It is officially the end of Season 4 – thank you for a fantastic season!! Thank you to… …all the fantastic guests this season …everyone who listened and watched the show …everyone who submitted prompts for Never Have I Ever …Flying Monkeys Brewery …Craig Scorgie (video edit) …Ryan Sheedy (audio editing) …Liz Bragale (behind-the-scenes, superstar) While the podcast is in between seasons, here are 2 ways you can continue to support the podcast: 1) Listen to any episodes you haven’t listened to yet – this helps the show continue to have audience engagement while on break. 2) The biggest help – Tell people about the show! The best chance a podcast has of reaching new listeners is by word-of-mouth, so if there’s anyone you know who might like this podcast or a specific episode, it would mean so much if you would send it their way (and thank you in advance). So thank you again, take care of yourself, and see you next season! I already can’t wait :)

In today’s episode, Amanda drinks some Christmas tea with aura photographer and the founder of Rose Aura, Evelyn Salvarinas to discuss aura readings, energy healing, and (of course) the magical world of Bravo reality TV! Evelyn is an aura photographer and the founder of Rose Aura here in Toronto. Originally from Toronto, Evelyn studied in New York City where she earned a Masters in Fine Art History at Sotheby’s Institute. During her time in the Big Apple, she discovered the power of aura photography at the shop Magic Jewelry, and enjoyed getting her aura photographed and read as frequently as she could. When she returned home to Toronto, she searched for someone who offered film aura photography - but no one had the right camera. So, craving the healing and reflective power of readings, Evelyn set out to fill the aura photography void in Toronto. And in 2017 Rose Aura was born! Evelyn also holds a Crystal Master Certification, and uses a deep knowledge of the chakras to provide unique, informative, and comfortable mystic guidance. In today’s episode, Amanda drinks some cocktails (Corpse Reviver #2 to be exact!) with the owner of Ernie’s Icebox Julia Haist to discuss starting her business Ernie’s Icebox , figuring out how to delegate as a boss, and her experience as a female director. In addition to being the founder of Ernie’s Icebox , a premium ice cream sandwich shop here in Toronto, I met Julia through her career in the performing arts. She graduated from Humber College’s theatre performance program as well as Second City’s Conservatory program, and went on to produce, write, and perform in many live theatre productions and comedy performances, including her critically-acclaimed solo show “ This is Not She” , where she was nominated for Best Solo Performance by My Entertainment World Critic’s Pick Awards. When the pandemic hit, Julia (like many others) felt she had to pivot career-wise, and so Ernie’s Icebox was born – her very own artisanal ice cream business. Since opening, Ernie’s has been featured by BlogTO, Breakfast Television, in Toronto Life’s annual Holiday Gift Guide, and has made numerous “best of” lists. In July of this year, Julia opened up a storefront for Ernie’s Icebox , located just north of Jane and Bloor here in Toronto – so check it out! Looking for more of The Liquid Courage Podcast ? Recently Bianca has set her sights on animation, using her unique voice to land roles such as “Macguffin” in Charlie’s Colorform City on Netflix, Jesse’s mom on Superwish , and “Professor Coo” on Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe on Treehouse. She also landed her a role in a feature film due out in 2023, so keep your eyes peeled! During the pandemic, Bianca started her business Casa Bianca , where she creates and sells watercolours of iconic structures and landmarks of Toronto. Hey, I’m Amanda Pereira. I’m an actor, comedian, and creator based out of Toronto, Canada, and I get stuck in my head. A lot. I put a lot of pressure on myself, and if I can’t do something perfectly I don’t do it at all. I’ve wanted to start this podcast for years and I rewrote this description too many times to count. Admitting that feels scary because now I’m wondering if you’re surprised that I settled on this as the final product. See what I mean? But I’m really tired of trying to be perfect and constantly doubting myself. Like, I need a nap. It’s makes me withdraw from the people around me and it feels impossible to make new friends. When I meet people, I’m so focused on only showing the parts of myself that I think they would like, that I might as well not even be there. This imposter syndrome is even worse when I’m around fellow actors and artists, which leaves me feeling like I “know” a ton of people in the acting and comedy community, without really knowing them at all. And damn does that ever feel lonely. But this year I’m turning 30 years old, and enough is enough! Enter: The Liquid Courage Podcast… Each week I will sit down with a different woman in the entertainment industry that I admire - that up until now I’ve felt inferior to and flawed in comparison - and finally have a truthful, one-on-one, candid conversation with them. Sound intimidating? Uh, yeah! So, in each episode my guest and I will enjoy their favourite drink (some liquid courage!) to help me get out of my head and finally ask these women the questions I’ve always wanted to.
