The Darby Pale Collab Release Recorded Live at Pedals & Pints Brewing
The BoozeCast went on the road for a live recording at Pedals & Pints Brewing Company on National Beer Day! Celebrating Booze League's first collaboration beer, the gang welcomed in Pedals' Head Brewer Monica Potter for a guided tasting of the The Darby Pale. This collab is a 6.6% double dry hopped pale ale named after Booze League's official BoozeHound, Darby. Monica also guided a tasting through the newly released Pink Boots Society collab Too Hazy to Function hazy IPA as well as Monica's favorite beer, a maibock named Thomas Archer Kye-Bock. The history of National Beer Day is covered, two audience members put their beer and hops knowledge to the test for fun and prizes, and Monica shares her Greatest Drunk Story that she’s never told. Sandro was in charge of the Beer of the Day and he didn't disappoint. Beachwood Brewing's triple IPA Hops of Fury brought the heat! The gang spent their last week drinking thicc mimosas and buying Super Bowl kegs. Coley attended a 95 year old woman's first surprise birthday party, another Naughty Pine Emo Fest is in the books, and the Commish did some drinking with BDN and Coley. Song of the Day features almost monday's recent release "sun keeps on shining." The San Diego based indie funk band's first EP amassed 30 million streams and led to spots at Lollapalooza, Bottle Rock, Bonnaroo, and more. Coley was recently verified as old when she got an invitation to her 20th high school reunion. To ensure everybody else also felt old, she's got some pop culture fun facts from 2003 that will definitely shock and ensure you feel as old as she does. Draught93: Seltzers Might Be Done, Sandro is a Celeb, the Commish Went Viral, and Oktoberfest is Imminent
The Commish is drinking the highly rated Mommy Dearest DIPA from BlackStack Brewing and Sandro's got Cali-Squeeze's Blood Orange Wheat, but Coley brought in a most banger of a beer this week with Newgrass Brewing's Space TrashBlueberry Coconut Cobbler Sour Ale. Oktoberfest season is nigh, and the tradition for that season is strong. Sandro goes over the traditions, the traditional beer, and the history so nobody schnitzels inappropriately. The seltzer wave hit everyone hard, but numbers say it's receding, and the Commish's story of the common Olyphant/Duhamel Mixup was fraught with inaccuracies.
