I sit down with Daniele Bolleli to discuss the human propensity toward darkness and chaos but to instead shine a light on all that is beautiful and heroic within us, despite the cards stacked against us. We explore the difference between “true evil” versus mere frustration and fear built up and then projected outward, and whether or not “evil” people actually know they are evil or if perhaps they think their evil deeds are rather virtuous. We then dive into how a lapse in stress management and overwhelm may cloud our character permanently should we choose not to learn from our mistakes. And then move onto the very important distinction between self-examination, self-condemnation, and refusal to acknowledge our errors at all. Daniele Bolelli is an Italian writer, university professor , martial artist , and podcaster based in Southern California . He is the author of several books on philosophy , and martial arts , including On the Warrior's Path . [2] Known for his writing since the 1990s in Italy and the early 2000s in the United States, Bolelli rose to greater public prominence in the 2010s, beginning with his appearances on popular podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience . Have you ever experienced deep shame after expressing anger, even though you had a good reason to be angry in the first place? After all, “good girls” don’t get angry, don’t cause waves, and are supposed to be "nice". But what’s the cost of not expressing your emotions? In today’s episode, I sit down with medicine woman, sound alchemist, and sister, Vylana Marcus. In this conversation, we discuss her journey, exploring how she healed, transformed, and learned to integrate anger in an incredibly powerful way, channelling the archetype, Kali Ma. More often than not, anger is signalling to us that something is out of alignment; such as a violation of our boundaries or a relationship that isn’t healthy for us. In this conversation, we dive into healing within a safe container (aka sacred union), how to release self-judgment, love ourselves unconditionally, and move into authentic self-expression. Wailana is a medicine woman who uses heart-centred modalities to guide people through the realization of their potential. As a sound alchemist, her mission is to use the science of sound to facilitate personal transformation and to help liberate people from the stories that keep them from living in the Truth of their magnificence. Her unique ability to manipulate frequency through her voice and instrumentation allows her to generate sound structures that affect the human on a holistic level. As a facilitator of psychoacoustic experiences for individuals and groups, she has witnessed sound act as a technology for accelerated healing, transformation, and the manifestation of desired states of being. Her vision is to connect people with the inner master that exists within everyone to reclaim the authority as the authors of their lives - and in doing so supporting the rebalancing of our world. Do we really have to be defined by our past and live a personal hell of self-sabotage? Is there really any excuse to live a life at a sub-par level? After hearing Rafael Garay's story, I would say not. If you don’t like who you are today, you absolutely have the power to become the person you like tomorrow. It requires hard work and dedication but stories like his prove that it’s worth it. In this episode, Rafael shares his process for self-mastery, personal development and mindset; the essentials for transformation. Rafael Garay is a motivational speaker, business coach, and an extraordinarily successful entrepreneur. After being incarcerated and nearly losing everything, Rafael decided to change the trajectory of his life. He climbed his way out from rock bottom and all the way to the top as a (now former) corporate recruiter. He began studying personal development and learning neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Rafael then went on to spend years as Director of Talent Acquisition for one of the world's largest advertising agencies until he left the corporate world to pursue his dreams. His goal is to make sure that others get to overcome their struggles and live the life they too, were born to live. With your Patreon support, we have more time to bring on the guests you love. With so much negativity online right now, are you really accomplishing all that you are capable of? Perhaps a social media diet is the VERY thing you need in order to reach your highest potential... In this episode, I sit down with my dear old friend, Sonja Ringo. We catch up after 6 lost years, share some laughs, and then dive into social media dieting and how it can work miracles in your life. Ringo shares her experience, insight, and the positive impact this 3-month break had on her mental health, creativity, and productivity. Without the constant distraction of these hypnotic, addictive apps, she even managed to complete an entire book. She then shares about the time she was nearly eaten by wolves, bears, and sea monsters while completely alone in the forest off Vancouver Island... but that's not til the end of the episode, so stay tuned. Sonja Ringo is a poet, world traveller, artist, forager and singer/songwriter. She has lived on four different continents and spent time in over 20 countries, writing poems and playing her guitar all the way around the globe. In 2015, she created a jewelry line using feathers and animal bones which she collected during her backpacking adventures. Sonja's newest creative endeavour combines original poetry with homemade paper and wild-foraged botanical inks. Deep Kumar, Yoga Master and founder of Deep Yoga, is extensively trained in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Meditation, and Pranayama. He blends the ancient traditions of yoga, such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, with an in-depth understanding of contemporary sciences like anatomy, physiology, and psychology. He has travelled and trained yoga teachers extensively all over the world, firmly believing that Yoga is both art and science, and it is in understanding your body and mind that you find transformation. In this episode, we explore the meaning of yoga and why it is needed now more than ever for the average person. We discuss how yoga can help on a physical, psychological, and intelligence level, as well as how the mind and body can manifest and store dis-ease when we repress our emotions. We then examine how yoga peels away the layers of our psyche, returning us back to our natural, blissful, state of being. With your Patreon support, we have more time to bring on the guests you love.
