This week, I my guest, Alisa Dilorenzo gets into reality of sex in marriage and why if you're not making it a priority, your marriage may be suffering. Anyone who's been married for 10 years or more knows how tough it is to keep the passion burning when all of life's tasks and duties EASILY get in the way of spending intimate time together. Alisa speaks from her own experience of having a messed up time in her 22 year marriage with her husband Tony, and shares stories that listeners of their show, One Extraordinary Marriage, have shared with them. You might just say that they are the married sex experts online. Our conversation stretches from working around the demands of kid duties, how to set boundaries to insulate and protect your marriage, the intense value of conveying what you want to experience physically and many, MANY more important perspectives about sex in marriage. Even though in some circles, sex is a taboo topic, chatting with Alisa about it brings some clarity and ease around the topic, and we definitely have some fun and laughs along the way. It's a real and honest look into how marriages, even those experiencing disillusionment, detachment and disappointment can be resurrected by the simple and not-so-secret key of being regularly intimate with your spouse. Even though it's 2 women discussing the topic, both men and women will get a lot of value from the subject and encouraged to listen in.

One of the biggest barriers to true internal and external freedom, and living a Bold, Brave and Sassy life, is living from unresolved trauma in our lives. The result is a constant feeling of fear or anxiety as we encounter reminders of the event (s) that seem to play over and over. Or other times, we don't have a constant feeling of stress, but instead it's more sneaky and undermines our beliefs, thoughts and ultimately our actions. In this week's episode, my guest, Dr. Barbara Lowe a practicing psychologist who specializes in helping wounded people recover and reclaim their destinies, take a deep and serious dive into discussions about where traumas begin, what the typical range of reactions are, how people tend to live when they don't resolve them and what modalities are available to help people recover and thrive. If you've ever experienced loss, trauma, deep disappointment, rejection, or neglect, you'll want to listen in to the show to find hope and methods of gaining freedom and healing that can start to set you free. We deep dive into some pretty heavy topics, sharing from both her professional training and experience, her personal journey, mixed in with some of my usual analogies and visual interpretations of challenging situations from my own life. It's raw, real, but ultimately meant to encourage anyone who listens to tap into courage and boldness and learn apply more self-love and self-compassion to soothe hurting hearts. God hears, sees and knows about it all, and wants us to be whole and free. Dr. Barbara's expertise and deep love for hurting people will bless and hopefully move you toward your own journey of healing, freedom and returning back to your heart's home with God. I know you will be as blessed listening in as we were having this powerful interaction and discussion!

It's a breakthrough show! For the first time ever, I've interviewed a "sassy" male guest! Beau Henderson is a financial planner and educator who is passionate about improving FISCAL and PHYSICAL health. On the show we have a very important conversation about how generations of families can get stuck in destructive patterns of thinking and acting because they never received the education to know how to live in a healthy physical and financial way. What is so great about our conversation is how Beau and I have such a similar approach to helping people in our chosen fields. What you do to start and execute a sound financial plan can also be applied to beginning and creating a healthy living plan too. Beau is one smart and caring man, and I know you'll enjoy hearing from him. Be sure to check out the show notes at www.BoldBraveSassyShow.com for the downloads, the survey link mentioned on the show and a special offer for grabbing a copy of Beau's book too.

If you live on Planet Earth, the struggle with anxiety and/or depression is a real possibility. My guest this week is an expert in the field of Neuro-Psychology..which combines the best of psychiatry and neurology and psychology. Simply described, they study brain behavior relationships to be able to arrive at a conclusion of what the root of the problem is and then determine what the appropriate course of treatment. Through her studies, her work with patients and her own personal journey through depression, she's learned that while those disorders can materialize as mental or physical challenges, we've overlooked the fact that they can also, and very often are rooted in spiritual battles. On the show she shares her insights and experience both personal and professional with moving past them, no matter what the source.

Erin Sanderson AKA Fit Rocker Chick is going to be your new girl crush. In addition to be a talented musician and vocalist, Thyroid Health Advocate and Social Influencer. You would never suspect that my guest, Felicia Slattery nearly had her vocation and passion taken away because of cancer. She has such a positive attitude, and no doubt it helped her to defeat the lung cancer that could have stolen her professional and personal speaking voice which for a while, it did...with no promise it would return. During those uncertain days, she had to find new strength and much of that she'd readily credit to her faith in and relationship with God. Hear from this amazing author, college professor, entrepreneur and executive coach about the lessons she learned from this sudden and unexpected diagnosis (no, she wasn't a smoker, or had any of the other common environments that usually cause it), and how it deepened her already strong faith and gave her new perspective on life.

In this week’s episode, I chat with my friend Jessica Vaughn who is an author, speaker, fitness and nutrition coach. While you’d likely think together we would tackle how to eat and move for fitness, you’d be surprised that we didn’t. Instead, we talk about the traps we get into when we live from our emotions, react instead of respond to situations and embrace who you fully are.

We all have something we are doing or experiencing in life that we want to change. Whether it's our healthy, finances, relationships or self-image it seems the most consistent trait of a human is never being satisfied with our lives. But there are legitimate issues that likely are not serving you and that you've tried to change but found that you either haven't been able to do that OR you've done it, only to slip back into old patterns. In this episode, I fill you in on why that happens to you and pretty much every other person (unless they've already learned this), and the shift in priorities and focus you need to make in order to create a life you really love, including loving yourself too. Tune in and enjoy...subscribe, download and share with those you know who'd benefit from this mind-bending yet completely inspiring lesson on human motivation.

As humans, we fancy ourselves as "the masters of our own fate", and while we can take action that influences outcomes, it takes a ton more energy and effort than the ease of pace that God designed for us to live. In this show, I chat with author and entrepreneur, Shae Bynes. We talk about the sneaky trap that we can get caught in...the one where we are grinding out accomplishments and tasks as opposed to being connected to Him, surrendering to Him and following his leading. Does that sound foreign and strange to you? It does for many people and admittedly, I go in and out of being in total trust and sliding back into taking back the reigns then getting caught up in my agendas and timelines on a regular basis. This very lively, fun yet deep conversation hopefully will remind you that the things that God wants you to do with your life have nothing to do with accomplishment as humans define it. He wants us, our hearts, our attention and he wants to bless us in our own special way for His reasons and purposes. Some of the specific topics we tackle in this show are: Walking out the idea of Grace over Grind in our lives. Why living life with a "child-like" faith is one of the keys to peace in life and simplicity, with exuberance and trust. Why looking smack in the face of our "worst-case scenario fears" often frees us from false fears and out-of-propoprtion worries. "What's the worst thing that could happen? But did you DIE?" Why walking on water requires that you keep your eyes above the water, not focused on the danger below the surface or your risk sinking into the darkness. Taking risks and starting new things is less scary when we partner with God and allow him to light our path and fill us with supernatural creativity. And as usual, so much more than I could ever write about because listening to it will get you fired up and excited about going after your dreams and goals. To help remind you that God is by your side, He's already made a way for you and is delighted when you include Him in your plans every step of the way.

My guest this week, Kellie Frazier, could have easily stayed behind the scenes in her introverted personality as she'd always done. But God had other plans for her. After a Traumatic Brain Injury and months of recovery and lost abilities and time, Kellie emerged as a different person in personality, confidence and in a crazy turn of events that only God could orchestrate, was given a new and unexpected career in writing and coaching. On this week's show, we get into some really deep and extremely powerful stories about how God has shown up and given us both direction in our recent lives. From getting free of alcohol to recovering a brain and a marriage, God has really shown up in both or our lives in crazy amazing ways that we share on in this show. Some of the amazing lessons we discuss on this show are: How to become willing to be used when prompted, even if the full instructions are not clear. How to take charge of fear when it knocks on your door and wants to take up residence in your heart and mind. What it means to "change your dirty diaper" in your life Why supernatural experiences are real and not just for fiction and fantasy books and movies, and how to be tuned in to them for growing your relationship to our Poppa, God. What God has prepared for you to experience through walking closely with Him Why you're likely misusing the power of words in your life and it's part of why you are not experiencing life like you want to be How to break the habit of being stubborn to change, especially the ones that will positively change your life This is a very powerful and at times very intensely spiritual show. God is so present with us, I hope that you can sense Him in our conversation, it's amazing and honestly, we both got pretty lost in just having a conversation about our awesome experiences walking through life with God at our sides. I hope it radically blesses you!

This show’s topic is primarily directed toward you and no we are not talking sex or periods…something much more important that impacts EVERY day of your life in every way! I know, I know….but don’t get your panties all in a bunch, it’s good stuff I think you’re going to want to hear. You know how women, in GENERAL, talk more than men, right? Well, that propensity for being chatty means we have more opportunities to potentially get ourselves in trouble AND set us on a course that makes us feel WORSE about ourselves not better. On this show, it’s just me. No guests, no fluff. It’s just me talking about the sharpest tool we possess and how it has the power to build and the power to destroy. From my own life I know I have a fair amount of regret over things I said that I wish I hadn’t and things I wished I had the courage or the words to say even though it was tough to do. I bet you can list some examples of this from your own life. It’s exactly what I go into in this episode- stories, tips, course correction techniques and encouragement that will help you change your ways if you’re in TOO much of a habit of letting that tongue of yours inflict damage on yourself or others. OR of course, if you have spent a lifetime holding back and NOT speaking the things that need to be said. This show is a quick one, a mear 19 mins, but it’s power packed with helpful realizations and insights I’ve learned along my journey to becoming a better, bolder, braver, sassier human!

Melanie Greenough is the epitome of an overcomer and survivor. She not only lived through horrible abuse but incredible trauma and physical challenges all in her early life to become a very successful and happy woman. Moving through life and deciding to be a THRIVER and not a victim was a conscious decision that she made, and making confident decisions has become the hallmark of her life and what she teaches others to do as well. On this show, Melanie and I talk a ton about the mindset it takes to: Move on beyond your past experiences and decisions that led you to undesirable outcomes; Decide to believe your true identity and how doing that will add to the quality of your life and making your goals a reality; What happens in our lives when we live from fear driving our decision-making vs. confidence being the force behind what we choose to do

In this show, Kim fills us in on her specific strategies for a ton of social media related issues and functions like: Protecting herself from posts or people that are full of negative energy. Insights and updates about Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter Read on to dig into the details. Kim suggests that instead of UNFRIENDING them, she will simply UNFOLLOW them. She reserves unfriending for those people who are hateful, cruel or unsavory. Something to know is that when you unfriend someone, they are NOT notified so you don't have to worry feeling bad or "getting caught" doing it. Eventually, they might figure it out because you'll no longer see each other's feeds but you can deal with it if someone happens to ask. Kim had a great suggestion for insulating yourself from seeing undesirable people or posts by creating a FRIENDS LIST. That way, you can keep track of the lives of people that you have commonality with, and build on the relationships that you really want to cultivate. She also suggests going the extra mile and to have conversations with those people instead of just "liking" what they post. One of the cures for this age of social anxiety and isolation is to get back to loving each other as people, and having real emotions again. If you have a business, you can also use the Friends list to build a list for business purposes too. Clients, peers, thought leaders, you can follow those people specifically by putting them into a friends list. Another tip is to remember that you won't be everyone's cup of tea. If you have thousands of FRIENDS or connections on social media, that is a lot of relationships to maintain, and it's likely that you won't have the same type of relationship beyond just an online one with most of them, and that is ok! Stick with the people who love and appreciate you.

Big goals and passionate dreams are commonplace...sadly, for many people they remain dreams and never become a reality. It's not about deserving or not wanting those things bad enough, sometimes the hang up is a lack of clarity and planning. In this episode, I share the step-by-step formula that from my book, Breakthrough to Freedom, The Ultimate Guide to Creating a Life You Love, ON PURPOSE. Think of the path to dream attainment like going on a trip. The formula I refer to in this training is F.R.E.E.D.O.M, and I go into all the details and take you through the steps on the show. Tune in for a special offer to work on YOUR plan with me!

Because this show is all about YOU as the whole person, and getting free from things that hinder all of us from doing that, I wanted to share some thoughts on HABITS and PATTERNS we often live from in our lives without thinking: What they are, How they begin What we can and can't do to control them The human brain is fascinating and amazing! It uses approximately 25% of the body's energy per day, many of the functions happen without our input. Because of this, the brain needs to make as many functions as possible as efficiently as possible to conserve energy. One of the ways it does this is by creating habits for behaviors we do frequently. PATTERNS Patterns are behaviors that are based on our motivations and values. They are somewhat automatic but now ruled so much by a reward system. How we do anything is how we do everything, across all different areas of our lives, relationships, education, careers, and recreation. Listen in to learn about how habits and ingrained behavior patterns affect our lives every day and how you can learn to use them to your advantage and get free of the ones that hold you back!

We all struggle to make a change. Sometimes getting out of those old patterns takes commitment and re-commitment. If you’ve come up against a roadblock in your transformation journey, consider the following: Have you taken the time to consider what might be holding you back? Have you made a contingency plan for when you get tripped up? Have you determined what the cost of transformation will be for you, and are you ready to pay the price? (If your answer is NO—congratulations on being real with yourself! But please, read and listen on…)
