gather to celebrate Independence Day, we are reminded of the great privilege and responsibility we have as citizens of our nation. It is a day when we reflect on the freedom we enjoy and give thanks for the sacrifices of those who have gone before us. But as Christians, we also need to remember that true freedom comes from our relationship with Jesus Christ. Today, let us explore what it means to find true freedom in Christ, as we delve into the Word of God. I. Created for Freedom Scripture: Galatians 5:1 (NIV) - "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Explanation: In this verse, the apostle Paul reminds us that Christ has set us free. We were created to experience freedom, not just in the political or societal sense, but also in a spiritual sense. Date: 7/17/2022 Title: What I would like to say to young people? Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 — “Young people, enjoy your youth. Be happy while you are still young. Do what you want to do, and follow your heart's desire. But remember that God is going to judge you for whatever you do. First, we must work hard because, as the Bible says, our dreams cannot come true if we do not live hard.  Second, take the challenge If you don't have a challenge in your youth, you can't achieve it  Thirdly, you should not stop when you fail.  Fourth, you should never think that you are the master of your life. God is the master of your life. Fifth, become a young man who cleaned up the country. I want to tell you all to become politicians.  Sixth, I would like to ask you to find a good mate( spouse ). The last seventh is always dreamed and do your best to make that dream come true. Today's bible  Timothy 4:12 — “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” Jeremiah 1:4-9 — “The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’ ‘Ah, Sovereign LORD,’ I said, ‘I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.’ But the LORD said to me, ‘Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you and say whatever I command. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,’ declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘Now, I have put my words in your mouth.’” Samuel 17:42 — “And when the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him, for he was but a youth, ruddy and handsome in appearance.” Luke 1:26-33 — “In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. Proverbs 1:8-9 — “Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.” Peter 5:5-9 — “Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Ephesians 6:1-3 — “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Dr. Sarah Sun Liew's Top Priorities Dr. Sarah Sun Liew is running for US Senator. As CEO OF Fintech company and small business supporter, her entrepreneurship direct experience and knowledge make her a top candidate for rebuilding our state after the pandemic. As CEO of 503 c nonprofit and for-profit organizations, she has worked hard to create jobs and support entrepreneurs. When elected, she will fight and support small businesses and entrepreneurs by rebuilding their bankrupt businesses, creating new jobs and cutting taxes. Here are Dr. Liew’s 5 priority issues and solutions. Number 1 .  Dr. Liew will open an Entrepreneurial Support and Job Creation Center to provide existing business owners and new start-up future entrepreneurs with the skills they need to meet a rapidly changing world. This program will provide very professional vocational training and education to employers and job seekers, and also supports 501(C)(3) workforce nonprofits to create more jobs and help California economic growth. Job creation center programs will help a stable workforce of entrepreneurs, and support creating future generations' more STEM workers, early retirees' job replacement , more women job creation, also supporting prevention homeless. Number 2.   As an educator and pastor, and 30 years of experience in next-generation education, as well as Principal nonprofit tech university, she understands from early education to elderly education. Dr. Liew will propose developing preschool programs and strengthening K-12 STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education, and supporting high-quality recruitment for teachers, and innovative future generations of education. Dr. Liew will support charter schools and give a $3000 tax credit to parents of public school students, and loan forgiveness tax cuts to teachers and first aid workers. She will develop college education and job placement internship programs during academic life, and support college STEM programs to create more STEM workers. Support lowering the costs of a college education and adding higher quality education programs in local colleges. Additionally, she will promote donations to church education and nonprofit school foundations, and offer unique tax cuts to mobilize better education funding. Number 3.   Dr. Liew has the expertise necessary for proposing practical solutions in the aftermath of the pandemic. Dr Liew has many years experience as the CEO of legal, immigration, real estate brokerage and management companies. dr. Liew also runs business related real estate investment, finance, and foreclosure protection. Dr. Liew will support landlords and tenants by implementing laws and policies and fight for various real estate rights, real estate legal issues and will support affordable housing for seniors, help retirees live affordably, and create policies to prevent homelessness and prevent unemployment and help
