Why this podcast now? ‘Rising work stress and mental issues’ has been nominated by the CSIRO (plus equivalent North America stats) as a mega risk for the next 20 years - even before the pandemic began. Research by The Black Dog Institute found that 73% of Australians felt a decline in mental health during the pandemic. An increasing number of Executive Leadership Teams now have mental health and resilience on their agenda. We want to provide inspiration and practical tips for leaders who believe that future success requires equal emphasis on growth and employee mental health. We will unpick how caring leaders build a caring and mentally healthy culture. It will be long on examples that have work and short on unhelpful theory. Who is it for? Leaders who believe their #1 priority is to build more caring and resilient teams, who enjoy growing together. A caring leader prizes self-care, crew care, and red zone care. It will also be for the Project Managers who help implement their leader’s vision. Why should they listen? Listeners will hear from CEOs and GMs in Australia and Canada who have successfully built a caring culture. We will ask why they think employee mental health is a high priority. How do they lead their Executive Team to build positive mental health? Who did they learn from? Do they have any mental health measures in place? How do they integrate mental health with their strategy and other business imperatives. Project Managers will hear from others who have successfully executed plans that have improved workplace mental health. Subscribe now so you don't miss episode 01. Hosted on Acast.
