Happy Holidays to all! Since y’all will be hearing this the week of Christmas, we decided to give you some Christmas legends! Krysti brings us the story of Krampus in his anti-Santa glory. Nothing makes you want to be nice like a half man, half goat with a long tongue beating you with a stick if you are bad. In Bloomington Indiana they have had Krampus Rampage and Bazaar. Unfortunately we missed the boat on that, the day we recorded was the last time they held it. Tori covers Hans Trapp, the French scarecrow cannibal. Come to find out, was a real dude but the story was completely skewed as history tends to do. But at least the Black Knight sure has an interesting backstory. Gotta round it out with a legend from Iceland. Gryla the giantess and her 13 sons. Gryla listened to whispers about misbehaving children year round then collects them to make her stew. She also has the Yule Cat and his tendency to eat children that don’t have new clothes. Last but not least we have the 13 Yule Lads. Each one seems to be more gross than the next. These 13 are creepy with extreme stalker tendencies. Don’t worry, Tori doesn’t even attempt their actual names. Happy Holidays and we will catch you in 2022!
