Ep. 62 Co-Parenting with Ex Abusers & How to Hold Your Power in Those Dynamics for Yourself and Your Children with Angela Christian
In this episode of THE UNRULE/Y ENTREPRENEUR, I invited an amazing UNRULE/Y community member Angela Christian is a Silicon Valley CFO, best selling author, podcast host, RRT hypnotherapist, and mother of 3. After almost dying from black mold in 2015 and experiencing spirits trying to warn her child of the dangers, she began her spiritual journey. While keeping one foot in Silicon Valley, she trained in mysticism, shamanism, energy medicine, mediumship, and other healing arts. While on this journey, she began healing from the trauma of her past, including anorexia, addiction, domestic violence, and severe PTSD. She wrote a book, Manifestation Mastery, documenting pieces of this journey, while also filing for divorce. But it wasn't until she found me (through Kathrin Zenkina) and began taking my courses, most recently KN/OWN, and studying RRT that she experienced major quantum leaps. During a recent intensive with me she shared her idea about a new program: Clean BDE (Baby Daddy Energy) that was inspired by her journey of healing the toxic energy she had felt towards her 3 baby daddies. She was able to go from debilitating PTSD to feeling completely neutral about them...and one she'd even consider a friend. I flew to New York City to have it be a whole experience. Now, mind you guys, like I'm the girl who grew up in a trailer, one bedroom trailer that my dad and step mom slept in. We walk in and I am just filled with anxiety. My stomach is just a complete wreck and I'm like, “They're going to know I was the girl who grew up in the trailer. They're going to know I don't belong here. They're going to know I'm not like a multi-millionaire. When on a weight loss journey, it can be empowering to start with a desired feeling rather than just a number on the scale. Rather than solely focusing on reaching a certain weight or dress size, think about how you want to feel in your body. Maybe you want to feel energized, confident, or strong start with the feeling and then move with aligned action. By identifying these desired feelings, you can create a more meaningful and motivating goal. When you prioritize feeling good, you're more likely to make healthy choices that support your overall well-being. Focusing on desired feelings can help shift your mindset from a negative, restrictive mindset to a more positive, empowering one, ultimately leading to more sustainable and enjoyable weight loss. The nervous system plays a critical role in our body's ability to digest food and manage weight. When we experience stress, our nervous system responds by triggering the fight or flight response, which can slow down digestion and negatively impact our ability to lose weight. When the body is in a state of stress, it redirects blood flow away from the digestive system and towards the muscles, lungs, and heart, preparing the body for physical activity. This response can lead to a range of digestive issues. Chronic stress can lead to hormonal imbalances, such as increased levels of cortisol, which can contribute to weight gain and difficulty losing weight. Therefore, managing stress, through practices such as Rapid Resolution Therapy, regulating your nervous system can be a very beneficial tool for achieving weight loss goals.
