On the afternoon of June 7, 2016, Sukhvir was sitting in his Range Rover in the Yonge and Eglinton area, when two men wearing construction vests ambushed his vehicle with gunfire and he died at the scene. His homicide remains an active investigation and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

On June 24th 1994 at South boulevard near Chaplin Crescent, 80 years old Margaret was taking an afternoon nap, when someone broke into her house, ransacked her home, attacked her, sexually assaulted her and killed her. Neighbours reported seeing two strangers knocking on peoples door earlier that day. Her death struck chords with everyone as the level of violence is uncanny.
