What does it mean to be part of a truly vibrant community? This Sunday, we looked at Acts 2 and the birth of the early church. This was the moment when the Holy Spirit was poured out, transforming ordinary people into bold witnesses for Jesus. We saw how this new community was marked by devotion, generosity, prayer, worship, and radical love. As we reflect on our own church, we celebrate the ways we gather, serve, and grow together. From worship to kids’ ministry, from midweek Life Groups to our community outreach, we are part of something bigger. We are a living, breathing community centered on Jesus. If you’re feeling disconnected or searching for hope, this message is for you. You belong here. Step in, lean in, and be part of a community where faith comes alive. In a world where digital connection is easier than ever, do we still need face-to-face relationships? With the rise of AI companions and virtual interactions, it’s tempting to believe that screens can replace human presence. But from the very beginning, God designed us for something deeper. In this message, part of our 'A Vibrant Community' series, we explore why physical presence matters - why Jesus Himself became flesh and lived among us (John 1:14), why Paul longed to visit and encourage the churches in person (Romans 1:11-12), and why John desired face-to-face connection so that joy could be complete (2 John 1:12). Join us as we uncover four powerful reasons why meeting together isn’t just important, it’s essential for our spiritual growth and joy. Let’s move beyond pixels and step into the fullness of life-giving community. We were made for connection - designed in the image of a God who exists in perfect unity and love as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this message, part of our 'A Vibrant Community' series, Pastor Jeff unpacks the profound truth that our longing to belong is a reflection of the divine community that created us. From the beginning, God’s intention was for us to experience unity and belonging - first with Him and then with each other. Drawing from John 1:1-5, Genesis 1:1-3, and John 17:22-23, this message explores how our desire for community is rooted in God’s nature and how we, as His Church, are called to embody this unity in our everyday lives. If you’ve ever felt the ache of loneliness or the deep satisfaction of true connection, this message is for you. Discover how to move beyond isolation and into the vibrant, life-giving community that God intends. We were encouraged to surrender, worship wholeheartedly, and boldly live out the Gospel.

In this message, first preached in C3 Bathurst on 29 September 2024, Pastor Rowe concludes our series "Poetry for Life" on the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon. This series offers profound reflections on the human experience, from the value of our days to the deep search for meaning in our lives. Many things present circumstances of winter in our life. It's easy to be overwhelmed by these situations. They are real and sometimes extremely painful and we often let the externals determine our internal season. Song of Solomon is an invitation from God to his beloved, us, to come away. It's a promise that in Him everything has the possibility for new growth, colour and life. He is offering an eternal spring in our spirit.

This series offers profound reflections on the human experience, from the value of our days to the deep search for meaning in our lives. In the book of Songs of Solomon we ponder the idea that salvation is a love story, and see that God considers us beautiful, that we have captured His heart, we appear as fair, bright and majestic, and He wants to hear our voice. Through this relationship we experience blessing (Songs 2:4), love and friendship (Songs 5:16), security and safety (Songs 7:10).

This series offers profound reflections on the human experience, from the value of our days to the deep search for meaning in our lives. We are encouraged to consider one thing that our earthly father's have taught us that is still with us today - a 'thread of gold' in our life that we can attribute to our fathers, in the spirit of honour from Exodus 20:12. Pastor Jeff shared some personal examples from his life: Work with diligence (Proverbs 6:6-8) Love one woman intimately (Proverbs 6:32-33) Be devoted to your family (Proverbs 22:6) Enjoy life outside of work (Proverbs 19:23) Live life simply (Psalm 131:1) Be financially prudent (Proverbs 21:5) Give generously (Proverbs 11:24)
