While there are new movies that are fun and enjoyable, they just don‘t have the same impact as the Action Movies we remember as kids/teenagers. So I figured, we were not alone in our nostalgia and created a podcast to entertain people who feel the same as us. We will talk about what made certain movies so memorable. We will talk about a movie so cheesy but still makes us smile. We will share a memory of watching a movie for the first time.

Get you popcorn and drink of choice, turn off your brain and just have a good time with Anna's Banger Month pick of 2001s Tomb Raider. Long time friend and first time guest, Daniel from The Geeks with Beards podcast, joins us for a rip-roaring conversation. While not as good as the three Indiana Jones movies (yes, there are ONLY three) but clearly better than King Solomon's Mines, this movie is an enormously fun adventure movie with a ton of ridiculous action perfectly suited for the flavor of the classic video game series. Movies don't have to be "good" to be entertaining and this film is the perfect example of that. With all it's flaws, Tomb Raider is absolutely worth your time. Just don't take it so seriously.

The post-nuclear wasteland of Alaska is a dangerous place. You gotta walk tall and carry a big ass gun. He may be a man of few words, but Slade (Richard Norton) is the tallest SOB on the block! The Equalizer 2000 is wall to wall action with big explosions, brutal flamethrowers, and an infinite amount of bullets! Robert Patrick shines in his feature film debut. This unmistakably “B” movie is fun for sure…but is it badass?! Don't just watch Action, B-Action!!!!
Tue, April 01, 2025
Charlie rarely watches movies that never saw a VHS release but thankfully Anna made him sit down for the 2019 Ready or Not. Samara Weaving (woof. yes please) heads up a surprisingly gory "Cat and Mouse" affair that surprised us all how good it was on our first watch. This film is just so damn fun thanks to the original storyline, viciously hilarious kills and a cast that is having a bloody hoot make a horror movie. Anna's Banger Month of Annapril keeps it's momentum with this strong recommendation.

One look at Sisu should be enough for any reasonable to immediately deduce that in no way shape or for show you screw with this guy on any level. Phrases like "Yes, sir No, sir, May I help, sir, Thank you for not forcibly removing my spleen, sir" are all perfectly acceptable forms of communication with Sisu. Things like, "Imma shoot your dog, blow up your horse, steal your gold and burn down your country," are NOT what one would call a sensible conversation. Sisu is a film that flew under the radar for many action fans for the simple reason that a theatrical release shortly after the worst of the COVID pandemic killed the hopes and dreams of most films that weren't named Godzilla or Maverick. This film is worthy of being in a "Banger" month so please see the film before you listen. P.S. I know damn well that the main character's name isn't Sisu. Don't @ me. Sisu is way easier to remember than Aatami.

I AM THE GUYVER! AGAIN! Mikey from Monster Zone joins us to gush over 1994’s The Guyver 2: Dark Hero! Sean Baker is back, setting the tone with fighting crime and dishing out cans of whoop ass! As he struggles to coexist with the sentient alien armor within, the Cronos Corporation resurfaces! That means more Zoanoids, more amazing special effects, and more badass fight choreography! This one has its ups and downs, and no Mark Hamill tease, but we do get Steve Wang in the director’s chair who brings us a faithful Guyver adaptation! Don't just watch Action, B-Action!!!

200th Episode!!!! I'm still toweling off after the explosive love fest the cast had while covering Big Trouble in Little China. So so sticky. Anyways, it should come to no surprise that this is a favorite. It's weird, it's got monsters, kung-fu, guns, magic, sword fighting, I mean, what's not to like. This movie is THE BEST comfort food you could cinematically ingest. It's filling and you never get tired of the taste. Everyone seemed genuinely jealous that Pete got to see this in the theater until everyone realized how old he is and then they just felt sad. RIP Pete. It's coming quicker than you think.

Once a generation a film comes around that makes such an international impact on pop culture that one can't comprehend a world without it. The Wizard of Oz, Psycho, Jaws, The Godfather and Star Wars are all examples of films that have or will influence generations of creators and fans of the movie industry. We got two of these kind of films in the 90s. Jurassic Park and the Matrix are such pop culture phenomenon that it's inconceivable that we won't continue to see their fingerprints all over the movie industry for decades to come. Covering The Matrix this week was a special experience for the cast and we have a hell of a conversation. Probably the most interesting fact to pop up was the Anna hadn't seen the film since she was a kid and pretty much saw it for the first time. Final verdict: The Matrix is boss!

Did somebody say Future Cops!? Hell no they didn't, but if you're looking for a solid hour of badass 80’s action movie references and hilarious one-liners, we’ve got just the thing for you! 2018’s Commando Ninja! Practical effects, outrageous kills, and more action movie tropes than you can shake a power glove at make this one an instant classic! But remember, only a Commando Ninja can kill a Commando Ninja!

I won't say horror was dead in 1996 but it clearly had become stale and good scares with compelling stories were hard to come by. Blame it on Tipper Gore and the Parental Advisory movement or the fact that Hollywood was more interested in making a quick buck off aging franchises, horror in the mid 90s was just...meh. Thankfully some kid at a horror convention insulted Wes Craven by saying he wasn't scary anymore. Craven said, "Hold my beer, kid," and Scream was born. The horror community owes Scream a depth of gratitude that is unmeasured. Without Scream, I don't think horror would exist as we know it today. Anna is called the Scream Queen because she's got a great set of lungs. Anna is a bona fide Scream expert and she drives this conversation in the best direction. No matter how many times you've seen Scream, treat yourself and go watch it again before listening. You deserve it.

All good things must come to an end and sadly the Month of Pete is no exception. That is unless we can get a social media campaign going to make this the Year of Pete. Hey, that's a good idea! CALL TO ARMS! Fans! Friends! Family! Freaks! We need YOUR help! Please write to us on all the social media platforms (don't forget the upcoming OF site) and email the show that YOU want an entire year of Pete Picks. The Year of Pete will be a glorious event maybe only eclipsed by the creation of the Earth itself. I know you want this to happen but the only way it does is if YOU write in and let the corporate scum at the top know it's what YOU want. Better yet, record a short message and send it to gmbmampod@gmail.com . The more messages you send the better chance those corporate pigs at the top will have to bend to our will. We can force their hand but only if YOU let them know what the listeners really want, A YEAR OF PETE!!!! Make it happen friends. Oh yeah...we covered The Stepfather with special guest Erin from Manic Movie Monday!

There are no Ninjas like the AMERICAN NINJA! The Dudikoff abides in this 1985 action movie classic from the iconic Canon Group. Ninja stars! Ninja Lasers! Ninja Tire Irons! From a French crime boss with his very own evil Power Rangers training facility to Steve James grabbing Ninjas by the balls, there’s no end to the campy badass action in this blast from the past! Ninja vanish! POOF! Don't just watch Action, B Action!!!

You never know what film will pop up during The Month of Pete and...well... Pete picked the Bollywood modern classic "RRR" and it broke Nate. Broke him pretty bad. Sadly Anna was out sick and her shoulder wasn't available for Nate to cry on. Brian from Reviewing History returned to the show to sing the praises of the fictional epic featuring two of the most famous Indian folk heroes. Yes I said sing because this is a musical much to the trepidation of Charlie..until he watched it. Yes, somehow Pete found a musical that Charlie actually LIKED!!! Seriously, you'll never know what to expect with The Month of Pete. Charlie, Brian and Pete urge you to invest the time to watch the incredible visual spectacle that is RRR. Nate? Not so much.
Tue, February 11, 2025
Bruno Mattei is an infamous Italian director who's catalogue is full of some of the most egregious movie rip-offs of all time and this week's film, Cruel Jaws (aka Jaws 5) is no exception. Thankfully the cast was able to recruit Captain Steve from Bucket of Chum podcast to help us navigate through the confusing disjointed plot lines. Nate abandoned ship almost immediately and took Anna with him while Charlie, Pete and Captain Steve recognized the awfulness of the film and settled in for a good damn time. Don't let Nate's poopy diapers discourage you, three out of five hosts can't be wrong. Can we? I do encourage you to go watch it if just to see the blatant copyright infringement the movie is guilty of.

In a post apocalyptic, medieval, steampunk world, a man walking around with his own armory of weapons and a dark past arrives at a trading outpost cursed with a great evil that he's been hunting. Add in some industrial techno music, a gratuitous amount of somersaults, and a gigantic straight razor guillotine…and you've got 1999’s interpretation of the Old English epic poem BEOWULF! Didn't see that coming, did ya?! Come for the Christopher Lambert, but stick around for Grendel's hot MILF!!!
Tue, February 04, 2025
We start the MONTH OF PETE with special guest and fourth or fifth member of the Give Me Back cast, TROY! Now before roll your eyes and run for the hills because Pete is picking all the movies this month don't fear, he promised not to pick all Japanese hentai-body horror films this year. Maybe. Rest assured, however, he will pick four regretful movies that will test his friendship with cast and maybe finally get him kicked off the show. We start with a truly awful action flick from director Andy Sidaris full of bombs, beasts and boobs. LOTS of boobs. Like enough boobs to make even Pete say, "Yes, I know you have boobs. Can we focus on something else?" If not for Snake, you're genuinely better off just watching the ridiculous action clips on youtube.

Four years ago Charlie started a little show that covered both action and horror movies. Today it's still basically an action/horror podcast with a few new voices and a chaos that for some reason keeps YOU coming back every week to listen. In all seriousness, we are humbled that you waste...erm...invest your time listening to our dumb show. I hope that our enthusiasm, and many times our regret, for these films comes across to you in the best possible way. Without getting too sappy, we love and adore you all and look forward to interacting with you for years to come. Do you know what the BEST thing about our anniversary episode is? It's that next week starts THE MONTH OF PETE. See you soon.....

Big ass robots fight for territories as an alternative to war in a dystopian future. Need I say more? Ok, fine! Chainsaw penis’, transforming into tanks, rocket fists, a space chase, and barroom brawls! This one gets pretty dark for a kids film, but that’s why we love the 80’s! If that’s not enough then stick around as we discuss the anime inspirations and the impact this film has made on cinema history. We’re Robot Jox, CRASH AND BURN!

Friends, here's the thing, I really enjoy writing these paragraphs but when I run into a show where we start making jokes and the whole thing devolves into a giggle-fest it's really had to put together a coherent thought. How about this, Dustin from Flicks and Friends joins the cast and chaos erupts almost immediately. Your takeaways from this preview are 1. Go watch Chopping Mall. 2. download the show. 3. Forgive us for making you drive off the road as the laughter is infectious. You've been warned.
Tue, January 14, 2025
Welcome to 2025 and we start out the year celebrating Charlie's birthday month and he kicks off the party with a Bonified action Classic, Total Recall. Anna and Pete get all hot and bothered with the eye candy that is Sharon Stone and Michael Ironsides while Charlie and Nate swoon over a gun. Clearly Anna and Pete are clearly winning the podcast. We make our predictions as to if it's a dream or reality and giggle our way through a great conversation. If you haven't see this masterpiece then we won't judge...well...maybe a little...maybe a lot. Probably a lot. Just go see it and let Arnie goodness wash all over you.

A Canadian trucker with the ingenuity of Tony Stark and Batman’s desire for justice takes on a family of hillbilly hooligans after they cause the deaths of his entire family! His weapon of vengeance? The biggest, baddest Monster Truck you’ve ever seen on screen! We’ve got bar fights! We’ve got dummy kills! We’ve got big rig crashes! We’ve got Ned Beatty as a slimy owner of a strip club/bar/used car lot with hair that’ll have you craving a long drag off a Marlboro and a cold sip of Molson! So crank up the AC/DC and strap in for one hell of a ride! Don't just watch Action, B Action!!!
Tue, January 07, 2025
It's official, the first episode of 2025 brings HUGE news as we add Anna as our fourth host. The rumor was that there was an attempt to replace either Nate or Pete with Anna which was met by the simple statement, "Well, why not replace both?" Thankfully Anna insisted we make a foursome out of the show (her words. don't call HR on me) and our first episode landed with a beautiful blood fountain called The Substance. The cast collectively feel that this is one of if not THE best horror film in the past five years and we highly recommend that you watch it before listening. It's intense, sad, gory and uncomfortable. We loved it.

We were bound and determined to end the year with a bang so we devised a poll that couldn't fail. Picking between Bee Keeper, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Deadpool guaranteed that everyone wins and we would end the year with a bang. Even with some voter fraud, we landed what was probably the best action movie of the year. Bee Keeper is a throwback to the Cannon days of "Safety Be Damned," action movie filled with practical effects and real honest to god explosions. We even get probably the best "dummy fall" since Children of the Corn 2. Nate, Pete and Charlie giggle their way through a hell of a ride not because the movie is silly but because it's silly. Wait...does that even make sense? Never mind. Have a safe Holiday season and we'll see you in 2025.

The Hunt for the Death Merchant. Assault on Death Mountain. Shadow Warriors 2. What do these titles have in common? They’re the same film! Parker from Dissect that Film returns from our Assault on Devil’s Island episode to dissect the action and bad acting as it relates to Hulk Hogan himself! Will Dustin defend the Hulksters honor? Will Mickey finally profess his love for Martin Kove? Will Charlie ever recover from the buffet of B-Action in this film? Does any of this make any sense to anyone?! Join us to find out in our first sequel episode!!! Don't just watch Action, B Action!!!
Tue, December 24, 2024
Anna joins us again for this gush fest, or should I say SPURT-fest, for the ridiculous, absurd, many times stupid and infinitely entertaining Jason X. This movie is bad and the cast knows it but could care less because it's AWESOME. Arguably the best in the franchise with the exception of the genre establishing first four movies, Jason X is a joy. So much so that Nate went to Dairy Queen for a pre-recording Blizzard to celebrate. Does everybody remember that Nate is lactose intolerant because he didn't.
Tue, December 17, 2024
This week we cover the greatest Christmas Action movie since Die Hard... Ernest Saves Christmas. It's agreed that Ernest is a National Treasure however Nate is a bit of a Christmas curmudgeon. That doesn't spoil the the conversation in the least as we giggle our way through this ridiculous movie. Even Ed Marino thought it was a great show and if Ed thought it was great then you KNOW it's a ball.
Sat, December 14, 2024
If you want peace on Earth, there's only one man that can make it happen, CHUCK NORRIS. B-ACTION takes on Christmas with this week's pick, 1985’s Invasion USA! With this much badassery exploding off the screen we needed back up, and Logan of Video Villa Entertainment answered the call! So deck the bad guys with boughs of fists and bullets and have yourself a merry little rampage of revenge. Matt Hunter is coming down the chimney with awesome one liners for all the good little boys and girls…and roundhouses for the rest.
Tue, December 10, 2024
Brian from Reviewing History and our Scream Queen Anna join the cast to discuss one of the best vampire films ever. Yes, I said ever. No doubt this movie has it's flaws but far makes up for it's shortcomings with a rich story, creepy atmosphere, hopeless scenario and delicious gore. This film is anything but a traditional sexy vampire and the gang revels in the monstrous nature of these beasts. A must see for sure.
Tue, December 03, 2024
Bruce Willis deserves to be included on the Mt. Rushmore of genuine good guys from Hollywood. He's given us so much entertainment over the decades all while being an outstanding citizen and a kick ass father. It breaks our hearts that his health is failing but instead of wallowing in sorrow we're going to celebrate all the joy he's brought to us. Kathleen, Pete's partner in crime over at Good Beer Bad Movie Night, joins us to laugh and goof on arguable the best Die Hard in the franchise. Much like Raiders and Last Crusade, Die Hard 1 and 3 stand on equal ground in our eyes. We laughed so much in this episode that our sides are still sore. Simon says, "download now or a bomb will go off in a school."

In a galaxy far far away…Aliens beat the hell out of each other for money and fame in the Arena! Can Steve Armstrong, Earth's first legitimate contender in decades, overcome the seedy underground crime syndicate looking for an easy pay day?! Listen to us whisper sweet nothings about fight manger Quinn, recognizing Shorty’s rizz, and praise the awesome practical effects ranging from huge set pieces to fantastic creature creations! Don't just watch Action, B Action!
Tue, November 26, 2024
We have it on audio recording that this movie is NOT Pete's fault even though he picked the movie. Too bad Pete forgot to send it to Charlie in advance. Friends, this movie is bad. Even bad as compared to other bad martial art movies. It not recommended to see unless this is your kind of bad. The director, Godfrey Ho, is famous for taking the budget of one movie and then chopping it up and inserting it into several of other different movies and sending them over to the US for a quick buck. It is one of the more egregious examples as the story is incomprehensible even after several viewings. The best thing about this movie is that we covered it and had a blast doing so. Don't watch the film and just listen to us make fun of it.
Tue, November 19, 2024
One of the most action packed ninja movies in the past 15 years karate chops us right in the titties as Charlie and Nate gush over this mile a minute freight train of fists, blades and bitchin kyoketsu-shoge. Yeah, we can't pronounce it either but it's one of the coolest weapons we've had the pleasure to discuss. Pete paid respect to the film but really didn't like it. That's his freaking problem and we don't have time for that kind of negativity. Truly a masterpiece of action. Watch it then tune in to the show.
Sat, November 16, 2024
It’s Captain America and The Incredible Hulk vs a seedy underground cage fighting ring! Well, kinda. Reb Brown and Lou Ferrigno star in 1989s Cage, a film Wikipedia calls “Possibly the greatest movie ever made”! Did it live up to the hype? Is Lou Ferrigno possibly the greatest actor of all time? Is Al Leong a bad guy in this one? You'll just have to find out when you get into the cage with B-ACTION!
Tue, November 12, 2024
Ninja November was supposed to be pretty cut and dried. You needed a ninja in either an action movie or a horror movie. To complicate things slightly, Charlie said the movies had to have the word "ninja" in the title. Really not that difficult. This week, Nate was able to burn every podcasting host bridge by not only picking a movie WITHOUT ninja in the title but he also picked a movie WITHOUT a ninja. Anyways, Pete got his boobies, Charlie got his kill and Nate got demoted. Just a normal Monday night.
Tue, November 05, 2024
Cannon does it again. What did they do? They made a movie but in this case it's amazing...but not really...Did we like this? I think so. Maybe not. We brought the whole gang from B Action over to double check as well...did it help... Aww hell. Go watch it.
Sat, November 02, 2024
Billy Blanks and Bolo Yeung in an apocalyptic, dystopian future? Sign us the hell up! Anna and Hanna of the Cinema Slab Podcast use their Chi to help us break down the 1993 Action Sci-Fi film TC 2000! In a future destroyed by pollution the rich thrive underground while the poor fight to survive on the surface. What happens when webs of deception and evil schemes lead them all to a final all out war?! The only thing crazier than the badass fights and stunts is Billy Blanks’ haircut!
Tue, October 29, 2024
Have the words "bad boy" ever been associated with the name Ted Raimi? The answer is yes. Tune in to hear that and more on our last Halloween movie of 2024, Candyman.
Tue, October 22, 2024
Despite Pete and Troy's "sometimes, dead is better," watching, Nate insisted he try the necronomicon to resurrect Charlie. Did it work? Is the show better without Charlie? If a ghost boos in the forest, is anyone really scared? These questions and more might be answered in this exciting new episode....Hail to the King Baby!!!!
Fri, October 18, 2024
Zombies, martial arts, BEWBS, and maybe Hitler? That's one heck of a combination! 1982's Raw Force is a movie trope salad but is it all Dustin has hyped it up to be?! This episode gets out of hand FAST, but we do our best to stick the landing! Join the B.A.M.s as we dig out and polish the best Jade bits for a hilarious and extra spicy episode!!! Remember...Don't Just Watch Action, B Action!!!!!!!!
Tue, October 15, 2024
Nate brought back the Kid Friendly episode this week for our Month of Horror and the guys were joined by ladies from Cinema Slab to cover Casper. But that's not all this episode has in store...get ready for terrifying hosting, trains completely off the rail, spirit summoning and.....farts?! RIP Charlie. It was a good run while you were with us. Wait? You haven't heard? You better listen.
Tue, October 08, 2024
Five. Five technical difficulties is a record for an episode. Why were there so many technical difficulties? Sorry. No spoilers. Download this show now. There are at least Two Big reasons.....

He may be tiny but he's got a big…gun. It's B-ACTION’s first Double Feature! 1991’s Dollman and 1993’s Dollman vs Demonic Toys brings us the Full Moon treatment and a special guest Mikey aka Dollman Jr. (@specter) We go from intergalactic space travel to busting drug dealers and then from hooking up with the world's tiniest hottie to blasting possessed toys! WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?! Don't just watch Action, B Action!!!
Tue, October 01, 2024
There are movies that can shape a childhood if you catch them at the right time, case in point, The Lost Boys. As young men who walked to the beat of their own drum, this film spoke to Nate and Pete on a deep level and was absorbed into their souls as a critical memory. Charlie on the other hand, saw this in his twenties and while he still likes the film, it just doesn't have the same impact that Nate and Pete experienced. Our conversation is a fascinating study of how film affects a viewer differently at different stages of your life.
Tue, September 24, 2024
Charlie and Pete gush over the old school action / adventure picture The Vikings starring Hollywood royalty Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Ernest Borgnine and Janet Leigh. The film is a bad ass swashbuckling good time unless you're Nate. Don't be like Nate. Go watch this film. It's peak Golden Era of Hollywood!!!!
Fri, September 20, 2024
It’s JCVD at his best! Underground street fights! Peak 90’s fashion! The most adorable Little Orphan Annie performance! If you put your whole bet on any movie other than 1990’s Lionheart, well…“wrong bet”. Official JoeyC joins the B Action Boys to talk about wild fight scenes, surprisingly heartwarming moments and, uh, pent up sexual tension?! Don't just watch Action, B Action!!!
Tue, September 17, 2024
Charlie hates musicals. This much we know. Is The Wicker Man a musical? No. Is there a lot of singing in The Wicker Man? Absolutely. Are there a lot of bare boobs in The Wicker Man. You're damn right there is. Is Pete in trouble again for another questionable selection. Sort of. He's damn lucky Anna from Cinema Slab was there to support his claim that this is a horror classic.
Tue, September 10, 2024
Nate's final birthday pick was a bit of a head scratcher that turned into a giggle fest. Nate tossed a double feature at us and after the Feast debacle Charlie and Pete were not looking forward to this show. Turns out Nate picked a couple of unknown bangers...well...at least that's what Charlie and Nate thought. No joke, this show is 90% giggles and 10% trying to explain WTH is going on. I dare you not to laugh.
Fri, September 06, 2024
Explosions, chrome miniguns, and sharks in headlocks highlight this week's pick! Shadow Warriors or Assault on Devil's Island or whatever you want to call it is a 1997 made for TV movie starring Hulk Hogan, Carl Weathers, Shannon Tweed, and Trevor Goddard! Hulk Hogans #1 hater Parker of the Dissect That Film Podcast joins us to make fun of what may just be the epitome of “B Action”! Don't laugh just yet though, this one turns out to be better than advertised!
Tue, September 03, 2024
Roger Corman takes a swing at an Aliens ripoff only this time it's DINOSAURS! However without a team of bad ass Space Marines and Ellen Ripley, the cast drunkenly stumbles through their lines (literally in one case) and fails in spectacular fashion. One fantastic gory scene, a few dummy falls and off-camera grips throwing body parts at on-camera actors makes the film tolerable. Barely. We also drug Josh from The Evil Deaths back out to help cover this birthday pick for Nate's triumphant return!!!
Tue, August 27, 2024
What do you get when you get six people in a room who are both podcasters and good friends to watch a goofy movie from the 80s? Chaos, complete and utter chaos especially when Steven and Leo from Spoils of Horror uninvitedly "hack" into the show. Anna and Hannah from Cinema Slab do their best to reign in the madness but there's just no controlling Steven after a CrossFit and post workout protein shake. We knew before we started that this was going to be a long show so get comfy and enjoy the ride. Unedited and Uncut!!!
Fri, August 23, 2024
In a galaxy way out West there's a town called Oblivion. After an alien gang of bandits murders the sheriff and takes over the town, his pacifist gunslinger son is forced to return to deal with the aftermath. This one had us scratching our heads at times, but even so, it has some charm with familiar faces, funny gags, and a dash of Full Moon Features B-Movie magic! It's an action movie! It's a comedy! It's sci-fi! It's a western! It honestly has no idea what it is. It's 1994’s Oblivion! Don't just watch Action, B Action!
Tue, August 20, 2024
I...damnit, Pete. We give you a chance to pick a movie and THIS is what you pick? damnit...I can only blame myself. Vampyres is a British, low-budget, sexploitation, lesbian vampire horror movie with a paper-thin-hole-ridden plot. Anna joins us again and I'm so very sorry she had to watch this garbage film. If Pete's birthday month wasn't coming up, he'd be banned from picking movies for a loooong while. Damnit, Pete. What is wrong with you? Go get some help.
Sat, August 17, 2024
A huge THANK YOU goes out to our friends at ScreamBox for sharing a screener of the latest film from the producers of Turbo Kid, We are Zombies. Now, fair warning, this film is NOT Turbo Kid and I can't stress to you more that you can't compare the two, they're just very different movies. That said, the movie is a recommend when it comes out and we are very excited for you to let us know what you think. We don't really spoil anything but if you prefer to see the movie first it's available now.
Tue, August 13, 2024
Anna from Cinema Slab returns and we have an interesting conversation about the little known film, Neon City. It was a cold watch for all three of us and the film left us "whelmed." That said, it's still a soft recommend overall from the group. What left us wanting was made up for the "star" studded cast featuring Michael Ironsides, Lyle Alzado and Vanity along with other actors that you don't get to see very often outside TV. Is it great? Nope. Was it fun? Yes.
Fri, August 09, 2024
It's getting, it's getting, it's getting kinda hectic” as The Perfect Weapon, Jeff Speakman, punches and kicks his way onto the B-Action Podcast! This 1991 film brings Kenpo to the silver screen as Jeff finds himself in the middle of a Korean Gang War that will put his skills and morals to the test. This one put a big smile on all of our faces as Jeff Speakman delivers one liners and ass kickings to anyone in his way! Not to mention a stellar supporting cast of Mako, James Hung, Dante Basco, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and PROFESSOR TORU TANAKA!!! This is one episode that will leave you singing “I've got the power!”
Tue, August 06, 2024
Hannah and Anna from Cinema Slab joined us as we covered Brandon Cronenberg's Possessor and lemme tell you, this young director is a chip off the old block (RIP David Cronenberg). While Pete was struggling to complete whole sentences, the Cinema Slab gals delivered a rocking discussion about this very weird, thought provoking film. Even Charlie liked this movie and he hates the weird stuff. We urge you to watch Possessor before you listen and then join the conversation.
Tue, July 30, 2024
As The Month of Action comes to a close, Micky from The B-Action Movies podcast joined us to cover a seminal film in the genre. Rambo: First Blood part 2 not only paved the way for action movies moving forward but also solidified Sylvester Stallone as an iconic superstar. He was even kind enough to stop by and say a few words about his film. No joke. Just tune in to listen.
Fri, July 26, 2024
The B Action crew are joined by our underwater brother @captainstevecoates from @bucketofchumpodcast to cover another lost B Action classic. Hands of Steel follows Paco, a cyborg designed to assassinate but ultimately fights to regain his humanity. While on the run he finds himself embroiled in a small town Arm Wrestling circuit and must find a way to beat those that would see him defeated all while keeping his deadly secret hidden.... Don't just watch Action... B Action!!!! Month of Action *Eagle screech*

Whenever Josh and Bart...Bobby...Bert whatever your name is from The Evil Deaths Podcast show up, we can always expect the unexpected and this evening was no different. The only thing I know for sure is that we did get around to Kickboxer while talking about a bunch of other shit ranging from mildly related to wildly off subject. Thus is the insanity of the T.E.D. boys and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sword and Sorcery and double the muscles! That's right! The Barbarians are coming to B-Action! Logan of Video Villa Entertainment joins us to discuss the highs and lows of this 1987 adventure film starring The Barbarian Brothers, Peter and David Paul. There are some great laughs, epic feats of strength, and the weirdest phallic dragon we've ever seen…but man, it was cool! Stop by for the cheesy action and practical effects, but stay for our debate on Clowns vs Carnies! (They’re Carnies Dustin!)

With Nate out, Charlie and Pete invited our sisters from another podcast Anna and Hannah of Cinema Slab to join us this week. After the show the question of needing Nate at all if these gals are available came up several times. Just kidding, Nate. (Or am I?) Pete was predisposed to not like this movie because he's an anti-action jerk and surprised everyone with his views on the film. The four of us gush, giggle, get off-topic and gush some more. No kidding, the conversation is all over the place and completely wonderful.

The legendary Rutger Hauer is Nick Randall, a bounty hunter with attitude and a kick ass shotgun in 1987’s action thriller Wanted: Dead or Alive! As a former CIA agent, Randall is tasked by the FBI with bringing down the baddest of baddies, a terrorist by the name of Malak Al Rahim, played by The Demon himself, Gene Simmons. Doctor Love impresses with his acting chops and Rutger Hauer is…well Rutger Hauer. But can that star power and gritty brutality save a weak script? Find out with us at B-Action!

Funny how things just work out. Pete was all butt hurt that Roger Corman's Death Race 2000 got a "serious and gritty" remake in 2008. So butt hurt that he never gave it the time of day, so when Charlie made him watch it you knew shenanigans would develop and instead of just watching Death Race (2008) we decided to do a double feature with the OG, Death Race 2000 (1975). We chat about the differences and commonalities of both films and make each other giggle over how wonderfully dumb these movies can be. Nate's already regretting taking the month off. SUCKER!
Fri, July 05, 2024
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is Sam Hell, an outlaw that just so happens to be one the last fertile men on Earth. The ladies of Medtech offer him a clean slate if he'll help them repopulate society! One little problem though. A town of mutant frog humanoids are stirring up trouble in their path. It's a classic B-Movie with charm, bewbs, and some badass moments. With practical effects by the iconic Steve Wang, and all the Frogman action you can shake a stick at, Dustin gives this film 3 Dancing Snakes up!
Tue, July 02, 2024
Troy joins the cast for one of the best action movies of the mid-90s. True Lies is Arnold at his best mixing absurd action with a light comedy that doesn't feel like it's trying to tell a joke. James Cameron is flexing his directorial muscles harder than old Arnie ever could and brings us astonishing shots and bonkers stunts. It's a trifecta of writing, directing and acting. Can you tell we liked it?
Fri, June 28, 2024
Expect No Mercy from the B-Action Boys as we review this 1995 Billy Blanks and Jalal Merhi classic! Two FBI agents infiltrate a guild of assassins training with virtual reality and tons of racist stereotypes. There’s kicks! There’s guns! There’s an Iguana! With that trifecta, who needs acting lessons?! Apparently everyone, except that chick from the Walking Dead. Anyway, roundhouse kicks and one liners give this movie some charm and the Master of Tae Bo shows you some of his slightly better than average moves!

In what hopefully becomes a regular event, the Give Me Back boys have teamed up with our mates over at A Cut Above, Spoils of Horror and Cinema Slab to cover a wonderful franchise; this year it's Critters! Much like last year when we covered Children of the Corn 2, this year we got to watch the best of the bunch in Critters 2! So is Critters the best tiny monster franchise? Is it better than Gremlins? Three words: Giant-Critter-Ball-of-Death. Well, I guess that's five words. Gimme a break. I'm a podcaster not a math magician.
Tue, June 18, 2024
We know... we know.... We should have saved The Last Starfighter for our next "Kid Month" but Charlie pulled rank when he heard that it's been 40ish years since Pete's seen it and Nate can't remember if he had (spoiler, he hadn't). Even though it's really meant for kids, the nostalgia generated hit the cast like an avalanche and all the feels came bubbling to the surface. Have you ever heard a grown man swoon? Here's your chance.

This week the guys wanted Predator but Charlie said we had Predator at home as he brings RoboWar starring Reb Brown to the show. Explore the not so deep jungle and encounter not an alien with the guys as they smile and cheer their way thru a truly B Action movie. With a ton of bullets, explosions, and some of the best nicknames in the business...this is definitely worth your time!
Tue, June 11, 2024
Naked Space Vampires. Using those three words to describe a movie directed by Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) written by Dan O'Bannon (Alien and Return of the Living Dead) and this podcast is fully invested. So what happened? How did a movie of such potential fall short? Well for one, it was made by Canon Films and while we certainly enjoy many of their crazy films, Canon doesn't have much of a reputation for quality. Naked Space Vampires. We wanted so much more.
Tue, June 04, 2024
This one hit home for all of us. The Alien franchise is near and dear to all of our hearts and the world would be at a loss if not for these two films. At least that's what Pete thinks as he doesn't recognize any of the movies beyond Aliens. Pete's weirdness aside, we take a trip down memory lane and embrace the stories from our childhood and the fortunes we lost buying all the damn Alien merch over the years. Friends, this film, this episode is going to be tough to beat.
Fri, May 31, 2024
This week the guys set the bar super freaking high with a film so epic they brought backup to help cover it, 1995's Steel Frontier starring Joe Lara and Brion James!!! Join Charlie, Dustin and Mickey as they ride their motorcycles into the wasteland while covering an absolute forgotten gem of a movie that blends Sci-Fi with a perfect amount of Western flair! .....Death Riders!!!!!
Tue, May 28, 2024
The original plan was to have several short responses from our podcasting family to celebrate Pet Semetery, or is it Cemetery....if I was Sean Connery would it be Pet Shemetery? Would Daffy Duck say Phet Spfhemtery? Anywhoo, while our guests adhered to Nate's guidelines we clearly did not and the conversation turned into a wonderful rabbit hole filled with inappropriate jokes. So we hope you enjoy our take on a Podcast Tasting if you will with our friends: Cinema Slab The Evil Deaths Dissect That Film Flicks and Friends Podcast
Tue, May 21, 2024
We were able to pull Troy out of retirement to join us for the movie that put Jackie Chan on the map. There's a fine discussion whether or not this is Jackie's best movie but it's inarguable that Police Story is what caught the attention of moviegoers world wide and began the rise of an action star. It wasn't a huge surprised that this was a first watch for Troy but we all about fell off our chairs when we learned that this was also Charlie's first time. Easily, the best thing that came out of this episode is that Nate made it to the bathroom in time...or did he?
Fri, May 17, 2024
Welcome to the first episode of our new companion show B-Action where we put the 'B' back in action. Join hosts Charlie and Dustin as they lockdown the fantastic action sci-fi classic "Fortress" starring Christopher Lambert and Kurtwood Smith. Also the guys give a rundown of the new show and talk about what they have planned for this new venture...but yeah, they definitely dig into this B level flick and all its cheesy gory goodness!!!
Tue, May 14, 2024
The guys takes a turn from the fun action and horror movies we normally cover to a film that is dark, brutal and frankly difficult to watch. No not because it's bad but because it's horrifically real. 'I Saw the Devil' is a revenge film that pulls no punches when it comes to it's graphic subject nature. Explicit scenes of gore and violence topped off with several extreme scenes of *redacted* make this a challenge for even the the most veteran of horror fans which leads to one of our best conversations.
Tue, May 07, 2024
Much to everyone's surprise, Pete did actually watch the correct film. He owned up to his mistake last week and we had a ripper of a chat. Did Arnold "pass the torch" to The Rock in this picture? Has The Rock since taken up the mantel? Is The Rock still the action star we all want and deserve? Stay tuned, true believer, and get this show in your ears right away. We may or may not answer these questions. Maybe. I don't remember.
Tue, April 30, 2024
After the Deep Star Six debacle, Charlie employed Steve from the Bucket of Chum Podcast as the naughty-cal ringer and there was no way in hell was Nate going to blow bubbles at Leviathan without a net. Leviathan doesn't hide the fact that it's catfishing movies like Alien and The Thing and thankfully it's executed well enough to mount on your wall. While the film won't leave you gasping for air, it certainly lands in all the right places. It's nothing short of a great conversation even if Nate throws shade at Sigourney Weaver for the halibut.
Tue, April 23, 2024
This movie selection for the Month of Chaos was again won by Charlie, nah nothing sus here, and when it was announced that Highlander 2 was the movie, Nate and Pete double-downed on the legitimacy of the wheel that Charlie built. Then Nate puts his foot in his mouth and suggests that we watch both versions, which Pete had no idea existed and also surprised no one. Regardless of what we each thought, our conversation is spirited and several giggle fits ensued. So please enjoy this unusual Double Feature of one movie.

Dracula: Dead and Loving it Man, comedy's are hard to cover. We tried really hard not to devolve into just repeating lines that cracked us up. When I say tried I mean we had the intention and did it anyways. Film #3 for the Month of Chaos was a welcome surprise as we had the pleasure to see Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving it. Admittedly, this is not Mel's best film but it's still Mel Brooks and we all howled with laughter a number of time. The surprise of the show is Nate's admission that Leslie Neilson is "his Dracula" much like Connery is your favorite Bond or MosuGoji is your favorite Godzilla suit. We also, hee hee, GUSH about one of the funniest scenes in cinema history. Go listen to find out what that is but if you've seen the film you can probably guess.
Tue, April 09, 2024
Movie #2 for the "MONTH OF CHAOS" is an obscure one from Charlie. Denzel Washington and Russel Crow play an exciting cat and mouse game in a movie that desperately wants to be Demolition Man / T2 but without the charm. None of us hated this film but it did leave us a little wanting; wanting it to end that is. That's not fair because the film wasn't bad but rather it dealt us an endless Lord of the Rings multiple ending montage. It's a soft recommend from all of us especially if you're nostalgic for 90s dodgy CG attempts.
Tue, April 02, 2024
Hi friends, Pete here. So...I'm told we recorded an episode covering Carnosaur. I love this stupid movie but it appears that my evil twin Blete slipped me a mickey and took over in my absence. I don't take any responsibility for his actions and Blete has been captured and returned to the asylum from whence he came. Even Josh from The Evil Deaths didn't know what to do with Blete. Any questions, concerns or cries of outrage and be directed to the Give Me Back My HR Department at Charlie@gmbmahm.com . Thank you for your patience while we work this out.

Cowabunga, dudes! This is a special episode that is a love letter to anyone that grew up with the Turtles. We gush over our love for this group of outcasts that have a special place in our hearts and how pivotal they were in our childhood. This is our final send off to a fantastic month of kid friendly movies, each episode was filled with laughs, emotions and most importantly...heart. We hope you have enjoyed this month with us, and look forward to hearing about your memories with these Ninjas. And remember.... Pizza dudes got 30 seconds

While Charlie and Nate were able to rent this underappreciated gem of a movie in their formative years, Pete was late to the show having seen it for the first time just a year ago at the behest of Charlie. What a ride. Had it had more time to spit polish and not gotten buried behind the release of Jurassic Park, the gang feels this could have been one of those films in everyone's regular rotation. Which makes this movie a strong recommendation. Sadly this concludes our "Kid Friendly" month, but that has apparently sent Nate into a little melt down since he didn't get his Power Rangers and he decided to not add TMNT to the poll. His threats all month to leave the show are just him blowing off steam and is nothing to concern ourselves with....
Tue, March 19, 2024
Possibly the ultimate gateway horror movie for kids is The Monster Squad. While parts are certainly a "product of their time" as long as you have the conversation with your kiddos as to why some of the language and actions of the boys are NOT acceptable, this movie brings everything a young fan could want in a friendly digestible manner. Or is it? Those of us who grew up with this film will fiercely defend it as a classic but those just finding it and watching it through adult eyes may not be as keen. Dustin and Paul from the Flicks and Friends podcast drop by to gush over the film with us.
Tue, March 12, 2024
For our second choice in our Kid's Month, Parker from Dissect That Film joined the cast for a family friendly love fest as we gush over Disney's Three Musketeers. Yep, you heard that right, we just covered a Disney movie and oh boy is it fun. Honestly, The Three Musketeers skirts the edge of what can be considered kid-friendly with it's mostly bloodless violence and adult themes (boobs, boobs and more boobs) but so did Pirates of a Caribbean so it's not unheard of. Apparently Pete wasn't done with driving the show and tried to take control out of Charlie's hands. He's now on Double Triple Secret Suspension.
Tue, March 05, 2024
Gremlins is a bona fide classic, heck, it helped create the PG-13 rating in America but when you say Gremlins 2 you typically get eye-rolls and groans of displeasure. How terribly wrong these nay-sayers are. In their defense, these scrooges were probably expecting more of what the first film gave us and weren't aware that Gremlins 2 is very much a spoof. If you haven't revisited this film in a while we urge you to go back with fresh eyes and bask in the glory of this ridiculous movie.

As the Month of Pete winds down we are both relieved and saddened to see it go. With movies like HK: The Forbidden Superhero, we can only pray it can't get worse but then shocks us as he introduces films that are so much fun we can't contain ourselves. Right out the gate, he hits us with 7th Curse, which is a legit classic but then ends the month with a movie that so wholly encompasses our childhood that it feels like a smack across the face with a big rubber nostalgia d!ck. Hmmm.. maybe I should rethink my metaphor. Josh from The Evil Deaths podcasts joins us this week as Pete selected Super Inframan and we are over the moon. The Shaw Brothers movie studio out of Hong Kong is beloved by all who even passively enjoy the kung fu genre but the magic of this film is that it blends ridiculous martial arts camp seamlessly with Japanese tokusatsu. What's tokusatsu? Just think Power Rangers and you know exactly both what I mean and what you're getting into. Don't think too hard about this film. Just enjoy.
Tue, February 20, 2024
Horror, like comedy, is subjective and personal. What disturbs or horrifies one person can harmlessly bounce off another. Case in point is this weeks selection in the Month of Pete. Dark Water is hailed as one of the seminal examples of J-Horror from the early 2000s along with the likes of Ju-On and Ringu. The dread and madness of the film that delighted Troy and Pete fell completely flat for Charlie and Nate. Even though Charlie and Nate wanted desperately for this movie to speak to them, the film just didn't. It's not that they didn't "get" it, it just wasn't their cup of tea. Troy and Pete do sing the films praises and the entire gang was split down the middle. Dark Water is a slow burn that never really has a climax but rather an ending that you will need to decide for yourself if it's satisfying.
Tue, February 13, 2024
Pete. That bastard. He did it again. After picking the marvelous 7th Curse as his first "Month of Pete" movie he goes and picks a movie so utterly awful that Nate and Charlie want to replace his ass as a host as soon as possible. The application process is pending so be on the look out. Pete...ugh...damn you Pete...picked another live action anime film that puts Cutie Honey to shame. I hate you Pete. This week we were subjected to the indescribable and unforgivable dumpster fire called HK: The Forbidden Superhero. Pete is once again on probation and prohibited from selecting movies for the foreseeable future once February is over. The funniest thing is that Pete thought that by asking Troy back on the show that he would help his incorrect decision making us watch this movie. While Troy was lukewarm at best, Pete did find a ringer that legitimately helped out the cause. He had to literally go half way around the world to bring on Reuben from Good Beer Bad Movie Night: Australia. That's right, Australia. We have listeners in Australia. Amazing. While Reuben was a genuine delight to have on, he, like Pete, is dead wrong about this movie. If the next two Pete Picks aren't a vast improvement from HK: The Forgotten Superhero he's gonna get replaced. Probably by Reuben. Probably.

And now its time for the grand finale of us covering the release of "Here for Blood".... Our interview with the man himself 'Tom' played by the awesome Shawn Roberts. Listen along as Charlie and Nate get down and bloody with the badass babysitting wrestler turned sex pervert/zombie basher in this Screambox original movie. Here for Blood is available now on VOD, Screambox, and limited theaters....definitely go check this movie out!!!!
Tue, February 06, 2024
God bless Tubi! Without you, The Seventh Curse would be nearly impossible to find....well...by ethical means I suppose. In the first film of this year's "Month of Pete," we are joined by Troy from Good Beer Bad Movie Night and Dustin from Flicks and Friends. Not because Pete needed the back up for The 7th Curse but because the movie is so wonderfully bonkers that he wanted to share it with all his friends. Do you like Kung fu? Do you like horror? Do you like boobs? If yes, then this is the movie for you. Make sure to watch it on Tubi first because we're not sure you'll be able to follow the plot as the gang belly laughs over the insanity.
Mon, February 05, 2024
Guys! Guys! I think we finally made it as a podcast. Know why? We got our first screener to review!! No kidding. Here for Blood is coming out on streaming, VOD and it's also getting a limited theatrical release. We can't stress to you enough to go watch it in a theater if you can because it a freaking blast. I'm not going to spoil it because you absolutely need to check it out. If over the top violence and gore makes you giggle then this is your film. It drops on February 9th so be on the look out.
Sat, February 03, 2024
Join us as we converse with the mind behind “Here for Blood” the latest Screambox exclusive that drops in select theaters, VOD, and Streaming on Screambox February 9th. James Roberts discusses with us how he got into writing and the surprise writer that helped inspired him. Find out why he wanted to have a pro wrestler beat up some baddies and of course what Shrek film he enjoys the most. Plus stay tuned all week for more special episodes of "Here for Blood" interviews and our spoiler free review!!!

The cast is humbled and grateful for such an incredible family of listeners and collaborators. Three years doesn't sound like a long time but we've talked about so many movies and made so many friends that we don't even know where to begin. We can't express how much it means to the team that you took the time to send us such nice anniversary wishes. Literally we could not do this without you. Thank you and we love you all. Let's make this year as bad ass as we can.
Tue, January 23, 2024
Luckily, Charlie brought in some backup for his horror movie birthday pick. We were all delighted to welcome Corey from Podcasting After Dark on the show for the first time. Hardware is..well..it's a movie and the four of us were split on if it was good or not. Regardless of our opinion, we had a spirited discussion that is a must for your ears.
Tue, January 16, 2024
The 1995 Judge Dredd film has been derided by loyal Dredd fans since it's release. In 2012, a new adaptation hit the screens that is vastly more faithful and inarguably a better movie. So here's what we need you to do, go watch this film for the ridiculous 90s action movie that it is and forget the comic "Judge Dredd" part. If you can do this, I promise a good time.
Tue, January 09, 2024
Brotherhood of the Wolf is based on a legend from the 1600s French countryside which makes it way more interesting then the film actually ended up being. This tale has been told a number of times, most famously by Sir Arthur Conon Doyle in his Sherlock Holmes novel "The Hounds of the Baskerville," or at least that's what Pete thinks, it's a dubious claim at best. The real trouble with the movie is how damn long it is and at two and a half hours it's a challenge to get through in one sitting. Nostalgia is a powerful mistress and it firmly has it's grips on Nate as he remembered fondly how bitchin' this film truly can be. Still, with all it's problems, the movie has it's high points, I mean, at the very least, the "werewolves" didn't have machine guns.
Tue, January 02, 2024
What is there to say about T2 except "WOW!" It's damn near a perfect movie and the guys just gush about everything. From the film to the toys to the comics to the video games (well maybe not the video games) this movie has it all. There's even a healthy discussion about how this could be the perfect gateway for younger folks to get into action movies. The best part is that Charlie, Nate and Pete got to watch this masterpiece together. What a way to start out the year.
Tue, December 26, 2023
Pete certainly has a type when it comes to movies. Films that are atmospheric, subtitled, beautifully shot and much of the time have something to say other than the surface plot. While Troll Hunter is a flawed movie, it's still impressive for what they pulled off on such a small budget. Caution: this is a found footage film that both suffers and succeeds within the genre but the good outweighs the bad and it's a strong recommend....at least from two of us.
Tue, December 19, 2023
Nate and Pete totally missed the boat seeing Violent Night in the theaters. They couldn't quite put their fingers on why the marketing just didn't pull them in but thanks to Charlie's constant encouragement (beratement, nagging, call it what you like), the two bumbleducks finally did see this masterpiece and have added it to their annual holiday movie celebration. I'm sending you all the best present ever by telling you to see this film if you haven't already! If you don't see it right away then you'll be on the naughty list and that means you'll have to watch the Feast Trilogy.
Tue, December 12, 2023
Dead Snow 2 is a wild ride not without it's flaws. The kills and gore rival Turbo Kid in ridiculousness and absurdity. With it's twist on the modern day vision of zombies, this is a must see film for your next drinking night with your friends. Don't listen to Charlie, this one is a whole lotta fun.
Tue, December 05, 2023
While "I Come in Peace" (aka Dark Angel) isn't a classic in the usual sense, it's certainly a must see for a pizza and beer night with your movie friends. Literally this is a buddy cop movie with drug dealing space aliens as the antagonist and it's as absurd as it sounds. A shirtless Dolph Lundgren doesn't hurt either. It's definitely a strong recommend for your next alcohol fueled movie night.
Tue, November 28, 2023
Sorry folks. We had plans to cover a trilogy of movies this week but instead sat through a tire fire that almost drove the show off a cliff. It was still a fun conversation and we regret nothing except for the fact that we lost nearly four hours of our lives watching one of the worst trilogies ever put to celluloid. Under no circumstances should you watch all three Feast movies, not even out of morbid curiosity. You've been warned. Please just listen to the show and save your time and sanity. Eff this trilogy...or as Charlie said in the group chat "Triple eff these movies"!!!!!
Tue, November 21, 2023
Cliffhanger was a first time watch for Nate and Pete and they were honestly a little disappointed they missed this on the big screen. To be fair, the plot premise on the surface is lacking but the film is surprisingly exciting. Is it a Die Hard clone, of course it is. The film doesn't try to hide that fact but still, it's a lot of fun for it's absurd physics defying action sequences. If you don't take it too seriously you're sure to have a good time with this wonderful popcorn film.
Tue, November 14, 2023
OMG! Where has this movie been all my life??? Well Charlie saw it but the dynamic dingos, Nate and Pete, had never been graced with the glory of the Wishmaster. Thank goodness that's been corrected and we couldn't be happier that it's now part of our lives. Is it a great film? Not really. Is it entertaining AF? You betcha. If you haven't, go see this right now. Go on now. Go to Tubi. Watch it. I'm warning you. I will turn this car around!!!
Tue, November 07, 2023
Executive Decision has a lot of things going for it, star-studded cast, impressive miniatures and effects, stunning cinematography, excellent action and a story that is all too real. So why isn't it recognized as one of the great action movies of the 90s? Is it too long? Is Steven Segal an ass? Is Nate a nut job? Tune in as we try to explore those and other questions in this episode. P.S. I'm pretty sure we all know the answer to that last question.
Tue, October 31, 2023
This week Nate insisted we cover The Crow for Halloween even though Ernest Scared Stupid also takes place on All Hallows Eve and is way more of a horror movie. But good news, Troy also dropped in for this big screen adaptation of the classic action/revenge comic book. Strap in folks. This one's a ride for sure. "It can't rain all the time...."
Tue, October 24, 2023
Ernest Scared Stupid is without a doubt easy to love on every level. Is it dumb? Yes. Is it childish? Of course. Are there plot holes? Sure. But even with all it's "faults" it's quite possibly the perfect gateway movie to get young cinephiles into the horror genre. Jim Varney as Ernest P. Worrell is a delightful living Loony Tune character, the world lost one of the good ones too soon and we miss him dearly. Do yourself a favor and start making this film a family holiday tradition. Happy Halloween
Tue, October 17, 2023
Starting in 1958, British movie studio Hammer rolled the dice and put forth their best effort in reviving the classic characters Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy for a new generation. Horror of Dracula was their first film and they knocked it out of the park. With jaw-dropping sets, buxom babes, sweeping musical scores and legendary performances from the likes of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Hammer Studios definitely hit the floor running with a true classic catapulting our favorite monsters back in to the spotlight.
Tue, October 10, 2023
This week's Spooky Month episode wasn't very difficult for Charlie to pick. Because once again he was able to blend Action and Horror with the help of one of his favorite directors take on vampire movies with... John Carpenter's Vampires. Join the guys as they dive into 90s era Carpenter and find out just how much Charlie loves this particular time of Carpenters career much to Pete's chagrin.
Tue, October 03, 2023
Even though the film was in production hell for well past these franchise's experation dates, the excitement for a Freddy v Jason movie was through the roof. The frenzied anticipation was too much for even these icons of cinema and fair or not, the film fell flat with the fans. Keenly aware that I'm quickly running out of alliterations, we'll simply say this; Freddy v Jason isn't as good as it could have been but it's really not as bad as it's been called. For heavens sake, it's a supernatural slasher, don't take it so damn seriously, bitch. But to make sure we had all our bases covered we invited the hosts of CinemaSlab, Anna, Hannah, and Hunter to come on and give their opinions as well!

There comes a time where every boy must become a man. It’s a time of passage that is passed on from generation to generation. Now at the ripe age of 35 it is time for Nate to take that step into manhood by watching Desperado. Even though his parents told him he’s not allowed to watch this one.... Shows what they know! He'll watch whatever he wants and stay up as late as he wants. So join the guys as they cover quite possibly the sexiest action movie ever for Nate's final birthday pick.... Desperado.
Tue, September 19, 2023
Since his arrival Pete's been guilty of trying to bring some class to the podcast by selecting films that have something to say or are even artful. Much to the delight of Charlie and Nate this is not one of those times. Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers is as advertised. Hookers from Hollywood killing John's with chainsaws. That's it. Boobs, blood and...well...boobs. It's definitely a strong recommend for a hilariously good time!
Tue, September 12, 2023
You may not know it but movies and television like Kill Bill, 13 Assassins, and The Professional, The Mandalorian and The Last of Us all owe Lone Wolf and Cub a great debt of gratitude even if Charlie and Nate wrongly dislike it. Thankfully the cultured stylings of Troy and Pete were able to team up with the Reviewing History Podcast's Brian Ruppert to set them straight. We talk about the Edo Period of Japanese history and examine the classic samurai tale and it's relationships to modern cinema. Oh and did I mention the glorious blood fountains cause we got those too. So many blood fountains.

The time has come. It is Nate and Pete’s birthday month! After a month of Neon we now take a step into celebrating these two knuckleheads birth! If you had the ingredients to make a Nate you would take equal parts; humor, gore, horror, and metal. Throw those in a bowl and stir. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes and you get a Nate. Which is why Deathgasm is the perfect horror movie for his first selection. This episode turns into a love letter of being an outcast and the special bond we find in music and movies. Brothers of Steel!!!!!

Throughout cinema history films such as 2001, The Ten Commandments, Seven Samurai, King Kong, The Matrix and Jurassic Park are of such a quality that you can only feel lucky that you were alive to experience them. Is Turbo Kid such a movie? In our eyes it was.... We won't spend a lot of time singing it's praises here but instead encourage you to go watch this cinematic masterpiece (all Hail Tubi) and then tune in to listen the podcast to hear four lovable dummies gush about it. And remember...There's a Thunder in your Heart!!!!!
Tue, August 22, 2023
So this week Charlie suggested a cold watch for the guys based solely on the title.....Neon Maniacs. Nate was reluctant, Pete had no clue but Charlie was relentless for some reason to include it in The Month of Neon...come on just look at the title. But be warned now...we highly recommend you watch this movie first (all hail Tubi) before you listen to this weeks episode. Or you can be the rebel we know you are and just throw caution to the wind to hear our reactions of this mostly forgotten 80s horror movie. It's definitely not what any of us expected...but you'll have to listen to find out if that's a good thing or a very very bad thing. Enjoy!!!!

What does Nate getting a haircut, the Fan Favorite from Ink Master season 12 & 14, and a movie that was already covered in the first year of the podcast all have in common? Well that's the exact circumstances that led to the guys covering 'Con Air' as an extra special bonus episode this week! Charlie and Nate are joined by none other than artist/tattoo extraordinaire Creepy Jason himself in this non stop action thrill ride. Tune in to find out how this unholy trinity of Nic Cage fans came to be and listen along as all of them gush about this movie (good and bad) and just revel in the gloriousness of 90s action movie excessiveness. Huge shout out to our Death Metal brother Mike at VHS for being the catalyst for this Bonus Episode!!!
Tue, August 15, 2023
This week the guys step into a psychedelic world of a murderous cult and a man hell bent on revenge. Mandy has been an extremely polarizing film since it’s release. A film that truly falls under a love it or hate it umbrella. This time we recruited Jeff from Suns and Shadows to help cover this color soaked movie. Prepare to scream along with us in a bloody passion of love and vengeance. The only way Nic Cage can present.
Tue, August 08, 2023
This week begins our month of Neon as designed by our very own Nate. Every movie will have a very distinct color palette that sets it apart from the run of the mill movie experience. Our first selection is Psycho Goreman, a movie that.....******static****** "Pathetic humans using airwaves to spread my message of death and destruction. Foolish cowards that believe they tell my tale. Their feeble brains can only hold a fraction of the doom I bring. The torment I bring will be considered a gift compared to listening to this feeble rodent podcast. I will sit upon my mighty throne and vanquish any whoever recommend this show to me again."

This week we wanted to do something a little different, we wanted to do a true double feature. But not the kind we've done before when we cover two movies on one show...no, we wanted to cover two movies on two separate shows. We joined forces with A Cut Above: Horror Review show to cover the best possible double feature that fit both shows.... Grindhouse- featuring Planet Terror on their show and Death Proof right here. Both episodes are being released the same day so you the listener can experience a true Double Feature Podcast!!! On our show we dig into the Carpocalypse stylized side with Death Proof starring Kurt Russell in a super high octane, non stop ride of carnage directed by the man himself Quentin Tarantino. After that head over to A Cut Above to hear the rest of the story with Planet Terror directed by Robert Rodriguez. So join us and A Cut Above as we cover two fantastic grindhouse style movies (it doesn't matter which you listen to first either).
Tue, July 25, 2023
Well we've finally come to our final Month of Action movie selection. This weeks pick was purely for the love and nostalgia of 80s action movies and with that in mind I could only pick one movie.... "MegaForce"!!!! Join the guys as they relive their childhoods and watch a movie every 12 year old boy wished that he had wrote but reenacted it scene for scene in the backyard. We show our love for practical effects, miniatures, and some of the corniest dialogue captured on celluloid. We also receive a special message from our bothers over at $2 Late Fee because when it comes to MegaForce there's no else who loves this movie more than we do.... And remember, "The Good Guys Always Win.....even in the 80s"!!!!!!
Tue, July 18, 2023
There always seems to be an argument in the world that sequels are lesser parts than their original. We here at Give Me Back My Action Movies disagree with this ideology! This week we recruited some help with @phatsamurai and his action knowledge to breakdown "What happens when the buddy cops return?" So strap yourself to your toilet (check for bombs first) and be prepared for a non stop thrill ride. Huge thank you to The Phat Samurai for coming onto the show! He’s a truly amazing human, and we can’t wait to have him on more. Be sure to check out his YouTube page and social media sites. The man is busy with content!

Pop quiz hotshot.... You takeover a podcast with an entire month of actions movies...What is the most important movie you can cover?! Easy...'Speed' of course! Strap in and brace yourselves as the guys take you on a ride that is a high energy action packed film worthy of being called a Summer Blockbuster. This week we were able to get Troy back on the show and he brought an amazing surprise with him, so awesome we're not gonna spoil it here. We also have one of our most fun and inventive homework sessions ever as well some great rips down the memory highway. So join us as we drive head-on into The Month of Action as we cover 'Speed'!!!!
Tue, July 04, 2023
This month Charlie has taken it upon himself to declare July the "Month of Action", horror always gets its spotlight in October so he decided that action needed a spotlight as well. And what better way to kick it off than to pick a movie with as many action stars as possible... Expendables 2!!!! But Charlie wasn't done there because he also brought a special guest this week, Eoin from The Action Elite (actionelite.com) to help ring in this newly appointed month. Listen along as Charlie compares the movie to an 'R' rated GI Joe film and how Nate and Eoin team up against Charlie with their critiques about certain aspects of the movie. Its a fun time as we get to enjoy watching our hero's all together on the big screen larger than life!!!
Tue, June 27, 2023
Anytime you sit down to watch a Cronenberg film you can always count on seeing something gross, disturbing or both...Usually both. Scanners has possibly one of the most famous practical gore effects in cinematic history. Even if you haven’t seen Scanners, you probably have seen this head explosion. The film is considered a classic by many horror fans but how does Charlie, Nate and Pete feel about it? How exciting is it to watch two full grown men stare at each other for 30 minutes? I’m not telling. You’ll just need to tune in.
Tue, June 20, 2023
The Raid obviously needs no introduction, as a film that took action fans by total surprise and gave the genre a much needed shot in the arm. It's also a film that Nate got to introduce to Pete once he discovered Pete had never seen this one before. And what better time to cover a modern martial arts movie than after doing one from the 70s with Monkey Kung Fu. So please enjoy this fast paced action packed episode! Join the guys as they express how much pain they would be in from every punch and kick this movie throws at you.
Fri, June 16, 2023
We wish we were covering this movie under better circumstances but unfortunately we recently lost Ray Stevenson. So Charlie and Nate decided to honor him the best way they knew how and make a bonus episode covering one of the most over the top ultra violent comic book movies to date.... Punisher: War Zone. The guys dig into what makes this version of the Punisher stand out amongst all the others and why after all these years they both still come back to this one time and time again. We are all saddened by Rays passing but take comfort in the legacy he left on film, so please enjoy our episode of Punisher: War Zone!!!
Tue, June 13, 2023
In the Summer of 2023, 3 podcasters went missing while trying to uncover the secrets of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Uh, well…The Next Generation) A film made by one half of the original movie team. Where does this movie stand in the very confusing timeline of TCM? Has this truly been a cult classic the entire time or is it the lowest point of the franchise? It did get a release from Shout Factory after all!
Tue, June 06, 2023
Podcasting is full of surprises, take for example the three surprising questions that popped up this week as we watched Monkey Kung Fu. First, if you had to guess, how many Shaw Brother Kung Fu movies released in 1979 have Monkey Kung Fu in the title? Second, "can a Kung Fu movie have too much Kung Fu?" And third, are Charlie and Nate mad at Pete again for picking another shitty film? Honest, these are questions the boys answered in this episode of 'Give Me Back My Action Movies'. That and a lot of silly filler since the movie was devoid of any plot whatsoever. Tune in and giggle along.
Tue, May 30, 2023
Our Creature Feature/Apocalypse month has not gone exactly as plan. Nate went rogue and bashed almost everything this month, Pete was in the middle of the road, and poor Charlie watched his heart get stomped on repeatedly. But a shining light (Bugzapper is more like it) was discovered. A giant bug (Wasp....thanks Nate) movie that the trio had never seen before that contained some amazing practical effects. (We will truly never know if Pete had seen this before or not) Could the month still be saved and our triumphant trip rally us together in a movie that hopefully answers the "Give Me Back" battle cry??!....probably not but we can guarantee this episode will be a helluva ride!
Tue, May 23, 2023
This week the guys cover another Post Apocalyptic movie called 'Steel Dawn', starring the always graceful yet completely badass Patrick Swayze. But its not just Patrick having to be a heroic Nomad this episode because Charlie found himself standing alone in his love of this 80's Sword and Sandal adventure. Nate and Pete unfortunately sided with the ever evil Hordes and tried to rip Charlies nostalgia to shreds just like how Danmil and Sho tried to destroy everything Nomad chose to defend....but they were unsuccessful in their treacherous plans as Charlie stood strong, unwavering in his resolve that Steel Dawn deserves to be counted among the action classics. So grab a cold glass of water, charge up your solar wind rider and enjoy this weeks discussion of another 80s VHS classic!
Tue, May 16, 2023
It's been teased long enough! This week Charlie was able to bring his very first 'R' rated monster movie to the podcast..."Deepstar Six". A movie that neither Nate nor Pete had seen before ( I know shocking right?!) but even tho it's one that Charlie has seen numerous times over the years he still found a new experience to share with everyone. Listen along to find out what Nate and Pete thought of one of the first undersea creature features of 1989 (there were several that year) and finally hear the story from Charlies childhood that forever shaped his love for monsters and movies!!!
Tue, May 09, 2023
This week Charlie and Nate are left unsupervised so they decided to cover the 2008 movie 'Doomsday', a movie Charlie has been wanting to cover for awhile. Listen along as the boys dive into another Neil Marshall helmed film and join Charlie as he starts his journey into what Nate really thinks of this director. And while Pete was unable to attend fret not because he did manage to watch the movie and even sent over his shocking review!!! Please don't forget to subscribe and rate us as well as search for us on YouTube (GMBMAHM) to check out our new series "The Tubi Files".
Tue, May 02, 2023
And so begins a month long journey into creatures that hold a special place in our hearts. First up we have Tremors which is a very near and dear movie to Nate, Charlie and Pete. Find out why this movie has captivated the guys and the world for so many years, and hear about a love for cinema beginning at a very young age. There’s another special guest on this episode that you do not want to miss out on, trust us. Throw on your cowboy hat and boots, grab your elephant gun and climb the tallest building in your vicinity as the guys dig into.....'Tremors'.
Tue, April 25, 2023
We did it!!! We have finally arrived at our 100th episode of the podcast (not counting interviews). With so many great movies still to cover there is only one that could be our 100th movie....Demolition Man!!!!! A movie so great even Pete was excited to cover it along side myself and Nate as dove head first into pure action movie greatness. We talk about the many similarities of now versus then and how close the filmmakers were with getting scary accurate about what the future may hold. This episode turned into what we've decided to call our Giant Sized Episode with it being on the longer side, but fret not! We just couldn't help ourselves cramming a ton of content into the 100th and we even end the episode with an interview we guarantee no one will want to miss!!!
Tue, April 18, 2023
Nate found a way to get back at Pete for the Cutie Honey incident of 2023. (We try our best to not bring up such harsh memories) Cube at first does not seem like a likely choice for us to cover, but you'll be surpised at the history this movie has with each host and special guest Troy of Good Beer Bad Movie Night. Pete thought bringing in back up would help, and he was sadly mistaken!

NoES3 Sometimes nostalgia turns out to be rose colored glasses that paint the past favorites in a positive light only to let us down in our adult lives. Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors it anything but a letdown and the boys pee their pants singing the praises of this film. Well...maybe only Nate pee'd. This talk could still be going on had Charlie not reeled everyone in and made us do the bits. Frankly, the banter was going on so fast and loose that I can't remember what the heck we talked about but I promise it was a hoot. ....bitch
Tue, March 28, 2023
Charlie demanded an old school movie this week. There were no negotiations....period! So he tricked Nate into finally watching a movie he’s always ignored. Stone Cold!!! Now why did Nate always ignore this movie? The answer may surprise you and yet make total sense. Find out what happens when The Boz faces off with an unhinged Lance Henriksen. You’ll be surprised at how this one finishes.

Three-ways are a rare occurrence but when an opportunity arises you should never turn it down. The Give Me Back My Horror Movies podcast did just that and got the pleasure of being the meat in a podcast sandwich. Along with the "A Cut Above" and "Spoils of Horror" podcasts, we tackle the egregiously overlooked classic 'Children of the Corn' trilogy. "Hold on," you say, "Children of the Corn was a trilogy?" Well friend, it didn't start out intending to be a trilogy but it's what we got and certainly what we needed. Charlie, Nate and Pete dive into part two and come away in belly laughs and stitches. "Where has this movie been all my life," was a frequent question we asked ourselves. PLEASE make sure to watch all three before listening to our nonsense and help bring this film into cult classic status. Just to tease you a little more, this movie may have the best kill we have ever seen! So don't forget to check out 'A Cut Above: Horror' review for part one and 'Spoils of Horror' for the third installment of this what we hope it the first of many collaborations.
Tue, March 14, 2023
It feels like forever ago that we covered a true dyed in the wool action movie. So this week Charlie and Nate decided what better movie to cover than 'The Last Stand' starring the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger! Listen along as the guys dig into the awesomeness of what many consider the return of Arnold to the action genre. With plenty of bullets, blood, fast cars, and an amazing supporting cast this weeks episode is a true return to form and delivers on its promise to... Give Me Back My Action Movies!!!!!
Tue, March 07, 2023
A new month approaches the podcast world. Nate and Charlie survived an apocalyptic February to the likes that had never been seen before. They kicked Pete out of the studio and made an appointment with The Dentist. A movie that haunted every kid in the video store aisle in the 90s. Was this enough to remove the tarnished stains of Pete month?
Tue, February 28, 2023
The final selection for "The Month of Pete" is completely banana pants. It's bloody. It's weird. It's nonsensical. It's outrageous. It's a little naughty. It's ROBOGEISHA!!! If you like Japanese splatter films like Machine Girl and Meatball Machine than you're in for a treat. No joke. This one is really weird and the boys should be thankful I didn't make them watch Takashi Miike's Gozu instead. Boob guns! Butt swords. Circular Saw Jaw! A geisha that turns into a tank and crawls up a building! Temple Kaiju! What's not to love?
Tue, February 21, 2023
*Spoiler Alert*!!! This description and episode will spoil the movie if you haven't seen it!....you've been warned! One Cut of the Dead Pete's third selection of the take-over month was a bit of a bait and switch. While not necessarily a "horror movie" it is a movie about making a horror movie. "One Cut of the Dead" is a delightful and hilarious independent film from Japan. Made for about $25,000, the film went on to make over $25 million globally. The highlight of the film is the 37 minute one-shot to open the movie and while the second act was a slog to get through, the final payoff is magical. The biggest surprise of this episode is Nate's M. Night Shyamalan twist at the end. One Cut of the Dead is a HUGE recommend from Pete but what do the guys think about it?
Sat, February 18, 2023
Join Nate and Charlie as they try to sneak a special interview episode past Pete this month. The guys are joined by Brandon Rhiness who wrote and directed the movie 'Grotesque' now available on Tubi (man we love Tubi). Brandon talks about how this movie came to be, some behind the scenes info, as well as his career up to this point. Both Charlie and Nate really enjoyed the movie and have a blast digging into the creation of the character Mildred and all of the chaos that ensues after her "surgery". Bonus: we find out some info on how movies get picked up for Tubi! There are some mild spoilers in this episode but we definitely recommend you go watch 'Grotesque' 2022 so you can enjoy the glee we all had talking about the surprisingly high body count!
Tue, February 14, 2023
From the director Neon Genesis Evangelion and Shin Godzilla, Hideaki Anno brings a classic anime to life with Cutie Honey. The argument during the show was if this is an action movie or not. Charlie makes a good argument that this is comedy adventure rather than action, but the kill count is just as high Missing in Action, if not more. With guns, sword fights and giant explosions how can this NOT be an action movie regardless of its absurdity. I had to pull in my Good Beer Bad Movie Night co-host Troy to help make my argument, but opinions couldn’t be more different and the episode benefits from the dissonance. No matter what side of the fence you’re on, this is a banger of an episode.
Tue, February 07, 2023
Greetings, listeners. Our Grand Evil Overlord and Nate (I need to come up with a cooler name for Nate than “Nate.” Boooring) foolishly turn the reigns of the podcast over to me 'Pete' for the month of February. To what nonsense will I subject their unprepared brains? To start off, I felt like I needed to class this joint up and introduce an award-winning Indie film from France called Raw. Arguably (and we did) more of a coming of age than horror, Raw is powerful, beautiful and horrifying. Despite it’s slow pace, Raw is a strong recommend if you’re looking for something different from the mainstream horror.

In a world where sequels run rampant, three knuckleheads couldn’t contain themselves to make a nice and casual anniversary episode. Why is it whenever there’s a mountain of bodies to count it’s always these three? Can they not go one anniversary episode without death and destruction in their wake? What the hell is even happening in Missing in Action?!!! Tune in for the explosive finale to our two year anniversary Q&A episode! As always a huge thank you to everyone that’s ever gave us a chance, we are beyond humble for all the support you've given us. We hope you enjoy these two-parter episodes, and look forward to bringing you another year of carnage and laughter! Stick around after the credits for Nick Fury recruiting us at the end of the episode. Oh wait… I mean the bloopers.
Tue, January 31, 2023
Well...we've made it another year apparently, what started out as just a fun hobby has now turned into a labor of love. Alot has changed in two years but somehow we've managed to keep pushing forward and growing as a podcast and building a fantastic community around us. So this week we reached out to you the fans and gave you the opportunity to ask us anything at all while we review the Chuck Norris classic 'Missing in Action'. As it turns out it was way too much to fit into one episode so for our second anniversary we give you our very first two part episode. We hope you all enjoy the chaos that ensues and make sure to come back and check out the second part of our Q&A Special Anniversary Episode!!!
Tue, January 24, 2023
For Charlie's final birthday pick he stayed on the nostalgia path and picked a horror movie that he had a strong connection to....'Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight'. Growing up watching the TV series and Saturday morning cartoon as an early teen meant that when a full length feature film was announced that there was no way Charlie wasn't going to watch it. We also find out a shocking revelation from Nate concerning this movie as well! So hit that play button Boils and Ghouls to get transported back to when practical effects were king and Billy Zane was the smoothest, coolest horror movie villain of the 90s! Frights! Camera! Hacktion!!!!! HEHEHEHEHHAAAA!!!!!
Tue, January 17, 2023
It's that time of year again, Charlie's birthday has rolled back around and this year and he brought what is possibly the pinnacle of his childhood action movie favorites..... Masters of the Universe!!! While this podcast always has a foot in the nostalgia pool this episode the guys jump off the high dive into pure unadulterated wholesome nostalgia. Pete and Nate were definitely not surprised for the wave of love Charlie has for this live action adaptation of his hero He-Man. They were however caught a little off guard (as was Charlie) at how strong that wave actually is and how its still a cultural and personal icon for him. We even come up with our own He-man characters for each other and ourselves! So please take a trip to our past and enjoy as we cover Masters of the Universe.....Good Journey!!!!!
Tue, January 10, 2023
The gang is all here! For the first time ever the entire party was able to watch a movie together. A pact was made many months ago to cover Puppet Master 2 the next time we were altogether. Covid, random illnesses, and even Southwest wasn’t going to stop this from happening!.... Though some had succeeded in the past. Tune in to hear all about the misfortunes and triumphs to finally make this happen!
Tue, January 03, 2023
It was bound to happen...this is it, our first Michael Bay movie. But dammit what better way to ring in the New Year than with Bad Boys 2 because it is a helluva ride. In fact we ride together.....we die together.... Bad Boys for life. Charlie and Nate wanted a fun sequel to continue their theme and thought what better one than the ultimate if not the best examples of a buddy cop actioner. So listen along as the guys strap in for an absolute wild ride with more car chases, explosions, bullets, and flat out hilarious dialogue than one movie has the right to have!! Take a drink every time the fellas say, “Mike Lowery” and be prepared..(don't listen to Nate...you will die) *GMBMAHM and associates are not responsible for Nate*
Tue, December 27, 2022
Nate wanted a doll for Christmas this year and Charlie and Pete pulled through for the little lad. Only problem was it was it has some defective hardware and went on a Homicidal rampage…again…Child’s Play is a franchise that is 7 movies and 2 seasons deep. It’s hard to believe Chucky has spawned so much over the years, but it’s the first sequel where he truly develops his personality and makes his mark on the horror world. Listen as the fellas talk about their fond memories of everyone’s favorite murderous doll!
Wed, December 21, 2022
It had to be done...after the Al Leong score Nate gave Die Hard 2 Charlie couldn't let that be our Christmas special legacy for the second year. Charlie had to do something drastic, something he never expected he'd have to do especially right before Christmas. What did he do you ask? Well...you'll have to listen to the episode to find out! Hope you all enjoy our impromptu Christmas Special Episode....Nate's Road to Redemption!!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!!!
Tue, December 20, 2022
Is anyone surprised by this weeks movie? Of course we're gonna cover the sequel to the greatest Christmas movie ever created...Die Hard 2 'Die Harder'!!!!!! Join Charlie and Nate as they follow John McClain for another holiday adventure this time set inside an airport while terrorists attempt to free a political prisoner by holding the planes in the air hostage. What they didn't realize was that McClain's wife Holly just happens to be one of the passengers in danger and it's up to John to save the day...again...on Christmas! *static* *Cassette deck click* It's late, the sun went down hours ago...Charlie and Nate are just staring at each other across the monitors. Their both extremely tired and Nate feels a sickness creep up on him, Charlie takes notice of his change in demeanor with cold dead eyes and begins questioning the decision to stay. It's getting later...darkness has fully enveloped the sky....neither of them trus-.....oh wait! Pete finally logged on!!! Let's get this started! The guys are covering yet another masterpiece of horror as they discuss John Carpenter's "The Thing"... yeah uh Nate picked this as our horror Christmas movie because - snow and cold - sure bud. So if you found this recording then go find a warm place to settle in and hit that play button as we cover "The Thing"!!!!

It’s been months in the making, demands were tossed back and forth, long nights of negotiations and deliberations. After a painstaking stand still; an agreement was made! Blood, sweat, and tears brought us to this momentous achievement. Give Me Back My Action Movies and Spoils of Horror have united!!! Twice the carnage. Twice the mayhem. Twice the body count. Prepare yourselves for an unholy union as these two podcasts form an alliance to which the likes of the podcasting world has never seen. Oh, and they watched Class of 1999.

Join the fellas as they teleport themselves into a movie filled with an ever charismatic Jeff Goldblum and their first time tackling a David Cronenberg masterpiece. Tue, November 22, 2022
After an amazing start to November with our RoboCop episode we decided to keep the action train chugging strong with this week's selection....Universal Soldier! The movie our generations will always remember as one of the greatest crossover events in the action genre with Jean Claude Van Damme sharing the spotlight with Dolph Lundgren. But something else became apparent while recording this episode, Charlie and Nate inadvertently had what appears to be a theme for the past month or so. Starting with Sleepy Hollow, Underworld, Evil Dead 2, End of Days, Re-Animator, RoboCop, and now Universal Soldier...what do all of these movies have in common you ask (besides being badass)...well, they're all about resurrecting the previously deceased!!!!! Don't forget to subscribe and rate the show on your favorite podcast app!

Pack your Suntan lotion because we’re going on a road trip but we end up getting stranded in the desert this week. Nate clearly has been in a mood and decided to force Charlie to watch a movie he swore off years ago but in the spirit of solidarity begrudgingly agreed to cover. The Hills Have Eyes is a rare case where the remake is equal to it's original predecessor and had the blessings of Wes Craven to boot. This is our second helping of horror from director Alexandre Aja so you know it’s going to be a sadistic brutal bloody ride. So call shotgun (literally), buckle up, hydrate, and hit download for this week's newest episode! Don't forget to subscribe and rate us on you favorite podcast app.

We have another full house because we invited Pete's co-host Troy over from Good Beer Bad Movie Night again for our extra special Halloween episode. This week the guys cover the Stuart Gordon classic 'Re-Animator and much to our surprise Troy has a secret to spill on this episode. Finally the boys have a new business venture to invest in and trust us you’re not gonna want to miss out on this opportunity!!! Don't forget to like and subscribe on your favorite podcast apps. Throw in some machine guns, dead family, possession, and did we mention Machine Guns????!!!! So join Charlie and Nate (Pete was apparently busy...) as they transport you back to 1999 the year of the Apocalypse and Y2K with a dark and brooding version of Arnold the world wasn't prepared for. The world of action and horror collide this week! Charlie and Nate engage in an age long blood feud of werewolf Vs vampire except now they have machine guns! The only problem is; the guys only covered one movie in the Underworld franchise and kept wanting to discuss the others. But that was good news for Nate and his obsession with early 2000's Kate Beckinsale because there's many more opportunities to have her back on the show (Charlie even reminds Nate of one in particular). So go grab your blackest, tightest leather apparel and listen along as we continue our spooky season selection of movies. Don't forget to subscribe and rate us on your favorite podcast app.

It is officially the spooky season and the guys have went through the hundreds of thousands of movies they could possibly cover! In their pursuit of not being cliche or predictable hopefully they have chose wisely... So for the first week of October they take a trip to the town of Sleepy Hollow and try to not lose their heads! In this episode Charlie and Nate may have gotten swept up in the fashion and atmosphere but make no mistake this does belong on your Halloween watch/listen list! There are really no words we can put here that will even come close to preparing everyone for this weeks episode. All that can really be said is we cover our first 3D movie "Metalstrom: The Destruction of Jared-Syn" and that we were able to get Troy from "Good Beer Bad Movie Night" to join Nate, Charlie, and Pete on the action side of the show. We wish we could go into more detail or maybe prepare you for what's about to transpire but...somethings are better left to be experienced first hand. So please prepare yourselves for what we can guarantee to be a wild ride the likes of which you've never heard. It’s Nate’s birthday month and he decided to take a trip to South America and bring home a souvenir. Only, it’s his biggest fear.... A giant spider with soldiers that kill on demand. Listen as Charlie and Nate discuss an all time classic movie that crawls under your skin, under your toilet, in your popcorn, and out of your sinks. A movie Nate has avoided watching again since he was a child. Will he finally have conquered his fear? Will Charlie follow in the steps of John Goodman? Plus, the guys have an idea for a sequel/crossover that brings back a very special character near and dear to their heart! Don't forget to like and subscribe so you never miss new episodes!

Much to Pete's enjoyment Nate picked an amazing movie that ushered a new era of martial art movie making and introduced the world to Tony Ja. So kick back relax and the guys celebrate Nate's birthday month!!!!

Alright, this may seem like a departure for us talking about a YouTube video but hear us out. It's Casey freaking Jones!!!!! The masterminds behind Chromatic Phantom Productions decided their first entry had to be none other than everyone's favorite vigilante. Casey Jones Live Wire is 30 mins of pure nostalgia and amazing film making, once you watch it you'll totally understand why we decided it needed a home on the show. So please go watch their YouTube video and then listen along as we dig into the creation and realization that went into a passion project done by those that truly put all their heart into it.

This week Charlie decided to take the guys on a 90s nostalgia roller coaster ride straight from his teenage years. A movie neither Nate or Pete had ever heard of and was a bit nervous going into knowing Charlie's taste in movies. Little did they know Brainscan would end up being a perfect snapshot of life in the 90s which helped them understand Charlie's connection to this movie. The guys also took this episode as an opportunity to dive into their top 3 moments/memories from the 90s and just like a 90s show, there are some crossovers they each shared. So load up the CD-ROM, sit in your favorite gamer chair and dial 1-555- GMBMAHM for all of the retro nostalgia!

Remember living through one of the biggest box office bombs of all time? Remember when Kevin Costner was an unsinkable actor in the early 90s? Is Waterworld as bad as everyone claims? You’re in luck this week, because Charlie has defended this movie for years, and has now sent Nate out to sea to experience Waterworld! But wait, these two didn’t watch the same version of this infamous movie. Grab your papers, your dirt, and an eye patch as the guys dive into this misunderstood gem! Along the way you’re going to learn about some Waterworld merchandise you may have never known existed! Don't forget to like and subscribe!

It's time once again for our monthly interview special!! This month the guys had the pleasure to sit down with independant filmmaker Sean Haitz and talk about his current project called "Area 5150". If you've ever wondered what would happen if Aliens encountered Redneck Hillbilly Mutants well... we have great news for you this episode!!! We also get into the creative process a bit as well as how Indigogo is very important tool to smaller scale movie budgets like this film and others like this. So please make sure you go show your support to Sean as he works to put the final touches on Area 5150 and dont forget to check out his other projects we mention in the interview as well!!! Have you ever watched a movie that really scared you as a kid? But you haven't seen it in ages? Well...this week Nate and Charlie did just that when they went house shopping in Amityville and found a deal too good to be true. Has this infamous haunted house movie stood the test of time? Does Thanos's Daddy believe in ghosts or is he just experiencing what every new dad goes thru? Plus you're never gonna believe how many Amityville movies there are right now...or even by the time you listen to this episode. Also we have a rather shocking Raining Blood segment this week but you'll have to listen to find out why. Don't forget to like and subscribe as well as rate us on your favorite podcatcher!!!

This week the guys picked a movie that they feel doesn't get the attention it definitely deserves.... Reign of Fire! Do you believe in Dragons?... If not you better prepare yourself because they are here to "Kick Some Ash" and its up to a ragtag team of survivors comprised of early 2000 versions of Christian Bale (Batman Begins), Gerard Butler (300), and the most badass action hero of them all Matthew McConaughey (Magic Mike). Wait did we say Matthew McConaughey and badass action hero in the same sentence? Hell yeah we did and its a crime that this is the only amazing version we ever got of him (Charlie's spirit celebrity). So sit back and listen along as Nate and Charlie talk about a movie that more people need to remember and help them start the Reign of Fire Renaissance!!!! Don't forget to like and subscribe on our Youtube channel and rate us on your favorite podcast app.

It was supposed to be simple, Charlie picked an Ooey-Gooey movie this week...1988 The Blob. What should of been a nice calm simple review descended into chaos almost immediately and neither Nate or Charlie could do anything to stop it. Don't worry though by some miracle they were able to stay on task long enough to plunge their hands into quite possibly one of the greatest remakes to be made and highlight how this film has held up to the test of time. From dissolved body parts to the questionable wardrobe choices for our main man Kevin Dillion there was plenty to remanence about and even surprise Nate on his viewing. Listen along as we go over our Raining Blood and most importantly the KILL OF THE WEEK...one of the best in their opinion. Please Rate, Like, Subscribe and don't forget we are now on YouTube search GMBMAHM

You ever just watch a movie with almost zero expectation and it ends up being exactly what you needed at that moment? Well that's what happened to Charlie and Nate for this weeks selection "Blind Fury" starring Rutger Hauer (first appearance on the show!). The guys had an absolute blast watching and then discussing this action/comedy classic, from the fantastic delivery by Hauer, to the best rouges gallery of henchmen even a special appearance by a martial art master, this movie delivers on all fronts. Listen along as both Nate and Charlie slowly descend into chaos at no fault of the movie at all, but were able to compose themselves enough to stay true to the movie. Find out how the guys rated this movie and how much of a blind badass Rutger was in the Body Count....even though he's blind!!! Dont forget to rate and subscribe on your favorite podcast app!

That's right! We had one more interview in the barrel that we wanted to drop in July before it ended and this is a big one for us. We got to sit down with Jim Ojala SFX extraordinaire who has an insane work resume...movies such as Hell Boy 2, X-men Last Stand, Toxic Avenger 4 as well as TV projects like True Blood and Angel. While we didn't have nearly enough time to even scratch the surface of his career we were able to dig into a few recent projects he's done such as his own movie Strange Nature and the soon to be released Crabs both of which are well worth your time...no spoilers of course. Nate is also able bring Jim's punk/metal side to the surface with a few projects he worked on that is sure to surprise many of our listeners as well...once Nate quit fangirling that is. So please sit back, relax, enjoy this very special interview and as always please don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode.

You demanded it and we made it happen...Bring Back the Werewolves!!!! Ok...maybe we just decided it was time for another one and Charlie spun the Big Wheel O' Wolves and it landed on this weeks feature "Dog Soldiers" but either way everyone will be in for a good time (well most everyone). Listen along as Nate and Charlie tear into the meat of this movie and really get at the marrow of this Independant film by Neil Marshall from 2002. We invited Pete but I'm pretty sure as soon as he heard Werewolf (go listen to our Full Eclipse episode) his schedule was magically full...weird. Also we have to warn you, someone on the show didn't have great time watching this one...you'll have to click play to find out who tho...... Don't forget to Follow us and leave a rating on Spotify, Podbean, and Apple!!!!

Hey Everybody!!! We have been asked to help with an Indiegogo Campaign for a new independant horror movie called "Watch Dog" directed by none other than LC Holt (VHS2 and You're Next) with special effect done by friend of the show Deryk Wehrley (Late Check Out and He Knows). This episode we get a chance to sit down with these two and talk about how a project like this gets off the ground as well as a rundown of all the amazing perks that are available thru crowdfunding. Of course there are zero spoilers but we do get a glimpse of the premise and a feel of the films tone. Charlie and Nate had an absolute blast during this interview and are extremely grateful that we were asked to help bring exposure to this movie so early on into production. As always we will keep everyone updated as the project continues and will have all of the links available on our posts!! Thanks again to LC and Deryk for coming on the show and we all hope you enjoy the episode!
Tue, July 19, 2022
We did it everyone!!! Thanks to the poll we posted in the group it was unanimous that you the listeners wanted us to cover another John Travolta action classic! So to soften the blow to Nate this time Charlie selected the highly underrated and action packed John Woo helmed "Broken Arrow". The guys really dig deep into the action sequences and trust us there are quite a few that even we were scratching our heads as to how they pulled it off and just the sheer amount of destruction they were able to cram into movie that clocks in under 2 hours. So sit back click play and enjoy this non stop trill ride of a podcast!!! This movie also stars another favorite actor of Charlie's but we'll save that for the episode
Sun, July 17, 2022
Well it's been what feels like forever ago that we released an interview episode for everyone. This one is something very special and unique for the show as its an independant Action/Horror movie made by friend of the show Rob Davidson called "The Ultimate Throwdown"! We were put in touch with Rob by show supporters Bobby and James (Witch House) because they knew we'd be a good fit to help showcase the amazing amount of work being put into this project. Rob gives everyone an excellent look at the movie making process from an independant level as well as some behind the scenes of what are guaranteed to be some amazing stunts in the film. This episode is completely spoiler free as even we haven't seen it yet (just some amazing clips Rob shared with us beforehand)! So please listen along and hear the passion Rob has for this project and maybe gain a better understanding of the movie making process....Enjoy!
Tue, July 12, 2022
Well the time has finally come, he's been grounded long enough from picking movies so this week is the 2nd "Pete's Pick"!!!! Pete took us literal when we said we're coming back to Earth after our space journey, so literal he pretty much took us subterranean with his choice "Slugs: The Movie". Listen in as we find out why he picked this particular film as well as if he's going to be able to stay ungrounded for the foreseeable future...the outcome of this episode will definitely surprise you! Also this episode features an unlikely hero the world didn't know they needed.....Mike Brady, Health Inspector (no not that Mike Brady unfortunately), there may be another pitch idea in the episode as well. Find out the Raining Bloods and how many Machetes the guys rated this 1988 creature feature. Don't forget to subscribe and leave us a rating as well!!!

Well after a month long journey in Space there's nothing like a well deserved Vacation....Space Vacation that is!!! Nate and Charlie try to get some moon rays with a well deserved rest on their Space Cruise but as luck would have it their works not done just yet. The guys get tossed right in the middle of one of the greatest Sci-Fi adventure movies to date, "The Fifth Element" starring action great Bruce Willis and the ever mysterious Milla Jovovich. On this final leg of the "In Space" saga the guys try something a little different and use a review system aptly called S.P.A.C.E. developed by friend of the show J-Man...lets be honest, how could we not use it, we're in Space! So listen along and see just how accurate this rating system is compared to our gut feeling Al Leong segment as well as a surprising Body Count for a PG-13 movie. And yes....we will be back on Terrafirma after this episode (there's a hint in the show for the next action episode as well)
Tue, June 28, 2022
This week during our journey into space the guys receive a distress call from a group just floating around near Neptune. Imagine our surprise when we realized it was Pete's podcast group from "Good Beer Bad Movie Night" Troy, Kathleen, and Dave!!! Apparently we've kept Pete so occupied on our show that they decided to come looking for him and in doing so ran into this weeks movie selection.... Event Horizon. So join us and our new temporary crew as we all dive into this bizarre sci-fi horror blend from the 90s and allow ourselves to be shown a version of Hell not even Kathleen was prepared for. Stick around for extended versions of our Machetes and Kill of the Week as we host a full house. (we apologize for some odd audio but the feed was transmitted thru hell...also known as Nates computer)
Tue, June 21, 2022
The next stop in our month long journey into space takes us to the red planet of Mars to visit a jailhouse in a small mining community in this weeks movie.... Ghosts of Mars. Charlie has been dying to cover this movie for a very long time and Nate has drug his feet long enough, the guys dive right into this John Carpenter hidden gem and man do they have fun dissecting it. From its amazing soundtrack, fantastic cast, and just pure mindless action this movie delivers on all fronts and deserves to be counted among Carpenters classics. So join along on our third stop In Space and enjoy ... Ghosts of Mars!!!!
Tue, June 14, 2022
For the next stop on our month long voyage into space we run into an Alien? species.... alien in the movie but to us he'll always be the Leprechaun! That's right Nates pick for the horror show is none other than Leprechaun 4 In Space, why...we have no idea...and neither did he. But the guys make the best of it and actually have a blast discussing the nonsensical yet charming entry into the franchise. Listen along as the guys think of other franchises that should be in space but aren't....yet, and how Hollywood needs to email us about our brilliant trilogy we've developed. Now your curious, just admit it and hit that play button.
Tue, June 07, 2022
The time has come for this show to boldly go where lets face it, every franchise goes.....IN SPACE!!!! That's right this weeks episode is the first of our month long journey into movies that take place in space for the majority of the film. And we kick things off a little unexpectedly with a movie Charlie didn't like at all when it first came out but over the years has become a personal favorite... "Lock Out" starring Guy Pearce. The guys also added a bit of a twist to this selection because they found the Unrated Blu-ray that neither Nate or Charlie had seen before. So strap in tight as you get launched into orbit to a Maximum Security prison and listen in as the guys go over their mission log of " Lock Out"!!!!
Tue, May 31, 2022
We have such sights to show you.....err...talk to you about? Doesn't have the same ring to it....oh well. This week the guys are going on a journey to HELL!!!! That's right Nate went right for the jugular when he suggested Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 and wow what a change of pace when compared to the other movies that've been covered so far. Follow along as Nate, Charlie, and Pete give you a brief history of the Hellraiser franchise and find out how the second entry stands against the others. Also...Spoiler Alert....David Bowie makes a surprise appearance in this weeks movie selection!!!!! You've been warned..hahahahaha!!!
Tue, May 24, 2022
Be nice....till its time to not be nice. How will you know? Charlie and Nate will tell you because they've got a bachelors in "Road House" philosophy!!! That's right everyone we're going to our favorite bar for a night out with the boys from the Double Deuce starring our main man Patrick Swayze. Listen along as Nate falls deeper into Swayze's luscious mane of hair and Charlie perfecting his patented 3 finger throat rip all while being cool as cucumbers as they reminisce about their childhood favorite...."Road House"!
Tue, May 17, 2022
Prepare your earholes for this weeks episode because we're about to melt them down just like Olé' Cropsey from this weeks movie....."The Burning". The guys are joined by a very special guest Nate made friends with over on the Instagram page, it's Mike Hochins lead singer of the Death Metal Band "Violent Homicidal Slasher" or "VHS" for short! Mikes band and songs are inspired by the older VHS style horror movies and when we asked him what movie he'd love to join us on The Burning was at the top of the list. So sit back and join Charlie, Nate, Pete, and Mike as they take a trip to summer camp circa 1981 while they discuss this mostly forgotten entry in Slasher movie history.
Fri, May 13, 2022
Wait!? It's not Tuesday!!! Nope but it is Friday the 13th, so that means we are dropping an episode dedicated to the man himself... Jason Voorhees! Nate wanted to do something extra special for the only Friday the 13th of the year and to ramp it up even more it is the anniversary of Part 7, that's right Jason vs Psychic as well as the debut of everyone's favorite man behind the mask.... Kane Hodder. So lets all gather for a party at Crystal Lake and crank up the episode as Nate and Charlie take you kill by kill in this very special " Friday the 13th" episode!!!!
Tue, May 10, 2022
This week Charlie and Nate get to dive back into a Steven Segal movie and not just any movie, his debut in "Above the Law"! Charlie was double prepared for this episode for some reason but lets be honest, you can never get enough Segal movies...or is it "that's enough movies Segal"? Either way the guys actually had a lot of fun re-watching this action classic even though it may not sound like it at times. Make sure to listen so you don't miss out on our new segments and as always find out the Body Count and the fan favorite Al Leongs! Don't forget...."no ones above the law...."
Tue, May 03, 2022
Alright you gore-hounds...it's about to get messy! We've treaded lightly long enough, time to throw the gore lever and crank this sucker up to 11!!!!! That's right the guys have released the floodgates to bring you all of the ooey gooey you could possibly handle in this weeks movie selection Dead Alive aka Braindead! Nate and Charlie are once again joined by the 'Sultan of Goo' Pete from Good Beer Bad Movie Night while they take you thru the genius that is Peter Jackson and highlight damn near every bloody scene from beginning to end. It's safe to say the guys were all excited to watch this classic VHS era horror movie, find out exactly how much by listening to the latest from Give Me Back My Horror Movies....don't forget your raincoat!
Tue, April 26, 2022
Strap in tight because things are about to get wild! Welcome to Give Me Back My Action Movies 2.0, now with new car smell and Kung Fu grip!!! This week Charlie and Nate decided to open up the floodgates of action-dome and pick the most actiony of action movies from the 80s.... "Commando". The guys go a bit native (okay mostly Charlie) in this episode and gear up as they dive into this quintessential Arnold lead movie. Prepare yourselves because everything's been turned to eleven on this episode, from the fights, gunplay, the one-liners, and most definitely the staggering bodycount!!! So as Arnold says in the movie.............."LET"S PARTY!!!!!"
Tue, April 19, 2022
Nates Back!!!!! After literal minutes of searching we finally found Nate after he ran off when we opened the door before the House episode, actually the van that stole him brought him back after hours of horror movie talk...lol. This week Charlie lifted the grounding and let Nate choose the movie to cover and his choice was The Puppet Master, an excellent example of late 80s early 90s puppetry and stop motion from Full Moon Productions. But somethings not quite right once the guys start discussing their viewing experiences and well....you'll just have to listen to find out what we mean by that. Welcome back Nate...(we still miss James voice tho....)
Tue, April 12, 2022
It's time for the other winner of our audience poll we ran a few weeks back!!! This week the guys get their moustaches freshly waxed and belly up to the bar as they cover Dan's 90's pick....Tombstone. Listen along as they highlight some of the most iconic acting and casting selections that any movie should have the right to showcase. Find out everyone's favorite lines, characters, and who they would want to be cast as, along with a very peculiar fan remake casting. Even Nate had to admit that Billy Zane was suburb in this weeks selection, and Charlie continually reminded him of that fact as the episode continued. Hear the extraordinarily high Al Leong ratings as well as a Body Count fit for the 80's and stick around for the end as we talk about some changes that are blowing across the plains for the future..............You're a Daisy if you do.
Tue, April 05, 2022
This week Charlie decided that enough was enough with this (in his opinion) current run of questionable movies and dug deep into his nostalgia to bring 'House' to everyone. Unfortunately Nate had to be absent for this redemption episode but have no fear as Charlie was joined in the studio with James (PosterSmash/WitchHouse) and the two had a blast reliving their memories of this cult classic horror movie. Listen along as they gush over the practical effects, the on screen chemistry between William Katt and George Wendt, and find out what is probably the most disturbing image Charlie has burned in his mind. Stay tuned for the Raining Blood and hear how many Machetes the guys give this VHS classic in the newest episode of Give Me Back My Horror Movies!!!
Tue, March 29, 2022
To pick this weeks selection the guys put up three possible movies to review and then let the fans decide the winner. Well we ended up with two winners somehow (go figure lol) Hard Target and Tombstone tied for first place 27/27 and to be honest the guys aren't upset at all. So they decided to cover Hard Target first (reason in the episode) and then the next episode they will be covering Tombstone so everyone wins, everyone except Nate though (sorry Nate, next time). But now you get to take a trip with the guys as they go deep into the heart of Cajun country and get lost in the Bayou discussing Jean Claude Van Damme starring in action director extraordinaire John Woo's first American Film. Check out the Body Count and how many Al Leongs the fellas give this 90s movie goodness with a special appearance by quite possibly the greatest mullet in cinema....and remember, we're professionals....we don't get angry!
Tue, March 22, 2022
It's Pete's pick this week! We're calling this the "Pete's Pick Extravaganza"!!!! The guys decided to make Pete feel more at home and a member of the show by letting him bring a personal favorite to the table to discuss. He brought the Korean Horror Sensation "Thirst" a vampire tale that is definitely not 'Twilight'...definitely not. Listen along as Pete and Nate lose themselves in what Pete describes as an artful representation of a classic love story intertwined into the macabre from acclaimed director Park Chan-wook (Old Boy). Pete and the guys break the movie down into manageable bites (lol) and give it the attention it deserves. So sit back and relax as the guys take you down a dark and bloody story that can only be described as an unusual take on the vampire mythos. Oh! What did Charlie think of Pete's pick this week... well, you'll have to listen to find out...it doesn't disappoint!!
Tue, March 15, 2022
This week the guys let Dan pick the movie after all the shenanigans lately and Charlie still had to channel his inner Drill Sgt to keep the guys in line. But they couldn't complain too much because the movie Dan picked is a classic starring Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge. Find out why Dan selected this one and why it holds nostalgic meaning to both him and Charlie...Nate watched the movie and quickly realized he was thinking of Kelly's Hero's when Dan made this selection and was understandably confused when he sat down to watch Heartbreak....damnit Nate! But fear not Charlie kept the guys on point for the most part and after a live fire exercise things leveled out. Find out the Body Count and how many Al Leongs this movie was awarded. OORAH!!!!
Tue, March 08, 2022
We're sorry....we're very sorry.......if you liked this movie. What the heck did the guys watch this week?!!! Holy crap! This week the guys are joined on the show by Sludge from Monster Movie Stompdown and now Charlie and Nate aren't sure if he'll come back. (Pete laughing in the background) Charlie had the bright idea for them to cover the newest installment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise because he saw how divisive everyone was being about it, can't be that bad right?....he chose poorly. Listen along as the guys basically tear this movie apart with a chainsaw (not one with 50 year old gas) and how Charlie fixed the ending in 3 minutes give or take. Find out how low the Machete scale can actually go without the help from Dan and how 'Bob' jumped up in the rankings...lol. We're sorry....for watching this......
Sat, March 05, 2022
Wow!!! The guys never expected to start the action show interviews hot out of the gate but somehow they pulled this one off. Charlie was lucky enough to get in contact with Joshua Milrad 'Tal' not long after the guys covered The Beastmaster movie and to say he was a little star struck isn't too far from the truth. Josh ended up being an absolute blast to interview, it really became a great talk that went far beyond his time on set of The Beastmaster and he took the time to discuss his life before, during, and after his acting career. Again the guys want to thank Josh for taking time out of his busy schedule and coming on the show to share his stories and experiences with us and our listeners. Spoiler alert....this interview gets 10 Al Leongs!!!!!!!
Tue, March 01, 2022
Charlie finally caved and allowed the boys to pick a martial arts movie, specifically a Bruce Lee movie "Fists of Fury". And from the start of the episode he regretted it...not the movie mind you, he regretted giving the monkeys the keys to the zoo. After starting the show off the rails with bad impersonations of each other there just seemed like there was something in the water in Ohio. But the guys did manage to talk about the movie and dig into the history, life, and lore of Bruce along with how to approach the subject matter in the movie beyond the revenge and the fighting. Overall the guys really enjoyed looking back on this martial art classic that they all grew up watching, and listen to Charlie slowly descend into madness as his co-hosts test his patience and editing ability. Find out how many Al Leongs the guys gave it and check out the Bodycount!
Tue, February 22, 2022
Nate is grounded....Nate is grounded.....Nate is grounded!!!!! Yes Charlie agreed to this movie but only because he wanted to impress the shows new part time co-host Pete (Good Beer Bad Movie Night) by debuting his appearance with an actual Italian horror film "The House by the Cemetery". But Bob had other plans in store for us, along with his parents of the year... last place winners 10 years running and lets not forget Dr. Fruedenstien...Frankenhouser....Fauchicula....or whatever his name was. This movie was a mess but the guys were still able to make an entertaining episode even though they also recorded it early Saturday morning which will now forever be known as 'Fulci and Coffee'....and as a treat Charlie create an extra special musical number fully inspired by this movie!!! So listen along as the guys try to make heads or tails of this Italian "classic?" and see if maybe there's some hope for future Fulci films on the show...spoiler...of course there will be! Don't forget to check out and follow the other shows in the network!

Ok lovebirds get ready to snuggle up on the couch with your loved ones and share your earbuds while the guys turn up the love dial for this weeks movie 'From Paris With Love' starring John Travolta. But wait!!! Don't be lulled into a false sense of security like Charlie did for his pick because someone on the show goes rouge and tries to bring the entire show to a screeching halt!!! Was it Dan, was it Nate, was it Carlos, Charlies long lost evil twin brother (insert dramatic music)??? Will Charlie be vindicated in his choice or will he admit defeat? Will Someone be grounded for their treachery? Will there be a complete twist that no one will see coming at all???? Will even the power of Chuck Norris heal these wounds? Click that link to find out!!!!!

Ok everyone get comfortable and strap in for this wild ride of an interview! The guys got to talk to the writer/screenwriter of the movie "We Need To Do Something" currently streaming on HULU. Max was an absolute freaking blast and neither of the guys were prepared for the peak inside Max's brain. They dig into the behind the scenes of movie making and how a movie goes from paper to film, including a glimpse of where these insane ideas even come from. Also get an inside look of Max's publishing company Perpetual Motion Machine and its offshoot Ghoulish Books along with some fantastic personal stories from the man himself. The guys really enjoyed having Max on the show and hope that everyone else enjoys listening to this wild ride!!!!

We made it one full year of podcasting!!!! And what better way to celebrate than with the sequel to the movie that we started this journey with.... Delta Force 2, just like the show double the action double the fun. But wait there's more....we added our first ever Q&A to the episode with questions from group members and Instagram followers. So take some time and join Charlie, Dan, and Nate as they talk about everything Chuck Norris in the movie and answer some amazing questions for the audience. Don't worry we will still have our Body-count and Al Leong (bootleg Al Leong maybe) segments that all of us have come to enjoy. And most importantly we couldn't have done this without all of you and your support for the last year of this adventure....so thank you...and here's to the next year and many more after that!!!!!

This months final birthday selection by Charlie is one of his favorite horror movies if not 'THE' number one horror movie in his list. Nate and Charlie take a fond look back at this horror classic that was not only directed by one of the horror elites John Carpenter but was also written by the master Stephen King himself. Listen along as the guys remember the first time they watched this movie and why Charlie has such a strong nostalgic pull to it and how Nate has a renewed love for it as well. Find out the Raining Blood and how many Machetes we both give this Carpenter masterpiece!
Tue, January 18, 2022
This week on the action show the guys celebrate Charlie's birthday month by letting him choose the movie. And of course "There can be only one" choice for that movie...The Highlander. Nate also crashes the party once he found out the movie selection so it turned into a three way discussion on why The Highlander had such a huge impact on all of the guys growing up. From sword fights, beheadings, quotable lines, and lets not forget a killer soundtrack done by none other than Queen...what's not to love about this 80s classic. So sit back as Dan tries his best to contain Charlie and Nates Highlander knowledge and excitement to just one episode (he tried) and realize that not one drop of alcohol was consumed during this recording (its true...lol). Find out the Body Count and how many Al Leongs the guys gave this extra special birthday episode of....The HIghlander!!!! There Can Be Only One!!!!

Welcome to the first Horror episode of 2022 as well as our very first Double Freature! Nate asked if they could start the year off with something special and Charlie said lets go big for 2022 and do two movies out "The Gate". So Nate chose a childhood favorite with The Gate and Charlie picked a movie he had yet to see based entirely on the cover art with "Cellar Dweller". What a blast the guys had recording this episode as they got to relive some of their childhood memories and remind the listeners that it doesn't take a huge budget or star studded cast to make a great movie. Find out where each movie lands on the Machete scale and hear a rather unusual Raining Blood body count........
Tue, January 04, 2022
The action show is starting off the new year with a real blast from the past from Charlie and Dan's childhood with The Beastmaster. Probably the very first sword and sorcery movie either of them watched as kids seeing as how He-Man was such a huge influence in most boys from that era. Join the guys as they talk about their first memories of the movie and find out what TBS and HBO actually stand for. Hear how this movie even in 2022 is still giving the guys gifts they didn't know they needed and hear quite possibly the greatest word in all written history. So join Dan and Charlie as they strip down to their loin cloths and leather studded arm braces while they cross the desert talking about a childhood favorite in this nostalgia heavy episode.
Tue, December 28, 2021
Let's finish out the new year with the guys as they introduce you to a relatively unknown alien invasion movie. Charlie stumbled upon this gem while doing research for the From Beyond episode, ordered it and then convinced Nate to order it as well completely based off the cover art alone! So the guys have been saving this movie to watch for a special occasion and what better time than New Years...so say good bye to 2021 and ring in the new year listening to Nate and Charlie discuss The Deadly Spawn!!! With a kill count that's Nates patented Quality over Quantity....and listen to Charlie talk about how he actually fell in love with this independant jewel..... Happy New Year We hope you enjoy!!!!

This Christmas the guys got invited to a holiday party by mistake but they made the best of it by saving everyone from a severe case of boredom. That's right the Facebook group voted so Charlie and Dan kinda listened as they break down the cultural icon that Die Hard became instead of a play by play of a movie everyone has seen. The guys talk about their earliest memories of seeing the movie as well as the impact it had on the action genre itself moving forward. So take off your shoes, make fists with your toes, and sit back and enjoy a holiday treat as you hide from the family this Christmas!!! P.S...... Al Leong is in this movie!!!!!! Wanna guess what Charlie rated it...you'll just have to listen!

The guys learn to be careful for what they wish for this week or else reality as they know it will cease to exist thanks to....Krampus!!!! Nate and Charlie were hopefully good little boys this year as they dig into their very first Horror Christmas episode for the podcast. Scream Factory gave us an early Christmas present in the form of 'Krampus the Naughty Cut' in UHD 4K and Blu-Ray this year and the guys couldn't wait to unwrap it and sneak a peek. So pour a big glass of eggnog and cozy up by the fire while you listen the first annual Give Me Back My Horror Movies Christmas Special!!!!
Tue, December 07, 2021
The guys bring in a very special guest this week, Jimmy from Live and in Color with Wolfie D and soon to be cohost of Give Me Back My Pro Wrestling set to debut by the end of the year. So to make him feel at home Charlie and Dan decided to cover The Condemned starring the one and only Stone Cold Steve Austin (WHAT?!)....can I get a HELL YEAH!!!! Join the guys as they dig into what makes this a fantastic homage to the action movies that preceded it in the 80s and 90s as well as dig a bit more into the beginning of WWE Studios and the impact wrestling had on us as kids...and as adults. So pull up a chair ring side and slam a couple brews as the boys drop the "Stunner" on The Condemned!!!!
Tue, November 30, 2021
This week the guys branch out of their comfort zone and sat down with two special guests that are no strangers to the podcast or the fan groups. Join Charlie and Nate as they get a spoiler free behind the scenes look straight from Director/Writer Bobby Easley and Director of Photography James Brenton of the upcoming film HP Lovecrafts The Witch House (summer 2022 release). As stated this is a spoiler free discussion and allowed us to dig more into the thought process and the early stages of development for independent film makers while also touching on non spoiler parts of the film. So sit back and enjoy Nate absolutely nailing his questions as we find out some stories that completely blew our minds as well as Charlie pointing out some highlights that our guest were blown away by the fact that we noticed. Huge thank you to everyone involved in the film and allowing us the privilege to watch it early and to be able to follow along on the journey that is independent film making!

How many Al Leongs does this star studded cast garner....you'll just have to listen to find out! In this weeks very special double feature presentation Dan and Charlie talk about two often forgot about action/sci-fi gems! The guys decided that while an entire episode could be justified for each movie they instead wanted to throw back to the glory days of cheap movie rentals and do a "two for one price" movie night. So find out how these movies have stood up to the test of time as well as how they stack against one another. So sit back and enjoy "double bodycounts" and two times the Al Leongs!!!!
Tue, November 02, 2021
In this weeks episode Nate picked a film that has divided the horror community since its release and Charlie was just as excited to talk about this mind twisting movie. The guys dig into where and why this one has its distractors while shining a light on this gem in the rough, so much so that Charlie guides Nate to his AH-HA moment as they talk through the plot. Find out where this movie lands on the Machete rating and how the Raining Blood is all about quality instead of quantity!!!!
