This has to be one the most emotional and great stories of a brand that I have recorded on menSwear by A Woman Podcast. I've never come across such a story where I myself froze throughout! Sushant began his journey in starting a brand in menswear with his brother, who was in the air force in India. What happened next will never prepare anyone for it, Sushant was not prepared what was coming his way. A brand that has so much value with the creative side, using the most amazing artisans, but the brand holds something so dear to one's heart it only makes you stronger that you have to hold onto it even more than ever! You have to join me in one of the most fascinating stories and conversations I have ever recorded for this podcast. A story that I have also know how it felt suddenly losing someone so dear and how Sushant tells his story in losing someone dear, but at the same time, how menswear in our each way got us back into Menswear. It's a very emotional episode. At the same time, with each of us creatives, we all have some sort of stories that also make us. You can find Country Made In here www.countrymade.in The title is called Beyond The Clouds, a tribute to Sushant's brother who began this journey and who will always remain on this journey with him.

Ed and Brant came up with an idea in 2015 inside a pub to start up a brand to make trousers. They found out that Hebden Bridge, where they live, used to be known as Trousertown. It used to make 20,000 pairs of trousers, not a year but a week! Wow! That's a lot of trousers. Sadly, things started to decline in these places as we all know how manufacturing started to stop. Brant and Ed in the pub came up with an idea! So it began a kick-started and crowd fund, and 2016 HebTroCo was here to stay. One of the most inspirational stories on how friendship brought so many wonderful people together to keep going with a brand that is only going from strength to strength and enjoying what they have began. Highlights of AW24-25 collection what was interesting from Details, Style, Textures, Silhouette, Colour, Elegant and design purpose. I've been following the shows that took place from Pitti Uomo, Milan to Paris, and overall some of the looks in menswear have been very wearable but focus on textiles and textures. Tailoring is huge as it always is, but most of all, it is oversized and loose tailoring with details and sporty. Tailoring is hugely important in menswear for my menswear. I've also like to mix sporty tailoring with classic tailoring. For me, the most stand out menswear has to be the following Neil Barett, Issey Miyake, Dries Van Noton, Botter and Fear of God America Symphony collection. Have a look at them and let me know what you think?

Will Brown and Marie Willey started Old Town clothing about 30 years ago. Leaving London heading to Norfolk, not knowing what will come of the move, but they did it and never looked back. So you come across a lot of different people in menswear, but once you get to hear the story behind, how a brand was developed is a pretty fascinating conversation. Paul Clapham, founder of Uskees a Workman Brand started a journey in not just developing a brand but understanding what makes a brand. I must say this is probably the first time I've come across a brand owner who's genuine in saying how important it is to have a design team, marketing team, production team, and manufacturing team, but allowing in building a team with the right people. I've worked for a few small brands but have not seen a setup or understanding like Paul has, which is great cause if you don't understand, will you ever understand how a brand creative works. Join me in this conversation with Paul talking about these things that he has realised how important they are for a brand and how I and other creatives have always mentioned developing a brand creativity is always is important and all time keeping it fresh and how important it is to have a team that also makes a brand. Last year, I recorded an episode with Mark Warman, the founder of Barnfield Customs, which was lost through technical issues. I decided to invite Mark to come and record again. Mark who's worked in digital marketing and had his own company in Marketing was not a stranger to entrepreneur, came up with an idea of reventing his grandfather army jacket, so he set on the journey in doing that. It was fascinating to chat with Mark, who doesn't come from a menswear background but has taken onboard the challenges that some of us know who are in the trade know how things work and of course the challenges and obstacles that we all face. After a year, I went back to talking to him, I found out how he developed and journeyed to get a jacket in the sense of a perfect functional product. Suited & Booted is a charity for vulnerable, unemployed and low-income men. The charity helps men get back into employment by providing suitable clothing for interviews. Maria Lenn the founder of Suited & Booted has come across many clients who have lost everything and in a sense, lost themselves. The charity also helps their clients with self-esteem and other emotional help to get back on track. I must say that Maria is an amazing, inspirational person. This interview was originally to be uploaded in August as part of our 2nd season but I decided to share it early. Many brands sell clothing. Many do it very well. With Stanley Biggs Clothiers, Sophie Bainbridge brings the past to life. Each piece tells the most amazing story, with the names of her products often reflecting true stories steeped in history. Just google Stanley Biggs himself and be transported in time. The products are made with such brilliance of detail and reverence for the past. I myself haven't come across a menswear brand with such echoes of the past. Reliving history. Stanley Biggs has such elements that take menswear to another level. We always say in menswear that after creating a design or collection a third eye is needed; The photographer. The often overlooked but oh so essential ingredient. This episode we talk with Hannah Miles. Her style and eye for menswear is bursting with creativity. Her sense of style and attention to detail travel far beyond fashion. I would describe Hannah as one of the most exciting and inspiring photographers in fashion right now.
