A cracking cast in a Gangster film set in the 1930's. Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner, Sean Connery - does it get much better? The story of Prohibition and the chase to bring down Al Capone. Eliot Ness is the man who brings him down but the story of the show is the heart and compassion of the man, and the way it hits his working day. Trev's never seen it - Stephen bloody loves it! Watch it now on Fetch up on your Hisense TV!

The 1981 story of Gallipoli was a school trip movie for Stephen Fenech, while Trevor Long has never seen it. This is less a story of war and more a story of the mindset of a nation and its citizens in wartime. Nothing we can relate to today. A very young Mel Gibson before his rise to fame stars and brings a sombre mood and reflection to us all as we watch it today around ANZAC Day. With thanks and respect to the service men and women who put their lives before ours today and in the years before now.

Jim Carrey's breakout role that showcases his brilliance as a comedic actor using every fibre of his being to portray the role of the crazy "Pet Detective". This may well be the best example of this podcast yet. Stephen Fenech has seen Good Will Hunting more times than it had Oscar nominations. While Trevor Long has never seen it. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon combine to create a drama about a young math genius working as a Janitor at MIT who goes on a journey of self-discovery, love and more. Robin Williams stars as his therapist, and Minnie Driver his love interest. A fascinating story that makes you think about almost every aspect of it - in a good way.
S1 E32 · Fri, March 18, 2022
Trevor Long has never seen or even heard of this movie. Yet Stephen Fenech has seen it multiple times and rates it quite highly. Directed by and Starring John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt, it's a really fascinating tale of a family, stuck in some post-apocalyptic scenario, where they must not make noises - for reasons that will become quite accurate. It's fascinating as a script, as a story, as well as how it's both shot and sounds. Stephen and Trevor will unpack this after the first viewing by Trev on his Hisense TV via the Fetch universal search.

This is one of Stephen Fenech's favourite movies of all time, so when he realised Trevor Long hadn't seen it - well, it had to be covered on the show. It's a 1993 release, set in the sixties about a young boy in the bronx who's life and upbringing is torn between his hard working dad and a local gangster. Starring and Directed by Robert De Niro it's got that class from the start, but co-star Chazz Palminteri's role is more than just as an actor in this film - as we'll discuss. James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar tops the charts as the highest grossing movie of all time, and it was ahead of its time. This film features some of the most impressive visual effects in cinema history, to the point it had to be filmed only when the technology required was available. An Oscar Winning classic - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a docu-like look at the lives of the men inside a mental institution. Well this is a bit different - American Psycho is a 2000 black comedy directed by Mary Harron and it's one of Stephen's favourites, because he read the book a heck of a lot of times and wants a movie representation to be faithful to the book. It's about excess and selfishness of the Yuppy era in the late 1980s, starring Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman somehow Trevor and Stephen bring Seinfeld into the episode. This is a podcast about a movie that everyone's seen - except Trevor.
