Kevan Miller played hockey the right way. His journey to the NHL went from being cut multiple times, grinding through tryouts and the minors, and then laying his body on the line night in and out to earn a successful career and the respect of Boston Bruins fans everywhere. However, that success didn't come without a price. His body took a beating and injuries robbed years from his career and even an opportunity to win the Stanley Cup. You'd think this kind of journey would make Kevan a bitter man... but it's quite the opposite. He's one of the nicest, most humble, and purpose-filled family men I've ever met. And this discussion is encouraging for both hockey and non-hockey fans alike who know what it's like to overcome pain and regret. If there ever was a man meant to direct movies, it would be Rocco. Rocco and I have crossed paths over the years, but thanks to his gracious invitations to hang with his film family, we’ve become great friends. I first saw Rocco’s work when I watched the Flyboys in 2008. My mind was blown. It was so cinematic and amazing. A total family adventure. Rocco talked about his crazy adventures directing this film, getting arrested while driving cross county, which eventually led to him meeting his wife. Rocco took a break from directing to raise his boys, and once they finally grew up, dove back into his love for cinema. He recently directed a doc about demolition derby and the insane desire people have had to smash the crap out of each other. Seeing a hole in the marketplace, Rocco created a streaming platform called “ Wheelhouse ” which is solely focused on creating motorsports content. The platform launches later this month and we’re super stoked to see people’s responses to this amazing doc! Founder of Muunifi, Taylor Perkins shares the purpose behind Muunifi and how it provides a place for people to connect to successful entrepreneurs, learn from them, and support others in the community along the way. Normally as a teenager, kids are into cars, rock’n’roll, etc. Taylor may have been into those, but he also had an incredible obsession with the financial market. The idea of investing money and seeing it compound into something greater made the wheels in his head spin. After finding mentors and getting a bit of capital through sales, Taylor learned as much as he could about the financial systems of the world and started investing. He became a guru in the space, helping others reach financial freedom along the way. He then dove into the cryptic world of crypto, and with smart investing, retired before the age of 30! Seeing the struggles that financial strain had on others, he decided to start Muunifi, a social platform that helps fellow investors connect with others and learn strategies that will help them achieve their financial goals. Taylor is just a super rad dude. Full of passion and super stoked to help others succeed. It was so great chatting with him and we’re excited to see his platform launch and take the world by storm. Bryan Clayton shared with us several solid tips that led to his massive and ongoing success with GreenPal. Before starting GreenPal Bryan Clayton founded Peachtree Inc. one of the largest landscaping companies in the state of Tennessee growing it to over $10 million a year in annual revenue. GreenPal, being called the "Uber for lawn care" by Entrepreneur magazine, is an awesome mobile app that helps homeowners connect with the right lawn care professional nearest to them. So not only are homeowners getting easier access to people that can help them with their yards, but lawn care businesses are also benefiting greatly from this app with increased business! One of the great tips Bryan shared in this episode was to "celebrate the small things". In the beginning stages of the app, he set a goal with his team to make 100 sales in a week to prove to themselves that growing the business was not only possible, but realistic. When they reached that goal, they went crazy with the celebration as if they had just won a Nobel Prize. They have since grown the business so much larger and GreenPal now has over 300,000 active users! Growing up in Hawaii, Alan learned very quickly that paradise didn't come cheap. Alan and his family always had a survival mentality. They made ends meet, but just barely. Tami’s superpower is that she always knew the power of being unique. Even as a kid, she knew that creating your own path was where you can find authenticity and power. She created BeUtoFullness to help find their own unique formula for success and joy. Her creative mind can never stop however, and recognizing the struggles that kids have faced dealing with their own emotions, she created InUpowers to help deal with the epic feelings they have inside themselves. And it’s so simple and so deep! This animated book is a great resource for teachers to use when helping kids navigate the world of emotions. It’s been such a successful program that sex trafficking survivors have used it as means to thrive after facing such horrific experiences. Her hope is to turn InUpowers into its own animated series. It was such a joy to chat with Tami! Enjoy! _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. You're the best!

Mark Sanborn is an incredible guy. A successful entrepreneur, author, and public speaker, his book "The Fred Factor" has sold over 2 million copies. In it, he talks about his postal serviceman Fred who quietly went above and beyond to make sure his customers got their mail. Fred truly loved people and through his actions, showed his care and concern. It's not what job you do but how you do it. Mark spent a bit of time diving into his book and talked about how to do things genuinely and why you should strive inwardly to be a Fred in all of your interactions. It was awesome getting to know Mark and if you haven't checked out this book, definitely put it on your list!! _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. Ben and Chad Truman are just outstanding human beings. Period. Growing up in Nashville and seeing levels of success their dad has in the country music scene, they knew the importance of staying grounded despite any success they may have. We talked about the dangers of virality as artists and what placing our values could do there. We also talked about how our weaknesses can be used to benefit our art. Chad shared how he was a bit tone deaf and his ability to sing really came from his ability to turn notes into mathematical equations. Pretty amazing stuff! I really enjoyed getting to know both of them on this incredible level. Casey Elliott is one of those people that makes the world that much better of a place, simply by existing. He exudes coolness and kindness. I was shocked that our paths hadn't crossed before due to us roaming around similar circles. I was then even more shocked when I realized his dad is a good friend of mine! We laughed as we chatted about the many random and amazing coincidences that we both shared. Casey talked about the formation of their Gentleman Trio or Gentri, and the path of success that followed. We discussed how art can take a life of its own well after creation and how we need to be careful of the type of art we gift the world. Great times talking with this great man. The first time I chatted with Curtis, I was immediately aware of the light in his eyes. You can tell he operates his life with absolute grace. We laughed as we talked about his discovery of entrepreneurship and how that led him to many different ventures. His book, The Entrepreneur's paradox talks about the 16 different pitfalls you face as an entrepreneur. We chatted about proper goal setting and identifying what type of business you are involved in, whether you are seeking to create a lifestyle business, a business that will be acquired, or going for that IPO. We also chatted about summiting Kilimanjaro and how that completely changed his viewpoint on business. So much so, that after coming back a changed man, he completely rewrote his book! This podcast was amazing. So many incredible nuggets of truth! One truth being what happens when you change the question of "what if" to "what is". Great man and great podcast. John Hilton is a genuinely happy man. He has light oozing out of him. Not only is he a fellow snowboarder and a magician, he is a fellow brother in Christ. He had his magical award winning moment as an author when we won a competition in 3rd grade, and already he felt he was on his life path. It was great doing a deep dive with him about considering the broken Christ on the cross. Sarath. Sweet Sarath. How I love this guy. As you can tell from last names, Sarath and I are brothers. I'm 5 years older, and we have been blessed to have a great relationship our whole lives. Sarath and I were raised by the same parents but have lived two very different lives. Our paths are finally crossing after years of being on two different journeys. While my life consisted of being obedient to parents because of fear, Sarath rebelled. He hated authority. He hated restrictions. He wanted to create his own rules. He admits that oftentimes this led to disaster. Sarath got involved in drugs over a decade ago and that ruined his life for a very long time. He talked about his suffering and everything he did to survive. Sarath finally saw he wanted a desperate change in his life and went to treatment centers for help. He is now a completely changed man, being 4 years clean. He has incredible light in his life and loves to help people anywhere he can. He is very articulate and intelligent in his thoughts and wants to share his light. Although I knew a glimpse of his story, on the podcast we dove deep and I got to hear so many details of his life. It was truly incredible for me. Hope you all enjoy it. _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. Greg Trimble is one of those people who does things. I know that sounds pretty vague, but there's a lot of people out there who don't do things because they're afraid the outcome might not live up to their expectations. So to expound a little, when Greg has a cool idea, there's no back burner for him to throw the idea on to be tackled later, he just does it. He's already started plenty of businesses, written several books, and written tons of blogs. One of his most treasured lessons he learned from a tech company he created in college. He learned the importance of building a strong and healthy culture at the foundation of a company, which is what he practices currently at the digital marketing agency he founded, Lemonade Stand ! Greg is such a great guy, I love our conversations! If you haven't had the chance yet to read his books, you're missing out! Check out his website for all of his books, blogs, and any future updates! If Ganel-Lyn and I could get a dollar for the many times our names have been butchered by others, we would probably have billions of dollars in bitcoin. From talking about having braces in our adult years to feeling we are in the middle of heavy stuff, our podcast was so filled with light and joy because we discussed so much of the author of Light and Joy. Ganel-Lyn doesn't shy away from her spiritual faith, because it is at the root of who she is. And she is an absolute delight to be around. She is filled with so much knowledge and was dropping truth bombs after truth bombs. We had such a fun time discussing the things that truly bring us joy and lift us out of despair. When Ganel-Lyn lost her sister to death by suicide, she felt the lowest of the lows. Getting out of that was no easy task, but in the process, really came to know her Maker. Although Brandon and I haven't known each other for a long time, I feel like we have become brothers from another mother. We met just over a month ago and learned that we felt so aligned in so many different ways. And as I got to know him more, I sensed that he has one of the purest hearts of the people I know. He just wants to do good. He always had a vivid imagination and figured out a way to turn his imagination in a very successful career as an author. His story of "The Other End of the Hippo" and "FableHaven" are just incredible. Today we chatted about his journey becoming an author, from writing books that no one ever wanted to publish to selling over 2 million books worldwide and creating experiences that people can latch on to. As an avid reader, I have been such a fan of his works so it was really a privilege to chat with him about the things that mean most to him. His 5th book in the Dragon Watch series comes out October 26th and concludes the Kendra and Seth story that he penned back in 2006. We talked about his books, the wrecking balls in life that made him lose hope, and the healing power of God that brought life back to him. Such a great time chatting with this man. "We treat our employees even better than we treat our customers." - Rachel Seems like radical advice, but the infusion of positivity in the lives of the employees is one of the main reasons Thirst is expanding and growing at the rate that they are. It's not just about the specialty drinks and snacks. It's about the experience the customers have when they walk through the door. An experience, only genuinely happy employees can give. With that mindset, and the power of free social media, Thirst has exploded. Rachel sat down with me at the Lemonade Stand and shared some of her secrets as to why Thirst has been exploding in business, especially during times when the world was shutting down. She and her partner Ethan, who also happens to be the CEO, have found a great rhythm working together. She said the secret to their success is also to have autonomy in their relationship and empower each other all along the way. We had a great chat today and am now thirsty for their beverages. Warning: This podcast does get dark. Will goes into detail about what he witnessed. -- Will Beck is an extraordinary human being. And this was a very extraordinary podcast. Normally I chat extensively with my guests regarding their line of work, how they got here, etc. But Will went through a very horrific incident that he opened up to me about. In 1999, the world was shocked to hear about a public school shooting at Colombine High school in Littleton, CO. It was unheard of and terrifying. Will was a sophmore in Colombine HS at the time and went through the ordeal. From seeing people get shot to barely making it out himself, Will has a fresh perspective of hope from the entire incident. Senseless tragedies like this help us very quickly see what is most important in life. Grateful Will was able to come and share his story. _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. If you grew up watching LDS movies like Singles Ward, RM, and Mobsters and Mormon, you will have heard of John Moyer's name. John wrote those movies and directed Mobsters and Mormon as well. But John as led a very eclectic and cool life. In addition to writing and directing, John also spent years as a stand up comedian. He noticed however that audience members started to dwindle but showed up in groves whenever a stage hypnotist showed up. He then pivoted and declared that he was going to be a stage hypnotist. He did so, and crushed it. But along the way, John started to learn about the true power of the mind. Especially when he attempted suicide. He realized the depression he suffered came from the stories his mind was creating. Understanding this from a new point of view, he started to learn how the mind could be rewired, and as a result, experience a different kind of life. He became a certified hypnotist, meaning one who could actually help people through hypnotherapy. He created a youtube channel that exploded and has helped many, many people around the world. One of John's mantras is "Circumstances don't matter, only your state of being does." Grounding himself in a positive state of being, he started to watch as rough circumstances in his life faded away and positive experiences came into his life. He is now married to the woman not of his dreams because he couldn't even dream of her being that amazing and wonderful. He is continuing to make a positive impact wherever he goes. In 2020, two friends hid $5,000 dollars in the mountains of Utah, leaving cryptic clues to lead locals on an epic four-day treasure hunt. The motivation behind the hunt? Simply to get people outside and having fun after months of COVID pandemic quarantine. In 2021, they raised the stakes to $10,000—and left a series of clues that took seventeen days to solve as thousands of people raked the hiking trails along the Wasatch Front. In 2022, they went even further and are giving away $20,000 in a treasure chest, that is, if you're clever enough to solve their riddle 😉. Now this isn't even the craziest part, they're not doing just one hunt for 20k, but 3 separate treasure hunts throughout the year, each with a chest of 20,000 dollars waiting at the end! So who was behind these epic treasure hunts? John Maxim and David Cline, two Salt Lake City residents and business owners. John is a real estate mogul and house flipper, and David is an author and investor. Our host Charan Prabhakar talked with them about their experience planning the hunts, how this year’s adventure exploded to get international attention, and the unexpected ways these treasure hunts have inspired individuals and brought families and communities closer. When the chairman of Sega calls to design video games for them, Steven Hoffman had no choice but to drop everything and go. Sounds like a crazy adventure, but this just skims the surface of Steven’s reality. Steven has gone down the path of many different start ups. Some have been wildly successful and some have failed miserably. In those failures, he learned that so much of his suffering came from the negative script he was playing over and over in his head. He learned that there were many voices going on in his head and he had the power to turn down one voice and amplify another. Doing so, his life started shifting dramatically. He didn’t overly place his value on the success of his company. He focused more on how he would act and react to the things life through his way. Currently he is the CEO of Founders Space, One of the top incubation companies in the world. He loves seeing future entrepreneurs succeed and is so open to chatting with everyone. Chad is truly the salt of the earth. I don’t say that only because he has salt and pepper hair. He is truly one of the most genuine and kind guys I have met working in film. And he happens to be the main producer of the Chosen, which has now reached over 200 million views on their app alone. It’s been a wild, wild ride and he has been on the forefront, helping keep the ship afloat. We joked that if anything was going to happen, it would always happen on that show. From freak storms to freezing temperatures, to managing thousands and thousands of extras all wearing period pieces, The Chosen has had its fair share of challenges. And Chad has been in the boxing ring, taking care of each of the fires. We talked a lot about what it takes to rely on God and each other, and how to avoid the self centeredness that plagues the industry. Chad gave some incredible bits of wisdom on the business side of filmmaking and talked about how to find joy in the challenges. Great advice for life, really. Why would anyone choose to crawl through broken glass? I would never consider doing that as a bucket list item. Yet Derral figuratively has, over and over and over. Jared is the founder of Tribehouse, a company whose focus is to gather as many tribes as possible. He loves the connection that comes from authentic relationships. He has found that his best business ventures happened when he worked with those he truly cared about. This has led to make wise choices not just in business, but in life. As the Founder of Epic Journey Leadership Geoff loves to build transformative leaders and teams through the creation of authentic culture forged in trust, love and the magic of shared experiences. But what exactly does that all mean? After years of coaching volleyball at the University level, he saw the incredible benefits of nature and adventure to unify high performing athletes. When every individual came to the university at the top of the game, he saw that they all had different personalities and approaches to the game of volleyball. He knew that until they started to understand one another from a soul level, they would never have the chemistry to play together effectively. Using retreats to form connections, Geoff discovered the power of narratives. Having positive narratives yielded to positive life experiences and vice versa. Can destruction of life be a good thing? Eric certainly seems to think so. His life has been destroyed many times. His heart has broken so much that he was physically damaged. And yet through it, Eric expanded. He grew. He knew that the comfy little cottage he had created needed to be destroyed so that the mansion that was always him could grow. Eric is truly an artist. He has found passion in acting, music, body building, and pretty much anything that has captured his heart. Being an Osmond, he has known fame his entire life. But it never phased him. Instead of trying to steal the spotlight, he would go and talk to the people in the background, those that never had their voices heard. And he found profound meaning in giving back to the world. Eric's music has touched those that have gone through the darkest despair and we are all lifted because of it. We had a poignant, deep conversation about life and the many ups and down he has personally gone through. But in his eyes, you can find peace. Michael is the definition of a serial entrepreneur. From selling used fireworks to creating his own haunted house all before the age of 10, he loved the what impact his creations could have. Having hopped around from different venture to different venture, his main passion has been film and he was able to scratch that itch producing the film Inspired Guns back in 2013. Daniel is fascinated by creators, entrepreneurs, real estate, personal finance, strategy, restaurants, personal finance, decision making, and influence. His passion is to help others change their mindset regarding money, teaching them how to properly budget, invest, etc. But this all came because of his own identity around money. After accumulating a lot of money, Daniel became obsessed with appearance. He needed everyone to know he was making plenty of money. He had a nice car, treated everyone to nice dinners, left $100 tips, all while racking up tons and tons of credit card debt. But his facade was everything to him. He had to keep it going. It wasn't until he married that his facade started to crumble. He had to come to terms with himself, realizing how much his false image of himself really cost him. Seeking help, he and his wife learned to budget together. After learning some consistent principles, he and his wife Mikayla started to see the incredible benefit of helping others change their mindset towards money as well. This has now become his passion. Levi has a fascinating story. Because of his vulnerability. By all measure, Levi is a successful entrepreneur. He has founded various businesses, scaled and hired employees, and put a dent in the world. But due to various drama in business, Levi experienced severe burnout. He had panic attacks, an overactive mind, inability to stay present, etc. After some inner battles, his wife declared that she just wanted her husband back. That hit him like a ton of bricks. He recognized that the worldly success he was chasing just didn't matter. He openly started discussing his burn out on social media platforms, and truthfully, got flack from other entrepreneurs. But he kept being vulnerable and open. He learned how important mental health was for well being. Levi continues to do business, but is very mindful about how much he tries to take on. After graduating from high school, Bret went on to play football at BYU and also the Raiders. But as we started diving deep into this podcast, I discovered a lot of things about my old friend. For one, life threw him many, many curve balls. Things did not go according to plan. Bret had to step into the dark many times in his life. And through it all, he learned and grew even more. He learned the importance of being nice to EVERYONE. He also learned that it's way more important to find joy in the process rather than the outcome. We talked about the illusion of control and how our unpredictable future has led to understanding what is really the most important thing in his life. Can a frugal mindset be an abundant one? Jordan and Bubba Page declare that it absolutely is. While raising their family and having minimal finances, Jordan came up with really creative ways to live within their means while raising a family. And they found incredible ways to live a very memorable and fun life while keeping things on the cheap. She decided to share her knowledge on her blog and youtube channel. They have lived a very very full life, despite business failures, ups and downs of life, etc. One of their most important focuses in life focuses on lifestyle rather than acquiring material things. They have also spent a considerable amount of time teaching their kids the value of hard work rather than taking their now current financial blessings for granted. What did the fig tree moment represent for all of us? If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then you my friends are sadly missing out on a transformational experience. In season 2 episode 2 of The Chosen , the future apostle Nathanael was sitting as a broken man, his entire dream for his life now in absolute ruins. Austin, who plays Nathanael, chatted with me over an hour about his life and the circumstances that landed him on The Chosen. We talked about the nature of the world and how that moment represented so much of the brokenness the world feels and how we can build ourselves back up again. I don’t know if either of us planned on discussing some of the heavy subjects we discussed, but man was it awesome. Austin, himself, is a happy guy and is extremely humbled and grateful that his part on The Chosen has had such a worldwide impact. We talked about how to have joy in a constantly evolving world. Such powerful stuff. Hope you enjoy! _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. You're the best!

Have you all ever heard of the 4 quadrants of high trust? Well I certainly haven’t until yesterday, when I chatted with Hank about some of his amazing research. I won’t spoil them for you here, but Hank identified 4 points that went properly applied, can increase trust in others. Powerful, powerful stuff. Hank is a genius like that. He loves to serve people and better humanity. With this at his core, he has turned into a successful coach, motivational speaker, author, husband, father, and overall rad human being. He has definitely become quite popular in LDS circles, inspiring many with his messages of hope and God’s love. Over the last 6 months, Hank has faced his share of heaviness and trials, but was very open and friendly talking about his challenges. In the end, I personally came away with incredible tools to build up my life after having him on the podcast. Hoping you all can do the same. Giavani is truly one of the most humble and positive people I know. In an industry filled with ego, Giavani has none of it. From my day on set, Giavani made me feel so at home with everyone. His connection was genuine because that’s just who he is. Even a few days later, when the cast was getting together for fun, Giavani sent me a text asking if I wanted to join. Giavani’s credits his ability to love from his mom, who always supported him and believed in him. Life hasn’t been easy for him. Never really knowing his biological father, his step dad was the world to him. Believed him, encouraged him, etc. But after he passed away, Giavani lost a lot of confidence in himself. In our podcast, we talked a lot about how he went about regaining a lot of his confidence back through acting. We also chatted about little daily decisions and miracles that took place which eventually landed him a regular role on the Chosen. Such a fun time chatting with Giavani. Enjoy! I don’t think there are words in any of the World’s languages that can adequately describe how charming and amazing Yasmine is. Maybe Latin or Adamic, but I don’t think those languages are spoken anymore. Yasmine truly is an incredible person with an incredible heart and she is so captivating to watch on the Chosen. She plays Thomas’s possible girlfriend, possible wife, still not sure yet. And she does an incredible job keeping things grounded and relatable. We chatted about her role on the show but more specifically about the subscribing to the philosophy of miracles in life. We talked about signs that would happen in our lives and how circumstances sometimes feel so divinely orchestrated leading us to magical moments. We also discussed how openness and space is what is needed to center yourself back in life. We also had interesting conversations about immigrant parents and how the traditions she grew up with didn’t always support her choice of being an actress. Lots of very insightful topics were discussed in this podcast. Enjoy! Today's podcast has been a special one. I've known Jason Allred for almost 20 years now and Bryce and I connected a few years ago. The two of them teamed up to create an anthology film "Mission Stories" which will make its debut May 7th. Bryce directed the films which will hopefully turn into a series that will air on Deseret Book's streaming platform. We had the chance to chat about our own personal mission stories and how the Lord brought us out of some of our hardest spots in life. Mission Stories depicts honest and real challenges people have faced and how people have come out stronger. Bryce and Jason shared some deep and insightful things that I was extremely inspired by. In the end, I think I benefitted more than them. Very awesome podcast! Enjoy. Eric is an ageless guru. Seriously since the many years I've known him, he hasn't aged a day. He is the king of "Yes, and..." In the world of improv, the "Yes, and..." rule is the one rule to follow. You agree and accept what has been given to you, and you add upon it. Eric talks about how this rule not only applies to improv but to life itself. We chatted about where to find your source of fulfillment in a career that ebbs and flows so frequently. We also chatted about his new show, "Prank Academy" playing currently on Pluto TV, and how positive pranks have the ability to lift people's spirits. Jordan truly is a legend. He has had the courage and ability to take a perceived weakness and turn it into a massive strength in his life. Being born with many health issues including cerebral palsy, Jordan felt the shame that came from being bullied in High School. Growing up shy, he had discovered that being on stage made him feel very, very alive. But that passion for acting often led him to facing insecurities because of his limp. He found that casting directors would look down at his feet whenever he walked in the room. This made him feel quite insecure as he journeyed through life. Then, when the Chosen miraculously came in his life, director Dallas Jenkins, had the foresight to use his illness to bring great depth and power to his character. Now Jordan hopes to inspire people everywhere that you can use whatever perceived insecurity you have and turn it into a force for good. In addition to being on the Chosen, Jordan is currently looking for opportunities to go speak to youth about the dangers of bullying and how to be a force for good in the world. Truly an honor to have him on the podcast. Enjoy! Randy Garn truly is a serial entrepreneur. From selling worms to local fisherman to opening up miniature golf courses, to taking out women's garbage for $1, Randy loves the idea of being self sufficient by truly serving others. He loves working with his best friends in everything that he does. And he absolutely LOVES people. This he feels is the secret to all of his success in life. He truly has desires to serve and love people. Instead of thinking of how much financial gain he could make with a deal, he thinks about how best to serve someone. This has attracted much of the success in Randy's life. Above all, his relationship with his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have come first in his life. By prioritizing them first in his life, he has felt that everything else just magically fell into place the way it was meant. Randy exudes joy. Rick Macy is not a force to be reckoned with. Truly a man of God, he has been led his whole life to shine his light into the world. Growing up, acting was the furthest thing from Rick's heart. But even as a sophomore in high school, when his uncle who served in WW2 asked him what he was going to do with his life, Rick had absolutely no idea. He didn't play baseball professionally and was at a bit of a loss where to go. On a whim, while at BYU, he decided to give acting a shot. He was terrified to perform on stage, but kept pushing himself to face his fears. Still unsure if this was to be his profession, he turned to his faith and asked God if this is what he was meant to do. He knew raising a family would be tough as an actor. Yet he asked anyway. After a profound spiritual experience, Rick used his acting talents to share his love of God with the world, and we are all better for it! Rick has been in some amazing productions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and his performances have literally healed people. Rick remains very humble and has inspired thousands of students to build their solid foundation before they commit to acting. And I was honored to be one of those students. Michael Flynn is an absolute legend. His voice alone could soothe the nations. He is a prolific actor that has been in over 100 movies! Just check out his IMDB! He's been in the film business since the 80s and has acted in movies like Footloose, The Best Two Years, and the Lamb of God to name a few. He has a motto for his incredible success: Never give up. And he hasn't. He will never retire. He loves what he does—so much so that in this business that is more volatile than investing in Bitcoin, he has thrived. Even in tough times, he has been able to make it through and care for his family. Michael can be seen in front of and behind the camera. One of his most recent films, "Who We Are", is one that he directed and touches on subjects that are quite sensitive in our community. But he knows it's important to talk about. Madilyn Paige is seriously one of the most talented, beautiful, and humble people I've ever met. We originally met on a film set of her music video, where I played the part of a very, very irate customer that took all my grievances on poor Madilyn. Later on, after being in a terrible car accident, Madilyn comes to the rescue. It was an epic music video and we had an insane amount of fun. This led to an amazing friendship with an incredible human. Madilyn is so so gifted in singing and has used her talents to bless the world. So many people have found healing through her music. After some amazing career opportunities leading her to be a contestant on the Voice, Madilyn has used her influence to do good in the world. She is in the process of releasing single after single, one every month. And her song touches the soul. She has so much passion and love, and wants others to come alive. Sweet sweet Chelsie Hightower. Easily one of the most chill, grounded, and positive people you'll ever meet. And a super amazing dancer. So much so that she spent 8 seasons on Dancing with the Stars as well as multiple seasons on So You Think You Can Dance. She's worked with amazing people that are at the top of their game, while maintaining her humility and groundedness. Despite seeing all these successes, Chelsie was very open with me about feeling inadequate to be on the show. She felt a lot of anxiety through the process, but used it as fuel to perform to the best of her abilities. Finally after years of personal growth and development, she realized that everyone had their inadequacies and were all "faking it till they made it." Learning these valuable lessons, she's creating multiple dance programs teaching young girls that you don't have to place your value on any external award from dancing. They can learn that they have infinite value already and dancing can be an expression of the value they already have. Powerful messages. Chelsie has an incredible story and I'm grateful she came on the podcast and shared! When Coach Matt Labrum got a whiff of the sluffing, the poor grades, and the cyberbullying, he knew he had to take action. Through a bit of investigation, he learned that football players from his team were responsible for these actions and knew that he needed to teach a lesson about accountability. After a series of discussions with members of faculty, assistant coaches, etc, he decided to suspend his entire football team for a season. Word got out. After a few local news stations interviewed him for his decision, he received a call from Anderson Cooper on CNN. The story went worldwide, praising the coach for his actions. Coach Labrum however remained very humble and shared that he didn't want this to be about him. He wanted the students to know that poor decisions won't go without their consequences. Chad Willardson, since the beginnings of his lawn mowing days, has seen the benefit from bringing value to people. Even though he didn't completely know what he wanted to do in college, he happened to visit the Merrill Lynch booth and realized that helping people with their finances spoke to him. Fast forward to years later, he started Pacific Capital, a firm in So Cal specifically focused on helping entrepreneurs and families with financial decisions. He further went on with a group of people to create the Draft Sports Complex, a 75,000 sq ft arena used for basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and stunts tournaments. And then Covid hit. And with that blow, when all games were suddenly cancelled, after sleepless nights, they've turned the facility into a charter school for kids whose parents are essential workers. Incredible story right there. Enjoy! _____ Contact us: Reach out to us on Instagram , Facebook , or Linkedin Visit our Youtube channel for the video Thanks for listening. You're the best!

Preparation meets opportunity. That would be the phrase I would use to describe Brandon Doman. Incredibly humble, down to earth, and hard working, Brandon discovered his love for football when he was 8 and never looked back. Under the guidance of excellent coaches, he went from playing quarterback at Skyline HS, BYU, and ultimately, the 49ers. He is very humble about his success and credits much of his path to God. He truly believes in miracles. Many times when the ball happened to fall a certain way or a play to go down a certain path that led him to play in the NFL. After leaving the world of coaching football, Brandon pivoted to spend more time with his family and is now the CEO of Weigh Safe, a company that invented one of the most innovative trailer hitches in the world. We chatted about the incredibly different change in direction and how he was able to leave his football identity behind and still find value in what he is doing. Connor Boyack represents everything good about the American Dream. From finding his voice and creating his own path, he has founded the Libertas Institute, a non profit that has educated people on libertarian principles. He has created some of the laws that are now in effect in UT. Additionally, Connor is the author of the Tuttle Twins series, which has now sold over 1.2 million copies globally. This children's series, which educates children and adults on the principles of economics, has such a demand that he can't create enough content for his audience. Truly an entrepreneur's dream.
