Fred Hunter, spins a basketball tale unlike any other. In a matter of three years, Hunter went from playing intramural hoops at Michigan to earning a walk-on spot with the Wolverines to grabbing a starting slot to then captaining the 1991 Michigan squad that made its memorable run to the national title game against Duke. Oh, and he did it all while battling spina bifida, a condition that stirred persistent back issues.
